Too Picky...She leaves you notes like a preschool kid. You have to use her symbols and the surprise quizzes are a pain. She is nice but she piles alot of stuff on you ESPECIALLY during the EXAMS!!!Not enough time to finish all the questions she gives.

She is kind of picky...but as long as you follow her order, you will be ok in her class, and she is very helpful, you can go to ask her questions and she will teach you as many as she can. Exam is kind hard.So better doing good during the normal time.

SHE IS ANAL! You have to be good at Math before you can taker her class. She lectures quickly and consider her classes to be a review of what you should already know. In order to get an A you must not miss class, participate, do all your work and pass all her tests She does not cut anybody any slack
She runs through the book quickly, oh do not read ahead of the book, she does not like it. Overall she a good teacher

Ms. Ingram is very clear and concise. If you are bad, or not interested in math, her teaching method will help you get it. She explains every step, and does not expect you "to just know" like most math teachers, I was she was teaching 131!

The worst math teacher I have ever taken in my life. Hard to grade
This is one of the creastest teacher I've ever have. Just think about it when there's like half of the class dropping within first 2~3 weeks, and receiving like 300 questions per night, pop-quiz almost everyday and you may get 2 chapter tests in 1 week. If you trying to find a easy class, not her!
Mrs. Ingram is the best, sure she has her own style to grade test,HW and participation but then again what teacher doesn't. She is very clear in her explanations of every lesson. I took her for math 402, now I'm in math 125 with her and I would take in Math 131 if she taught it too. Great Professor.

Maaaan, do not take her for 131. Her test questions do not look like the questions in the text at all. You can study 7 hours a day and still, you will not recognize what you see on her test. She acts very nice but throughout the whole class I could sense the evil in her, LoL. Basically to sum it up, she is hard for no damn reason.

ms. ingram so far to me is a good teacher. i love the fact that she believes in group work, and honestly that really helps me make new friends and understand the concepts shes taking. math in my past has been the worst class for me cause i used to get bored and confused by looking at the book and listening to the teacher. the fact that ms. ingram makes us put away our books while she is lecturing is awesome. the pop quizes are straight-forward and the hw isnt that much either. y does everyone hate her?
avoid her if you can, but if not then just try to enjoy the ride. She doesn't hand back homework. Even though the answer is correct, you have to mkae sure the work you put on your paper was correct or she will mark you off for it.

This instructor is very hard and the way she grades test is not fair. Whats wrong with having the right answer, I thought that was what learning math was all about. Right answers mean nothing to this instructor. Why get tutored when you will only get right answers wrong.
She is a nice teacher, but her grading scale is unfair. she don't care how hard you try, once u mess on you test, ur done for the class. what ever grade you got on the test will be you final grade.

Don't take her class!!! Her test questions were too much and she didn't give enough time to finish. When she is teaching, she even have problem to solve questions, but she expect us to solve that much questions during the test.

Ingram is possibly the hardest math teacher at PCC. Her tests are hard and very long and most students arent prepared for them. Extremely unfair grading system. Demanding teacher...if you arent very good at math already dont take her, you wont get a good grade. Math has always been my best subject and I will likely barely get an A, maybe a B.

Just imagine starting off the year with 28-30 students and dropping down to 11 in the MIDDLE of the year. If you dont have a solid background in math don not take her class because you WILL drop. ALL quizes are pop quizes and test have a ridiculous amount of time to complete. Her grading system makes it nearly impossible to recieve an A.
she is the worst prof ever... her pop quizzes will make ur grade down..dunt hv enough time for test too...she says like we MUST knoe all the materials...comeon..we r student and of course we will hv to think...but once we think, we wunt finish the test...even if we never think for any problem, it is tough to finish all on time...

Do not take her class. She will not pass you even if you do your homework. On the first day of class she said " If you didn't get an "A" on your last class you wont be passing this one. Like what the others posted, imagine a class that started with 30+ students and reduced to 12 at week 11. Her grading system makes it nearly impossible to get an A, and expects you to know the material like second nature. She gave us a test that stated it takes 1 hr 45 min, but gave us 75 min to complete. Not baller at all...

