Very nice and very helpful. I took her over summer. Attendence wasn't mandatory and homework was collected every 2 weeks on test days. Really good teacher.
Homework did not have to be turned in. But if you did the hmwk it really helped on the tests. That is where she got the ?'s from. Gave extra credit. Very nice lady.
This professor does not know how to teach. Several students in the class complained about her less than effective teaching skills. All she does is work problems on the board and goes way too fast for anything to make sense.
Very easy to follow her lectures. Notes are easy to take; just copy down exactly what she writes on the board. If you pay attention and ask questions when you don't understand something, she will work to clarify until you understand. She's very helpful and even lets you retake missed exam questions for more credit (which lead to higher text grade).
she is easy to understand and does a good job in teaching is helpful and gives examples and review hmwk with us before handing in
Great teacher, explains things until you get it and generally cares about the quality of work. Easy to get good grades on tests, if you do the rec problems. Take her, she's great.
She was always helpful and made herself available. Very easy class. Very recommended!
As her brother I know she can be tough, but I know she is very helpful. So stay in and attend and do the work you slackers. She is there for help if you need her, she want you to pass!!
wow she seems to be an amazing teacher! I can't wait to finish out the semester!
Mrs. Taylor is sooooooo awesome, sweet, and easy to understand! She explains everything perfectly! She makes class easy and there is like no HW, she gives tons of extra credit and i HIGHLY recommend her!! She is GREAT!!
she is the coolest professor i have ever had..she actually made me love math again. Her teaching skills are the best.. I recommend this professor to everyone, who thinks math is not their thing.
Mrs. Taylor is definitely a dedicated teacher, she works with her students as hard as she can. However, she seems to be a new teacher (she doesn't have much presence) but that's ok, it will grow on her. The class was very confusing to me but I think she's ok. Take this class if yiu want a hard B (as in the letter grade).
She is very helpful, she wants you to pass. She is always available for any questions. She explains things very well. You have to study for the tests and you have two problems for each section due on the day of the test.
3rd time taking mac1105 and Ms.Taylor was the best. Took this in the summer and thought it would be hard as hell but she teaches at a good pace and wants you to get the material! attendance not mandatory but you should go to class = good lectures, plenty of extra credit! grades on a point system. got an A =)
Took this prof for College math, not my favorite subject. This teacher is very helpful and is always available anytime you have questions. Also, she is understanding if you have to turn something in a class late. she works with you the best she can. I didnt get everything and got a few bad test scores, but try hard and you will succeed.
She is such a great teacher. She was always very nice and helpful and I LOVED this class. I highly recommend this teacher. :)
She's a great instructor. She explains the processes very logically and gives partial credit on tests. She also allows corrects on wrong answers sometimes, which can be really helpful. She's always extremely friendly and inviting. I hope to take her again.
She is super sweet. Her explanations are cristal clear, if if you get lost just ask her to explain back and she is happy to do it. Very helpful, she is very inviting, she wants students to participate making questions, Few in-class work and online HW of each chapter due the dat before that chapter's test..lots of extra credit! Very good teacher!!
To cut to the chase, I HATE MATH. Prof Taylor has to be the sweetest most caring professor ever, but I still got a "D". This is my own fault, show up, DO THE HW!!! and take the tests, she even lets you do test corrections on occasion and sometimes opens up hw that was due so that you can go back and correct it. I didn't pass due to pure laziness.
AN AMAZING PROFESSOR! She's made me a pro at Algebra! I wish she was teaching the math courses I have now because I miss her teaching style. IF U WANT AN AWESOME PROFESSOR GO WITH HER! She even gave extra credit opp. Shes so caring and helpful! :)
She's just Amazing. I suck at math and I got an A+ in her class. She explains things very well and accurately. She is open to questions and....She's Just Amazing. I wish I could have her for EVERY math class.
Prof. Taylor, she's a low talker, basically reviews all work in class. Homework is due every other friday, lab online was cool but how she set it up was idiotic cuz its only 15 problem but set it individuals.
She is a great math teacher - I can't explain it, but I have never understood math so well! The way she explains thinks, just allowed me to grasp the concepts and equations like never before. I've always been naturally good at math, and her class just made me even better. I definitely recommend her.
