The class runs at a fast speed and the tests are difficult and somewhat tricky. She is a fair teacher though and you learn a lot from the class. Warning though, having this teacher = A LOT of studying!

very good prof, knows what she's talking about
Teaches at a very fast pace- but you will learn the material- there is no way to slide by in this class. Great teacher (especially if you need biology for your major)
speaks very quickly, gives a ton of notes but always throws in jokes to lighten things up. her test are multiple choice but are very tricky.
i had her way back when and she was a tough but worth it... i remeber things from her that i use now when im working with patients...
AMAZING Professor. One of the best for A&P at QU. Extremely hard but worth it because you come out knowing the material better than any other professor's students. Don't take her if you want to slide by with an easy class. Do take if you are looking for a challenge from one of the best professors out there. She'll respect you if you respect her.
you better like to study..and most of the time it does no good.
Excellent Anatomy Lab Professor! Very clear as to what is on the exams. She makes you work hard but is definitely worth taking! She is also available for help often.
although she is very intelligent and knows a lot she doesn't always help her students. She plays favorites and fights with students as if she was still in middle school. I learned more from a different professor and don't recommend Dr. G, unless you plan on getting you nose a little brown.
Had her for lab, probably the 2nd best A&P professor at QU next to Kaplan. Shes very clear about what she wants you to know and is always there to help. Warning, she plays heavy favorites so make sure you are on her good side, if not, it will be a very long semester
AMAZING professor. yeah she makes you work hard...but this is COLLEGE people. if you want a job in this profession...you have to learn to work hard. she's always available for help and she is a wonderful person
great professor-if you want to learn i suggest u take her but you will need to study hard and show up to class-4 tests 1 cumulative final (all mult choice)-tests based off every detail of notes-also has peer tutors twice a week for review
Great professor-you learn A LOT in this class. must attend every class and study hard for her tests to do well. You can just memorize you must understand-all tests mult. choice-not bad if you do what i say-if you want to learn and work hard take if you want to barely make it out of BIO with no effort do not take or you will fail
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! TESTS ARE RIDCULOUS, SHE'S A MEAN PERSON, SHE'LL CUT YOU DOWN AND NOT THINK ANYTHING ELSE OF IT. IF YOU ARE A MEAN, SPITEFUL PERSON, YOU MAY BE AMONG HER FAVORITES. IF NOT, GOOD LUCK!
has high expectations but if you go to class & review sessions and study you will succeed. very straightforward about what will be on tests. makes sure you learn the material not just memorize facts. excellent professor...not always the nicest
SERIOUSLY SO HARD do not take her outlines seem so simple and the tests are so hard. do not question her on your grade she will be very defensive and rude. I do very well in sciences and was lucky to get a B in the class.
I wouldn't recommend her, she is a very good professor and I learned a lot from her but barely passed b/c her tests are extremely difficult and very detail oriented. Test questions seem to be worded to confuse, I would try to avoid her if possible
You'll learn a lot, but you'll walk out of the class with a C if you're lucky. Very difficult. Makes everything seem so easy in class until you read her impossibly worded exams. It's as if she wants you to fail. Try and take another professor if you can.
She is a mean person. Not willing to help at all. If you question her, she will not like you. Makes class seem extremely easy and the tests are worded to confuse and trick you. I do extremely well in all sciences and am lucky to even pass this class.
This lady is VAIN!!! She is rude and has no communication skills. She speaks to you as if you are below her. She does not respect students and shows zero interest in changing. Two words to summarize: Bad person.
Terrible with students! I have her as an advisor, she will not work with your needs and refuses to do her job. She had asked me twice to access material that she knows I do not have access to as a student. This affects my work negatively as I can't be there when needed due to her refusal to help me as her job description states. Very rude!
Worst professor I've ever had. She does not use power points and just stands in the front of the room and lectures. She does not explain concepts well. She is not helpful, and is mean. She has no interest in her students and is very condescending. Avoid at all costs
Condescending, arrogant, pompous..."can you say power trip"
Geremia is great for a teacher if you didn't need to take the tests. She makes the material easy to understand, but her tests are very hard! I definitely recommend studying a week in advanced. It's helpful to go to the review sessions, but know the material beforehand.
