She's a really cool teacher. She helps you out alot and is pretty leniant about accepting late work depending on how the class is. She teaches what you want to learn from the book. She's great. I strongly recommend her. J.C.
she is very good teacher.clear and useful.
She's a very nice lady. There's a lot of work and it's really fast paced. But overall pretty good.
I don't want to take away from the fact that she's a very nice lady. But her class is really fast paced, and the subject is somewhat difficult. She gives you a huge problem at the end as well as a test on that, as well as a final exam on the overall ciriculum. Recommended only for pro's.
easy A, open book/notes for tests. Very easy A and easy homework. tests are multiple choice and easy if u read prior to the test. midterm/final are the only tests and 1 major group project, but fairly easy depending on who is in your group.
She explains the information clearly and teaches the lectures in daily terms. She would find ways to teach us the material where it can help us in our daily lives. Smiles alot which results in nice feedback from the students. Not monotonous at all.
You must do the homework, it could nudge your grade by a whole point, and it really helps with the tests. Yes, she does go fast, but she will stop to help if you are unclear. She emails the notes so you can focus more in class. The tests are tough (especially the MC questions). Overall a fantastic teacher, teaches the real world of accounting.
This teacher cares about the students. She is very helpful and explains everything clearly. She emails you the notes and even tells you what to study on the upcoming tests. If you listen to what she says, you will do well. The class is fast-paced, but if you study and do the homework, you should be fine.
She is nice lady but she is not good in teaching. She does e-mail you notes but you can also download it at the textbook's official website. Her tests are hard especially the multiple choice questions. The class is very fast-paced so you have to understand the text and do many problems. Use P.T. 4.
She's one of the best professors in PCC! Clear explanation, and fair grading... Never regret to take her!
Good choice for Accounting 1A. She used the power-point in the lecture also email the power-point before the classes.Work on the Homework questions you will be doing well on the tests. Cummulative final.
excellent and nice lady in pcc! clear explanation, fair grading, and not much homeworks,if you want to get a good grade, take her.She is so open-minded and sweet. She always give students smiles, not hard class, easy but really learn a lot.Don't miss her, belive me you will be happy.
Ms. Lee is a fair grader, her lecture is crystal clear. If you got a question, she is happy to explain it. All tests come from homework. However, 1. Make perfect attendances for first 2 weeks at the beginning of the semester, otherwise she can drop you by anytime. 2. Doing the homework, don?t miss one, which will help to curve your final grade.
She talks extremely fast that most people won't follow. She talks a lot on her previous working experiences and her husband's business. All her lectures are about PPT, once she went through it, we start to do in-class exercises(most of the time we are working on our own in class).Multiple choices in the tests are supper hard, youll never get all rit
Extremely hard for short intersessions!! I made every effort -- studied very hard and absorbed everything but I still got a C because there was a lot of stuff and rigorous exams. Taking her class is one of the most regretting thing in my life. Don't take her!
SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE & STAY AWAY FROM HER! You want an easy class?Don't bother! The comments showing her decent quality were about 1 year ago.Obviously, she has changed.Classes are tedious, tests are freakin' hard with essay questions, and the whole semester is along with tons of burdensome hw.Darn! How I wish I could read the updated informati
forget about getting a good grade in her class, she's gonna directly ruin your GPA!! THis is the only class I feel frustrated:<
She's one of the worst teachers in PCC. She doesnt care how student is struggling in her class due to her hard grading and fast speech. She doesnt deserve to take her position!
She is by far the easiest accountant professor. I admit that she goes so quick on her lectures, and at times I can't even keep it up. Most of the time I learn the materials myself. Her tests are okay, but if you study, you should be fine.
She is not easy at all! Don't misadvise the following students!
Awesome teacher! Took her for 101 and 1A and there's no one I would have rather taken. The subject matter is a lot and there's a lot of work but she's the best teacher to help you with it. Moves at the class' pace; if she needs to slow down she will. You'd be an idiot if you didn't take her :)
This teacher goes lightning fast and if you get on her bad side you're screwd. She expects you to know everything she said in the lecture right after she gives it because she calls on you in class and gets upset if you have the wrong answer. Is very arrogant teacher and gives tons of homework every night. If only class you're taking then or fail.
