I unfortunately do not have Michelle Klein for Bio 205. I have attended several open labs that she was in charge of and I love her teaching style. She has helped me tremendously and has filled in the gaps where my prof. failed. She is extremely friendly and her enthusiasm for the subject is contagious. Her current students RAVE about her.
I had Prof. Klein for lab and she really knows her stuff! You will definitely learn a lot and it PAYS to go to lab! (Hint hint)
Had her as a lab Prof. Quality teacher! Charismatic & down to earth. Her enthusiasm especially got me more interested in bio & to want to study outside of lab. Based on my experience, I'd take her lec & recommend her to other students. Out of 10, I'd rate her as 14. Makes class fun and you learn! Great attitude, always smiling! Cracks jokes too.
I originally had her for BIO205 & made sure that I got her for 206. She's extremely willing to help w/whatever questions you have, responds to emails,& gives excellent examples too. She makes class fun!! She'll tell you: "Listen to Mommy" & you'd better. Also ATTEND LAB! Wish she taught Physics :-(
She is enthusiastic and friendly but does not help you to prepare for the tests. She is too strict when spelling scientific terms and do not even give you half credit if a single letter is wrong. She did not give enough extra credit points. To her favor, she is always punctual and expects you to know everything when taking a test.
She is very nice but alot of people get her niceness confused with the way she teaches. She admits to making the tests harder than they should be. This class was ridiculous and I would not take her again. You need to start studying day 1.
A lot of students wanted her to be their professor (including me, I wished she could be my prof for Microbiology). She makes the classroom atmosphere lively because of her cheerful personality and connects well with the students. You cannot blame her if you get a low grade because the subject itself is truly hard.
I don't think it's a coincidence that the majority of her students (from what I've seen) received poor grades. She makes the tests WAY too hard. I understand most people take this class for a medical degree, but her tests are ridiculous. TAKE/STUDY THE PRACTICE EXAMS!!! Those are probably you're only chance at passing! Awesome personality though.
This subject is NOT at all easy. You need to put in the hours to get a good grade. She is an excellent teacher you just have to work hard and study. Nothing is given to you for free!
She was an excellent teacher who makes a hard subject a little easier. If you put in the time OUTSIDE of class (TAKE THE PRACTICE TEST!!) and consult with her anytime you're unsure.. you'll do fine.. TAKE HER CLASS!!
She is a great Professor. She always answer any questions you have. Answers quickly on emails. Don't give much extra credit but it is offered, so take advantage. Go to every lab, open labs that she host and attend lectures. If you can answer every objective for the course you will pass. Must put in at least 12 hours of study a week outside of class.
Her text is hard, she make you feel like she's fail u instead of test ur knowledge
She's a wonderful person and an excellent teacher. Her tests, however, are very challenging and require quite a bit of prep. and study time. She's always willing to explain anything you may question and she does it until she knows you have it. Great teacher!
Beautiful person inside and out, but she does not help you prepare for her brutal exams. It's up to the student to read and comprehend every detail of the text. If you're having trouble, talk to her. She will go out of her way to help you out. I would not recommend her.
Great personality, very nice and helpful BUT whats the point if of teaching if you trick your students on what is suppose to be about what you thought in class. My point is, you will fail unless her class is the only one yo are taking that semester and you have time to keep up with her dodgy questions. DON'T TAKE HER CLASS
One of the few best professors. she is extremely helpful. You can ask any question and its ok. she works with you. her test may be a lil tough but nothing you couldn't get by. GL!
Great professor! She is extremely helpful and always willing. The course is hard so you have to put time into it but she makes it easy to understand. Her tests are okay as long as you know the material and read the questions well. Will have pop quizzes (hint: practice test and jeopardy) and papers to write. Lab will follow lecture to an extent. Everything she puts for review do them and definitely take notes. The "course" is not for slackers but if you really want to learn I recommend her.
Love this teacher! Very helpful she knows her stuff inside and out. You will use the book, online lecture recordings and powerpoint slides. Some of it is easy and some of it not so much...use flashcards!
She doesn't tell you about the objectives or prepare you for her exams. Her recitation is useless. Her PBLs are impossible. Hint: use Wiki and quote the references.