Supposed to advise students but doesn't. Messed up with grad students royally. Rude. Conveniently "loses" paperwork if she doesn't like you. If you don't kiss her you-know-what, don't expect to graduate on time if she is your "advisor". No respect for others and for that reason, gets little from me.
Dr. Geremia is an excellent professor and a funny woman. She is very clear in class as to what you need to learn. Print her provided lecture notes, detail these with what she says in class (pay very close attention), attend the weekly (1hr) review session & read her exam questions closely. Getting an A or B in this class is simple if you study.
I had to request her help with scheduling issues and being placed in a class. She was the least helpful person I have ever talked to and I have had an extremely stressful and frustrating experience trying to register because of her. She was rude and extremely unwilling to help or listen to me. TERRIBLE ADVISOR
One word of advice, RECORD HER LECTURES, believe me it is impossible to get the extent of the material copied to the lecture notes(which are extremely vague) when she is lecturing a million miles a minute. It may seem like a lot of work to go back and re-listen to exams and take good notes, but believe me it will be worth it. Her exams are hard.
She talks a mile a minute & everything she says is fair game on exams but it is not all in the lecture notes. My advice is to record her lectures and during class pay attention to what she says and understand it, then go back and retake your notes from listening to the recording. Her exams ARE meant to trick you so be aware of that!
Not the devil some make her out to be. She's actually very nice and really wants you to learn. However, she is incredibly difficult. Her teaching style works for some, but not for others. Good luck!
Really hard class but Dr. Geremia really wants to help students who put the effort into her class-it was sometimes difficult to schedule office hours with her but she is a very fair teacher
Dr.G is a wonderful professor. She is very clear as to what you need to know for exams, but they can be a little on the difficult side. The material you learn in her class is extremely helpful for the future, and she really knows her stuff. BEWARE: she can be difficult to deal with when it comes to scheduling issues and other concerns with students
Horrible person. She constantly contradicted herself when teaching ECGs. Not clear. Tests are easy, but subjective meaning she grades them however she wants. Never available; will have to wait an hour for her to get to you during office hours then she will tell you her office hours are over and won't see you. Doesn't want students to succeed.
Geremia is easily the best professor at QU. People always talk badly about her but thats because they clearly didn't do well. If you print out powerpoint like suggested and add to them you will do fine. Honestly learned the most in her class.
Professor Geremia is a very good professor and lecturer, but the tests are very difficult. Often will try to trick you on questions. Lets you record the lectures which is very helpful and has office hours. This course you have your work cut out for you, but you will come out learning a lot. Overall, I liked her as a professor.
If you have her scheduled as a teacher, i highly recommend you switch out. At first she seems like she is sweet and nice when she shows you pictures of her little dogs. But she is not all the sweet and nice, she gives an incredibly hard test and expects you to learn everything in a high pace. If you don't understand she gets mad.
Tests are hard and she uses many trick questions.
Professor Geremia is awesome. I was nervous about the class at first but have really come to enjoy it. She makes having an 8 am lecture actually exciting. She is energetic, clear in her explanations, makes sure EVERYONE understands before moving on, and her tests are fair and easy if you study her notes and put in the effort. She is a sweetheart!!
Amazing doctor and professor. The lab is difficult in itself and Doctor Geremia is always there to help. This class is a lot of self-learning, so be ready to work hard.
Geremia is the most incredible professor here at QU. She is brilliant, hilarious, and her lectures are crystal clear. The tests are hard and the material is tough but if you print out the powerpoints and take notes and study hard, you will learn so much! Getting an A in that class was so rewarding and its helped me in my current bio classes!
Best teacher I have ever had. Extremely caring, and if you make an effort to see her outside of class she will break everything down for you. Must take!