It's a difficult class in general but she does well teaching it and helping you understand. It's pretty fast paced and it helps to attend all the classes and do the homework, otherwise you'll be a little lost. I recommend taking her though, she's very helpful and clear. I wish she taught 1B too.
1) Me Me Me-the class is about Ms. Lee and her husband.2)First 40min you are gonna go over a hw, and the only thing she cares about is to hear the right number. She does not care if nobody got it... . Tests are based on her power point slides and book mater. Even though she is saying "i dont know guys if you need to read a book..", do not listen.
It is easy to get A if you read the textbook and do the homework.
Paying attention is the most important thing, I listened to the lectures and only opened the book to do homework problems. She worked as a professional accountant for years so she knows the real practices, not just the theories. The class moves very fast, about a chapter a week. Go to every class on time, do the homework, and a B should be easy.
I have to say that take her!!!Her class is pretty helpful. It's not hard to get A. 15 out of 36 persons got A in our class. Do the hwk, go over the notes, and your grades couldn't be lower than B!!!Also? she’s got so much curves, and it will pump you a lot!!!
Remarkable teacher. She works hard to teach her students a real world view of accounting. She explains every detail in class and has notes available on her website. Attendance is a must. Homework and a strong determination benefit towards the end. Personally I consider Prof. Lee's class as one among my favorite classes in PCC.
Best accounting professor on campus :)! Class was three hours but it was the funniest and most interesting class I had in Spring. Professor Lee is very helpful and clear, and her and her husbands exp working as accountants for big companies makes the class more interesting ! Take this professor you won't regret it :))
Tests are based on hw. Generally 1 test for every chapter, 1 midterm, and 1 final(multiple choice). Approachable and explains things clearly. Tries really hard to help you passing the class. She has a good sense of humor, and makes accounting applicable to the real world.
Has been all I've read about and more! She is making a difficult subject seem easier...Professor Lee is sooo fine!!!
Professor Lee does her best to make sure you thoroughly understand the material. Gives points for going to the board when reviewing HW problems. Attendance is pretty much mandatory as she will deduct a point for each absence. Make sure you complete your homework as you may get called on! You either get a point for the day or a minus...
not an easy class, but doable. prof Lee did her best on her end. if you put enough of effort in, u should get at least a B. she is very helpful. recommended for those who major in business/accting
Accounting is already a hard subject itself, but Prof Lee gave examples to explain situations which is VERY helpful. She also lets you know what will be on the test and all you gotta do is study and understand the material and be sure to do the hw!!
Great teacher. its not easy but she know what she doing. if you try and do all your hw it will be no problem
She was a great teacher, I really enjoyed her class. She is not difficult but you are required to do the work. I'm a average C/B- student im not that smart but still managed to get a B. She will help you understand the material to prepare you for accounting 1B
She's really an amazing teacher. Accounting is a hard subject but she makes it easy to understand. If you study an A is definitely achievable. Overall the class was very enjoyable. The tests are based off of homework, plus she tells you exactly what's going to be on the test. She's a very fair grader I DEFINITELY recommend her she's AWESOME!!!
I think she is a great professor. She will scare the living day out of you on the first day for all her classes to kick out the people who don't try hard to pass. She is very knowledgeable in Acct 1A. She is strict on attendance so be sure to attend all her lectures. Overall, she is a fair professor. Read her Power Points, do all the homework. Gl!
NO QUESTION ABOUT IT, TAKE PROFESSOR LEE! Lectures are clear and concise. There is an exam after each chapter. HW & attendance are mandatory, she will deduct points if you fail to do either..she checks every class. She will help you in any way she can, gives a full review of every test. Easy B, you must work for an A. Will prepare you for life.
You'll learn a lot in her class. Don't expect the class to be easy becuz she provides u with notes & everything. Because even tho she's easier than other prof...still, accounting is a hard subject and it requires u to put in alot of efforts. Tests are easier than hw. In order to do well on the multiple choice, make sure u understand the materials.
Usually, I would fall asleep in my class. However, I'd never fell asleep in her class eventhough it was a 3hrs lecture class. Tests come every 2 weeks. Do the hw and go up to the board to earn extra credits. She's very fair. Can't have water bottles, calculator cover, pencil box etc. on the desks during exam. Everything is up front woohooo!!!
