Dr. P is so amazing. She is very knowledgeable about theories and practical aspects of education and seems to believe that dedicated, organized teachers can make a difference. I love how excited she is about the topic and the respect she gives to (and deserves from) her students. Definitely take this class.

Dr. P is very helpful. She cares about all her students. She knows her stuff and is a role model for all future teachers to look up too! Enjoyed her class. if you plan on slacking off dont waste her time!

I took her class and felt really humiliated. She called on me surprisingly and asked me a common history question. I felt that I was put on the spot and quickly responded with, "1950's". Everybody laughed while she joined in. I dropped the class a week later.

AWESOME teacher, she reminds you why you want to be a teacher in the first place. even after i have left CLC, she is still in contact with her students and she is just the best teacher that I have ever had in my whole educational life. shes great!

I love Dr. P! She is AWESOME! We had 3 parties throughout the semester: each party we got to bring in food. She tries to get to know you- instead of just teach, bam, bye. We have good discussions in class and I feel very comfortable. Dr. P makes class fun and interesting by playing games and drama stuff, discussions, etc. Go for it! :)

She's tough, but she knows her stuff. Come to class prepared and you will reap the rewards.

Dr. P. is a true example of a multi-cultural teacher! She practices what she teaches. If teaching is your goal, she will help prepare you to that end. Her classes are never boring and you have to be ready for anything. She is tough, her work will challenge you, but she is extremely helpful and committed to your success. She's an amazing person!

Dr. P is an outstanding teacher. I admire her in all ways. It is a hard class, but if you come every week and work hard, you will be rewarded! We got to bring snacks every week, and had a final party/meet the teacher presentations the last day of class. I am taking her Diversity in Schools class next semester. She's a good teacher, but in my experience she's an extremely observant person and sometimes power hungry which is uncomfortable. I felt that she needed to be more respectful towards students' cultures if she is going to teach cultural diversity. I did learn a lot in this class but only from the book and the research I conducted.

This class was exhausting! I took Intro to Edu, 3 hours, and it was more work than my 5 hour Chem class. She's a good teacher but all about the politics of teaching. I want to work with children, not be a politician. The whole class made me seriously consider changing majors. Aside from that, LOTS of reading and INTENSE classes.

Proctor knows her subject area and beyond. She challenges her students to insure they achieve more. Great teacher.

I was terrified after reading RMP.com but the comments on are totally wrong! Yes, the class was difficult but if you aren't willing to work you shouldn't be a teacher. I thought she was very fair, never picked favorites and I learned so much that will make me a better teacher. My entire class had only good things to say about her and the class!!

she did not want to give people the higher grade if you were on the border. She also picked her favorite student. when u asked her what you need to do to get a better grade, she would just simply say, "you know joe doe? yeah uhmm look at what he does in class and be like him" now what kind of advice is that? how would that help you in class? s

She is great. Her test are hard and she gives you a tone of information. I am now at a four year school and her class did a great job getting me ready. This class is fun but is no joke, you have to put the work in.

Dr. P is an AMAZING inspiring teacher! She is one of the best profs I have had at CLC. She is very personable and will help you with anything and everything even if it doesnt relate to the class. The best professor at CLC. You can't ask for anything more in a teacher. She's hard, but she just wants the best out of her students and push them to their potential. Without her, I don't think I would be in the field of education. Tremendous personality, very helpful, couldn't ask for any better.

Dr. P is definitely one of my favorite teachers! She is so great at involving everyone in the class. She is very passionate about teaching and gives a great insight in the field of education. I would suggest her class to anyone who is considering to be a teacher because like me, I'm sure you would want to be a teacher after having Dr. P!!

I love Dr. Proctor! She was very helpful and extremely professional! She wants nothing but the best for her students! As long as you come to class and do the journals, homework and study for tests, you will do great! When she assigns you to submit a lesson plan for her class, just make sure it's creative and fun and listen to everything she wants!

If you are curious or interested in becoming a teacher, I seriously recommend taking Dr. P. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about education. Her teaching philosophy is effective because she connects the material to your life. She loves all of her students and pushes you to think outside the box. She is beyond amazing and inspirational!!!

This class was half online half in person. I wish the class was always in person because she is a wonderful teacher and makes class interesting and fun. She is always providing new and fun activates to do. I am looking forward to taking more classes with her, she really knows her subject and is passionate about teaching. Great teacher!

The class was half online and the other was face to face. She has been the best teacher I have ever had. She is very passionate about teaching and has great experience. She is always willing to meet with you when you need help. Everything you do in class in interesting and interactive. She is a great person and even better teacher.

She was absolutely amazing!! She was definitely a tough grader, but if you put in the right amount of effort you were awarded with the appropriate grade. She made my teaching abilities and confidence shoot through the roof.

Dr Proctor is a hard teacher. If you're on the fence about teaching, she may scare the interest right out of you. She's not a bad teacher. She's just hardcore. It's not an easy class and it's very time consuming. If you know you want to teach for a living, she'll give you lots of guidance and direction.