GREAT PROFESSOR! Everyone says she's tough, but really just the material/course in general is tough--tests are very straightforward and fair. No trick questions, and is such a HUGE help if you ask questions during test taking. I made sure I'm in her class for next semester. Highly recommend.
By far one of the best professors at QU. The material is tough, but the tests are fair. She cares so much for her students, and truly wants everyone to succeed.
Most amazing professor I've ever had. Genuinely wants her students to do well. She is very intelligent and personable. Makes her self available outside class to help you understand the material. Makes everything more interesting, it makes me want to be just as knowledgeable on topics as well. I wish I could take her every semester.
Cannot understand why her rating is so poor. Dr. Geremia is the most caring and straightforward professor I have ever had at QU. She is so smart, so funny, and she actually makes the lectures simple to understand, and if you do not understand she WILL make sure that you do. Yes the subject is hard, but she will go out of her way to help you.
Dr. Geremia is outgoing and interactive and really does all she can to make her students succeed. She is a little disorganized. Lecture notes may not be posted until night before/morning of and practice questions not posted until 1 or 2 days before the exam. However, she is not as difficult as people make her out to be. Study and you'll be fine!
Dr. Geremia really cares about each students success and gives the class as many resources as she can to ensure everyone gets a good grade. She makes her lectures interesting and fun. She has a great personality which makes class more enjoyable. Her tests are very fair, definitely take her if you can!
Geremia is great! I have her for lecture and lab, it was a great choice. She really cares about her students and is available to help you at office hours. I went to her office probably one a week and it has helped me so much. I had her at 8am and she made everyone feel awake and ready to learn. Test are fair study her notes and you're fine!
Literally in love with Geremia she is the best professor I have ever had at Quinnipiac. She makes lecture very interesting and genuinely wants you to enjoy the class I always feel extremely prepared for exams. Definitely taking her again.
Dr. Geremia is amazing. She made one of the hardest course at QU very enjoyable. She has so much enthusiasm and you can tell she cares so much about all of her students. She is hilarious and always helpful if you have any questions. Definitely taking her again next semester!
Geremia's "packet style learning" instead of 100+ slide powerpoints makes the material easier to follow. She provides a lot of visuals and breaks down hard topics into charts or easier steps. She puts a lot of effort into our notes, which shows that she really wants us to do well. Her tests are fair and her energy makes the class enjoyable!
Great professor. Teaches only early classes, but worth it. Gives lot of information on print outs but explains everything thoroughly. Does quick recap of last lecture at beginning of every lecture. Tests are straightforward & just need to know lecture notes. Connect quizzes are annoying. Available for help & caring.
It is obvious that Dr. Geremia is really passionate about the subject and about her students. She makes the class feel like part of her family. Her lectures are very informative but never boring. She explains difficult topics in a way that is easy to understand and remember. I HIGHLY recommend taking her class, she is great!
Dr. G is literally my hero. She is is so entertaining, so knowledgeable, and has so much compassion. This is not an easy course to begin with, but she goes out of her way to make the material very understandable and easy to remember. She is an excellent teacher, she has a lot of experience, and is very easy to talk to if you reach out to her
Professor Geremia is one of the best professors I have ever had. I had her for both BIO 211 and 212 and she made the course load as simple and clear as possible. She gives so many review strategies, like practice quizzes and review sheets for every exam. She also is always available for office hours or just review.
Prof. Geremia has been one of my favorite professors at QU so far. Anatomy is not easy with any professor but Geremia does her best to make the class relatable to the students and teaches in a way that helps you remember the material. Her exams are straight forward and from her lecture notes. I wish I had taken her for both semesters of A&P
I have never met someone who cares so much about the subject they are teaching and the students she has. Dr. Geremia is literally my hero. Anatomy is hard in itself, but she goes the extra mile to make sure every student is succeeding. She inspires me to do well in school and actually learn the material. TAKE HER she is the best teacher ive had.
