This class was great it was most definately a class that should be a required course a lot of barriers were broken and a lot about cultures not only outside of the united states but also within it were learned. I didn't think that class was going to to be all that enjoyable, but Michelle made it both educational and interesting.

The Interpersonal Communications course is a worthwhile one. The class allows one to explore them self and the reasoning behind the conscience mind. The concepts one will read about and discuss in class are a wonderful refresher. Michelle Jackson's speaking skills are wondrous, she is a chameleon. She adapts to her environment(students) fluently.

SHES AWESOME! By far one of the best instructors I've had, she made me become even more interested in my major in Communications. Makes you want to show up to class every day. TAKE HER!

Amazing teacher! She is very to the point and makes the class enjoyable to be in. I've never felt so comfortable in a class before. She uses great examples when lecturing and has funny stories that go along with the lectures. Take her, you won't regret it!

Michelle Jackson is one of the best teachers I have ever had! Her examples and instructions are clear and she tries to make even the most timid student comfortable giving speeches. She does mark off for missing other students's speeches but is also willing to help outside class with ideas or practice for your own speeches. I HIGHLY recommend her.

Mrs. Jackson is probably by far one of the best professors i've had so far while attending GCC. She makes coming to class fun and most of her lectures are really entertaining to watch her do all these acts to imitate what she is talking about. Really easy to learn in this class, not much homework. Take her!!

Michelle makes class feel like you are hanging out with your best friends. She is funny and very animated. ATTENDANCE IS CRUCIAL; you lose 5 pts. for each class you miss, but you won't want to miss any. Tests are from notes only. A few essays and couple tests, the rest is attendance. She gives personal feedback and is very sweet. LOVED this class!

Michelle is such an amazing teacher! She is more laid back than other teachers. She is willing to help outside of class, and she gives great feedback after your speech.

Mrs. Jackson is a good teacher and a fun person. Public Speaking is a great class to take as it helps us nervous people break down walls. Mrs. Jackson grades you on improvement, not on how fantastic you are or are not on week one. Great class, very social and fun.

Michelle Jackson is a super hyper, super fun teacher. She tries really hard to make you enjoy the class. However, if you really slack, you will end up failing. Write your speeches before class, don't plagiarize,and communicate with her, and you will be fine. However, if you are looking for a more structured speaking class, look elsewhere.

Hated public speaking but the class was great. Ms. Jackson gives lots of tips on how to give speeches. 10 question weekly quizzes and writing speeches is all you need to do outside of class. I always got a good grade on my speeches even when i felt i did horrible so she understands we are not professional speakers. Fair grader and great class.

overall it was an easy class. she was nice and very helpful but i did not get what i wanted to out of the class. i would recommend taking her though. the class was really easy

Professor Jackson makes the class enjoyable. I always looked forward to coming to her class. Only 10 weekly quizzes outside of class, 1 each week. Gives you a rubric to follow, hit all the points even if your topic was not so good and you can still get a 100

By far the best teacher I have ever had. She understands that college is hard and is alittle more relaxed then most teachers. She wants for us to understand so she speacks in ways we can understand. Easygoing and down to earth

Mrs. Jackson loves her job. She's very into it and enjoys coming to class everyday with something new and fun to say and learn. You will have to read the textbook and take online quizzes and present often, the only slight downside.

I always feared giving presentations. However, Ms. Jackson really helped me fix that. She really inspires you to do good. There are weekly quizzes, very easy, and 5 speeches. This honestly wasn't a class, it felt like chance to fix my weakness through the speeches we had to present. I loved her teaching and feedback. Definitely recommend her.

Great professor. She didn't have a mold she expected each person to fit. Knows everyone is unique; tapped into each individual's personality to pinpoint strength and weaknesses. As an introvert, I couldn't have asked for a better public speaking teacher! Extremely supportive & kind; get genuinely excited to see our progress & confidence grow.

Mrs. Jackson is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Everyone expects to hate public speaking but it turned out to be my favorite class out of the semester. She can bring the quietest person out of their shell, and she can make anybody confident in speaking. She teaches in such a funny and relatable way! TAKE HER CLASS, I promise she's the best!

Mrs Jackson was by far my favorite teacher I have ever had through my almost 15 years of schooling! She is funny, caring, and very inspirational. I loved her and I would highly recommend to take any of her classes! She will make you discover who you really are and she will inspire you to be real about whatever you encounter in your crazy life!

