Awesome professor. The class is mostly easy and interesting. Homework is clear explained and not difficult to get good score(unless you slack off). Tests are easy but also tricky but there won't be any problem if you understand the materials and study. Overall a wonderful professor.

too exaggerated on black right and stuff. but honestly. easy class ifyou attend and do homework. im not a dumb girl but i did not have to study for the class. read over the summary at end of chapter.. know vocab.. and itz cool.. but she is VERY anal about high school stuff.. everything but grading she is anal

Good teacher and she has good personality. She is very picky when it comes to homework, but it's easy. talk alot about inequality sometimes. Test's are hard for some, but just study key terms and summary at end of chapters to get B or A.

need book. 4 tests, allows you to drop the lowest test. homework has nothing to do with the subject, but is easy and simple. test is easy review the slides that she shows on the power point, then you'll ace it

If you don't mind being treated like a first grader (name tags, awards ceremony the day of finals), not leaving early on the days of tests, having to sign in before the exact time your class starts, being VERY carefully graded on monotonous time-consuming homework, etc. then take this class. The tests are EASY. SUPER EASY. I just felt like a kid.

She's really cool. She makes an 8am class very interesting no one is ever sleeeping in that class! she's very helpful, fun, and gives her students courage to be good or do better!

she made our class very fun & interesting! definitely learned a lot. i recommend you take it during a shorter session (i did) HWs and tests were easier. you dont need to buy the book (she emails you the notes!) just be sure to add more notes and you'll be fine. tests are multiple choice & mostly based on the notes.

the greatest teacher. she's hilarious & so easy. the tests are real easy as long as you pay attention and study. at the end of the semester she gives out awards for everyone in the class. kind of cheesy but thats what makes her so lovable.

Very helpful teacher, seems to have a genuine interest in helping students learn. Not much material is covered, very basic principles. Occasional lectures with light workload. Nothing especially interesting, and just a mediocre easy course for necessary credits.

She was a very enthusiastic teacher in the beginning. After a week or two, she began to crack down on business. She was very organized and very clearly explained what she wanted. If there was ever a question, she explained the answer to the fullest that she could. Homework was not too hard and classwork was very simple

this class is amazing! it's not difficult at all, and it definitely is very interesting. she is a great teacher! she makes the class very fun. you watch mulan, have a potluck, learn about the little mermaid, watch music videos, and have an awards ceremony at the end of class. read the book and you will get good grades on every test!

She is an amazing professor. You can tell she loves her job and she truely cares about the students in her class. She will go out of her way to help you and she tells you exactly what she wants. Tough grader though. Every interesting. Do not slack off, she will call out out if she thinks you are.

If you need sociology I suggest you take her. I studied the day before missed alot of hmwk and ended up with a B. I got one 76% and 3 other tests were 90% or above. Just follow all the instructions she gives you, go to class every day and study the power point notes. I didn't have a problem with her - she has good intentions.

What I like about her is that she is really organized. She is a bit anal about the way she wants her homework to be done and turned it, but as long as you do it right, and listen to her lectures and study off of her powerpoint slides then you should end up with an A. She's also a funny teacher which helps you pay attention to the lectures.

Her class is really fun. she is super nice and tells you EXACTLY what she wants. If you do you work and study you will get at least a B but put in a little extra effort and getting an A is very possible.

Very picky, you really feel like your in elementry school. I can't agree with the person below me enough, everything has to do with her race. I keep forgetting she is black until she reminds us...every class. I would not take another class with her.

At first, I thought this class would be boring but Professor ST kind of proved me wrong(Kind of), instead her class is 'okay'. Class is mandatory because she also grades you by attendance. Second, if you are not organized, it's either; you take her to learn how to be organized, or you do not take her if it will just piss you off.

This teacher kept the class very interesting. She absolutely makes you earn your grade. Yes, I will agree that she definitely likes things done in a certain way...so just do it. I took her for SOC 14 too - more work. You will not do well unless you do all of her assignments and are in class everyday. Does a lot of group work!

Professor ST was very helpful, I found the course to be pretty easy. Yes her OCD is a little extreme but in the long run her habits have helped me with other courses. She does pay a lot of attention to race so be prepared for that, but otherwise she is a good and fair professor.

I love Dr. ST! She has sense of humor and i never get bored with her class even though it's from 7-10pm. She is strict when it comes to papers. You should know how to FOLLOW instructions. Can't stress that enough, FOLLOW her instructions and you'll be good. Learned a lot from her. If you want an A, work for it!

cool teacher, really outgoing, and does try to help her students. however, she is pretty limited cause she has a crazy schedule. very tedious with homework, will take off a little bit of points for simple stuff. overall, pretty good teacher.