Her class was very difficult for me especially since her tests were very hard. She was very picky but I really enjoyed her class. She was really kind and understanding. I really liked her but her class was very difficult for most people.
She does not understand the concept of a student. Basically she wants you to be at her level; she does not understand that we have only a semester to learn, in contrast with the years of experience she has. She teaches. She gives pop quizes that are timed for speed; no real time to check. Tests are dumb. The final is a how-much-can-you-do exam.
honestly...like honestly! i took her this winter..and she is SOOOO HARD! she even confuses herself sometimes..the homework and all is easy but when it comes to the tests which is 50% of your grade...she picks to hardest questions. and the worse thing is she made the final easy which is only 20%. so i dont recommend her.
I think she enjoys seeing students geting pain. Actually,the quiz,test and the final were not hard but she gave us a difficult way to finish. A fifteen minutes pop-up quiz we had to finish 6 problems(include application). An 1 hours test she gave us over 20 problems. The 2 hours final,there were nearly 80 problems waiting for us.Everybody got mad.

IGRAM is just a GPA killer.i took her class in fall and i got a C.NOW i m taking a class in math 8 and i got 3 100% out of five test and one 99% and one 90%, i still think i m really good at maths.if r u feeling sick about your high GPA,take her.

Very unfair with grading .Everyday in class while showing the class how to do problems shes make at least 3 or more errors throwing the whole class off. She also gives surprise quizzes when the class is still trying to learn how to understand the concept shes poorly trying to teach. I think it is safe to say that she is an incompetent instructor.
I took this professor in Spring of 2006, and I have now been in college for 5 years, and I can honestly say she is the worst teacher I have ever had. She grades unfairly, and could careless how a student does in a class. She appears to be a nice person, but don't be deceived. Don't take her or drop her class ASAP before it's too late.

She is very cheerful but her teaching is horrible and grading is unfair. her test are long and not enough time to finish. she also would make off points for not having the correct format that she wanted. such as marking points off for not skipping lines.

ok, everyone here knows that math 131 and math 3 is same stuff right? ok, here is how she teach in her class, she explains a freaking easy problem in a frustrating way,yeah REALLY FRUSTRATING!!! i had a B+ in my math 131 class and i have an F in her class, LoL? by the time like 4 weeks later, most of the students are gone from 40 to 10 or less.

She's a nice lady and a good teacher. She makes the classroom a fun and productive environment. The class is by no means "easy" and you have to be open to a lot of pop quizes but the homework is pretty workable.

I took her during summer intersesion on '07. Class was ok. HW really help for test and always do corection w/ the whole class. Test r finem, not that hard.

I got an A on all my homework, but somehow failed all her tests. She came halfway into the semester after being on maturnity leave, always showed up late to class - test days too. she's horrible.

I wanted to punch her in the face every time I had her class. Her personality annoyed me and seemed fake. Our class sat in assigned groups and if we didn't talk to our group she'd take points. She's a pain in the ass when teaching. She gives more interested in the god dam Smartboard than to her job. She sucks with using a computer too, which takes teaching time away. Probably half of the class was from her fiddling around with the smartboard.Also homework is done online, so you don't get help from her.DON'T TAKE HER! YOU WILL REGRET IT

Steer clear of her unless you are a math prodigy. And even then, if you have a bad quiz group your grade will plummet and she will blame you for not teaching the kids in your group. And if you get a bad group grade in the beginning, you will fail. Test problems are 100x times more difficult than any problems she gives prior to it. STAY AWAY!!
A nightmare! The grading is unfair, HW is absurd, the quizzes are understandable but they don't translate well into to the tests. If you don't already know the stuff, you will probably fail. The worst part, after I failed, I went to take the assesment exam again and I passed to 131. Save your GPA!!! Don't take this course if you're not a math wiz!
Im returning to college after a 5 year hiatus. My math skills sucked(hence the 402 class) but she actually made things a lot clearer. Im completely anti social so i didnt like her mandatory group thing, but other than that i thought she was fantastic. And by the way, for those who said no one gets an A, I actually did.
Ugh. Beware. If you are planning to take her, or she's the only choice you've got left(Like me), you have to make sure that you keep up and not make any mistakes EVER in her class. Grading is ridiculously picky to the point of unfair and her group grading system is detrimental at best towards your grade.

