Johnson is a solid teacher. Her lesson plans and material are very methodical and well laid out. She helps out the students a lot (gave me a free stats 110 book!) in any way she can. She sometimes gave me heart attacks from some of the tests and quizes, but she is very fair on grading. She is one of the "good" teachers at Sac. Highly recommend.

Excellent teacher, she does speak really fast though. She is alwasys willing to help you and encourages you to ask questions if you don't understand. I took stats at a 4 year uni and got lost quickly. Michelle Johnson has to be one of the best teachers/professors I've ever come across. Organized, friendly, explains things clearly, lots of partial credit on exams, very helpful reviews before tests. Take notes, do all the assignments and comp labs (easy HW points)...that'll lead to an easy A!!!

This professor is awsome. She writes what she wants to concentrate on for the class on the board and explains the problems. She gives out review sheets and tests to them. Any time someone had a problem she was more then willing to help answer the question for them. As far as her grading goes she was very fair when she graded exams.

I took this teacher during winter session so it was very hard keeping up and homework was crazy but she is a great teacher and helps you out if you need it. She is so nice and makes you feel comfortable asking her questions. I liked her one of the best teachers I have had here at Mt. Sac highly recommended!!!!!

She is great! Extremely helpful and very fair and even generous in her grading. To pass the class, just show up pay attention. Her homework isn't weighed heavily at all but it will certainly help come test time- as well as her numerous handouts! She is fast-paced but that may be because it was an 8wk class. She'll try and answer all questions.

This teacher is amazing!!! She knows how to teach and takes the time to answer all questions. She gives out lots of chapter worksheets and goes over HW, quizzes, and tests. Study off the worksheets, HW, and past quizzes and you'll do good on the tests. Take her cause she's also funny.

I hate math but i found her class very cool. Very helpful and cool person. she drops one of your worst tests and...hw i think. you can turn in HW even if its late. i highly recommand her. No tricky tests. very straight forward. Shes the type of teacher that tries very hard to help you pass the class.

She is the best math teacher ever that actually teaches and not from the book either! you dont have to bring ur book to class and the test are very similar to the handouts that she hands out during class. if you dont understand something she takes the time to explain it to you and helps you pass her class.

GREAT TEACHER helpful. She is an easy teacher to understand, and follow! The Work is MATH so the HW itself is somewhat hard if you do it right- AKA you get out of it what you put into it. Work hard and it is GREAT!

Johnson is the est math teacher i've ever had. Her study guides are very useful and she teaches well. She is happy all the time..keeps you awake in the morning.

Michelle is the best teacher. She's super funny, friendly, nice, and helpful. If you're stuck, she helps you right there on the spot, no hesitation. Just do the homework, pay attention, and you'll get an A. She goes over test/quiz questions before the exam, which helps a bunch. Take her, and you won't regret it.

An O.K Professor. She is super fast and does not give out study guides. Homework is key, yet only 5% of your grade. Tests and final are the rest of grade. I've gotten A's in all my previous Math courses but finished with a "C" in this one. Overall rating=7/10

She is very clear and will explain problems over and over, until you understand it. Her master's is in statistics. She breaks things down in "real life" terms. Please, take her!

Math in the fastlane! She gives a lot of examples in a lot of detail. "Sorry, there's a lot to cover." She really knows what she's teaching, or she couldn't go so fast. Still it's mostly good, she cares if you're learning. If you REALLY expect to have problems with Intermediate Algebra, think carefully about taking her. But she's a good teacher.

Awesome teacher! I would advice to actually try and do the homework and get a TI-8384 calculator because it saves you the work big time!!!! Go to her office hours if you need any help, especially before tests because it helps so much! STUDY STUDY STUDY! She gives study guides which is helpful! Show up to class or you'll miss a lot!

She is very energetic and keeps your attention. Also will go into detail when you ask a question and really wants to make sure you get what she's teaching. Usually when many people didn't show up and we had a quiz, she would make it extra credit instead of grading it as a quiz. Also you can turn in homework waaayyy after its due for partial credit.

The class has a lot of work, but it is all worth it. She gets a lot of extra credit and gives partial credit on the test. I had the 8 am class and her class was never boring. She was a great teacher, and I plan on taking her for college algebra. Only used the book for homework and didn't need it for the class. Rent one or use one in the library

Super awesome class! Prof. Johnson is really concise, clear, &helpful with her lecture. She's hilarious and really cares about her student to do well. Before continuing to a new topic, she makes sure everyone is ok with the material. Her tests do require you to study and know the material. She has moderate amount of homework & you do need statlab.

Michelle is a very good teacher, but I had some issues with her. She is a fair grader and there is a lot of homework, but no more than the usual. She sometimes will not call on your hand because she feels like she will answer your question in the future. Kind of annoying and rude not calling on someone. Overall good teacher.

I think she was a really nice lady, but Math is not my strongest subject. I was loaded w/ units this sem, plus other factors that affected my grade. I still haven't found the right Math prof yet. She talked so much & she went by so fast w/ lectures. It's not her fault, she's just not the math prof for this struggling student.

This was the 2nd time taking her because she was also my professor in Math 71. She is a great professor. I took her at 8:30 and do not regret it. Her test are fairly easy. She offers extra credit that is a test group, so basically you can do it as a class if you won't. Take her, you won't regret it!

Extremely difficult class & I struggled the entire semester; however, I worked really hard and with many office visits I managed to exceed my own expectations. Memorize the formulas and you'll do good. So much I could say about professor J. but I'll leave you with this: I am lucky to of crossed her path, she is simply an amazing person!

Best math Professor I've ever had in all my years of math from high school to now. I was never the brightest at math but she made me rethink my own insecurities and now I can confidently do a lot of math! She does everything to help you get an A. There is a lot of homework but I believe it is worth it just to sit in her class 2x a week.

I just took her for math 130 (college algebra) and is a really easy class to pass. Your grade is mostly based on test, but as long as you attend class, do hw, ask Q's, attend office hrs, & do practice exam problems that she assigns (are optional) you are fine! She does offer extra credit. Use your time wisely because she does offer alot of hw.

Mrs. Johnson is the best math teacher in the world! I failed math 50 three times and I lost all hope until I jumped to math 51 and I passed with flying colors because Mrs. Johnson truly cares about her students and she makes sure that we understand. I hated math but I loved her class I will take her again.

2 exams, 2 big quizzes & a cumulative final which replaces your lowest test score when hw > 70%. Theres only 6 hw assignments but they can take a while. She gives an extra credit assignment after the drop date. No pop quizzes! A lot of students had taken her for other math classes. Sweet lady & I would take her again

Professor Johnson is an amazing professor!! I took her the short six week semester in the winter and can honestly say she's great! Some people learn quickly and others don't and she takes her time teaching everyone equally! She doesn't rush through lectures!

Math 11 class is supposed to help students with learning challenges in statistics. We get help from the professor, college tutors, and classmates. All was good until the college shutdown. Math 11 became a drudge. If we didn't get statistics before the shutdown, the absence of face-to-face meetups made it crazy. Some students need more support.

She is great. Has a great personality and makes sure you understand everything. Lots of homework but it helps you study for the exams. Dont cheat on hw! It will help you later on!! And go to office hours for one on one.

Took her fall 2020 on Zoom. She was nothing but sweet and her lectures were always engaging and interesting! There was a bit of homework but it is a math class - it really helped in preparing for the exams. She is nothing but fair. There was never a topic on an exam that she did not prepare us for. If you struggle with or fear math, take her!