TAKE HER FOR ACCT!!! but still, it depends on your luck :P Her class is fair n fun. Everybody loves helping each other. THIS IS A GREAT CLASS, and it's one of the favorite classes in my life. Acct is challenging, but she makes it easier for you to understand. Still, u have to work hard in order to get A. Once u got A, you'd feel it worth ur efforts
I don't know why the person below called her a hater. Sometimes, she just seems to dislike you. So what? work hard and show her your efforts. To the person who wrote the comment below, I know you got a bad grade.
Even if u have a laptop, print out her notes cuz sometimes she will emphasize on the important stuff, and u can it down. Also, having hard copies would help alot when u study for the final (imagine studying for the final, having to go slide by slide on the screen when u can have 4 slides on one page of the notes). Go to tutoring as much as u can.
Her class was not hard since tests were easier than hw. But she said that she'd make her class a little bit harder next semester >:) The 1st test was easy n while most ppl got A, I only got B!! Then I worked harder n my final grade was A. I think there should be more jeopardy games becuz maybe It can motivate the ones who have low grade to learn
She'd try to scare people out on the first day, so that the lazy ones would drop her class. If you think you suck, and that you won't be able to work hard, just drop the class and don't even attend college. Some ppl seem super busy with their part-time jobs that they don't even do the hw nor study for the tests. Why go to college?
Best accounting teacher at PCC and everyone knows this. All the other accounting teachers are lazy, not helpful, and discontent but she is the complete opposite of that. Her class is so organized and straightforward but you do have to study. Every point counts--I got a 89.8% as my final grade and she refused to give me an A. Nevertheless, take her.
Best accounting professor at PCC. She teaches the material really well. The tests aren't that bad. You just need to study and review the PowerPoints. Definitely one of the best classes I've taken.
Her class is very fair. You will learn a lot. Go up to the board and earn more extra credit. Because at the end, even if you get 89.9%, she will not curve your grade. As she says, there are many extra credit opportunities, so there's no point of complaining why you can't get A. Acc 1b is harder, make sure you master 1a.
Tests are difficult. Not easy class.
Prof Lee is great. Calls on HW for EC. Tests are consisted of MC & written accounting. MC and TF are tricky, but they come from the PPT & lecture. Must mater acctg 1A to succeed in 1B...
One of the few professors that I enjoy taking at PCC. Attendance is mandatory, and you should always participate for EC. Doing homework will help you Ace the actual problem part of the tests, and reading the chapter will help you on the multiple choice part of it! Put effort into it, and you should get an A!
I LOVED Ms. Lee's class. Her lectures are crystal clear and she'll give real life examples to help you understand. She tells you exactly what to expect on the test. Always have hw done and go up to the board because it adds up in the end. She has a good sense of humor - never a dull moment. Worked hard and got an A. Wish she was teaching 1B.
She is a very knowledgable professor with a lot of accounting experience. There's a lot of extra credit opportunities so do hw and participate to get them. She's very helpful and is there for you if you have any questions. Make sure you understand the concepts rather than memorizing for the test because each chapter builds upon the previous one.
Best Accounting professor on campus.
Definitely knows her stuff, very helpful and specific. Gives great examples during lectures and prepares you for tests. She does expect you to put in effort and paying attention and practicing exampleshomework is key to success.
BEST PROFESSOR AT PCC!!!!! Take her, you won't regret.
Best Accounting Prof. at PCC, there's a reason her waitlist is long. Do your part and you can get B or higher; almost everyone who started semester with her stayed till the end. She really is the best you will find at PCC. She's not easy but not hard, homework helps a lot. Also Attendance matters, she'll drop your grade if you pass her limit.
I learned a lot from her class. Accounting is not easy, but it's important to understand the basic. She told our class to keep the book, because we might need it later on even when we go to work. I listened to her advice and it was true. My sister's going to UC and she didn't have a good acct prof & didn't learn much. Now, she even uses my book )
Take her! You'll appreciate the skill sets you learned from her class and the study habits formed from studying for her exams can be critical when you transferred to a 4-yr university. FIGHT ON!
test taking is stressful; she is super worried about cheating! she runs her class like a boardroom meeting (does well w/ppt). if you do your homework but not do a specific problem she docks pts so if you can't get its with homework then your pts will come from tests. tests are hard. she loses her patience trying to explain 2 stdnts who dont get it
Tons of work and tough class. Only goes through basic problem in class and expects us to do multi step problem when we only talk (not do) about most of the material. Online homework is a waste of time as you have to do it on paper and online. Test almost every week on stuff we barely learned. Must work hard for to get an A or an B. Self study ...