I almost dropped her class because of all the comments on here. I had her winter 2011 at 8am. She was so nice and peppy and willing to answer questions. But I never had any questions since she made everything so clear. I passed with a B. I took this class with another professor and got a D. I know I could've gotten an A if I had done more hw and we didn't have "group" quizzes. The hw is online but you can always ask for deadline extensions and EC for improving. Just ALWAYS follow her directions!
I dont know why ppl say shes difficult. She is very percise on how she teaches, and makes everything clear for you. The homeowrk is done online, which isnt the best, but, it has a tutor on there. the group work is good to me, cuz we teach eachother what we dont understand. only downfall is if your late she gives you a D or absent an F for the day!
I dont know about 402 and 131 classes that she teaches. But if you took her 7A or above level math. You have to show all the steps in class. If you are those people who just know the answer, I strongly recommend you not to take her. She gave me the lowest grade ever in PCC. FYI: I am finishing up Math5C right now with a B.
I received an A, but this class was ridiculous. Throughout the semester, we had so many pop quizzes, which were fairly easy, but took up a chunk of our class time and left little time for actual learning. She requires you to show EVERY LITTLE STEP on her long tests, which take up even more of your time. Only plus is that homework is done online.
This teacher is so hard. I understand that we do not have the whole day to be in class but she just assumes her students understood everything. If students would ask her to explain she would just confuse them more. I actually liked the group thats actually how i learned the material. if math is a difficult subject DO NOT take her class!!!

She's the worst professor ever! She's almost always tardy yet expects you to be on-time. Her tests go far beyond and away from the actual homework, and her grading system is too severe. DO NOT TAKE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO FAIL. This is coming directly from a former A student.
Everything is due online and takes forever to complete. It's easy but you can only rely on the computer to teach you so much. She expects answers to look like the bookwork, if not points are taken away. Attendance is mandatory. Take it only if you passed 131 with an A.

From a former student with a good grade, I now have to retake this class. Ingram is not a good teacher, she wants bookwork, if you screw up one tiny detail, you lose .5 to 1 point in her tests. Speaking of tests, don't expect to pass them. In fact, I don't see her name in 7A for Spring 2012, so I guess she got kicked out of teaching that class.
If you're not a student who is willing to work hard to get a decent grade, don't take this class. HW is done online. The tests are very difficult, but go to her office hours they really help! She's very specific with how you show your work on tests & wants you to know concepts not the right answer. She's helpful, nice, and is always cheerful.
She prepared me for Math9 class. Math 9 is pretty easy because she was strict when it comes to showing the work. I am pleased to have her as a math teacher. She has a great sense of humor. You gotta be boring if you dont laugh at her jokes.
I lke that she gets to know herstudents really well. She'll joke with you. what i like best with her is that she is so organize. Im an organize person and so it helps me that she doesnt jump from one topic to another. Im sssooooo glad I took her class. NO REGRETS!!

Do not take this professor. She basically uses a computer program in order for you to learn. She does not teach,and is absent frequently (because she is working on her doctorates). The tests are difficult. There is a lot of homework,which you get no credit for. If you don't take quiz,or do a homework though,points are taken off from the exam.
Terrible teacher, I don't recommend this teacher to any one. There is a large amount of homework that you don't get credit for and you pretty much have to learn from the computer cuz she doesn't teach some of the stuff that is in the homework. 50% of your grade are exams, the exams are really complex and she takes points off for EVERYTHING!