Dr. Geremia is awesome! She really cares about her students and makes an effort to get to know them. She advocates for her students and is very fair. She allows her classes to vote for when the exams are given. She teaches via her own packets which is amazing because her exams re directly from them. She also has extra office hours for exams.
Geremia is very energetic and she teaches to her tests. Her lecture notes are super helpful but sometimes she goes way too fast when going over material. Most of the time she is nice but she definitely has a bit of an attitude. A&P is hard no matter who you have but she made it easier
Makes a 3 hr lab into a 1.5 hr (at most) lab. Clearly explains everything and tells you what's going to be on the exams. Fantastic person and professor.
Geremia was a great professor! She brings a level of enthusiasm that is unmatched, and she gives a quick break in the middle of lecture for a mental break. She gives word docs that she made instead of ppts, and she gave a study guide for the final. She is clear in what she wants you to know and is accessible outside of class. Take her!!
Extremely rude to students. When asking for help she responds with "That should be obvious" . Anything not exactly how she wants it will be wrong. The example projects she hands out are from people who got 75s and that was supposedly amazing . She is passive aggressive and will email your advisors while ignoring your original emails asking for help
Tells students that they should care more about the material than the grade and then gives horribly difficult tests where even if you write something correct if you don't have the EXACT word she's looking for its wrong. Refuses to take feedback. Never admits when wrong. Rude and condescending in class and over email. Rushes you out of office hours
Reviews are most likely mixed because Prof tends to favor her better students. Personally, I found it very easy to ace her exams. If you've taken AP Bio where all the questions are applications, this is NOTHING like that. All exams are MC & super straightforward, ie. what is this. Her notes are super clear. Not much HW. I would highly recommend!
By far the worst anatomy lecture teacher at QU. If you don't do top-notch on the exam, she will email you and your advisor saying how bad you did and make you attend her office hours where she will tell you you're stupid for every wrong answer you chose. Most condescending professor I have ever met. DO NOT TAKE HER!
Dr. Geremia was great! Uses note handouts that are an outline of her powerpoints. Everything on that handout is fair game for her exams. As long as you knew the information from the handout, exams were not bad. Would recommend.
I had Dr. Geremia for both semesters of anatomy and she is the most amazing professor I have had at QU so far!! She's so nice and her lectures are amazing. She makes the difficult material a lot simpler and does everything she can to make the class interesting. Her lecture notes have everything that are on the exams. She's the best definitely take!
She is extremely condescending if you ask a question about clarification. If you get anxiety from speaking infant of people DO NOT TAKE HER. She calls on students randomly and if you cannot answer for any reasons she just states how you need to do better.
Her tests are fair since most of the questions come straight from the powerpoints however if you dont ace it she will email your advisor and other teachers. Dont take her if you dislike public speaking since she calls out random people in class to answer and will be condescending if you get it wrong. Becomes irate when asked to explain answers.
She is such a Karen. If you have the chance to not take please don't. She is not understanding and she has a lot of unnecessary attitudes. She is the one who asks us if we have any questions and then doesn't properly answer them when we ask. She sometimes doesn't even answer your emails. The WORST.
Is a nice professor, have heard good things when classes were not online, however taking her has been awful. Her tests are impossible and she will tell you to study what she puts in her packets and then either include other material not reviewed or all the questions will be on all the little details of one concept and very few on everything else
Very very condescending and acts like she never does anything wrong and that you are the problem when more than half the class fails the test. Do not take
It's really great how she provides you with her own notes from each chapter, which is what she uses to lecture, but she was not understanding of how much harder it is to learn this information over zoom, and she was not very good at answering questions clearly. I feel like she might not be so bad in person, but online is definitely not it.
I cannot speak to how she teaches in-person but over zoom her class was very tricky. Not only do you not learn the same over a computer let alone anatomical structure but she did not change her tests to reflect this change in our capacity to learn this info online. Do not take for online instruction.
Dr. G is a great woman and a great professor. She really cares about her students and made the class just as it would have been in a normal classroom setting (she's fully virtual). Only complaint is she makes you do stupid padlet assignments that are useless and grades them tough. Other than that would recommend.