At first, she'll use scare tactics to weed out the lazy people, and if you're lazy, you better drop because you need to bust your butt if you want to get a respectable grade. Also, participate and do board work. She's hard-nosed and won't ease up even during office hours. If you don't understand the material, get help ASAP! Go to tutoring in LAC.
If you wanna be challenged and prepared at a university level then take prof. Lee. She's a USC graduated and will be tough on you because she cares about your education. If you're looking for an easy A and dont want to learn, dont take her. If you're looking for an A that requires effort and makes you learn, take her. Not for lazy students.
AMAZING professor. Definitely take her if your major is Accounting. It will help you in the long run. Her tests are fair and like what we learned in class. If you truly understand the material, then you will do well. She lectures without a break, so you get to leave around 10-15 minutes early. Don't take this class if you're lazy.
I Don't want to brag but I'm taking 20 units and I'll say this class is not too hard or not too easy. She will challenge you to prepare you to transfer to a 4-year university. Don't take this class for granted. Study and put in the effort and you'll realize that it's an easy A, given that you put in a decent amount of effort.
Ms. Lee tries her best to explain the course materials but a lot of the accounting concepts comes from understanding and reading the book. Her test are exactly what she tells you they are going to be, homework are counted as credits. Gives a lot of examples during class time, attendance is mandatory.
Professor lee does a great job explain the concept of accounting. She provides lecture notes which are really helpful and can be used as template when studying. I suggest that you read the textbook too to fully grasp and understand the concepts well, so that when it comes to multiple choice tests it will be easy. MC's are harder than written exam.
Lovely professor. If you ask a question, she will answers. People say the class is hard, but it really isn't. I mean the class is only intro to acct. If you can't handle it, then I suggest you think about field that is not related to acct. Book is only necessary for homework, or at least I didn't read the book at all. Overall, great professor.
Nice professor but I do not believe she does her best to help students. Often students asked questions and she asked if they read the book. It would've been helpful if she gave more examples.
Professor Lee is a phenomenal instructor. She teaches the subject well and tells you everything on what to study for exams. 95% of your grade is tests and 5% is homework. Extra credit is given. Her lectures are great because she uses straightforward examples and answers questions when students ask. It's a fast-paced class, ask questions and study!
I love Professor Lee! One of the best professors I had at PCC. She truly cares about her students and uses her experience to make a connection with the class. She makes sure EVERY student understands the material. I wish every teacher was like her. It's not an easy class. You have to work for your grade, but she makes it fun and very interesting.
Best teacher I've had at PCC. Loves the subject & teaches it so well. Always there if you need help. Lots of homework, but it is all helpful to study for the test. The class is half lecture, half group work. PARTICIPATE - these extra points add up & boost your grade a lot. No surprises at all on tests, & a review session before every test.
Best Accounting 1A Professor, IMO. Pr. Lee is kind and willing to help. Lectures are great & very helpful. Focuses on what you need to know for tests. Strong participation & printed notes possible extra credit. 1 hr study session offered before test days. 7 tests, 1 group project. Take the class serious and work hard, should be able to get an A.
Somewhat strict the way she runs her classroom but nevertheless I would recommend her for Accounting 1A. Acct. is not an easy subject so it really depends on how much work you put in yourself. She teaches the concepts well. Quite substantial extra credit is offered. If you attend class and do the homework, you should be able to get at least a "B"
One of the best teachers I ever had in PCC. She explains very clearly and she gives real life examples so it is easy to understand. Try to attend every class on time, do all homeworks and print notes (she gives extra credit for them). The scantron part of the tests are hard, but the problems are fairly easy. You can't be lazy in this class.
One of those teachers I will probably remember for the rest of my life! She manages to make such a dull and dry subject as accounting actually interesting. Definitely makes you work for it, but it helps to really understand everything. Amazing teacher that has real life experience, and applies real life situations to make thing easier to understand
Prof Lee is a teacher who truly cares about you "no t just getting the A," but understanding the material conceptually. Tough grader but very clear on material and fair. Would take again!
Trouble teacher. She will give you pass, but she doesn't give good grade. She's class is so boring, and everyday go to do the homework.
Bad teacher. She can not let you to understand the class what she teach.