Do not take this class . I think she might be one of the worst TEACHRS I've ever had. None of the problems you encounter in the homework or in class will show up on the tests. If this is the last section wait until next semester to take math. If you're reading this and you're in progress in one of her classes ... drop it .
Prof. Ingram is extremely difficult. She goes through the material too fast and isn't willing to help students by stopping to explain. She mocks students who don't understand after her vague explanation. A seating chart and pop quizzes in college? Might as well go back to middle school. She's a likable person but her class structure is awful!
Too much HW, most of the HW is easy to complete, but she doesn't teach everything in class, so you would have to learn from the book or online because you will be stuck on 5 problems in the HW and it will take you forever to figure them out, don't skip them because they pop up on the tests.

If you normally struggle with math I don't recommend taking her class. She does not manage class time well at all. She rushes through lessons and gives you pop quizzes on the material shortly after. Homework is all online but you have to complete 50+ homework questions (and get a 90% or better) before you can move onto the quiz.
This Teacher is Horrible. She'll stand up in class pretending to be your buddy and stab you right in the back when your not looking. Tests are nothing what she taught you. I once got one question wrong because I put a line through my zero.. Don't take this class!!!

This class was very upsetting. Why is everything online. Why does she assign seats and why is the ability to zoom in on my math lab so important?! I found this class completely useless and odd. Please for the love of yourself ... Do not take this class.
Has very high standards but does not explain them clearly. Goes by how she wants things very briefly and then fails you when they are wrong on the test. Very nice person. Very Bad professor
She's nice and helpful, but can be extremely rude and hypocritical. She expects students to use online program called "my math lab", but does not allow technology or book in class. She expects students to do things "her" way and is slightly rude when students ask questions. She needs to be reminded to open the course on my math lab.
Like Drago, she will break you. If you already have covered Algebra 2 in high school and still know it WELL, then you might pass this class with a good grade. If you are learning this material for the first time or haven't had math for a long time or at any time struggle with any of the concepts, you will get a bad grade.
The problem with Math courses taught at PCC is that they cover material at 3 or 4 times twice the pace of high school. Many students who take this class or any class have had this material before, so this class is easy for them. So be sure that you are comfortable with the pace of this class from chapter P review. If not, then drop immediately.

Prof. Ingram really explains things well, grades tests quickly and is always energetic and upbeat. She is one of those people who are really good teachers and relate to their students. The tests seemed long, but she usually adds some extra time at the end.

It clarifies how she grades and what you be facing later on the semester (although dates might change- you got to be flexible). As a plus personalizes the lessons so it's not book. Assigned seats. Online HW doesn't help your grade at all. Online quizzes after hw that do count for a lot. Lot of work for little payoff. She's personable at least. Worst is she didn't even cover all of 7A. She barely BEGAN to cover sin,cos,tan etc. in THE LAST 3 WEEKS OF CLASS!? How do you even get that far behind? I was NOT prepared for 7B at ALL
Online material, which is called mymathlab, doesnt help your grade. If you are taking her class, you will wast time and money.
You're better off learning it on your own and do the hardest paroblems on the book if you want to pass. She is inept with students and refuses to help them to a certain degree. Dr. Ingram's Math 131 class was really tough for me. She does pop quizzes frequently, and you'll be working with other students almost everyday. She's very clear about what kind of work she needs to see for your quizzes and exams, so please pay attention because she will deduct points.

