Excellent teacher. Notes are passed out and done in powerpoint. Labs are fun, but study for those tests, they can be tough. Overall, Michelle is a very sweet person with a intense knowledge of the subject.

omg. michelle is so awesome. she is really cool, helps you with everything. the class is supposed to be 2hr. 40 min. but we usually get out after not even 2hr. you take notes, already prepared fill in the blanks, for half the class. the rest is a lab. ur done ur gone. she'll help u with everything, and she makes classes really fun. the tests are kind of difficult but they're department so u'll take them in any class, so it's good to at least get a good teacher. overall awesome so just take her.

Very good teacher. If you do the objectives the class is easy. She is always willing to answer questions and help you. She is very energetic and motivated to teach. I have taken her twice now and she's the best! No book and you pick your own groups and can change them whenevr you want.

Fantastic teacher who makes the class extremely intersting with very easy work. Her notes are in a book she makes herself and you dont' even use the text book. The information is presented clearly and easily and for test time you will get a good grade. Every test this semester the class average was 83 but most times 8+ got A's

Great for both 111 and 112. This class was amazing...I came from a big lecture atmosphere science class to a summer class with less than 50 people. The class is not that bad as long as you study the notes she gives you! Lab grade really helps out too!

Shes full of interesting facts that relate to the topic your on as well as relating to your life in some way. the tests can be hard but if you study you should do fine. The notebook is really helpful. Also, the bioflix and the inclass participation with the clickers is really useful and helpful.

Took this class on the internet. Michelle was very helpful! I used lecture notes so I did not have to buy the book. The Lecture notes were more than enough. If you take BIO111 at MVCC make sure you take Michelle. She make BIO able to be understood.

One of my favorite teachers yet.she definitely explains everything very well and you can tell she is happy at what she does. She gives you theses study guides called objectives and if you do them you get +3 points extra credit plus they're basically the exam. Very helpful. She prefers most things emailed which is nice. I have an internet hybrid class with Zurawski, and im going to tell u; SHE IS THE MOST ORGANIZED TEACHER I EVER HAD! Shes a brillant teacher, nice, funny, and not stuck up. She loves what she does and is just plain friendly. Shes a fair teacher but just make sure you get ur work done.

I took an online hybrid class with meetings only for labs. She helped out and provided enough work to practice. The tests were fair and she was always willing to help. Biology is hard work but this teacher is one of the better teachers at this school.

Prof. Z is the best teacher that I have had at Moraine thus far. Science is not my thing, but she was so helpful. The course outline was clear, what is expected was clear, she is quick to respond to e-mails, gets grades back quickly. I recommend her 100%. I would not have done as well in this class if not for her.

Prof Z is the best, very helpufl! The objectives are key, not only do you get extra credit for them, but they are basically the exams. The on-line homework has animation which really helps visualize the concepts. Her printed notes help you focus on lecture while just filling in the blanks with key words. You will learn a lot and have fun.

Professor Zurawski not only exhibits excellence in education, but has a mastery of the material, and is incredibly kind to boot. Don't let me mislead you though. Professor Z was hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. I took her Bio 112 hybrid class in the summer pre-session and she was excellent! It was a fast paced class but she opened the course atleast one month early to let you get a head start. Coming from a big university it was nice to have a teacher who took the time to care about you!

Her lectures are interesting and she makes sure you understand the topic. I wish she was offering 112 because I'd be the first to sign up! I personally did not use the textbook because most of the answers for the homework was in the notebook. Also mastering biology really helped. Her grades come from guided reading (1 per chapter)mastering, &tests

The first time I have ever taken a Hybrid class, I'm glad it was with her, she didn't make things harder. Be sure to go to every lab. Its a lot of work but manageable, she is helpful and caring, don't be afraid to ask questions.

There is plenty of extra credit offered and *cough* quizlet will help you A LOT on online assignments. Just put forward a thoughtful effort.

also took 4 week class. prof z is awesome. everything is so clear. great class. a full semester course in 4 week so of course you are going to work hard. what else would you expect. lots of annoying and immature students in this class. it was so funny to see the idiots get in trouble with prof z. shes legit.

I took Zurawski for Fall Semester 2019 online Hybrid class. She is awesome! The course schedule is clear. There are due dates each week for labs and some assig. If you're a procrastinator don't take it you work well by yourself take it. She is always easy to reach and offers ALOT of extra credit. It's a pricey class but I got the grade I wanted.