She's a good professor that's willing to help students if they try and put in some effort. If you don't try at all then don't expect her to help you. This class has quite a bit of homework. Test is both written and multiple choice. Multiple choice is very hard compared to written. Not an easy A class. Make sure to STUDY!!
Ms. lee is an absolute rock star. This professor is the real deal. Proven corporate big 4 accountant and breaks all topics down barney style. If you enter this class with a genuine interest in accounting you will have an advantage at 4year schools just due to the way she teaches. Do your HW, don't skip, and be respectful! Best teacher Ive ever had
Ms. Lee is the best when it comes to ACC1A. She will make sure that you learn the material. Accounting overall is tedious and somewhat difficult. Tests are multiple choice and written. Make sure to participate in class and do the WileyPlus because it will help with your overall grade.
Best Accounting professor. She gives the information to you, straight in a way you will understand fully. There will usually be 2 chapters per exam. Her exams are not hard, but they aren't easy either. Just show up and pay attention, and you can learn a lot about business too. Stand out in her class. Print powerpoint notes for extra credit.
Ms. Lee is a USC grad with many years of experience with financial accounting and teaching it as well! She provides many ways for you to absorb and learn the material. Classes consist of her lecturing and also group work to do assignments from the book. It really helps you to learn when you do the assignments on the board with others. Tests arefair
Very professional and straightforward teaching style. Class consists of lecture and group board work. Print the notes, do the hw, and complete WileyPlus because those give extra credit points. If you put in effort to fully understand the concepts, study her notes, do each practice problem a few times then an A will come easy.
Mrs. Lee was hands down the best professor I have ever had. She will most definitely earn your respect by the end of the semester. A bit difficult, but do your work and study and you will pass. She truly prepares you for accounting jobs, which is relevant and useful within any profession. She truly cares about her students and will help if you ask
Definitely one of PCC's best professors. Her lectures are very clear and she has you do practice problems during class and if you volunteer to do the homework on the board, you get extra credit. Don't worry, it's not as scary as it sounds. Hands down would take this class again.
Lee is a good professor. Provides online notes, which she sometimes gives you extra credit if you print, and lectures off that. The rest of the class is group work. If you study for the test you'll pass. Not too much hw. Extra credit is offered for going up and explaining homework.
Professor Lee is hands down my favorite professor I've had. Her lectures are very clear and easy to follow. Homework isn't that heavy but still very helpful in understanding her lessons. As long as you take the time and effort to study for the test, complete the wileyplus and written hw, and answer hw problems for extra credit an A will come easy!
She is so nice and her lecture is nice as well. I did a good job in her class! You should really learn the textbook to understand the basic concept of accounting! Definitely, I would recommend her for you guys! She also provides students with As recommend letters!
I'm going to miss her class. She's a remarkable professor with extensive knowledge, and real work experiences as a CPA. Her lectures are engaging; she explains concepts understandably. 900 point class with weighted cumulative final exam, group project, chapter tests, and online homework assignments. You want to attend Review Sessions & participate!
Amazing lectures and really helps you understand Acct. Be ready an exam every other week, but it keeps you up to date and helps you retain everything taught. Make sure you stay up to date with lectures, if you get behind to get help from her or other students. She is really caring and recognizes you more if you try hard she respects your motivation
Lee is the best professor I have ever taken at PCC. Everything that's been said about her is true. She really dosent even need my rating but she was so good I had to. Shes also a babe.
I take her class in Fall 2018. She is a great professor. She provide great lecture. If you understand homework, you will get easy A. She also give extra credit with homework and print note. She provide a lot of information how to prepare transfer and be CPA. I highly recommend her.
I struggled in this class because it was so much and it goes super fast. Be careful if you want an A - this class is hard. Prof. Lee is caring and wants you to understand it though. I would suggest taking this class as the only hard class. Tests and class go fast and. board work is a lot of "work" too.
DIFFICULT CLASS but solid choice for professor. VERY USC-driven and TEACHES WELL. However, the material is super difficult and hard to get an A. BEWARE if you want to round your grade (she does not). Lots of practice on homework and class participation is mandatory. Exams are slightly difficult and you MUST STUDY for this class.
Prof. Lee is one of the best professors I've had at PCC, without a doubt. She may seem strict, but only because she wants to get the material inside your head. Do the homework and skim through the book, as it is definitely a lot of help. Exams are difficult but everything that was taught is on it. HW is online. Come to class and review her slides.
