Intro to Corrections was a good class, Michelle is a good teacher. You do one big project, a few small EASY assignments and a few tests. It is easy and interesting.

NO she is not hot! But! if you are a CJ major than this is your class it is hard but if you are going to be cop looking for the easy way in not an option.

She is a great teacher. She clarifies things with humorous stories from her personal life. She has actually worked as a cop so she knows what she's talking about. You have to read and take a test on a book, but taking her class is worth it.

Her experience and knowledge are very helpful. And the SILC program is great.

She is a good teacher.You do take a lot of notes. the book test is easy.(if you read it).When she says the course is an "easy a", she means it. Just do the work, and you'll be ok.

Michelle is a great teacher and gives great lectures; her stories are based on her experiences, so that makes it more interesting. You'll have to study for this class, but it's worth it because you'll definitely learn something!

Fun teacher, has a sense of humor. A lot of note taking, but gives it in outline form so its organized well. A lot of reading and a few papers to do, not bad though if you study. Definately learn things in her class. Wish she would teach other classes.

Whitaker is definitely one of the best professors at Delta. There's alot of notes in her class but she gives them during the 3 hours so it isn't constant writing. Also, she gives u most of the homework assignments in advance so you can turn them in early for extra credit. And her assignments are definitely not hard. Take her classes!!!!

Michelle Whitaker has been one of my favorite instructors here at Delta. She keeps the subject matter very interesting. Her lectures are great. She always has funny stories to share with the class. She has a wonderful sense of humor. Delta is lucky to have her.

Ms.Whitaker is an AMAZING teacher. She as experienced pretty much all that she teaches and truly has a passion for criminal justice. She is ALWAYS wiilling to help you out and help you understand things. She also stands by her words. if she says pop quizes she WILL give them. She isnt very hard but does have high expectations for her students!

This class was interesting and not hard if you did all the assigments and had good attendance.Prof. Whitaker is a great instructor. She holds her classes to workplace standards,so if you are a slacker this is not the instructor for you.

Michele is extremely organized. There is absolutely NO guesswork to what she is looking for in regards to class requirements. If you are literate and put an extra effort in, she rewards with extra credit accordingly. With her extensive background in corrections/criminal justice, there is nothing to lose, but all to gain by taking her classes!!!!

When someone tells you she's the writing Nazi, believe them. She is a great teacher but tough on papers in her class than any English professor I ever had. She is very helpful and knows her subject. She has some great stories which makes the class and material more interesting. I do recommend her if you really want a great teacher and to leave her

I loved taking Michelle's class. I had her several years ago for intro cj and she still is funny and a great instructor. She is fair and firm with guidelines and if you fail her class it would be your own fault because it is so easy to maintain an A.

A lot of information. Shows some pretty eye opening movies and shares a lot of tramatizing stories. You will be busy in this class. You always have work to do. You better study for exams. You can tell she loves criminal justice and she is very good at teaching intro criminal justice.

great teacher, great class, you will have to put forth some effort but can easily complete all assignments at beginning of semester. she is a great teacher, knows what she is talking about. take the notes, actually study a bit what she suggests and you should pass no problem. definitely reccommend her, you will learn alot n have fun!

I really loved this class. Michelle is a really great teacher. She also has a great amount of experience! She can tell some interesting stories sometimes. She isn't the easiest teacher and she grades your papers hard. But if you come to class and take the notes and read the book then you should be fine! I would take her again if i had the chance!

Great teacher, she truly loves what she does. She treats the students like adults and holds them accountable. She will step on toes to make sure you succeed. All in all, I would take her every chance I can get. Lots of paper work but its all relevant.

My favorite professor I've had at Delta so far. An extremely intelligent and intriguing lady, she's never failed to impress me. Her lecture style is entertaining and she's very good at what she does.

Great teacher. I would take her again in a heartbeat. Deffinetly an easy A. So many opportunities for extra credit, and she has very interesting "war stories" There are quite a few papers and homework assignments, but there all super easy. The ones that require the most attention are the interview papers. but there fun, and you learn alot.

Wonderful teacher. Demanding - she expects you to do the work and is very firm about it. Gives you xtra credit opportunities. Makes the subject more interesting with real life stories. Did not find the class too hard as long as I took notes & read the assigned reading. Would most definitely take again!

Great teacher! Not an easy A but you just have to put in some effort. I learned more in this class than a whole semesters worth of classes but it's a good thing! She's very good at what she does and highly recommend her if you're serious about Criminal Justice. Everything you need to know is in the course pack there are no surprises.

She really intrigued me with this field. I just switched to criminal justice not sure of what to expect, and she made me fall in love with it,... but I can't really tell you why? Bottom line is I highly recommend her. Very good instructor.