Professor Jackson is a phenomenal professor. I would recommend her to anyone. The class is fairly straight forward and you will look forward to attending everyday. The work is fairy simple and you will only use the text book once(so instead of buying it borrow it from a friend/ check it out at the library). Be prepared to write papers-easy papers

Mrs. Jackson is what a teacher should be all about. She is so passionate for teaching and makes learning very enjoyable. As long as you do what is necessary to get by, you will get an A. Exams are very easy, and the amazing lectures that are given just speak to you on such an emotional level every now and then.

For an A in this class, do your quizzes, every week (online) and follow her feedback to improve for next speech. She gives great feedback and if you're shy, don't be afraid, she'll work with you and you'll become better speaker! Mrs Jackson is one in a million.

Amazing! Prof. Jackson is fantastic and makes public speaking enjoyable. You are not judged on your speaking merits as compared to "better" speakers. You need to make personal improvements for each speech. I loved attending each class session as she is funny and teaches in an unconventional way (that works). Do not skip doing your weekly quizzes!

Mrs. Jackson is the best professor at GCC hands down! Shes super caring, very passionate about communications, and makes the class alot less nerve racking! Make sure you make personal improvements on each speech to get higher grades each time! Also keep up on the weekly quizzes but they are super easy! If I could have her for every class I would!

This was one of the best classes I've ever had. She is fantastic and I would take one of her classes even if it wasn't required.

Functioning more like a sociology class than public speaking, Mrs. J manages to make class fun, engaging and incredibly rewarding. It's a relaxed and positive atmosphere where you'll not only improve as a public speaker, but probably make friends too. The only real way to not pass the class is to give up on it yourself.

Mrs. Jackson's course was very easy if you do the homework. I am pretty sure that she just uses someone else's quizzes or something because several times throughout the semester, I would get an answer wrong on the quiz but it was really right. She adjusts the points but she just seems ditzy about it.

For someone who hates public speaking, Mrs. Jackson makes this class bearable. Her personality and class structure made the class fun. Grades you on your own personal improvements from each speech. Follow her rubric for each speech and keep up with your quizzes and the A is yours. If you need to take public speaking take it with Mrs. Jackson.

Prof. Jackson makes public speaking bearable! Her classes seem like a large family so you are encouraged to speak. She has five speeches but gives amazing feedback for you to improve on each time. The grading is straightforward and she is available to help you outside class. Just keep up with the quizzes and speech outlines and you'll get an A!

I couldn't have been blessed with a better professor. I was extremely scared concerning public speaking but with her guidance and encouragement I was able to overcome my fear, gain confidence, & excell in the class. She is always available during and after class. Participate and complete quizzes & you'll pass with out an issue. Great person!

Took this class online, and I loved this professor! By far, my favorite teacher at GCC. Assignments were easy and clear to underatand. Didnt read the textbook, only used it for the online quizzes. The class consists on 2 DQs and one quiz a week that are due on Sunday, one individual speech, and a group speech which is your final. Easiest A!

BEST PROFESSOR OF ALL TIME

Ms. Jackson Is a great Professor and the best Com teacher of all time, all you have to do is take the weekly quizzes, do well on the speeches and you'll get an A.

Mrs. Jackson's class will change your life. She is easy to talk to and exceptionally willing to help you and will make you feel at home. Some classes were a little like group therapy, and she gives you tools to lead a happier, more mindful life. I was nervous about taking this class, but it has had a huge impact on my life, and I'm glad I took it.

Everything she said during this class was something to take to heart. She's a wonderful teacher and this was my favorite class, the best I think I've ever taken. It's incredibly personal though so if you're not open to sharing some secrets then it might not be for you. Class was understanding as a whole though and felt like a safe place

Ms. Jackson is THE BEST PROFESSOR AT GCC. I had a fear of taking this class but she really makes it easier and by the end you will become a better speaker. Her class is like one big family. I absolutely loved it. If you need com225 TAKE IT WITH MS JACKSON. you wont regrett it. Shes seriously one of the best teachers I've EVER had.

Read the book and discuss, that's half of the class. (I used an older edition and one chapter was different, so be careful) Participation is the most important thing to pass, so don't forget to reply! I really enjoyed the assignments throughout the class because they were all unique and different. Learned a lot about communication. Grades are fair.

Mrs. Jackson is one of the best GCC has to offer. She is incredibly real, makes class and lecture easy to relate to life. She makes you question a lot of things and most of all CARES about all you have to say and think. She usually replies quickly through canvas and always leaves feedback. If you show effort on your assignment youll always get 100%

She is one of the best instructors I've had! I highly recommend taking her class!! Her class is interesting and very educational, I learned so much about communication. She cares about students and always gives great feedback. We had small group conversations and then shared with the class, so we got pretty close with each other.

Prof. Jackson is the best! She was very encouraging and helpful. Whenever I had a question for clarification on an assignment she would never make me feel stupid for asking (unlike some professors at GCC). Definitely recommend!