She is the best! Prof. Taylor is a sweetheart, and she really cares about her students. It's a pretty easy class. Really, I've never had such a good prof! I wish i could take her again! TAKE HER you will not regret it :)
Great Professor! Easy, very nice, and laid back. Tests are all handwritten but aren't bad. HW is easy and is due once a week, and you have a weekly quiz and an in-class assignment. Again, take her! She is a great teacher, I really liked her!
Teaches textbook method. Test reviews are not like actual exams. Quizzes on Friday and in class participation weekly if you don?t get your low score is counted in final grade. If you are good at math and can teach yourself using the class notes and other forms then yes but if you are not don?t take this class. She nice and available upon request.
This professor teaches @ UCF also. I would only recommend her if math is your forte. Quiz & in-class assignment due every day, and 60 hw problems online 4 every chapter. Very nice & helpful, but reminded me of an elementary school teacher and I just didn't find her class stimulating at all. Very time-consuming. Might recommend if u r a math major.
GREAT PROFESSOR :)!!! She will work with you if you need help had regular office hours, answers emails quickly!!! If you put in the work you will make a good grade!!! Definately recommend I will be taking her again for Precalc!!!
not recommended for those who struggle w/ math or had to take prep courses to get to college level. if you have always done great with math this class will probably be fine. shes good w/ office hrs. things moved really fast and made no sense to me. too much online hw. had to withdraw, re took this class with a diff prof & got a high A -_-
Definitely the best professor I have ever had. Math can be a difficult subject for some, but she is very meticulous when it comes to her teaching. You definitely learn everything you need in order to pass. Professor Taylor definitely does her best to help everyone in the class pass. BEST PROFESSOR EVER.
She did a tremendous job explaining the material. She was always open to answering questions. She is a very nice teacher and a very nice person. I recommend her highly.
*THE BEST!* :) She is very sweet and is an awesome teacher! She makes it easy to pass. I suck at Algebra and I worked really hard but I got a B-which I was very happy with! She allows you to retake 2 tests for 1/2 credit and allows your final to replace your lowest test score. Study tests for a good grade on the final. :) Love her!5
Great teacher. I took college algebra with another teacher and had to withdraw because I knew I would fail. With Taylor, the lowest test grade I got was an 88. She is very nice and very clear and is easy to understand. I definitely recommend her!
She really is an amazing teacher!!!! I'm not the best at math but I got through intermediate and college algebra with Professor taylor! she really helps you if you need the help, and she makes sure you know where you are grade wise through-out the semester. she's very understanding and helpful, do the homework, review the reviews, and you'll pass.
Ms. Taylor is amazing. I had to take developmental classes before I took her for Intermediate algebra. I passed with a I took her for college algebra as well. She will take time to help you in office hours and every thing. I LOVE HER! I passed with a b she gives 2 makeup tests out of 4 and your final can replace lowest test grade.
She is great!!! she does whatever she can to help you through her class, she teaches with baby steps. Math is hard, she can only do so much. If you put the time and the effort into the class you will do fine!
She is the nicest professor you will ever meet. She is lenient, understanding, just simply awesome. She drops assignment to help. She takes late assignment as well. She will do whatever to help you in every situation. Highly recommended! Just experience this class yourself. You won't regret!
She is clear with her lectures and does drop a few grades at the end of the year. She also allows you to turn in late work. She does work with the class and student on turning in assignments and is pretty laid back when it comes to due dates in some cases. She also allows test corrections on a few test during the year, not everyone, but a few.
I took Professor Taylor after not having had a math class in over 10 years. I started out a bit rough but I've learned so much over the course of her class and did way better than I expected to. Don't bother buying the book, you won't use it. She is super sweet and really seems to want you to do well in her class, I highly recommend her.
If you dont understand Algebra & want someone who teaches you multiple ways to solve problems in a way best suited for you, take her! She communicates well, a lot of homework but trust me, do it! (I did a hybrid course) I did received A's on all the test thanks to the homework. She replaces one test grade w/ the final & does test corrections
My best math professor by far... Clear grading criteria, she's calm and will help you anytime you need, she know about the topic and explain it very well. I recommend her!