Mrs. Zurawski is the best professor! She gives you extra credit to boost your grade and she even offers to help you individually. She's hilarious and fun and she genuinely cares for her students. I would honestly take her again!

Best online class at Moraine Valley! This professor is awesome, she is very organized and helpful. She gives very clear instructions to help you understand the material. The course is a little homework heavy, but her instructions and power-points make it easy. I recommend this professor!

prof z is so inspiring. she really wants you to "be excellent" haha - you will get this if you take her. lots of motivational speeches and you can tell she really cares. gives lots of tips for studying that really work. her lectures are the best i have ever had. she is super smart, funny, nice, and always available and willing to help. LOVE HER

I freakin loved her. She is so friendly and open to helping students. Plenty of e.c. opportunities, labs are pretty basic and easy. One thing tho, her study guides barely help you for tests, but if you take her hybrid class, tests & quizzes are online and you can just google the questions/answers.

such a cool teacher, she does not care if you turn in your labs late, and honestly, the only kids who gave her bad reviews were probably disrespectful to her which she won't take

Everything is easy as long as you read. Quizzes and tests are straight forward. Prof. is very helpful and always gives feedback. Very fair grader. There are many assignments but none are extremely time consuming. Labs are actually pretty fun.

A great professor. I personally am not a huge science fan, but her class was very organized and simple. As long as you do the assignments, she is an easy grader and also very lenient with late work. Her quizzes/tests are also pretty short and we were allowed to use the book. Homework counts for most of the grade, but it never takes long to do.

Professor Z is an amazing professor. She really cares and feels for her students. Shes so understanding and easy going and accepts late work. She does have tests which need studying but with all the labs and extra credits, youll pass the class with no less than a B !! I would definitely take her again in the future :)

Surprisingly great class. Thought it would be boring but class was actually interesting. I'm surprised how much I learned. Have to study for tests, but rest of the work is actually fun and a bit every day. Thought the labs would suck, but they were interesting too. Start early some are long. Prof. Z grades hard but fair. Organized class.

Great professor. Exams are response questions and on honor lock but you can use your book and notes which help greatly. Lots of labs but as long as you do them you will get an A. Professor Zurawski gives great feedback and most of the topics are fun to learn about.

Professor Zurawski really wants to prepare you to be a pharmacist. She teaches you how to study and expects you to work hard. If you think that a biology major class will be easy then you are not so bright. Of course there will be lots of work and you have to study. She gives you everything you need. Just work hard and it will be an easy A.

Professor Zurawski was honestly the best teacher I've had in Moraine Valley. She is very caring and kind, and truly wants to see students succeed. She is very accessible outside of class, and very helpful if you are ever confused (I took the hybrid course, mostly online, sometimes in person). Truly demonstrates what a Professor is supposed to be.

Professor Zurawski was great. Her class was pretty easy, just do the study guide objectives and actually understand the info (which is honestly pretty simple stuff) and you will do amazing. She gives so much extra credit so take advantage of that!!!!

Theis available for you when you don't. Give so much extra credit that even when you don't do so well in one thing it barely affects your grade. She's a very lenient grader. Show that you tried and learned something and she gives full credit. would take more classes

Honestly the best BIO prof. at moraine. She has no tolerance for cheating or disrespect so don't try it. If you need help just ask her. She really cares about you and wants u to do good. Studying for exams is a must. Labs are crystal clear and she is willing to answer any questions u have. A lot of extra credit to boost ur grade after a test.

She is such a great professor coming from someone who struggles in bio I could've failed but she helped me so much and allowed me to fix all my homework assignments. Her exams can be a little tough, but just study and you will be fine. She is very kind wish I can take her for all my BIO classes. Take her class you wont be disappointed I swear.

Professor Zurawski is super nice and responds to emails pretty fast. Always there to help out students with any questions they might have. Put in effort and it should be impossible to get a bad grade. Very interesting topics to learn about which makes this class pretty fun. Study guides help a lot on tests.

She gave us a textbook that was free online but you honestly never needed it b/c of the notebooks we had to buy (they were very helpful & had everything we needed)

Probably one of the best professors out there she cares about her students, and knows how to teach. If you miss a day she posts her lectures on YouTube where you can catch up she does assign a weekly discussion post but they are not difficult at all. She also gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. Her exams are just like her study guides.

Professor Zurawski is one of the best teachers I've had at Moraine. Though some of her criteria might be confusing at first and her lectures can occasionally come across as a little preachy, she always finds ways to draw your attention and keep you driven and invested in the topic at hand. Plus, she very clearly cares about her students.