But I got through 7A IN SPITE of your MyMathLab setup with the tedious, useless HW/then quizzes thing. Also, no, we don't like being treated like children or getting so far behind I had to play catch-up in 7B.
Excellent teacher who pays alot of attention to detail. If you ask me thats what makes a great teacher in algebra because minor mistakes are imperative. I learned alot in MATH 125. Many people who fail her class are lazy and don't care much for school. Expect long work for problems. Thats MATH 125 (Work is required) Do the work to pass class!
If you are thinking about taking this class, do know that in class, during the class work, she will not help you. Instead, she will tell you to be social and ask your peers for help. If they don't get it, she encourages you to copy someone!! She also wants you to write them VERY specifically. If you don't, you get minus points in her tests/exams!!
Ppl LOVE to complain about Prof. Ingram. Yes she expects you to show work a specific way because it literally makes sense that way. We all learned a very messy method of showing work, she teaches you a better and clearer way to do it. I passed alg on my 3rd and last chance because of her and I WISH I could take her again. She's NOT as bad as these reviews are making her look. If you hate math, avoid her, but if you like math and are willing to be pushed, take her and it will actually leave you better off. Because of the solid algebra foundation she gave me, I actually went on to pass math 7A, 7B, and 5A all with A's and currently getting an A in math 5B.

I got dropped a whole letter grade on a few tests because she is so anal about things. 2/3 the class dropped. Had to drop the class too and pushed my transfer back a semester.
Extremely nit-picky. She doesn't care if you learn about math: only if you do the math exactly the way she wants you to do it. You could get every question right on a test and still receive an F because you didn't organize everything the ways she demanded it to be.
She doesn't focus on making sure you understand math, only that you follow her specific directions. Getting the wrong answer, but following her exact directions will get an A on a test. But getting all right answers and forget to follow 1 or 2 directions and you get an F. I got my first and only F from this professor.
Don't get me wrong, Ingram is a nice person. Her way of teaching is strong, but her grading rubric makes the class HARD. You can expect up to 3 online quizzes in 1 week w/ 3 math assignments. If you forget to take a quiz, you don't get a 0; you get -20%. Exams are worth 45% of your grade. it's almost impossible to get an A bc of how picky she grade

Here's the deal, the way she lectures I had no problem with, she was actually pretty good at it I did learn a lot from her, the only problem is that she is very tough on the way you do your work, she doesn't care about just the answer but the entire process, therefore getting A's or even B's for that matter on her tests r harder than they should be

Professor Ingram is a good prof. She's a tough grader, but she teaches well and cares for her students. You can email her anytime to ask questions. She gives a LOT of extra credits. The last time I checked my grade, I was having a B- without the extra credits but then I got an A.

In a room where different types of students of all ages learn completely in a different way. Everyone has a slight difference in learning subjects. Her lectures are very brief, one way her way. If you don't follow her exact steps then you would have no other ways to get a good grade.
Avoid her like the plague. She doesnt lecture much and makes you do a lot of group work. If you dont understand something you have to ask your neighbors and if you still dont get it she asks to just copy their answers. Tough grader and is picky about how you show your work. Ingram was an excellent professor for Pre-Alebgra and passed with an A. She is an awful professor for intermediate alebgra. I have a strong foundation in math to take this class and had a D for 8 weeks. Sometimes a good professor would teach review concepts to ensure students understand. What's the point teaching if everything is review? Avoid her.
Please if you want to be successful, dont take her ever. You will just be disappointed in this class. Very unclear explanation, you have to learn from your classmates. If you ask a question she does not answer you in any way. She will tell you to ask your partner, somehow she does not like to be asked questions. VERY hard quiz in such a short time.
She is a nice professor and friendly. She also explains the formulas very clear. It challenges if you have smart classmates because she lets student practice exercises in the class. You need to ask your classmates for help, but she also shows some works at the end of the class. If you are well prepared and try hard, you can pass the class.

If you do take the class, go to class early-because quizzes are given the minute you walk in. Plus, she doesn't give students enough time for quizzes-at most 5 min. to complete.
She's one of the best Math teachers at Pasadena CC, HANDS DOWN! She doesn't deserve all the bad rep she gets. We used an open sourced FREE book four our class. She was funny and very helpful! Shes a good teacher, however her grading is absolutely strict. She will take points off for missing a step when you show your work, or when you solve it in a way she does not like. She is very hard on how she grades, but doesn't help with the homework or follow he book. The homework is from the book, so how are you to learn, when she is teaching . I didn't like her methods. My other Profs or Drs. are more caring and really want to see you succeeded. This was a very stressful experience.
Be prepared to study many hours everyday. She does not give mandatory homework, her class is based on tests. I would say take her class if you're a strong math person because many drop her class.

