She is very helpful and eager to make sure that all of her students understand. You will have to work in her class, but will leave her class with a clear understanding of the material. She is very easy to approach and eager to help you if you need it. Her assignments relate to the topics well

Lewellen is one of the nicest,sweetest,and EASIEST professor i've had in CC.her lectures are fun and interesting.no need to read the book if you go to every class and copy her notes on the board.Answers for her quizzes and tests are directly from her lecture notes. i definitely recommend her...VERY EASY A!!!

umm..this is class is pretty tough. The tests aren't that easy, but they aren't that hard either. Her notes don't really help me, so i read the book instead. DOn't get the study guide book when purchasing books because you don't need it

Lewellen is a great teacher. She's very interested in her field of work which makes the class so much fun. I didn't even use the book all semester and got an A. Just take notes and study that. The only thing I sorta didn't like was the small littler projects she makes us do, it makes me go back to kindergarten but it helps nonetheless.

I had no idea I wanted to be a Psych major until I was in her class. The info all about neuropsych was just so interesting to me, now I've made up my mind to receive a Masters in the field. It's teachers like her that really make a difference!

Cool professor. Took her in the summer and those two hours I was there on M-Th went by fast. Interesting subject and gives examples from her personal experience. Have to study for test but nothing major, attend every class and you'll be fine plus you'll earn extra points.

I dont know why everyone says shes hott,she is not hott at all! She IS annoying, and has dumb assignments,but i guess since its biopsych they CAN be helpful.Some assignments derail from what the purpose of the class is.I wish there was more depth about other BIO processes like sensory and perception.Tests come from notes,MUST GO TO CLASS & Read!

What she lacks in lecture she more than makes up for in other areas. The class was a little difficult, but she truly wants to see her students succeed and will help you the whole way if you let her. I took Michelle for a 3 hour night class, which are usually awful by default, but she made the class go by quickly- she was funny and she really knows her stuff. She's very open to questions, the courseload is straightforward and she gives extra credit points. If you do your work and do the study guides you'll pass, and most likely, ace the course.

She is a good teacher but the class is hard. The quizzes are simple but there are 7 of them and then a cumulative final which is so cruel of her to do. Theres so much stuff to study and she gives a lot of hw for every chapter. I liked going to class cus the lectures were interesting but the class is tough. She also gives alot of extra credit which is great. I just wish she didnt give us 7 quizzes and a cumulative final. Horrible experience studying for her class but lectures were interesting.

She is one of the best college professors I've ever had, and I've attended Long Beach City for 3 years prior to coming to Cerritos. I've failed her classes 2 semesters in a row, but will keep attending until I pass =). She makes Neuroscience very captivating, and is also attractive which makes it harder to pay attention.

She's a great professor! She explains the course material with clarity! And if you have questions she likes answering them it shows her you're actually thinking. Her extra credit points are not just given you have to work hard for them, you actually learn when you do the extra credit,not just got to a museum or what not type! Amazing experience!

She's very passionate about the material which makes it easier for students to engage with the lectures, a lot of tests but if you do the study guides you should be fine, I recommend to attend every single class because you lean so much from her lectures! for exams I did my study guide and going to class helped a lot, overall good professor.

So you do the study guides first. same info in lecture slides (second), and we get to draw a bit(third). By then you should be good on the test. She does her job really well and in respect to the class she knows how you can learn better (biopsych, duh)which I think is why she is engaging. Movies and articles for extra credit. Just awesome.

As a professor, she teaches with great clarity and her lectures are easy to understand as long as you're there and paying attention. But miss even one day and you'll be lost! She gives tons of extra credit: perfect attendance, films, games, articles, study guides. Tests are hard. Her personality is fun & humorous (kinda dirty at times), but caring.

She is greatly loved by her students, gives a daily joke. The lectures are very simple and easy to understand, she does make you do projects but they a very small, most are 2 page papers. Quiz's are very straight forward and if you listen in class you'll pass.

For serious students only. Her lectures are interesting and she is clearly passionate about her subject. However, this is not an easy class. There is a lot of material to remember and homework to do almost every week. Do the study guides, it makes a huge difference. I had so much fun and will take more classes with Michelle again.

Tons of extra credits. As a STEM major most difficult Exams i have taken outside STEM classes. curves grades to the highest grade so pray you are the smartest in the bunch. don't worry you will be fine smells of cigarette lol.

SUMMER! I was so scared of a summer class but after the first week you get the hang of the schedule. She is awesome. Her stories help you relate to the material. I have taken all my psychology classes with her, except for stats, because she doesn't give it, I would if she would offer it, gives you the opportunity to rewrite assig.s do them, she gives you what you earn, i missed an A by 2 pts. if i had rewritten all possible work I would of had an A for sure. I took her in the summer for 101 even though she doesn't usually teach it. The book is online you will read it alot. she is really funny and wants you to learn, she doesn't usually teach 101 but she taught the material well

Psychology is my major so I wanted to make sure that I got the most out of this intro class. She is so funny and makes the lectures personal, time just flies by. The homework is easy and has clear directions. This is on of the professors that is honestly there to help you and wants you to succeed. I am going to be taking her again for PSYC 241.

Awesome Instructor. I took a 6 week course and it was tough because you have to study everyday and submit assignments every other day. However, She helps you so much with letting you redo the assignment to correct some mistakes. The lectures are helpful and she gives out plenty of extra credit. Stay on top of the assignments and it's an Easy A!

Tough teacher but feels like I worked for my grade. Offers wonderful feedback and a very clear, defined grading rubric so you know exactly what you need to do in order to succeed. However, she is quite rigid when it comes to reaching out to her. She snapped at me for not addressing her properly via email. But she offers a lot of E.C.!

This is a class where you have to work hard for your grade yet enjoy what you learn! I know all these reviews say otherwise but this course has changed! If you communicate with the Professor, she is very understanding! Review lectures as much as you need to, and take notes! Assignments arent as difficult. Challenge yourself you wont regret it!

Effort is a must in this course however if you study you will not fail. There is A LOT of studying required and a good amount of assignments due but she provided the required material and assistance to learn and pass the course. I took her 9 week course & would recommend her, she is an outstanding professor.

I was unsure about taking this class at first due to some reviews but it was definitely a manageable class. You must put in the effort like any other college-level class. I did not do well on some assignments but she gives plenty of opportunities to redo assignments. Ask for help, do the extra credit, and put in the effort and you'll be fine.

She was amazing! you get extra credit mostly every module which is helpful. This is what helped me keep an "A" in her class. Also I am a FT student with14 units this semester. So, take advantage of her office hours!! You'll do well turn work on time, and participating in office hours. I don't know why many of the posts here are so salty.

It is a lot of work, but if you put in the effort you should be fine. You are given two chances on the quizzes and as long as you read and follow the directions of each assignment you should be fine. Also, I wrote everything she said in all of her lectures and that helped a lot for both the assignments and quizzes (it is time consuming though).

Please don't let the reviews stop you from taking this professor. this isnt the type of online class to slack off you have to actually learn. I did take her twice because i had to drop in the spring and summer was just as simple. Study and do your work, she allows makeups and late assignments.

Im confused with the ratings, I got a good grade and didn't stress that much in class, just because it is an online class doesn't mean you don't get to do any homework lol this is College... she's chill and yeah she grades hard but just follow instructions with her assignments and you'll be fine.