Let's start by saying I hate math. I do however loved this teacher. I had her for a highbrid class. First off the woman clearly just wants you to succeed and understand. She always gives partial credit on the tests so even if your answer is wrong if you show work you get some points. She accepts late assignments, and gives extra credit.
To me she was a good math teacher, I had her on Mondays at 7-8:15 once a week and she's good. I knew a lot of the material because it was like review for me. But if you're not took good at math and need extra help, you can ask her and she's happy to help.
Prof. Taylor is one of the most detailed and easy to understand professors I have ever had. She makes sure you actually know the material. I'm so thankful I took her before Pre-Calculus. She helped me feel very prepared. I would take her for another math class in a heartbeat.
It's algebra, it's a tough class. She's not the most engaging math instructor I've had but she teaches the subject clearly and is there to help if you need it. I'd take her again if I needed to
I had her more intermediate algebra and I love her! If any student has any questions in class she is always willing to do extra problems to help you. she offers extra credit on test. The test were easy if you pay attention and do your homework. Very sweet doesn't yell, doesn't have attitude. She's a great teacher. Helped me a lot.
Do the review sheets and you'll do fine on the tests. that simple.
Shes really nice and kind. The class is a little boring but she makes us understand the material and you can always ask questions. 4 test and final. she dropped 2 lowest lab scores and online homework. although there's a lot of hw she give us AMPLE time and you can redo the question on mymathlab until you get 100% helps your grade.
Professor Taylor knows that math can be difficult for some and always tries her best to simplify things for students. She gives out a LOT of extra credit opportunities and while the tests aren't exactly easy, you'll get at least a B if you put in effort. Her calm teaching style might be boring for some but it is very clear and easy to understand.
Professor Taylor was the kindest woman and was so good at teaching what we needed to know in a simple way that was easy to follow along with and remember.
By far the best college algebra professor ever. She cares about your grade so much. Her lectures are not straight from the textbook. She takes the time to write out her notes on the board with you. Go to class, practice doing homework, and guarantee A in the class. Also she is so sweet and kind.
Professsor Taylor is the best!!!! . She such a gem and is always looking out for her students best interests. Math is not my subject at all but Professor Taylor made me tolerate it and taught me the content so well that I was even shocked. Her teaching is well organized , slowed down and direct making it easy to learn & understand. TAKE HER CLASS
Mrs. Taylor is very sweet and makes learning super easy. She was really good at going through how to do every problem and will explain any questions you have. She gives a lot of time to get the homework done. There are only 4 tests and they all have extra credit on them. I would love to have her as a professor again!
Professor Taylor is a nice woman. She really wants everyone to succeed. I did find it frustrating that she allowed people in class to talk a lot and even on the phone. She has a very lazy attitude with grading and such also and it would take a while to get work back.
This is the best professor I have ever had ! Shes easy on homework and gives ample timers get it done. Tests are never a surprise in her class she states them every day and if you need help she is easy to talk to . As far as lectures go she may go a little fast but she is more than willing to stop and help if some has any problems.
Such a great professor, really sweet, keeps calm at atmosphere in class and makes sure everyone understands. I am absolutely horrible at algebra completely bad but she helped me along and I passed with a B. Really understanding if u can't make it to class, but nonetheless Its a math class so it is hard.
She was honestly such an amazing professor. The classroom setting was new and involved a larger class size, group work, and watching videos outside of class. I was skeptical of this, but it was a great environment to learn in. She was able to get to all of us even though there was 75 students in this class. She's sweet, caring, and great at math.
Professor Taylor is possibly the nicest professor you'll EVER have. She has a quiet, reserved personality and totally respects her students. She gives SOOOO many opportunities for extra credit. The final is cumulative but offers extra credit.
professor Taylor is amazing i used to be really bad at math but she made it really easy. she reviews before every test and you can do test corrections for a higher grade its honestly a hard class to fail. My final grade was an 89.2 but she bumped it up to an A on atlas shes honestly so amazing and nice if youre not the best at math then take her.
Taking classes with Professor Taylor is like learning from your own family. She is so accommodating and she is willing to go over a concept until you understand it. Dont be afraid to ask questions, I forgot some easy things from algebra and needed a refresher so its cool! If you make a habit of attending class and paying attention, you will pass.