Some questions have language problems; Biology is a subject of facts, not logic. A little more of an artist. I worked extra-hard and do not how I got facts wrong. A class of 26 drops to 12 by the semester end. I have more education in major universities than College; have not found an instructor like this one. No recommendation.
Multiple choice lecture exams. I took her for A&P I and did not regret taking her for A&P II and got "A" for both. I recommend her all the way! For labs you can record her with your smart phone and use it as a study guide (she will even come to your station to point things out). Pop quizzes and two major research projects that fairly manageable. She is a spectacular person. Best professor I ever had!
She is the BEST she knows her stuff and knows how to tecach! She is always approachable and kind. Take her for A and P!!!!
The morning greeting smile was such a welcoming experience. Professor Klein made me want to learn the material, through her life stories and her ability to relate to the students. The best professor I have had yet!!
Awful!! Received an A in bio2050 and can't seem to understand anything in her class. Makes sorry excuses for powerpoints. Does not know anything can't answer questions on the spot but is very strict. Uses the word "stuff" from lack of knowledge. Puts practice test online doesnt provide answers or score. Things on exam has never been mentioned.
Never again..please take this warning seriously. Some people are to easily distracted by her bubbly personality to be honest. She is not helpful she purposely makes it as hard as possible. She will halfway explain something, but on the test expect you to work magic. Very strict. Acts as if she doesn't want the students to know as much as she does.
This instructor provides you with all the tools and information to pass the class! One word"AWESOME".
I had an Osteoblast with Professor Klein in A&P. She even took time out of her day to help me with my micro class. Super clear, helpful, and articulate. Made it exciting. I hate that I'm done with A&P, because I'm gonna miss her. Not easy, but if you put the work in you will get good results. <3
This is one of the best instructors you will EVER get. It is no joke when she says you have to put in the work. Anyone that says she does not help you, never asked for help. She has a reputation for being difficult in order to make you the best health care provider possible. I'm sorry I'm done with Anatomy. She is delightful!
I have had Professor Klein for both BIO2050 and BIO2060. She is an excellent professor. She is very helpful and covers everything you need to know for both lecture and lab exams. However, make no mistake in thinking this class is easy. You do have to put in the work and study everyday to do well on exams as you should in any class.
Professor Klein is absolutely amazing! There are only three ways you can fail her class: YOU don't ask for help, YOU cheat, or YOU don't study. Professor Klein has a beautiful personality and will go out of her way to help her students, all you have to do is ask. You will not regret taking her class! I can't wait to take her for 2060!
Do Not Take Her!!!! She is horrible, her tests are ridiculous and she tried to cram so much info in a summer session. She gives extra credit but not enough to move your grade. Has online homework that takes hours to do. Don't be fooled by her great personality. If you want to be frustrated and overwhelmed take her.
She is the best. Very organised, very intelligent. She makes everything clear. She wants students to learn and understand. She has zero tolerance for cheating and I love that.she will assist you with any help with regards to the course.I missed her second summer because she didn't have morning lab.SHE IS THE BEST!
Please do not take her if you don't want to be stressed or overwhelmed. Her tests are horrible and she does give points but not enough to move your average. She grades very hard for misspelled words and all. Don't let her personality fool you because she will fail you. Take another Professor. Please I advise you.
She's a good instructor, she knows her stuff. She gave too much work for a summer session. No, she did not tell us to sign up for a summer class, but she takes points off for spelling..? Like give us a break lady! She rambles a lot abt her personal life and tries to tie it into the lesson. I would not take her again.. good luck to you that do.
I took her for summer, I will not take her again, she makes things harder than it already is. Her extra credit points doesn't move your grade up. Everything have to be spelled correctly in order for it to be right. She doesn't really teach during lecture, she only discuss about her life. If you take her class you'll just FAIL!!!!!! DON'T TAKE HER!
She is not good at all. Her tests are harder than what she teaches. She talks about her personal life too much. She takes off points for misspelled words. You should take someone else because she will make your Life miserable.