If you are thinking about becoming a teacher, TAKE THIS CLASS. I cannot recommend Proctor enough. She gives useful information with real life connections so you feel better prepared to be an educator. She will push you but you'll be thankful for it. Be ready for a challenge that you'll look forward to going to :)

I just LOVE this class! Dr. Proctor is extremely helpful! She connects the lesson to her own real life stories which really makes the information memorable for me. She keeps a good class climate. I would definitely recommend you take this teacher for this class! She's awesome and is really hands-on and willing to help out.

If you want to be a teacher and a very good one at that, she's the teacher to have. Always there for her students, class is always fun and enjoyable, and she has a passion for what she does. Be ready to read. Notes are a must. there are a few papers and projects but they're fun. One of the best teachers I've had at CLC by far

Clear with everything expected in her class. It is required to read and understand each chapter from the textbook to pass this course. Course is mostly based on participation, homework and papers. The teacher will do everything in her power to help all of her students. Papers are assigned frequently so make sure you plan ahead. Great teacher.

Michelle Proctor was the greatest teacher I have EVER had. She cares so much about her students and is so excited about what she does. She makes lectures fun and wants lots of participation. I completely recommend her to anyone who is going into education.

Loved her EDU 121 so much, I took another class with her. Really there for you, good connects, and makes class fun. I recommend that you take a class with her if you can. You won't regret it

Dr. Proctor was amazing. If you want to be an educator I recommend this professor. Her EDU 121 really opens your eyes to the realities of teaching. Besides learning what it takes to be an excellent teacher, she also teachers you what it means to be a good person.

I enjoyed Dr P's class. She has a unique teaching style. Her lectures are not boring & they are more discussion based rather than her just talking. She did keep us late on several occasions & at times was not consistent when posting assignments. If you're an Education major, you will find this class useful.

Love love love this professor. Yes, she is a tough grader and expects you to do your work and be in class, but she is so caring and understanding. She is like your school mother, that's the best way I can describe her.

one of the greatest profs i have ever had! she truly cares about you and wants you to succeed. trust me, everything you do in ed 121 is really helpful if you want to be a teacher. she truly cares and is brutally honest.

Doctor Proctor is one of those professors that you hope to take early on in your college career. She cares about her students success if you clearly put in the effort. If you slack, she will notice and she will push you. This woman changed my experience at CLC, along with other professors.

Proctor is by far one of the best professors/teachers Ive ever had. She does talk about her family & personal experiences a lot but its not pointless. She ties it in to the class. Although the class isnt huge on tests, the class discussions are always about the chapter & youll need the info for the many essays, be ready to read! Shes wonderful

I haven't met a teacher I have connected more with than Dr. Proctor. She's always making sure that all of her class was up to speed and genuinely cared about our future. There is a lot of work with reading the textbook and a lot of papers and projects but as long as you don't stress out and keep calm you'll love this class.

I am genuinely confused by the reviews left for Dr.P, who has been the most caring, inspiring, and genuinely dedicated professors I've had in this semester. In my experience, never have I seen her belittle or embarrass students, let alone single anyone out to an extreme. She has been understanding and has graded fairly. Really fun class!

Dr. P is one of the most caring professors I have ever met so far. She cares that her students do well in and out of the classroom. She made the class enjoyable, and we also got to learn about some strategies we can use for our future classroom. She does give extra credit opportunities, in which I really enjoy. I highly recommend choosing Dr. P.

Dr. Proctor always kept class interesting and engaging. She was the only professor that genuinely cared about my career path and helped me set a goal for when I was done at CLC. She is very open minded and never belittled her students. She could seem intimidating at times but that's only because she wants her students to be successful in her class.

Great teacher especially if you are willing to work. Amazing at helping out in and out of the classroom. Shows up and is willing to sit there and learn with you not just teach. Overall fun and amazing teacher, just make sure you don't slack off or it will bite you in the end. By far one of my favorite teachers over my 2 years now in college.

Dr.Proctor is an amazing Professor. I had her for EDU 121 and she was very clear with her lectures, and even connected the material to her own personal life with many great connections that not only engaged the class, but made me want to learn. She motivated me to continue my path with education. She is very compassionate and cares for her students

This class was one of my favorites. I expressed to Dr. P that I wasn't sure about taking an online class because it would be hard for me to focus but she told me to give it a trial run and see how it feels. Even though it was an online class, she made it just as engaging as the person class. She made it FUN!! Highly recommend taking this class:)

Dr. P is the best professor I've ever had. She cares about you as a person and your success, but you have to show that it matters to you too. I've taken her Intro to Teaching class in person and her Diversity class online; both were excellent experiences. Once you've taken courses with her, she remains your mentor to help you. Dr. P is an inspiration as an educator and gives some of the most thorough, detailed feedback I have received-- she truly cares about her students' success. You will receive what you give in this class. Her understanding of the education field is unparalleled and I would urge any future teacher to have even just a brief conversation with her.

The class at first was fun, lots of energy and engagement. In the second half it began to get a little hard to follow as the pop quizzes throw you off and the assessments are cumulative. However don't let it scare you, we are here to learn. She will help you during her office hours and via email. It's a fun class- Good experience.

Make sure to take lots of notes and ask questions. Don't be afraid to let the professor know if you don't understand something or if you feel like she's coming at you a little strong. You will learn she means well just has a bit of strong character. Overall, the class lectures and the material you are given helps you be successful in class.
