Dr Wadia is a cool professor and he is willing to help students if one shows interst to learn. The class was entertaining and thought provoking at times due to the material. This classis highly recommeded!
I really enjoy his teaching style. The projects take a lot of work but you learn so much doing them and it's well worth the effort.
Learn to use the semicolin correctly or not at all.
Great character, normally fun in class. Don't say anything stupid or he'll call you out for it. Grammar is his pet peeve, so check your work or you'll regret it. Other than that, great prof and I'd take him again anytime.
Decently good teacher. He rambles in class at times about things most people should already know. He's abit picky and doesn't get assignments back to students very quickly
Minoo is alright. I liked the material but didn't really care for him. He is nosey. Just leave me the hell alone and let me do my work! But its ok.
Oh, he is "a condescending ass who still hasn't gotten over the fact that he (somehow) has a Ph.D." He constantly rambled about how scholarly he is and how up-to-date in his field.
i liked dr. wadia the person but not so much the teacher. i just didnt feel like we were learning things in that class. entertaining but not really someone you can learn a lot about tech writing from. he was helpful to me but a lot of people complained that he wasnt.
He has been great. He talks fast, but a tape recorder can solve that problem. He likes to mess around with the computers (you'll understand when you have him.) I highly suggest Wadia for any course he teaches. He is tough, but fair. As long as you follow the instructions, you'll do fine in class.
amazing professor. I had him over the summer, and although he grades papers hard, he is willing to help you do better. He is funny, sarcastic, honest, and very intellegent. His teaching style is also extremely effective. Take Wadia. He's not the easiest, but he's great. You'll enjoy him!
this class was crazy fun and easy but really expensive because you need a jump drive and have a lot of printing costs. if you know grammar and destop publishing, you've already got an A. and dr. wadia is one of the best professors on campus. he's very helpful and knowledgeable.
I liked Wadia. This was a class i took b/c i had to have it, but i ended up really liking it - so much i'm taking the next class up and may minor in it. He has his moments when you want to smack him, but hey, that's okay. Just don't do or say anything supid bc he will call you on it. in class.
Dr. Wadia is awesome! He is tough, but wants you to learn; however, if you don't it's on you. To those who said he's awful, if you had a PhD you'd be proud of it too; he's earned the right! He's helpful and fun. I had his class last semester & got an A. Dr. Wadia is great! Know your grammar.
High standards, got a B and am proud of it! He asks ALOT but you will in turn learn ALOT. He is awesome!
I love Dr. Wadia. He is funny, smart, and very interesting. I have always liked Shakespeare, but thanks to Dr. Wadia I have a whole new appreciation for the old Shake-dog.
had wadia for one course but i will always remember it! he is very passionate about his teaching and i truly enjoyed his class! very good teacher!! very helpful, too!

Dr. Wadia is a great professor. Hi class is the only one that I enjoy this semester.
I've had Wadia before and never realized how annoying he is, but he is very passionate about what he teaches and will make sure you learn if you are at all interested. I didn't like the course, but the class was fine. He's a great professor.
Love him. One of the few who really cares about his students. Tends to have all major assignments announced and due late, but class time is useful and usely interesting, especially if you can get him off track. Go to England, and you will have a great reference for life.
Be prepared to keep up!!! He is fast but has no problem when you say slow down. He is funny. I had a lot of fun in this class.
Dr. Wadia is brilliant and charismatic. His classes are involving, and he is very passionate about his subject matter. I liked him so much that I am taking this class again at the graduate level even though I can't receive credit for it.
Wadia is so funny and helpful. The class is not that hard, you just have to keep up. Ask for help and he will give it to you, he wants everyone to do well. Beware though, he WILL talk you into signing up for the England trip...
wadia is great! he is hilarious but serious so it is not by any means a goof off class, but his classes are the best on interest level and weird ability to tie everything, no matter how outrageous, into what he is talking about.
Dr. Wadia is one of the most helpful professors at APSU. I enjoyed his classes a great deal and learned valuable material that will help me in the real world. He is great and makes you learn without you even realizing you are learning!!! Take Dr. Wadia if at all possible.
I have taken two courses with Dr. Wadia, and both were awesome experiences. He's the reason I chose professional writing as a minor. He's brilliant, friendly, & bends over backwards to help. He challenges students and pushes them to think, and makes learning a blast! He expects a lot but that makes him great. The BEST at APSU. Take his class! :-)
This is the second class I've had with Dr. Wadia. He's extremely knowledgable, hardworking, and very helpful. Probably of the most accessible professors at Austin Peay. My only qualm is his gigantic ego. If you can get past that, you'll have a great experience.
