she is a good teacher. if you do your work and practice, it's not so bad. just practice.

I really liked this class, but found that if you did not agree with the teacher on her opinions goodbye it's all over with. She does have her favorites! Very immature for a teacher.

She is one of the excellent teachers who I have ever taken. Her lecture is really cristal! Although she gives students a lot of assignments, you will succeed in this class by doing them. Also, she gives several extra credits. Do them, and you will get A or at least B!

This teacher is amazing. you can tell she really in to her teachings. A tad bit of a smart ass but who isnt. But then again im like that so thats prolly why we got a long so well. Theres no favorites theres no kiss ass you either do the work or you dont. VERY easy there shouldnt be a reason for not getting an A in her class

Awesome professor. Micherri tells everything like it is with no ****. She brings out the agressiveness of even the most shy person, and she really gets across the content of the class. I NEVER practiced, did barely any research, showed up only about 70 percent of the time, and still got an A. This class is very easy - just do the work!

She is a really really good teacher. A lot of fun to be around and fits right in. Teaches very well. I didn't wnat to miss a class of hers because it was so fun. Speeches were nerve racking however she gives PLENTY of time to study and prepare them. HIGHLY recommend her!

If you are planning on taking Mrs. Wiggs speech class, I want you to do ONE important thing for YOURSELF. Look on the calandar to see if elcetions (i.e.: govenor, president,etc) are going to take place while you are in her class. If so, don't take her class until elections are over. Just trust me on this one. You'll thank me later.

PROF. WIGGS WAS A GOOD TEACHER BUT HER CLASS WAS REALLY HARD. YOU HAVE TO READ A TON OUTSIDE OF CLASS TO UNDERSTAND CAUSE SHE JUST BARELY TALKS ABOUT THE LESSON AND EXPECTS YOU TO KNOW FROM THE BOOK. She is a very good teacher. She's realistic and nice. She never makes anyone feel dumb or embarrased. But, you do have to do a lot of work and be on time to class. She gives daily quizes often on what should have been read (b/c we dont go over the text in class) and on current events. You'll learn a lot!

People that say she's hard are just lazy as hell. Her work isn't hard per se, but it definitely isn't a piece of cake either. She really cares for her students on a personal level and wants you to succeed. Speeches are difficult in the sense that they take a while to prepare, but it's so worth it when you deliver them.

Ms.Wiggs was K00l and I thrououghly enjoyed her class, and at times her class was actually fun.

Worked with you not against you. I do not care for speech at all, but I did the work and gave her my best effort and it paid off with an A. Mrs. Wiggs is very approachable and always makes herself available. She is tough and gives alot of work, but she is fair. It irritates me to see others talking smack because I observed none of those actions.

i love how ur barely thinking of a question and liek she reads your mind and asnwers it right there. shes very helpful and available all the time. yes its hard and intense u have to keep up i donno how i passed lol dont miss a SPEECH (never)

Mrs. Wiggs is a cool teacher. She's very fair, and assigns very little homework, if she does it's really small. She's easy to get ahold of, and responds almost immediately. She wants her students to do well, so she works with you. Take her, if you have a choice.

I am a better public speaker because of Mrs.Wiggs, it was a great class. However, I gave a low clarity rating because she doesn't remember her own instructions and so she ended up taking points off my assignments and stuff, Even though she said it herself!! it was kind of annoying, but overall great class-- Just do the work, you will be fine!

Great teacher. If you listen in class and do exactly as she says you will get a A. All you have to do is practice your speeches before class. She shows you examples in class of what not to do during a speech. Pay attention and you will be fine.

Took her interpersonal communications class. Was absolutely awesome. Definitely not a class you are going to fall asleep in. She is upbeat and keeps things interesting. I will be taking speech 1 next semester but only if I can get in her class for it!

Although I received a B in her class, and was therefore a little disappointed, I really respect this teacher. I think our class was a little too harsh on her. She has a well-formulated plan all laid out in order for you to become a better speaker. This plan may not be clear to you at first, but it works. I can honestly say I'm a better speaker!!

i took wiggs for speech-9..i loved her class because she made it very interesting. she gives daily quizzes but there easy and based on the notes that we take in class. her exams arent hard as long as u study..i ended up passing the class with a B, although i would to take her again!

took her class it was pretty easy!she expects u to be on time,attend class,& read the book.i barely read it but id advise you do!I received a C its passing but thats what u get if u dont read the book!she writes alot of notes which is helpful on daily quizes & tests.she doesnt really have a grading system but if u turn in your work u'll be fine!