Dr. G is a great option for A&P. A&P is hard in general, but she is a great professor. If you print out her notes and participate you should be fine. Just be prepared to study and use her office hours, they are helpful!! Sometimes she nags and can have an attitude but she knows what she is talking about. The tests aren't too bad.
Dr. G is VERY strict. I am currently taking the web based anatomy and we cannot use the bathroom, eat (in our own bedroom), or turn your camera off for any reason. If you do any of these things expect an email after class. We just had exam 1 and she accused 182 students of cheating. This woman is crazy. You will regret taking this class.
Please just save yourself from pain. This class was all online and I literally got acid reflux before every class. U MUST always have your camera on and can not turn it off for one second without her calling you out. She wastes so much time saying ur a distraction when SHE's the one. U can't even eat in ur own bedroom. The class is hard enough.
Seems like nice/caring out of school, might be better in person lecture. Will call you out for turning camera off for 1 sec, remove you from class if you say one thing to friend during class (on mute), you can't go to the bathroom or you may miss the quiz that happens randomly and is unfairly timed/graded. Can't help but zone out during lecture.
Most absurd class Ive ever taken. I am not a C student and Professor Geremia has turned me into that. She is extremely condescending and extremely strict. She frequently kicks people out of zooms and will call any of the 80 students in class out for eating or talking while being muted. exams include tiny details for the amount of info learned.
I'm not a C student but with her class I am. She wastes time calling people out on zoom for turning the camera off, going to the bathroom, talking with mute on, or drinking water. She will remove you. Exams are unfair on content never discussed in class or on small details. If you care about keeping your major and GPA DO NOT TAKE PLS SAVE YOURSELF!
Professor Geremia seems like a nice lady but she is an awful professor. She is so very strict with her rules with online learning. We are unable to turn off our cameras even for a second, not allowed to eat or drink, etc. Her practice exams are NOTHING like her actual exams, and we are tested on the smallest details. Save your GPA and stay away.
Geremia is STRICT online, no eating, no cams off or you will get an email after class (even to go to BR). Daily quizzes that are 3 mins and 5 q's. She literally sees everything and will call you out in the middle of class. Exams are hard but does give you notes. AP is hard but there are better profs.
DO NOT TAKE. She is the worst prof I have ever had. No matter how much you study or how prepared you feel, the exam is always extremely hard for no reason. I am by no means a C student but on her exams I cannot even get an 80. She rushes the lectures and is extremely rude, condescending, and strict. Cannot even use the bathroom.. ridiculous.
Avoid taking her if you can! Her teaching style is awful, especially online, and she comes off as condescending and rude. Instead of teaching the material, she talks at you and expects you to basically know everything already. Her exams arent super hard but you definitely have to study. You can probably take her if you dont mind a rude personality.
I can not even begin to describe what a horrible person she is. She does not care at all about you or your grades. only 25 out of 90 students ever get A's on exams. She is the worst ever please just stay away. She makes me cry out of anger and her class is so difficult. There is no need to scam kids out of good grades but she does it and loves it.
Professor G was by far the worst experience Ive had with a prof at QU. She is mean, condescending, and extremely strict and unforgiving of the circumstances of us being online. She lectures to the point where questions cant be asked and her exams are extremely hard compared to other anatomy profs. She gets extremely detailed with her questions.
Most students dislike her because of her strict rules, 20 page syllabus, and inability to admit that she is wrong; however, if you can see beyond all of that, she's not that bad. She definitely knows the material, and she's much nicer when meeting one on one than during lecture. A&P is tough, so you have to put in the work no matter what.
I took Dr.G both semesters and it was very difficult. Her online class became stressful as there were participation polls almost every class that counted towards your grade. She is a nice lady and knows the material she is teaching but she is better one-on-one. You have to work very hard in this class. Avoid taking her online class.
She was so bad, I wanted to give her a zero. But thats not possible, so I give her a one.