This guy's GREAT! True, he can be a bit moody, and yes, he does have an ego. But, his class is a blast, he's extremely knowledgeable, VERY interesting, very passionate about teaching, and he wants you to learn. You will learn a LOT from him. He DOES expect a lot in return, so DON'T take him if you're not willing to do the work.
He is by the book teacher and goes extremely fast when talking. Wants detailed written essays.
I have taken both Shakespeare and Tech Writing from Dr. Wadia and recommend his classes to anyone who is interested in learning and who would like to meet a great prof. His classes are both challenging and rewarding. You will be expected to work hard, especially in the Tech Writing class, but you will learn valuable skills that can be applied outsi
Dr. Wadia is an excellent professor. He is demanding, but you really learn a lot with him. He cares about the students and always finds time in his busy schedule to help them. He has always a nice story to tell, and make the students tunned to the news. If you are willing to work hard and really learn, take him!
Class was semi-interesting. Did a lot on Pride and Prejudice. Read a lot of stories about India and their culture. Wad was somewhat entertaining.
Great teacher
He was a good teacher in general; fast sometimes. My chief complaint is how gossipy and judgmental he is. The bulk of some classes were filled with his critisms of undisclosed people and stories of incompetance. Very sad.
Wadia is really cool and I enjoyed the Shakespeare class. He makes the plays interesting by spending time actually watching the films. He's strict on writing but is still fair. He's really funny and overall a great professor.
He is a good teacher! He is very enthusiasitic about what he does although he can seem cocky at times. Very easy to get along with, very friendly.
dr.wadia is very excited about Shakespeare and conveys that onto his students. He gives his students the opportunity to see many plays and movies to enhance the experience of the class
Dr. Wadia really makes the life of Shakespeare and his plays along with other forms of theatre exciting to a disconnected student body who are more involved with films and the internet. This is hands down one of my favorite class
Dr. Wadia is awesome. If you don't learn in his class you either didn't come or slept while you were there. I have had him twice now, and I have signed up for another one of his classes next semester. See you at the theater Dr. Wadia.
Dr. Wadia is, by far, my favorite professor at Austin Peay! I was so scared to be enrolling in a Shakespearean Literature course last semester, but he assured me that the class was awesome and proved to be right! He is a genious. I'm taking 2 classes with him this semester and love them!
Absolutely wonderful professor. He tells you EXACTLY what is expected from you. No surprises. Go to class and do the work assigned. He gives plenty of time to complete the projects. Once I began the projects I really got into them. I even decided to change my minor. Very fun class. He has a great sense of humor. Highly recommend him.
Dr. Wadia is a fantastic professor! Very knowledgeable in regards to Shakespeare and Elizabethan England and makes his expectations for assignments very clear. The close reading assignments are hard work but worth it for the content you will learn in the class and the fun you will have! He's always available to help and is a very nice man.
Great class with an expert who really makes the material and Shakespeare interesting and accessible. Dr Wadia ia very helpful and allows many chances for success. Movies and theater are emphasized but don't take the place of reading the plays.Assignments are clear, with examples given but require hard work but you learn!!
It pretty much doesn't get much better than this. I thought this class was going to be really hard--and it wasn't easy--but it was fun. I forgot that I was taking a class about English poetry and play writing form the 1500's. The whole class had a good time and I have no problem speaking for them; we saw free plays, films, and ate pizza:) Sweet.
This class was absolutely fabulous! Even if you are not an English major, you MUST take this class. You will leave with such a rich appreciation of the subject matter that it may very well change your life. The classes were all packed with tons of information to absorb but were still so much fun! That is a rare combination. Dr. Wadia is "da bomb"!
Outstanding class and professor! I loved this class and learned more than I ever thought I would. The class climate was excellent. I would take this class in the fall just to have more than 3 weeks of instruction.
Dr. Wadia is an Amazing teacher. I rated him easy because he gives you the assignments for class at the beginning of the semester and you have until pretty much the end to finish them. Don't procrastinate, get it done and out of the way early on and it is smooth sailing. Don't buy the book unless he tells you to. Chances are you'll only use it once
Dr. Wadia provides a very professional and challenging class. He does a great job of preparing the student for what they will face in the "real world". Would take him again.