She makes you work for your grade but she also provides all the help necessary. Her exams are a combination of multiple choice and free response questions, with the multiple choice usually being the most difficult. Practice problems are done in groups during class and end up being reflected in the exam. She is very clear with what she expects.
Hated it. Day 1 she says, most of you will drop this class. Handful of students in the class she treated very well and answered their questions but others who she would not. Most of her class is review of slides. Tough exams, the problems are long and if you miss one step you're screwed. Lost most points on the multiple choice due to tricky q's.
So, I recently took this class during the fall of 2019 and I believe it was easy. There is a textbook that you need to buy, but you only need the Wileyplus (the code) to access the online assignments. Tips to succeed in this class: make friends in the beginning because you guys can study together, read the slides that she provides, and do the hw.
Good lecture but tough grader
I took her financial accounting class in the spring of 2019 and I would say it was my most favorite business class! All you have to do is do all your homework and attend her exam reviews. Everything will be exactly the same on the exam! She helps you a lot as long as you ask for help. The key is to keep practicing the homework and in class problems
Professor Lee is amazing, and I would highly recommend taking her (especially if you want to major in Accounting). Her class is not easy, but you'll do well if you put in the work. Read the texbook, print out her notes ahead of time, and participate in class. Her expectations are very clear.
she is an amazing teacher and person, always willing to help. If you are going to take this class online my main points are; Don't miss classes and stay the whole class, for the test all m/c 60%book & 40% lecture, try to understand how each accounting statement works (this will save you), try to participate a lot she really appreciates this.
Prof. Lee provided us students an impeccable job in teaching an online environment. Very organize, helpful and will give time to her students. Significant amount of Groupwork, wiley plus homework, and small quizzes before class. Some students may think she is to tough, but she is just preparing you for the real world.. Tips: dont by shy to ask
Easily the strictest and funniest professor. She only teaches the essentials and is very clear on what she wants to students to do. She lectures for half the class and then students split into groups to write on the whiteboards. She doesn't like to hand students answers. She has TAs to help you, but they won't give you the answer either.
This is not an easy class but Professor Lee makes it bearable & is amazing online. You'll use wiley plus for homework, practice, & tests. While you do have to pay for it, it comes with the ebook & gives assistance to the work. She also allows for multiple attempts for hw, practice, & quizzes. Her lectures are clear and she provides a note template
Professor Lee is a good professor. She has recorded videos of every chapter with a brief explanation. She uses Wiley plus for online homework, practice and tests. Zoom meetings contain short lectures and group work. Be prepare for pop quizzes before each class.
Took her b/w online transition. Her class is TOUGH in-person but she makes accounting very digestible. She explains each concept clearly and she's very kind. She is understanding but she has a level of expectations. You can't slack off and expect she'll help you out. She was not easy but I respected her and her class for sure.
First time back in college in over 25 years and signed up for Acct 1A during Winter term (forgot it was a short term) which made an already tough class even tougher. Without a doubt if it wasn't for Professor Lee, I wouldn't have learned anything. Very accessible, patient and skilled instructor. I'm very grateful to have had her as my instructor.
I am currently taking Prof. Lee and having a good experience. I had two classes this summer but once I realized the scope of what we would be covering in Lee's class I had to drop the other one. So be prepared to work; accounting is not a class you can just breeze through. Be consistent with doing the hw and you're good. I currently have a 90.3%.
Took her during summer, workload was quite a lot but it is manageable. Just watch her pre-recorded lectures and read the textbook. Her class is decent, it's an easy A but she doesn't really seem to care about student feedback. When you tell her smth is wrong on the test or on Wiley, she won't change your grade because "your grade is too high."
85 percent of the grade was determined to exams. Exam average went down throughout the course from around 79 to 65 percent. Respectable teacher but hard grader and lacks empathy.
The best teacher that Ive had at PCC so far. DOING HOMEWORK IS A MUST EVEN IF IT IS NOT GRADED! You must put in the work and effort or else she wont give you her own practice problems which mimic the exams. Tests are fairly simple. The multiple choice is harder than the short answer
She makes you prepare for a high-level college class. Exams are worth more than 80% of your grade. Fail the first or second, you can't bring it up. Read her lecture slides, show up to class, and do homework. It's best to read the chapters before coming to class. Put A LOT of effort , it's hard to get an A if you're not determined and motivated.