Hardest class I've taken in my life. It has been quite a few years since I've taken a math course however. But I studied every night for at least a few hours. . I hired 2 tutors so help me in the off time. I learned almost nothing during class, the only things I did learn was on my own time. We did not use the book at all.

Her class is tough but her lectures are great, as long as you pay attention you should be fine. There is no hw assigned but she still encourages you to practice problems on your own time. Do your homework, study hard, pay attention to the smallest of details. Hardest teacher Ive ever had, but I applied myself and learned more than any other class. If your goals are high, this class is a taste of hardships that you will encounter down the line, so take it now. If your goal is to get by, then avoid it.
she's the most difficult teacher I had in my life! she thinks everybody knows how to solve the problem so she does't explain clearly sometimes and she gave quiz each class!!!and your grade is based on the tests and quizzes. she does give homework as extra credit so do it and they are really helpful.
Let me preface this by saying I failed this course. With that said, I would 100% take another course instructed by Dr. Ingram. You have to be willing to dedicate a lot of time to studying outside of the classroom but that's because she really wants her students comprehending the subject. If you work hard you pass, if you don't you wont.
Michelle Ingram is an AMAZING professor. If we go by late 90s/early 2000s standards she's actually quite lenient, the era without cell phones. She's only strict on cell phone and attendance, other than that she's very useful and helpful!

Let me be honest about this teacher. I have taken the 7A class two years ago. Aside from strict seating charts and cell phone rules, she separated me and graded me lower because I was wearing a rainbow pride shirt. She said certain people shouldn't voice their opinion. She was talking about how much she loves trump and her f150 hates blm etc etc
flawed. lacks organization (too lax @start of semester+ended up rushing through final material), particular grader (but tells u exactly what she wants), gives xtra credit (boosts 2%), quizzes every class, good lectures w lots of examples, &always behind on grading (ask her how ur doing b4 drop date if concerned bc she will not grade exam in time)
Worst, most awful professor I've ever had. Very rude personality and will publicly shame you for not answering problems correctly or for not knowing the answer. She expects everyone to master the topic as soon as she stops talking. There's quizzes every single day that have nothing to do with what we learned. Worst experience of my life.
I really enjoyed professor Ingram's class. To me it was an easy A. She explains in detailed the formulas then allows you to work with others to solve the problems. She also goes over the answers and breaks down any questions you may have. Must attend class daily and participate. Quizzes prepare you for the exams. Would definitely take again.
Wow this professor gets a bad wrap! She was awesome! You have to come to class and do your work! She fully explains whats expected. Quizzes are very helpful for the tests. She is kind and approachable when you need help. Some students just suck and want to be in their cells phones. You must work well with others in this class! Just do your best!
WORST CLASS EVER!. Most students failed. Her Powerpoints were frequently wrong. She didn't grade tests until the day before the final. She assigned a test the day before the final, gave us a lesson, then put it in the final. She also caused us to miss four classes and she didn't make up for it or give us practice work. DO NOT TAKE HER!
I am currently taking her class at PCC and she really shows minimal care for the students success. Its pretty crazy you take a quiz every class and there is no hw which is not helpful. She aint organized as she gave us a quiz on a lesson we never knew. Which caused us to skip multiple quizzes. So she skipped the lessons to give us a test.? Very bad
I say she does amazing lectures is because I've never seen a professor who can plan her lesson do Powerpoint slides during class. She's so hilarious too. Her does a very forced high pitch voice during class to make you think the class fun. During tests, Don't SHOW extra work. Oh yeah don't show your face too, she only picks on people she knows.
Most of the class is failing because she does not grade fairly. She doesn't give enough time on her exams and we yes we tell her. She graded a lot of our quizzes after the withdrawal period passed so most of the class dropped and the people who didn't are mostly failing the class like and now we cant drop it Rarely does she ever responds to emails.
By far the worst teacher I have ever had in my 14 years of academics. She has a very condescending attitude and takes joy in the failure of her students. I have received the lowest grade in my academic career in her class while I aced these same math topics in high school. Very backhanded rude overall teacher. Avoid her at all costs.
She doesn't care about your living situation or other needs. Needed headphones to focus but doesn't allow them whatsoever. Isn't consistent on anything, whether it be homework or lectures. You'll go weeks without either. You need to be on call for her 24/7 because she'll give quizzes with less than 12 hours notice but is hardly there for you.
There is no reflection on assignments, homework or tests. Her lectures can go over the class time but she can't give a full 2hrs of class time for a test. The test taking method is also ridiculous and time consuming. Instruction might be there but the support isn't. Way too much homework for it to only be worth 10% of your overall grade.
She talks about her dogs, dr. pepper flavors, and other stuff taking up so much of lecture time about nonsense. The exams are long and heavy, you have very little time for the exam. You need to study so hard till your eyes are red and shut, she says one thing in her lectures but the problems on the exam are totally different. Just don't take her.
I never would of imagined that I would give a bad review about a professor. I don't know my grade yet but all I could say is that she is a tough grader. She gives so much homework and it is only 10% of our grade, you could get A's in the homework portion but if you do poorly in the exam it drops your grade and you won't pass the class.