Dr. Wadia is very enthusiastic and prepared with vast amounts of knowledge in all things Shakespeare. Focusing the class on Shakes and film shed new light on the Bard! It was a great class.
Dr. Wadia's Shakespeare class isn't nearly as hard as I was told it would be. He loves to talk about his study abroad class to London. Two big papers and two big tests, and that's about it. Always always always come to class. Come to class, turn everything in on time, actually study for the tests--you'll be fine.
Dr Wadia is one of the best professors I have had in my college experience. He is not only very knowledgeable, but willing to share his knowledge. Dr. Wadia has always taken time out to make sure the student understand everything he teaches, and takes additional time to critique the papers. I highly recommend taking a class with Dr. Wadia.
There is no substitute for being instructed by a profesor who is passionate about the subject matter. Dr. Wadia is this kind of profesor. He not only teaches you about Shakespeare, but he teaches you how to discover Shakespeare for yourself, and if you put forth effort in his class, your effort will definitely be rewarded.
Easily the best professor that APSU has ever employed. This professor is passionate about seeing his students succeed beyond his classroom. His papers are easy if you follow all of the guidelines. His tests are easy if you study. Dr. Wadia is an irreplaceable asset that APSU is lucky to have.
Dr. Wadia makes Donne and Milton's words live and take relevance. A top professor by any standards.
DR. Wadia is a very dedicated Professor. He is very dedicated to the school and his students. He tends to focus more on the TON of extra credit that he gives rather than the actual assignments. His papers are by far the hardest that I have ever had to write. He expects them to be very detailed, and almost expertly written. Very hard class!
Here is the only issue with Dr. Wadia. Do you want to understand Shakespeare and the metaphysical poets. If you don't, then no worry. If you do, you will find no better professor than Dr. Wadia. I know his only project is the transfer of his vast knowledge to those who want it. I took him for two course and wanted to take a third, but could not.
Do you want to know and understand Shakespeare and the metaphysical poets? If not, no worry. If you do, you will enjoy his class and will leave it better prepared. I took two classes from him and wanted to take a third but could not. Even if you are not an English major, do not miss the opportunity to study great literature with this man.
I took a study abroad class with him. He was a great professor that knew London very well, and he had great knowledge of the course. It is a great opportunity to study abroad, but the lessons you learn from Dr. Wadia's class will stick with you. He is great guy, and a great teacher.
There is no falsehood within him. He cares about students and pushes them to achieve. His essays are semi-difficult because he demands for students to be accurate and thorough. His tests are easy if you study. I only recommend taking his Maymester course if you have to...you'll wish you had more time in his class. To make an A apply yourself.
I heard only great things about Dr. Wadia, but I would not take him again. I found his time ill-used in class, and I do not feel like I have learned anymore about Shakespeare than I already knew. He is loved by many students, but has a specific teaching style, and if it's not your learning style, good luck.
The hardest part about this class is the papers. They are just very analytical and in depth. Other than that, if you go to class and do what you're supposed to it's not hard.
I have had the pleasure of being in 4 of Dr. Wadia's classes, plus his winter study abroad. I have never met a professor who was as immensely passionate for both his subject matter and the welfare of his students. He will challenge you to look past the bigger picture and see the tiny details that make an art-form important and beautiful. Take him.
The class expectations are clear from beginning- portfolio, midterm, final exam. It's a great class with real- world relevance. Dr. Wadia always brings meaningful information to class. We use the book some, mostly for grammar stuff. Gives extra credit for some events (mostly plays or Pizza and Shakespeare). Always available for guidance and help.
Dr. Wadia was an amazing instructor. He opened up so many windows for the students to explore and learn new things daily. I will never forget the many things I learned in his course.
If you want to learn about Shakespeare, this is the class to take. Dr. Wadia's knowledge on Shakespeare is amazing! Make sure you go to class and study the quiz study guides. Above anything else, the amount of extra credit it awesome and you get to see some great shows to earn it!
Excellant class. Lots of information. Be prepared to study and put in a lot of effort, but Dr Wadia is very helpful and understanding if you need to discuss anything with him.