I thought she was a very enjoyable teacher. She has an odd grading style but I learned alot in her class and am looking forward to taking her for speech 9 in the spring. You must attend class and read the textbook. Do not procrastinate for your speeches and be creative. If you're lazy don't bother taking the class

I took her speech 9 class last year, and she was absolutely amazing. She is passionate about her subject, and it shows! She is very helpful, and her lectures are very informative, and easy to grasp. I highly recommend any of her classes. Great Professor!

What a great teacher! I took her class in the winter and still got an A. It wasn't super easy, I definitely had to work for my grade, but it wasn't super hard either. She was incredibly helpful and clear on what she wanted. As long as you attend and do what you're supposed to, you'll pass with no problems! It is a true college class.

Favorite teacher at RCC, she actually really gets to know and cares about each of her students. Never had a more helpful or caring professor, her classes aren't easy but they are do-able. Always there to help students & good sense of humor.

Overall, she was a good teacher. You definitely can't slack off, nor is it an easy A, i worked hard for mine. However, she tells you exactly what she wants and as long as you do your speeches exactly by the rubric, you'll pass the class. I liked it, but i wouldn't do it again just because i don't particularly enjoy public speaking.

I absolutely loved this class! I was so afraid of public speaking but after taking this class I am now more confident in my ability to preform a well speech. I recommend this teacher if you really want to learn! Don't slack off and do all the work and you'll be okay .Over all she's one of my favorite teachers at RCC.

This is not a easy teacher. The subject matter seems pretty easy but the way she teaches can be difficult to understand. She's a very nice lady, just a cuff teacher. Mini quizzes every week, you have to take notes from the text, two midterms and a final, no study guide. BE prepared to work. I'm a hard working student and this class really pushed me

She's nice, chill, & pretty funny. She goes over the entire CH's & makes sure the class is on track. Too much unnecessary work is given in order to pass the class. She grades by percentages which makes it hard to keep track of your grade. You have to write about yourself a lot, which is boring. Notes are due every week. Quiz answers are online.

Ms. Wiggs was awesome! As long as you stay on track with the reading/notes she assigns, complete the homework, and come to class ready to learn you will have no trouble getting an A in this class. This class was the first class I took in college after being out of high school for 4 years and I had absolutely no trouble passing her class with an A.

You will never find another professor that cares more about your education and success. She constantly presses for you to be the best you can be. She also explains things in their simplest form so that everyone can understand what is going on. Best com. teacher ever.

She's awesome! The class isn't hard. You just have to do the work. Make SURE you do all of the notes for the chapters. You can look online for outlines and quizzes that she gives at the end of the chapters. The best part is that she tells you stories about how the stuff works in real life. She teaches a "simple" topic of communications, but as you'll learn it is far from simple. It's actually mind blowing how complicated communication really is and Mrs. Wiggs does an incredible job of opening ones mind of how speaking a certain way directly affects your life. I would take any class from her.

She can appear to be mean and tough but she is a sweet heart. I took her winter semester and I wanted to drop the class the first day. I decided to stay and it was the best decision I have ever made. Actually challenged me and improved my public speaking skills. Cares for her students and pushes you a lot. Can be overwhelming if you don't focus.

Micherri was a phenomenal teacher! I took her for COM 9 in spring semester. There are a lot of assignments but they're very short (5-10 minutes) and are usually about you, which makes them extra easy. There are two midterms and a final as well as three projects but everything is very doable. If I was a COM major, I'd never take a different teacher

Professor Wiggs is great and wishes the very best for her students. She gives great feedback in order to get you to where you need to be. Definitely one of my top professors.

Great professor! But be forewarned: she is strict and she is challenging. Expect to live that "3 hours of work per unit of class" rule for the entire semester. She assigns a lot of work for the course, but I truly don't regret doing any of it, as I learned so much about myself and others over the semester. Take her and get ready to learn!