Professor Klein is cool. She talks a little too fast in lecture, but if you read you'll be fine. Dont cheat don't even try, she'll catch you. She is really dedicated and loves teaching! Her tests are repeats of questions and statements she said in class. They are easy, if you are an avid studier and you go to class! If you dont study, you wont pass
Prof. Klein is an awesome lecturer and has great personality , her lectures are very interactive, enjoyable and she always say something to get us cracking. She responds to emails quickly, always available and will go out of her way to assist students. One can only fail if you are lazy, or cheat. Sign up for class, you won't regret.
An amazing professor! She's really easy to talk to and her lectures can be quick but she always has a great story to tell. Her tests aren't hard; you just have to study her notes, and practice exams. Would DEFINITElY take her class again!
Had her this spring 2015 semester and she is one of the best professors I've ever had! She always gives tips on how to study because she's been there too and isn't here to put any unneeded stress in your life. She's always there for you and you can always visit her office hours or email her for any question you have.
She is really good teacher. She makes sure you understand the material. She is also caring but if you ever cheat or help someone cheat she will not be of best interest. She assigns extra credit but not much. She provides a study guide and practice exams that will really help you prepare for the test.
Assigns homework but it's easy&helpful. Gives quizzes but they're open book. Only had her for lecture but the tests were so/so. Posts online lectures, typed lecture notes, study guides, powepoints, and practice tests to help you study. Lectures were boring so I needed all of that to stay on track. Replies to emails quickly and is very polite.
Professor Klein is one of the best biology professors, she is head of the department! While she talks a little about her life, she still gets the material covered. She will help if you ask!! Utilize office hours. The only downside for me was the PBL papers, but they are easy points if you do them. I got a C in the clas from being lazy. She's awesom
Professor Klein is by far the best professor I've ever had at Prince George's Community College. Do take her study tips into account! It's imperative that you study daily for lecture. Lab isn't too bad I've been able to pull an A on a Lab Exam but make note of the questions on the Practice Lab Practical they repeat! PBLs are easy but time-consuming
She is a good professor, it's just a very tough class with so much material. You have to study often and read the textbook. Pay attention to what she says in class before the exams, and possibly join a study group. This is a really tough class to get an A in but she does offer extra credit through campus events
If you need help, she is willing to help and respond all of your course needs! No need to expect to get easy A.
She breezed through the lessons that by the time I understood, she was already 5 lessons ahead. Test were hard, HW was unnecessary and she was the only one to assign a PBL . Her personality is amazing, but i hardly learned anything b/c she spent so much time telling me her life story, then she gives a hard test like she actually taught something.
Klein was very helpful and will always reply back to emails and give you assistance where it was needed
makes class lectures very interesting, but she makes the class way more difficult than the sophomore level that it is. If not careful you'll flunk her class
she's amazing! teaches things clearly with a funny story to relate to the topic. tests are very hard but if you take her advice you will be fine.
SheIsWONDERFUL! If you don't understand something she will clarify it for you. If you're struggling do NOT be afraid to ask questions, email her or voice your concerns. Shes a fair professor and VERY understanding. She DEFINITELY makes you work for your grade. Lec Examher learning obj. You'll be fine. Repetition is key!
Anatomy will be a big step up in difficulty for most, it was very hard, but Prof. Klein helped me through. Very test heavy; take notes in EVERY lab and lecture, ask questions, and most of all - STUDY. Klein is helpful, caring, and pretty funny when it comes to lectures! If you need help, make use of all of your sources. Help is there if you ask!
Klein was a great professor. Lecture was not boring and neither the lab. She does give a little extra work to test your understanding about the course. Other student may not have liked it but I have come to realize that it was great in knowing your understanding of the materials. It was not difficult at all.
AMAZING! She's very funny so class is never boring. Sooooo many resources on blackboard, honestly there's no way you can fail. Goes over everything needed for tests. I am definitely taking her for A&P 2.
Great Teacher! Her class is never boring, she always has interesting stories and facts while teaching her lessons. She provides you with so many resources in blackboard to help you study and pass the tests and quizzes. She is also very easy to talk to. Definitely taking her for BIO 2060.
Make time to talk with teacher wither it be before, in, or after class makes a huge difference. In making sure you are on track with assignments and general direction with this course, as she gives good feedback your progress.