Professor Taylor is the kindest professor I have ever had! She is not strict with deadlines, she will work with you. Overall great human being and great teacher!
I was afraid to take a college math class, but from the first day in her course I could tell that it won't be stressful at all. Deadlines are set far ahead in advance, and with the worksheets she grades, she usually goes over any questions you might have before collecting them. I felt like I've learned more math in this one semester than all of HS.
She is a nice professor; however, she is too nice and shy to teach, doesnt feel confident with what she teach and is also a tough grader. I took this class one day a week which I regret (DONT DO IT!) because she tries to accelerate everything and only give 2 or 3 examples of each section and sometimes put things on the test she never even
Isnt too specific when it comes to explaining things. Dont take this class once a week if youre a visual learner. She likes to skip a lot of important topics that we need. Shes really nice and cares but shes also shy.
She gives partial credit and has a youtube page that solves most of your questions if you need clarification and didn't remember or wrote down. She is very nice and slitty shy in my opinion she if pretty lenient with late homework but online homework has no leeway. Your test grades are a do or die situation but the Final is set up to help you.
best math professor I've ever had. Super sweet and is always willing to help. If you fall behind on assignments, she always gives u a chance to catch up. Her notes are super thorough and helpful. She goes over all the worksheets in case you didn't understand something. 11/10 would take again.
YOU WILL NEVER REGRET!There is never anything bad to say about her! I took her for MAC1105 &1140 and hands down the best professor, she is just great at what she does . I received an A in her 1105 class, and even though I am doing pretty bad in 1140 that is my own fault. I will always love Prof. Taylor I wish she taught every math course available!
I think she is a great professor but sometime she assigned project topics that we never covered in class. She will help you, but I just personally feel if you're going to give us an assignment, please cover the topic in class. She is a extremely heavy grader.
Her Class is so AWESOME!!!. Yes, she is shy but REALLY GOOD at what she teaches. if you have questions you can always go to her office. Real gem. She gives you partial credit on the tests question if you didn't do good and you can do what did wrong on the test as extra credit. Awsome Professor!, I will take her for next semester!
Shes okay like shes not bad shes just a little quiet and gives a lot of homework, labs, and tests. There are 4 chapter tests as well as a final for your final grade. However she is really nice, willing to help , and is lenient with late work. As long as you keep up with work and understand the concepts youll be fine.
Awesome Math professor!!! She is really good at teaching math SETP BY STEP!. I am not too good at math, but she always makes it easier for us. There is always extra credit on the tests. Labs are easy and 20% of your grade. Best of all, give you time to do homework. She always is helping me outside of class and is willing to explain it to you again
I love this teacher. She is so sweet and there to help you not fail you, but of course you do have to put in the work. There is a lot of HW and extra credit for tests which I am SO GRATEFUL for. She will give you credit if you show your work on tests. Does Zoom reviews often which are great. Makes herself available to review. positive, encouraging
I would recommend. The mymathlab is a pain so you cant procrastinate on that but it is not always assigned. About 1-2 homeworks a week, usually 10 questions that are easy but must show work. Tests are much different then what is taught but it is not on honorlock. not a ton of tests. also extra credit test corrections n reflections help a ton.
Professor Taylor is an amazing math professor. She makes math very easy and holds zooms 3 times a week for questions or clarification. She is lovely and genuinely cares for her students. She allows test corrections and gives fairly easy assignments to boost your grade. I cannot recommend Professor Taylor enough.
Did it online and I really enjoyed it. Her recorded lectures include plenty of examples and are easy to understand whether you're great at math or need practice. Take notes, crucial for exams. She has optional zoom hours throughout the week if you are struggling and need extra help. Highly recommend her for MAC1105, you won't regret it.
She is by far my favorite professor of my first semester at Valencia. She gives test reviews on zoom that really help, super flexible, test corrections, MyMathLabs. She is always there it help with anything you need. Youll regret not taking her as your College Alg professor.
This class was very light in terms of stress. All homework is on MyMathLab, and the tests can be easy to get through with a few difficult questions at the end. She does grade scratch work, but not heavily. She has office hours every week that you are free to attend via Zoom, and you can pretty much just self-teach in this class.
I would not recommend this professor, She is a very tough grader, and she places topics on your tests that have not been covered in class.