Professor Lee is by far the best professor I have had! Class is very detailed, organized, and structured to prepare you as a business major. Honestly if you show up and do some self study, you'll get an A or a B.. easily! Do the exercises as well, those are very helpful. As menacing as it may seem, she'll make accounting easy and digestible!
She cares very deeply about all of her students. Everything in the class is pretty straightforward forward and she explains everything very well and makes sure not to bore people by doing work in groups. Throughout this class, you will get to form your own groups and work together at least once everything single class. It's challenging but u got it
I had Professor Lee as my online ACCT 001A teacher for the Fall 2022 semester. She is, overall, a good teacher. Understandable lectures, a fair amount of work, and some extra credit opportunities. However, I recommend taking this course as a hybrid or in-person with this professor. All points are weighed evenly. Do all work for an exam safety net!
Professor Lee was amazing! I'm taking abridged accounting at uni right now and she has prepared me so much for it! Tests weren't bad (quite a bit of them though) and I thought the course was very manageable. SO happy I had her as my teacher! 100% recommend if you need this class!!
Accounting isn't the easiest subject, but she's a great professor and will teach it to you in a way that you'll understand. Do not expect an easy A. Grades are fully based on quizzes and exams. DO ALL THE HW EVEN IF IT'S NOT GRADED. IT HELPS!! Oh, and do take board work seriously, it's basically what's on the exams. Best of luck, you got this! :)
Professor Lee was an amazing professor! She is not an easy A at all which is why I ended up receiving a B. The grade mainly depends on the exams and final which are worth the most points. Also worth a pretty good amount of points is a group project comparing two companies. There are no surprises in her class if you put in the work you will do okay.
Amazing professor. Very group project and board work focused class with many projects and tests spread throughout the semester. You can tell that she really cares about her students understanding the topic and gives off good vibes. Grading is fair and she even explicitly says so, lots of super easy opportunities for extra credit .
Take professor lee for Financial Accounting. One of the best professors ive met in my life. Very inspirational and knowledgable about the field of accounting. Would take if you want to get into business or accounting!
She is very passionate about helping her students learn accounting. The best thing is board work, it is what truly helped me hone down the concepts. I will say, she does go over things pretty quickly. Make sure to self study and study ahead. Not an easy class but it will be the best class you've ever taken.
The quizzes are proctored and have built-in controls to protect the integrity of the assignment. Do not take her class online because she requires you to buy the book, access code, and a proctoring app, while other professors provide a free book copy or at least a website. She does offer extra credit, but it doesn't make a difference.
Too much homework, her exams were difficult, and daily group work.
Great professor, her videos are helpful and correlate to the exams. I did all the assignments + scored a C, B & A on the first 3 exams & low A on the final to get an A overall. Go to the EC events, they are helpful! Also, make sure to show a lot of work for the exams because she gives partial credit back per question! Good luck!
Professor Lee's ACC1A class is no easy A, but if you put in the work, you'll do well. The exams are worth a lot, so definitely use Unstuck ai for extra study prep. The material is challenging but manageable with consistent effort.
Although she is a bit hard, as long as you study, you''ll be on top of it and get a good grade. She provides great feedback and is willing to helps students out. She goes over homework and answers any questions during the lecture. She also helps students as a group if they all have a hard time. Provides alot of extra credit opportunities.
Love the professor and love the TA Jason. Very helpful and cool.
Made me love accounting! Lots of board work and good lectures. Tests were clear and had no surprises - everything is on her presentations. Weekly HW and quizzes. Put in the work and you WILL succeed. Professor Lee is a very kind and helpful professor. I would 100% recommend her to every student who needs to take this class.
If you're majoring in accounting Michelle Lee is a MUST take. Although the class is hard, if you put in the time and effort an A is possible. She preps you for act1b with Gregg and her class is mostly focused on lectures and board work.
Michelle Lee created an amazing learning environment. Unlike most professors, the class was very interactive and extremely useful. If you are remotely considering accounting, Michelle Lee is a MUST because of her connections and background.
Very good professor! Her slides, lectures, and practice FRQ and MCQ question correlate to real tests. She is a professor that actually wants her students to learn, and she does care a lot about them. Professor Lee offers extra credit if her students engage and attend business club meetings! Overall, great professor!