I highly recommend taking Ms. Jackson's class. This class was live online but half online. Instructions are clear , with about 3 assignments due a week. Group discussions were fun, quizzes on each Chapter but its open book. I learned a lot in class and I hope to take her other classes in the future. An A grade is there if you want it.

Prof. Jackson is a great online instructor! I took the half-semester course, so naturally it was fast paced, but she made the semester organized and manageable. I am terrified of public speaking, but she made this a great and enjoyable experience! Lots of discussion boards and textbook reading. I truly improved a lot in my speaking abilities!

Prof Jackson was amazing! I was worried about taking a summer online public speaking course, but she formatted the class greatly. Gives AMAZING feedback as well. If theres something she wants you to improve on she is very kind and respectful when saying it. Information in class was very interesting and no video lectures, which is a plus for me.

Prof Jackson is a phenomenal professor. Shes very encouraging gives great honest feedback and answers any questions promptly. Shes very understanding as long as you communicate with her. She made class very enjoyable.

I took public speaking and really enjoyed Professor Jackson. She's actually really funny and personable. She's understanding as well. I took an 8 week course with her and although it goes really fast, I want to warn other students that a week isn't a lot of time to prepare, rehearse, and record a speech.

I would recommend taking Professor Jackson to any student taking this class. She made the class fun and is not judgemental like another professor I attempted the class with. Seriously this class was a drag when I took it before and I dropped it. Im glad I had the positive experience with Mrs. Jackson.

Professor Jackson is the perfect person to teach a communications class. She's smart, understanding, and actually funny. She really makes it easy to feel comfortable in her class. I like that she sets clear grading criteria and gives meaningful feedback. She's easy to get a hold of and very understanding of any and all situations.

About 1 paper a week. Lots of discussion with classmates, some of the com exercises we do get crazy, which is fun. A very personal and deep class. Jackson is probably the best teacher at GCC, she is SUPER relaxed and kind but very down-to-earth. She always celebrates people's birthdays (no matter what time of year) and even brought in donuts!

My favorite class EVER. You are required to give 5 speeches throughout the year, and everyone gives you a sticky note of what they liked about it. I made so many friends in this class, and even though we listened to the lectures, they were interesting and it felt more like a party then a class. The group project was fun as well. Jackson is 10/10!!

She is an AMAZING professor. The quizzes were very easy and mostly common sense. The videos were extremely easy and the rubric explained it 100% clearly. She is a very easy grader, and provides such nice and useful feedback. She was very understanding of my busy schedule, and did extend due dates a few times.

Loved her class so much. She shows that even the most withdrawn students are capable of public speaking by establishing a very comfortable class environment. You always know what is expected of you and is incredibly approachable. I am definitely a better public speaker now and I would take her class a million more times if I could!

Online course with a Professor who wants to inspire you to be your best self. Recorded speeches online, quiz from book, discussions, and outlines for speech are graded. I picked this up as a 5wk course and I'm so glad I did. Professor Jackson is available to help guide you and cheer you on. I highly recommend

Mrs. Jackson is amazing! Her lectures were so fun and effective because she had us do exercises that apply what was covered in the lectures. She also broke down the 4 speeches into easy, clear guidelines that were very approachable. She is very caring and created a wonderful environment to become a more confident speaker.

Professor Jackson is wonderful! 4 speeches; 1 duo, 2 solo, 1 group, and 8 online textbook quizzes. In class exercises are always humorous and helpful. For each speech you write on sticky notes only the good things other folk did during their speech. By the end the class was quite tight knit. I 110% recommend Jackson, you won't regret choosing her!

I cannot say enough good things about professor jackson, she by far has been my favorite teacher would take any class she taught in a heartbeat. I absolutely adore her teaching style. I wish my other professors would learn from her. She lays everything out straight forward for you to succeed. If you follow that it's an A. Best teacher ever!

No final, but there is a textbook that costs 40$. Don't let that drive you away. It was the BEST textbook ever omg. It was an easy read and it defines terms omg just get the online version it's amazing. Not a tough grader. A speech every other week, quiz once a week, and 2 discussions a week for the 8 week class. Somehow helped me write better too.

I took this class online. It was easy to navigate the modules. I found professor Jackson's assignments interesting, fun and engaging. I do recommend to rent text book, it is easy to access.

Michelle Jackson helped to make a communication class a lot easier. I had only two speeches to do. One was by myself 4-5min long. The last was the final which was a group project PowerPoint presentation. Overall. It was a good semester in this class. When I would contact her, she would get back a couple hours to 24 hours later. She was really nice!