I didn't like her at first, but she turned out to be amazing. Long evening classes are tough, but this one wasn't bad. Wonderful lectures and fun assignments which really help you learn. Gives pop quizzes, but they are very easy if you study. Lots of extra credit opportunities, I don't know how can anyone NOT pass this class.

She gives a lot of amazing lectures with real life stories and experiences. she cares about her students, and not afraid to speak her mind or shoot you with a nurf gun if you nod off. She is very inspirational, book is necessary, pop quizzes on the chapter the next week. That was the biggest downfall in the class, I did not get very much from that.

She lectures every day and gives quizzes almost every day to cover the reading material. They aren't too bad as long as your pay attention and actively participate in the class. She is an amazing professor and is honest with grading your assignments.

Shes a great professor and extremely respectable. She expects you to do your best. Gives extra credit on EVERYTHING. As long as you pay attention, you wont have a problem passing!

She knows how to have fun but also knows to take class seriously.

Ms. Whitaker was hands down one of the best professors I've taken at Delta. Cares about you learning, will make sure you don't cheat, but gives every opportunity for you to work ahead and earn extra credit. Don't skip class if you want to pass, and do your work ahead of time. I passed with over 100% in her class.

Wonderful professor. Prepares you well for tests and papers. Very easy A. Tons of extra credit opportunity. Very passionate about topic. Also, she shares her experience regarding CJ, which are interesting. Some cons: must show up on time, lots of homework, although most are faily easy and simple, lots of quizzes over readings (which are online).

her first post can seem intimidating,dont drop its not as hard as she makes it seem. 4 discussion boards have word counts. 2 career papers go interview career youre interested in. 3 exams times. weekly focus assignments. always go deeper into thought she loves long answers. gives alot of extra credit, find her errors,use pcitures on papers&HW

Whitaker gives the best lectures EVER. She very dramatically acts out examples and most of those are burned into my memory now. Check over assignments & their checklists multiple times before turning anything in, the returned grades will be in your favor. A lot of material gets repeated, I assume so that also burns into your brain (it did for me).

Loads of extra credit if you do quality work! I would highly recommend. Take good notes, and you will do great.

Extra credit options galore. If you make any effort, youll succeed. There is a lot of assigned material and homework, but the requirements are clear so getting a good grade is easy. Be prepared to spend time on this class, it will be rewarded. Youll learn a lot, and she makes the class fun. I would totally recommend her.

I took Mrs. Whitaker for three classes this semester! She is a amazing professor! There is quite a bit of time you have to put into her classes, but she is very generous with extra credit, and she makes the classes interesting. She is the best teacher I've ever had at Delta and I will have her again twice next semester!

She's great and I loved her personality.

I am not planning to go into Crim, but I took this class because I was interested. My first week I failed my first paper and quiz, but that was because I didn't put in much time. Be ready to watch videos, and put in 3-4 hours a week. I actually ended up loving this class and Prof. Whitaker. And I don't normally do well in school.

She is by far my favorite professor! I dislike college classes in general, but she made class so fun and interesting. Not only is she very funny, she is knowledgeable and speaks on her own life experiences. She goes above and beyond and gives great feedback. Also, there are many opportunities for extra credit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 1,000/10!

She offers TONS of extra credit opportunities. However, she is SUPER strict about making sure you view all of the materials for a certain amount of time. I would print out the handouts, so I only viewed them a short amount of time and she marked points off of my effort and participation grade.

Cj 110 with Whitaker was a super easy course! I received an A in her class. How she set up her eLearning its very easy for you to understand & grasped the information each week. If you actually pay attention to her lectures, handouts, & required videos its super easy to get an A in this class. She doesnt accept late work for any circumstance!

Loved how much extra credit was given on the assignments. Even if I got points off on the tests, I could make it back up through quality points on my paper. Definitely committing more than 7 hours a week and lots of personal work time.

A little bit hard to understand at first. Little bit frustrating. But after the first week, everything starts to make sense. All the stories and assignments are very engaging. Love this class!

She was great! I took her CJ class, so I already had experience with her. It is a learning curve that requires just getting used to our discussion. I am super opinionated, so I struggled a bit with the course itself, but overall, it was great. I did lose points on several assignments because I speak/write in British English. Overall she's great.

Very good experience. There are plenty of options to earn extra credit in the class, and if you don't totally slack off, you should pass relatively easily. The workload is reasonable. I took the class online and everything went smoothly. Great experience, great professor.

Took this class as a senior in high school, managed the workload pretty well. As long as you have the common sense to read instructions and can get the work done on time, you'll be fine. Just take lots of notes