Very flexible and willing to work with students. I didn't even know we had a textbook as her lectures, labs, and unit discussions will cover everything that will be on her exams. She provides a notes notebook that go along with her lectures which helps you learn so much better. She made me like bio again, after having a terrible prof last semester

This class was a little hard, it was a lot of work for a 101 class in my opinion, information that I feel should be for someone degree focused in science, nurse, etc. Though a lot of work she gives you everything you need and provides extra credit. I rented the book but you honestly can get by without it, she has a PDF book but I did not like it.

Great professor. Took this over the summer and it was an online 8-week course and it flew by. It is graded mostly on assignments and four major tests however they are open notes and if you follow the study guide you will pass with an A. They get back to you in a timely manner and are very flexible when turning things in late. communication is key.

THE BEST professor ever! Professor Z is highly knowledgeable, extremely enthusiastic, really funny, and cares so much about her students. I have never had a professor who really wants her students to succeed. I became a much better student due to her constant encouragement to study the right way - "train for the exams". Take her. Prof. Zurawski is a great teacher, not just for biology but for school in general and is constantly keeping in touch with you and your progress in her class. However, some of the test material is not covered on the study guide or in the provided textbook, and she can take some time to respond to emails.

I took professor Zurawski for BIO 112. The lectures felt really long but the labs were fun and flew by quickly. She has such an amazing personality. She is always there to help you. The exams can seem tough but once you get used to her exam style they are not too bad. I would def recommend taking her classes.

I was entirely terrified of taking this class, but Prof Zurawski made it very easy for me. All textbooks and necessary books were given to you for free via Canvas, so no cost after enrolling in the class. Always helpful if you need it. I made mistakes (like forgetting to take a pic of my lab) and she was super understanding.

It's passed midsemester and my grades at a 98% the exams are exactly like the study guide and her assignments + lab points help boost your grade a lot! her lectures are very interesting, I never thought I'd be interested in learning about photosynthesis till she lectured it lolll. I am terrible at science, but Prof Zurawski made it so much better. Assignments were fun and she was so sweet. Even though I didn't do great on the tests, the extra credit helped me maintain my A in the course. I couldn't have asked for a better BIO101 teacher.

She's a great professor who really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. You're only graded on exams, objectives, and labs. She gives 3 extra credit points for each exam. With practicals, if you get anything wrong she allows you to go back and fix any errors. She's a tough grader when it comes to labs though.

Professor Z is an amazing teacher - passionate, engaging, and genuinely cares about student success. Exams are fair with study guides, and labs are fun. Using unstuck AI and the class notebooks makes this class manageable.

Prof. Zurowski is by far one of the sweetest teachers at Moraine. You can get away with not doing the best on a few practicals and tests and pass with an A as long as you get on track. The only thing that you'll struggle in with this class is the objectives because they take so much time so try to do it gradually. Labs are very easy and a fs A.

What an amazing teacher, she made the studying so easy for me personally. I loved the labs such a fun class you should definitely take her if considering.

You have to work in this class, don't get me wrong, but it seriously isn't as much as you think it is. If you just sit down and get it done ahead of time, you will have the EASIEST time. Amazingly lenient grader and all of the exams are open note (even if you have to use honorlock). I hate science, and I honestly loved this class. TAKE IT ONLINE!!!

This was the most organized online class. Professor Zurawski is so nice and responds quickly. At first you think the class is going to be a lot of work but if you follow the due dates it isn't bad at all and you can work ahead which was helpful since I also work full time and have kids. I would have dropped this class and quit college if it wasn't for Professor Zurawski. Before the class even started she spent about 10 hours late at night with me through video chat showing me where everything was because I was terrified. She convinced me I could do this when I did not believe in myself. She is a blessing. I even got an A.

Lectures are easy to understand and she gives good feedback. The honors class might sound scary but with her it isnt at all, its actually fun.

She is an angel!! Truly! If you forget to answer a question on lab work, she will return it so you can fix it and hand it back! Lenient with lab due dates. Her strictness is balanced, which fosters a great learning process. She is enthusiastic about teaching every day and really loves biology, and this sets her apart from other professors.

Her lectures are structured so that if you show up you will have all the content on the test. She is witty, funny, and kind. The passion for her job is evident. Her explanations are clear and not muddled by the complexity of the field. Ex. This is how XYZ works. There are other components to X, like A and B, but for now, focus on XYZ.