This Professor was very monotone a quiet, but she was good at explaining the work and showing different examples. Lots of video lectures and you go over it a little more in class. The lab connected to her class sucked though. I only got a C in the class because I had a death in the family and fell behind. but I caught back up.
Mrs. Taylor is a good person, she seems like she wants to help and shows herself available. But you will have some LONG homework, and you will have to buy a $100 link that you can't use for other classes. I am not sure if all teachers require that, but just a heads up. Self taught like most online classes, but I used the math center and it helped.
Such a sweet professor! She assigns many HW about each chapter, which was helpful to become skilled in solving the exercises and LEARNING. She grades quickly and provides lectures, notes, and worksheets before tests. A test for every 2 chapters, and you have to upload the scratch paper where you solved the exercises. Optional zoom sessions.
She's absolutely the best math teacher I've ever had. -cares wants you to succeed -mixed mode -online textbook -homework online -videos w/note guides -zoom office hours for help -patient -tests open book/notes -exams closed book/notes -gives partial credit on questions (show your work)
I have been in disbelief the fact that my grade has dropped nothing lower then a 95. Mrs. Taylor has such a heart for teaching and you can tell she genuinely cares. She even took the time to meet privately on zoom to do a little one on one. A very fair grading scale, taking her next semester for College Algebra. TAKE HER.
The best teacher EVER!! Math has always been on the difficult side for me, but she teaches amazingly and I feel like I learned so much. Prof. Taylor is always there to help and offers plenty of extra assistance to make sure we comprehend the subject. I loved taking this class and look forward to having her again next semester!
A very chill professor in my personal opinion. She is very sweet and caring. There are lots of homework to get done but a lot of it is very easy to get done. She is incredibly forgiving about your grade as well .You will almost never use the textbook though, I think it is vital that you rent one, buy a used one, or try to find it at a fair price.
Personality wise she's great but if you're looking for a class that you can take and still have time in your life to do other stuff this isn't for you. She assigns over 60 math questions a week that are all expected to be done back to back. It doesn't feel like I'm being taught the math but how to give the answer that seems correct.
Mrs. Taylor is the best, so personable. I took her for both Int. Algebra and for College Algebra. She is great with feedback and always willing to hop on a zoom to support you. She assigns about 40 problems every week in conjunction to her lecture video and projects, a lot of work but you will learn the material and have every resource you need.
Professor Taylor is a great teacher. Her lectures are very easy to understand, and she has Zoom reviews before every quiz or test. I had to take my Midterm and Final exam in person, but aside from that this course is completely online. She responds to emails quickly and makes sure to help the best she can.
Professor Taylor is one of the best math teachers I have had in a while. She cares for her students and is willing to help you if you reach out to her. Make sure you use her Zoom meetings or office hours as she will go over any questions you have. Also, study the test reviews because it will help you prepare for her tests. Amazing professor!
She is a softspoken and really caring person. Professor Taylor demonstrates concepts and material to the class in an obvious manner so every can fully understand what is happening. Her lectures/notes deserve chef kisses all around. She assigns worksheets that can be done in 1 day. Her HW is short and simple. She allows for test corrections too. :)
Professor Michelle Taylor does a very good job explaining the concepts and target points of college algebra. I took her for two semesters as a mixed mode student and her style of teaching is amazing. It's always easy to understand and she does plenty of reviews. The quizzes are something I don't dread because they are open notes and very helpful.
I am so terrible at math so I only passed algebra because of this professor. The assignments were online math questions on Pearson, worksheets, and these things called "projects".Her quizzes were open note but finals were in person. If you do all the assignments, you can pass while failing the midterm and final. And she let you do test corrections.
Prof Taylor is very sweet, you can tell this by the way she talks and acts! She is very caring. Online hw are due every test day, in person worsheets have their own due dates, all test and final have bonus question for extra credit. Test and zoom reviews happen before every test. Worklaod is very chill. Take her now and you wont regret it.
My experience with this professor is not great. When I reached out to her I would either get no response or a very short one. I never received my final exam back to see what I got wrong and why which was very frustrating since it was handwritten and hand graded. I did well on all of the homework and assignments, but tests were always more difficult
If you guys are scared of taking an online course because you feel like you have to teach yourselves, trust me that wont be the case with Professor Taylor. She is very clear so nice and understanding. I had some things come through out the semester and she was very understanding. Theres 4 quizzes which arent hard. Just study and youll be fine.