Professor Wiggs is literally one of the most incredible professors on the planet. Yes, there will be quite a bit of projects, homework, and reading BUT you learn so much about yourself and communicating with other people. You know how a good parent does what is best for their kids even if they hate them for it? That parent is Mrs. Wiggs. For her public speaking class she assigns topic sheets, annotated bibliographies, and speech outlines to prepare you to speak both alone and as a group, with an essay-type "reflection" after each speech. A life-changing course.

she is hard, and expects alot out of her students. i took the hybrid,and uhhh yeah wouldn't do that again. she was fair and genuinely a good teacher. but group work matters.

She is super caring. She wants you to actually succeed and puts her time aside to help you out. Although the class is mostly online, when face to face, she gives you everything you need to succeed. And who can be mad at only 3 actual speeches to do. She made the class fun and interactive and this will help me continue in my major

This woman!! I love Professor Wiggs! She honestly changed my life. I hear people saying she's mean, but she cares so much about her students. Theres a difference between not taking crap and being mean. She will go above and beyond for you! Several semesters later, I still say hi to her in her office because I have so much respect for her. Wiggs teaches you life skills. She is intense, yes, as she even calls herself "The Nutty Professor", but this woman has a deep interest in seeing her student grow. And she is no frills, she will communicate with you exactly what needs to be done, even though she can be all over the place sometimes, but overall nothing but good vibes/ deep learning.

loved this professor, there is a lot of work but it is easy & manageable for the most part. she is a little intimidating and strict and says things how they are, but she cares about her students so much and tries to get to know everyone. You will pass if you're willing to do the work and go to every class. Be ready to get deep and personal.

Ok, so Proff Wiggs is cool. However, she does give a lot of work, there are weekly chapter quizes, overall a lot of work! She will help if you ask for help. She's funny, and lovely. Honestly, if you're not up for doing the work, just don't take the class.

Wiggs knows that public speaking is scary, in fact, she told us it is completely weird to NOT be nervous. She might seem intimidating but she genuinely cares for you. I went to see her multiple times to talk about my speeches and she was always so welcoming/helpful. Com1 changed my life, and Wiggs deserves all the credit. Please take this course!

Taken in summer, Wiggs is a great teacher! Does provide a significant amount of work. Exceptional when it comes to communicating with her students. Provides good feedback. Many quizzes, three exams, 2 projects, 2 essays, An interview, but well structured. Make sure to check all dates Is forgiving for late assignments. Alot to teach and learn.

Great teacher. Very straight forward - can sometimes come off as a bit rude. Always responds to emails or questions. A lot of reading and note taking but it was online due to COVID so I figured so. Easy class if you keep up with your work. A couple quizzes, exams, a group project, and a final interview.

Mrs. Wiggs is by far the best Professor Ive ever had. As a lot of students are, we can be hesitant signing up for a comm. course because public speaking makes us anxious, but she understands & doesnt push. We have a group we consider family that is there to help us throughout the semester. A couple quizzes & 2 bigger tests. 10/10 recommend.

Wiggs is a solid choice if you're looking for coms professors. She's very caring and understanding, just don't abuse her kindness. Excellent online learning structure. She has about 3 required zooms lasting about 30 min each. She has group projects. Just do your work. Textbook isn't really needed.

The class was simple and interesting. She did put us in groups and eventually had us do a team project, but I was lucky to have a good group. The workload isn't bad and mainly consisted of quizzes around every 2-3 weeks. We only had around 3 meetings as a class the entire semester. She is nice and cares about her students. I recommend her class!

There is a lot of reading and watching lecture but do take notes because this is very helpful to pass her class. Group projects are fine if you got good classmates if not talk to her. She understands her students very much. Just read and listen to lectures and you'll do good. You do have projects but it's not that hard.

She was honestly one of my favorite professors. Everything we learned in class she found ways to give us real life examples of, and her stories were so interesting to hear. She really cares about her students and wants everyone to pass, but you have to be willing to be open minded.

She did have weekly quizzes about things from the online textbook provided and about her videos explaining what the week would look like. COMMUNICATE with her if you have problems with deadlines. She made me feel welcome albeit an online class

I loved Wiggs, she is caring and understanding. I became stressed because something happened and I told her that my participation might be low and she was understandable about it. The final in this class was a job interview on zoom where you had to answer questions about yourself. Communication 9 was my first class that I took. Take her! Amazing!