When you ask a homework question, she never show you how to do it. On quizzes and exams, be prepared to see points taken off. She will always find a way to take off points from you.
In all my years I've taken college level math courses, she is easily the worst professor. I've already taken precalculus in the past but she was still able to make this class a living hell. She finds the smallest reason to take points off quizzes. She took points off because I didn't show work on how I found the radius from a given diameter.
This professor is a joke. Lectures give very little useful information, HW content is overwhelming, and exams aren't even loosely related to the content you are shown. Do not bother taking her; she is a waste of time.
This professor is literally the worst of the worst I have ever met, no matter how hard I tried she can always easily, easily, easily find excuses to take points from my quiz or test, 3 mins late from class, and only 80% on roll call. having quizzes every class, too many questions for only 15 mins. all people in my class are F now.
I've always had good algebra teachers, but she's the first one who makes your life impossible, a friend and I dropped out of the class, there were more who didn't understand her classes very well, but she "explains" the topics according to a presentation made by her, but the worst thing is that she finds anything to lower your credit score

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR!!! Her notes were very unorganized, boring, and long. (up to over 200 slides per lecture). More than half of the students in my class dropped out or failed before the semester was over (including myself).

Do not take her cuz she really hurts ur Gpa and her teaching was not clear. Exam and quiz has a lot of questions but she actually does not give u enough time to do.
Was failing her class so I had to drop. If you struggle in math don't take her. Her way of teaching is the only way. We had a sub for a few times and I understood him better. She teaches super fast so you gotta keep up, daily quizzes on the material learned a day before not enough time to study for quizzes if taking other classes.
DON'T TAKE!! I worked so hard all semester and she barely showed she cared. Pretty much every chance there is to be difficult for students she takes. I got all A's in all of my classes besides hers cause she doesn't care. She has a ton of slides during her lectures and they aren't even all correct some of the time. Worthless for your time.
She is a disorganized instructor. Classes lack structure, leaving students confused. Her inability to teach becomes evident through unclear explanations and disoriented lectures. Assignments lack coherence, making it challenging to grasp course content.