Helped me get through another challenging year of A&P! Study, Study, Study- do whatever helps you to stay on top of the material to prepare for tests which HEAVILY impact your grade. Klein's always available through email & office hours and can help you prepare for your next test. Lectures are never boring! Awesome professor, crazy-difficult course
Professor Klein honestly talks too fast and does not seem like she really wanted the class to learn. She rushes through the whole lab practical so that does not help much. I honestly did not learn anything . Also she jumps out of the subject at times talking about her stories.
Professor klein is definitely not patient when comes to lab because she rushes through the practicals.
worst professor did not learn anything and because of the weather she skipped a lesson expecting the class to figure it out without giving any resources definitely not the best Anatomy professor.
I Love Love Love Professor Klein, She is an absolute star at PGCC. I took her class TWICE for a&P 1 and 2 because I liked her so much. Her lectures are easy to follow and she gives you everything you need to be prepared for the exams. Most questions from the quizzes are on exams and the practicals are CAKE. However, anatomy its easy. STUDY!!
A&P is a tough class so make sure to study for this class and be prepared. She was kind enough to let me record her lectures and that really helped while studying. Also, for the lab practicals make sure you go over questions in the lab book because those can show up on the practical. PBLs were interesting and relatively easy. She's AMAZING!
Professor Klein is very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject she teaches. Although her lectures tend to be fast-paced and content heavy, she is willing to work with students to ensure they understand the material and succeed in her class. She cares about her students' success, and her sense of humor makes lectures more enjoyable.
One of my best professors yet. Professor Klein is hilarious and makes grading clear and practical. She does give a hefty amount of work, but it's only to make sure that you understand the material. I use a lot of what I learned in class outside of the classroom. Would definitely take it again.
Professor Klein is an amazing professor, and any student who's willing to study will get a good grade in this class. Although her class isn't effortless, Klein is caring, compassionate, and helps you remember things that you'll need in the future. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to truly study and learn anatomy.
Ok. I took her for both A&P 1 and 2. She definitely is not the best teacher out there. She can be passive aggressive at times and has awkwardly stale humor. The last part of my class was online because of the pandemic and overall, top priority is getting through the curriculum and not the students.
Professor Klein is funny which makes her lecture somewhat entertaining. Sometimes she rushes through the lab lectures so that she can finish on time which makes it very hard to understand the topic at times. She is one of the professor's that gives alot of opportunities to receive extra credit which is helpful.
Im taking summer AP online due to the pandemic. I picked this Professor b/c of her high rating. This is the worst class & Professor. The timing exceptions of quiz & exam are beyond ridiculous. She give you 20 questions with 20min not to mention each question has 3 additional questions where spelling counts & u cant back track Its 1 chance only
Prof. Klein made BIO 2050 absolutely difficult and its already a hard course. Before the pandemic she was alright but is heavy on her lectures. When the class switched to online she made tests/quizzes impossible to get done in a timely manner. She will answer any question you have but her lecture exams are far from easy.
I'm taking her currently for A&P 2 during the pandemic and it's horrible. She gives unreasonable expectations on the quizzes, lecture exams, and lab practicals. She only gives you little time. Just no don't take her. Just no,
Do NOT take her. She has ridiculous time expectations for exams and quizzes. She also only allows you to see one question at a time for her online exams. This is not good for students who like to think about questions and skip them for later. Her lecture videos are bad and don't teach the topics well at all. Take someone else seriously.
Really hard!!! Our first exam she gave us 38 min for 50 questions. She assigned PBLs and expected for everyone to know diagnoses of case studies she assigned. The class started out with at least 20 people and ended with 4.
She thinks she is teaching medical students. With her ridiculous case studies to find diagnosis...
Professor Klein has a bubbly personality and her lectures were enjoyable. I think it's because of the online migration that caused the exam timings to be a bit extreme. PBLS aren't hard at all, just read + research, you'll be ok. Participate in class and make sure to read if you want to get a good grade. (Only 1 chance of EC @ the start of sem)
Imma give it to you straight, no. Okay yes, she's caring and bubbly but other than that I don't know what to tell you. Time on exams & quizzes need to be more and they're also comprehensive so you have to really understand. Here are some great professors for a&p: Imholtz, Parto, Hubley, Zeigler. Some good professors: Watts, Dragon. Options see?