She is a very good math professor. Her online content is very easy to follow. I jut wish she taught Cal 1 and 2. She breaks things down step by step which I liked lol.
She provides short youtube lectures that are easy to understand with worksheets that go along with them. There are 4 online quizzes, and an in-person midterm and final. She also does zoom reviews prior to quizzes and exams. She's caring and provides everything you need to succeed. Questions are on the easier side. Exams have some previous quiz q's.
Theres a lot of HW. She gives out worksheets and practices problems, it can be a lot of work but I feel like it helped me learn a lot and understand the material. I think the lecture videos are pretty straightfoward. There are 4 progress quizzes (plus midterm and final). Overall, TAKE HER, she makes math easy.
Idk, maybe it's because I took it as a mixed-mode course. This was also my first semester... I am NOT good with math and I feel like if you aren't good with learning on your own, this is a pretty tough class. She was an okay teacher but again, you pretty much have to learn on your own. I was close to passing but the final messed me up :(
Professor Taylor has a clear teaching style that makes college algebra manageable, even for math-averse students. The online assignments and open-note quizzes help, plus Unstuck study was a lifesaver for study prep.
I forgot to do this last semester, but I'm doing the review now. I'm actually taking her again for another class cause I like her so much lol. In highschool I would fail math but with her class I actually understand what's going on and was able to get a B. She's very sweet snd understanding, but I like her notes cause theyre lile very thorough.
Professor Taylor genuinely cares about her students and wants them to do well, which honestly made a huge difference for me. You can tell she's passionate about teaching and patient with her students. I would 100% recommend taking her class. If you put in the effort, she'll meet you halfway and make sure you're supported the whole way through.
LOVE PROFESSOR TAYLOR, I never truly understood math until I took her classes (1033, 1105, and 1140). Very clear in what is expected of you during lectures, always available to answer questions, and Youtube Videos to review. Pearson Homework, Worksheets, with 5-6 Quizzes/Tests Total. She will remember you and even as you continue with math courses
TAKE THIS TEACHER FOR ALL YOUR MATH CLASSES IF POSSIBLE. She is by far the best math teacher Ive had, she makes concepts so SIMPLE to understand. The people who are giving her bad reviews either don't ever study or skipped classes. She is very caring and will make sure you understand whats going on and her tests are very very very straightforward.
I'm halfway into this professors course. 3 quizzes & 1 final exam. 10 questions each quiz same for final but 5 bonus questions. My Pearson needs to be done every week and 1 worksheet every week in class. NO OPEN NOTE QUIZ OR FINAL EXAM. If you basically want to learn a majority of everything on your own, go for it. There are easier math professors.
She's an excellent math teacher! All was taught through videos that she recorded. If you have any questions, she's really easy to reach. It does use Pearson's and there is homework every week, but that's normal for any math class. Her quizzes are on Canvas, and it's only like 10 questions. Would recommend taking her online
Please take this professor! Her lectures are so easy to understand and she's willing to help you, hw assignments are fairly easy, and she does allow 1 out of the 3 test to get test corrections, attendance does matter in this class, it's difficult to fail her class! I have taken her for college algebra and pre-calc
Great teacher, makes canvas navigation easy. The material is very self explanatory, she is available for zoom calls, 2 assignments per week, quizzes without honorlock.
Professor Taylor is an amazing and caring teacher. She explains math clearly, is always patient, and genuinely wants her students to succeed. She makes learning enjoyable and encourages everyone to do their best. One of the most supportive and dedicated professors I've ever had!
three quizzes that were essentially the tests and she allows test corrections on one for EC. is very understanding if you're late and just very caring overall. were online hw assignments but she pushed the dates back if there were difficulties. a final exam, and 5 bonus questions. overall, great!
Professor Taylor is amazing! The class is lecture based, but Professor Taylor is very good at conveying information clearly and providing lots of examples. She responds to emails very quickly, is a very fast grader, is more than willing to work outside of class with you, gives chances to work during class, and is overall a very nice person.