Dr. Ingram is incredibly sweet and kind, these reviews don't give her credit for that. There's a quiz at the beginning of almost every class and she's very tough on grading, however there's also extracredit on every quiz and test. Her lectures are easy to understand and a good grade in this class is possible if you put the time and effort in!
Don't listen to all these people! They're people who don't study and choose to blame everyone but themselves. Dr. Ingram is very sweet and works incredibly hard. She provides you all you need and thensome to do well in her class. If you're confused about anything, she will always gladly explain!
Recently withdrew from the class. DO NOT TAKE if you haven't been in a math class for quite a while. For perspective, after a new lesson is taught, we only have 2 days to learn and understand it before there's a quiz. She's also ridiculously picky and will dock points off for the most innocuous things.
Dr. Ingram's class is challenging, but with effort and using tools like unstuckstudy ai, it's doable. Her lectures are clear, but quizzes require constant preparation. Overall, a tough but rewarding class.
DON'T TAKE HER!!! This professor didn't even show up for the first three days of the semester. Expected us to make up the 3 days that she missed. She assigned a sub, but he showed up 30-40 minutes late each day. Doesn't respect students apart of the DSMP or LARS program. Takes any chance to almost embarrass the kids apart of the program.
This professor teaches well and easy to understand the subject.
This professor doesn't respect any students and we get a lot of homeworks, she skipped 3 days of school and when we skip 1 day of school our attendance grade goes down to 50/100, and she doesn't teach us any maths and give's very bad excuses, gives wrong schedule and tries to act all nice. I recommend to take a different professor other than this.

If I can write a whole paragraph about her w/o a chrcter limit I would. She's has good lectures but moves too fast,sucks bcuz her grading is very tough w/ participation, attndnce, n quizzes so if you skip 1 day or struggle on a test, your grade will drop quick. She skipped 3 lectures beginning of the semester n it was a struggle n messed my grade.
The professor is kind and humorous, with clear but fast reading. She is meticulous about mistakes and gives low grades. Quizzes are only 20 min long, and she explains the day before while assigning many tasks last min. She doesn't explain all steps but clarifies after mistakes. Even with effort, grade won't change. Not ideal for winter semester.
Professor Ingram does her job well but I understand why many struggle with her class. She is definitely a tough grader, but she encourages students to be engaged, she can be kind and funny at times. I'd say, ask lots of questions, especially if you're not so confident in algebra, put in the effort and make sure you understand the material fully.
The 20 minute quizzes are a grade killer. She lectures on the material but doesn't explain why the math is the way it is so it's very difficult to apply those lessons onto problems built off of it.
Missed a ton of classes-not just my experience as the same is said from reviews years ago. She takes points off anywhere she can, grades slow, is disorganized about everything and gaslights the class about her own insecurity. Has no care to teach, wastes class time, does the bare minimum and never clarifies anything. Is rude to students. Run away.
Dr. Ingram is the best math professor I have had at PCC! Her expectations are always super clear and simple. She puts so much effort into really teaching her students and giving them many opportunities to learn the concepts in class, and gives extra credit when she sees the effort you put in. You definitely need to stay on top of your work though!

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!! She makes you paid a really expensive website to do the homework, and it is only 10% of your grade. She doesn't explain anything, she just read the slides really fast that is difficult to take notes and she doesn't post them. You have to be ready to do a quiz every other day.
I have had drill instructors shout clearer instructions than this professor. Her lessons do not stick at all. She relies too much on her slides, tutoring center and the online homework for you to learn. that's where my tuition money should have gone, she shouldn't have received a dime because she didn't teach me anything. She'll also gaslight you.
Will mark you off points even if you have the right answer. Makes you buy expensive textbook for homework only to say that the problems on the homework aren't that helpful.
The worst professor you could probably get in California. Doesn't care about her students. Always say "it's on the syllabus" every time you ask her about something. Super tough grader. And you have to buy the textbook to do the homework(which is 70$). I wasn't aware of all these things before taking the class, so please don't be like me.
Lectures and homework have little connection to exams, presents basic knowledge and then quizzes you on advanced work with no practice at all. Really strict on grading, being on time, and no curve, no exam drop. Quizzes weekly. Not allowed to take pictures of her slides and she doesn't post them. Ask her a question and your answer is “syllabus”.