She's perfectionist & spells out what she requires. She's funny, good personality. Grades tough & takes off points for any little thing. She makes you get in groups. Book is definitely required & she does supply check door on test day. Something about her is super cute though. She's spunky & gave an uplifting speech on last day. I do recommend her.

she is an easy teacher overall. get years are easy, just study the notes and read the book, vocabularies are also tested. she grades hard on homeworks because she is a perfectionist. if you forgot to write your class number in the paper, she deducts point. finals exams are from the previous tests.

Michelle Stewart-Thomas is an amazing professor! She is extremely helpful and actually cares about her students! The examples she uses in class is very easy to understand and relatable. However, she is very PICKY about her homework assignments and papers so make sure you follow directions!:)

She made sociology fun and interesting! Every class is interactive and just study her notes and read your book and you'll ace her class! But she is really strict with her homework, make sure to follow the directions properly.

Took this class as an incoming freshman and didn't know what to expect. This class was so much fun and I actually learned a lot. Yes, she's very particular about the format of her assignments, but you get used to it. Her test are EXACTLY what she teaches so if you pay attention you'll do just fine. I would 100% take this class over again!

I TOOK SOCIOLOGY 3 TIMES AND THE 1ST TWO TIMES I FAILED. I TOOK HER THE THIRD TIME AND ENJOYED EVERY MOMENT. HER LECTURES ARE VERY INTERESTING. PAY ATTENTION AND YOU'LL PASS. SHE IS VERY PARTICULAR ON HOW SHE WANTS HER WORK DONE SO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER. SHE MADE ME THINK ABOUT MAJORING IN SOCIOLOGY.

Dr. ST was an amazing professor. Yes, she makes you work for your grade, but you'll love every minute of it. She really does care. I'd take her SOC 2 class on Fridays, but it doesn't fit in with my schedule.

Professor ST is great! She truly cares about every student and is willing to help in any way. There were 4 exams not including the final. You must study for these tests. Don't miss class b/c there is a lot of in class assignments. Her lectures were interesting and very funny. She makes it so everyone interests with class discussions.

she's really great. the only thing I wasn't very fond of was how technical she is when it comes down to the homework and assignments. I once got half a point marked down because I didn't write my name the way she had said. Lots of directions to follow in this class but you will learn a lot.

Funny and sweet! She makes long lectures interesting. Attendance counts, a lot of homework, you can get by without the book but i would recommend buying or renting it for tests. Drops lowest test score, but what you get on the tests pretty much determines your grades. Tests are based on lecture and textbook but if you study they are really easy.

Dr. Stewart Thomas is definitely an amazing person and professor. I loved her class and it was on a Friday! She is very inspiring and wants students to do well on tests and assignments. She is very helpful and makes class fun. I highly recommend her! Would take her class again and again.

I'm rating this professor high because she's honestly a good professor. She might be the most caring professor I ever had. She is very serious about her work and wants you to succeed. She is also funny. The material however wasn't for me. I just found out I really don't like sociology. But other than that 10/10 professor.

She is character. Follow direction for homework and writing assignment EXACTLY how she tells you and you will be fine. Her test are easy just make sure you do the study guide. She takes points of assignment for any little thing. You will feel like you are in elementary again. You will have a number assigned to you. She is a control freak but cool.

I loved this class so much. She is such a sweetheart. I was able to apply things from class to my own relationships. How cool is that!! As long as you pay attention to the lecture and write down what she does on the board you will pass the tests and the class. I wish there was a part two to this class.

She is a super kind and caring professor. She truly cares about her students, but attendance is important to her. She wants to feel you are showing up and learning so you cant miss class three times or youll be dropped. But her class is very easy going and she makes the topics fun to learn.

Her class was very interesting considering it was her first time teaching Intro to Criminology. Tried to make it as fun as possible. Her exams were very easy and not tricky at all. At the end you have a potluck and watch a movie. Attendance is mandatory and takes roll. Overall a very easy class.

Had her for Criminology. Very fun professor and easy to understand Her class is pretty easy to pass if you just do the assignments. Most of the time she provides easy and quick lessons. She makes everyone feel comfortable. My only criticism is that during my time she spent a majority discussing immigration and not much on crime in general.

Really cares about students and teaching. puts in a lot of effort into her PowerPoints and communicates consistently with the class. 3 exams plus the final but drops the lowest grade. there's a lot of quizzes but some are open notes and some allow multiple attempts. No textbook required.

Took Dr. Mica for Intro to African American Studies. Couse not listed here. Interesting class. Learned a lot about history and current events. She is passionate about helping you learn. Dr. Mica values her students. Feedback on your papers are great. Will work with you to help you pass. PowerPoints and study guides make everything simpler.