Okay she's a great professor I give her that but when It comes to heavy lecture and exams especially lecture exams it is hard. The lecture is alright to understand but her lecture exam is like the hardest exam that ive ever took in my life LOL
I would never recommend anyone to take her she acts as though this is the only class you have abs gives redicolous case study please dont take this class
Great person, however this professor didn't bridge the gap for me there was a huge disconnect in what she taught and what was on her exams. Her exams are subjective to her as if she's taking it not students who are learning . And she gives you a minute per question even math problems . I Viewed professor Imholtz videos on YouTube and immed. Got it.
Worse lecturer for me; so far! She gives PBL questions like her life depends on it. Ma'am, stop making life so hard for your students.
If you do not want to waste your time and money, do not take class with this professor. very unprofessional, miss communication with students, never solve your doubts, she gives one minute to answer questions on lecture exams, PBL Homeworks are not clear. This spring class started with 21 stu than half of students dropped this class.
I just dropped this class, more than half of classmates dropped this class. She is very unprofessional, never solve your questions, she basically do not teach you or show you how to do homeworks, lecture exams are with very limited time. Dont take class with her, just wait for next semester to take it with another professor.
She's good but you technically have to teach yourself for lecture. You watch a video of her talking and hope for the best. Some tests have questions little stories she said in class but sometimes she doesn't even tell the class that story. Her exams are hard so STUDY every little thing matters. Things you wouldnt think are on the test are. GOODLUCK
LORD WHERE DO I START. This professor tests must be mcat's because there is no reason they're that hard. I studied really good for the first test and got a 70.. After that I gave up cause nah "i gotta put me first Lucious". Now I have to retake bio because of this professor. Those PBL projects will be the death of yall. Good Luck !
If you value your mental health& want to sleep at night go ahead and choose another professor! This is the hardest class I've ever taken. I cry myself to sleep because no matter how hard I studied... I just couldn't get a good grade. This class SUCKS THE LIFE OUT of you and her tests focus on the most specific questions like bruh chill out
Great personality and great teaching! You can tell that she invests a lot of herself and her experiences into her lectures, and they were always very engaging. She was also quite understanding, and she clearly cared about all of her students. The PBLs were definitely new to me, but they were certainly doable! Definitely would take her class again!
Prof Klein is a great prof. I had her for A&P 1 and 2. As a AHS kid, she understood our course load and helped us better study. She knows what shes talking about, is very kind, and interested in what you have to say in and outside of the classroom. Her teaching style may seem difficult but understand that there is a method to her madness. Love her!
Admittedly, Prof. Klein does have a method to her madness. Those PBLs and extra credit ultimately saved my grade and did prove useful while studying. However, those lab practicals are graded very harshly and she creates her own nonsensical questions on the lecture exam. She uses a "flipped" classroom model so students typically do not learn.
A&P II is a difficult class. The material is very complicated but Professor Klein does a wonderful job of explaining the pertinent information. She is kind and understanding, and more than any other professor at PGCC I've had thus far, she is deeply engaged with her students.
Very nice and so down to earth she takes time to hear you out and help you with anything
Professor Klein was a great professor; she was fun, engaging, and wanted you to get as much from her lectures as possible. If you talked to her after class, she could very easily explain anything you misunderstood and give you extra facts or advice. Some say Professor Klein is mean, but she may only appear that way because of your lack of effort.
You may look at my grade and invalidate my rating, but Professor Klein truly helped me pass. Professor Klein was a great professor; she was fun, engaging, and wanted you to get as much from her lectures as possible. If you talked to her after class, she could very easily explain anything you misunderstood and give you extra facts or advice.
I got a D in this class due to my own lack of effort. Professor Klein is HILARIOUS, inspiring, and so kind! I took her in Fall 2024, she was an outstanding professor. She was always willing to answer questions after class, lend a helping hand, and give you leniency if you struggled with deadlines or had personal issues. Kept lectures interesting!
I took A&P1 with a different professor last semester and failed. After crying nonstop for about a week or so, I registered for Klein's class. I loved her class so much that I registered for her A&P2 class in the spring. A&P1 is HARD regardless of the professor you pick, but she's available outside of class and she provides helpful study material