If you can look past her long lectures & strict rules w class being online, then you could prob take her. She requires camera on and calls people out when they turn it off for even a second but ig it keeps you somewhat engaged. She lectures very fast and hard to keep up but she knows material. Exams are pretty straightforward you just have to study
She is a rude professor who has no idea what she is talking about when it comes to personability. She is very mean and passive-aggressive when it comes to asking for help. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE.
N.O. she's so so rude its not even funny and cant ever admit when she's wrong or makes mistakes. Clearly only cares about a grade at the end of the day not the well being of her students. She's so passive aggressive in class and makes short backhanded comments. Class is hard and only likes you if you're an A+ student. PS. make me cry one time.
I personally love Dr. G.I actually learn things and I'm doing well in her class. I find her notes helpful and clear and the questions on her exams are straight forward. If you put in the work, study, and reread her notes you will do well in her class.
such a terrible and mean professor. literally dont take her unless you want to get called out in class. she is so passive aggressive and will hold grudges against you. extremely unhelpful. no doubt that she's smart but she assumes since she's been studying anatomy for 100 years that you should know it as much as her. avoid at all costs!!
Prof G relates the material to real life situations which makes it a lot easier to understand. Anatomy is a very difficult class but she does her best to make it very clear. Her exams are based off notes provided. She posts practice questions at least a week before every exam and those practice questions are very similar to her exams. Take her!!
I loved her! Anatomy is going to be hard no matter what. She does try to challenge you, but if you know the material and truly understand it then you will do great on the exams. If you study more than a week in advance, you will do fine. Her lectures consist of paper packets which make learning much easier and she really is a great teacher.
if you are in a health sciences dual degree program, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! You definitely learn a lot but this course requires way more work than other anatomy professors expect, save your GPA.
This is the worst professor you will ever have. Do not take this class unless you hate you life.
Honestly this class was not the easiest but her lectures were so specific that the tests were not bad at all. She gives connect study exams that you should definitely take. Attendance is absolutely mandatory and if you miss more than 2 classes then its not looking good for you.
GENUINELY HAVE NEVER HAD A WORSE TEACHER THAN HER. she is the rudest women alive and wants to make her students suffer by shoving her slides in your face. She does not care about anything else other than biology and anatomy. Unless you took AP bio your senior year of highschool you will not understand anything but she expects you to already know.
DO NOT TAKE! I unfortunately had to withdraw from the class for she made it impossible to pass. When I met with the professor over zoom regarding my grade she was not understanding of the fact that I had accommodations and would talk at me instead of to me. Says she wants you to pass but does not provide any help to do so. Would not recommend.
Geremia lectures so fast it is so hard to get everything down. BIO103 is hard with anyone but she is not too bad. Idk if I would take her again. Lectures are painful to sit through. No electronic class so all notes need to be taken by hand.
This class has changed semester to semester, but when I took her she was OK. She lectures A LOT and is a very harsh grader on assignments. I do feel like I learned a lot in the class and when I paid attention and took notes I did well!
When you take Geremia, you NEED to get on her good side. Ask for meetings to go over things. Do the review questions. Do everything in your power to pass AND YOU WILL. People are lazy in this class and it really shows. BIO 103 isn't easy, but this really will prepare you for BIO211 and 212. She does not give leeway on case studies though.
Great lecturer and I feel that I learned a lot but my grade does not reflect that. She made a difficult class feel almost impossible. VERY tough grader on case studies which were 20% of the grade (most students failed). Does not take students concerns well and will use any of your shortcomings to defend herself instead of addressing the issue.
If I could go back. I would take a different professor. Prof. Geremia was good at explaining topics, but every other aspect of her teaching was horrible. She was not accommodating or understanding, and she would speak down to her students. She is a very harsh grader and did not have clear instructions for her assignments.
BI211 with Professor Geremia is challenging, but manageable if you stay on top of the material. Attendance is a must, and the textbook is helpful. Using unstuck AI alongside other study tools like ChatGPT can make preparing for exams much easier.