Dr. Wadia wants you to EXPLAIN a passage per paper (2). Dissect it until you've understood the very fiber of Shakespeare's meaning: words have multiple definitions, lines change from ordinary expressions to cruel remarks against a character's humanity. The depth to which you explore the material determines your grade. Note: 2 quizzes
Worst class I've taken. He is obviously intelligent but wastes class time. We read two plays and never talked about them. I learned NOTHING. I'm getting my first C because he grades harshly. "Extra credit" is essential to getting a decent grade. If you want to learn anything about Shakespeare, take someone else. I've never disliked a class more
This professor is amazing. One of the top scholars in his field and I was lucky enough to be in several of his classes. Do the work and you'll do well; he's genuinely wants to help you succeed and grasp the concepts. His grades come with feedback for improvement. Be present & participate because the experience of being in his class is unmatched.
Dr. Wadia is fantastic. He is the most enthusiastic professor I have ever had the pleasure of studying under. He knows his material, which means he expects you to learn it too. You MUST study for his 2 tests, and you MUST research the passages he assigns for your 2 papers. Failure to do so means a failing grade. Extra credit will help for that A!
Dr. Wadia was one of the most thought provoking professors I've ever had. His classes are not for casual learners. Do not come to this class thinking he's going to hand you all the answers. You actually have to work for your grade in his class.
He is extremely enthusiastic about what he teaches and very helpful! You will read a lot, but the material is interesting. You write a lot, and there are many guidelines to what you write, but as long as you follow his steps you will make a good grade. The work is reasonable, and enjoyable. He is available to always help, and wants you to succeed.
Dr. Wadia puts the students first. He is a fair grader, but that does not make his class easy. You will learn more about Shakespeare in one semester than you have your entire life. Dr. Wadia is both funny and serious. Dr. Wadia ensures his students have wonderful opportunities such as free play tickets. He makes the class a family.
Pretty cool dude
Dr. Wadia is terrific! He is a genuine Shakespearean scholar. If I am given a choice to take another class on Shakespeare given by Dr. Wadia, I will choose it! He is tough but fair! Come to class and be prepared. Do your work promptly. Do the extra credit that is available. If you need help ask and you will do well.
I took Dr. Wadia's Shakespeare class in my third semester here; I would take it again in a heartbeat. Professors who are truly passionate about their work are honestly rare, but Dr. Wadia is one of them. Be prepared to "dig deep"; however, know that you will have all the help you need in this class. He won't leave you stranded if you ask.
I truly enjoyed Dr. Wadia's tech writing class. His skills in this subject area are very up-to-date, and they are what got him into this job to begin with. He knows his stuff. He has precise standards, but he does make sure you know them, both before you turn in your assignments and after he's done grading them. You won't be let down in this class.
If you enjoyed regular Shakespeare class, I would highly recommend "Shakespeare on Film and Stage". We decided which plays to cover as a class, but the decision of which of the adaptations to watch/write about was left to each student. The papers are straightforward and clear if you pay attention, follow instructions, and actually watch the films.
Dr. Wadia knows Shakespeare, and by the end of this course, you'll know the basic facts pretty well. The class is fun and interactive; the main grades are quizzes over Shakespeare facts and close reading papers. The papers are hard initially, but as you get used to what he expects, they become much easier to write. Ask questions. Fun extra credit!
Dr. Wadia is a great and dedicated professor who wants the best for his students. You can tell how much he loves and respects Shakespeare, and it shows in his assignments. You definitely need to show up to class and turn in your papers on time. He gives his all to the class and expects you to do the same. I highly recommend taking any class you can
This class is great. You need to be prepared to work though. You will be doing some deep research with some assignments, but he is very clear on what he wants. He will meet with you and help you as much as he can as long as you try hard. He offers up to 50 points of extra credit (as of this review), and he provides a lot of opportunities for such.
Dr. Wadia is a fantastic professor, which is why I chose to take him for the second time in his Film and Stage class. This class was incredibly fun--the films we watched were enjoyable, the extra credit opportunities were excessive and accessible, and Dr. Wadia's clear passion for the subject matter was constantly present. Grading is consistent.
Dr. Wadia has very high standards, but he cares a lot about his students. He may come across as brusque, but if you express interest, he will work with you. At times, projects will be slightly unclear or drawn out, but he tries not to bulldoze his students at the end of a semester. I've had three classes with him, all good.
Professor Wadia is a great English professor, I would 100% take him again. He grades very fairly, and offers a lot of opportunities for extra credit. He gives very clear guidelines to what he wants you to do for all the assignments, and often goes over it thoroughly in class. Very hard to fail his class.
Dr. Wadia was amazing! Assignments are pretty straight forward, and attendance is mandatory. He also gives plenty of extra credit!
Quite possibly the best professor at Austin Peay. Hes incredibly brilliant and know technical writing and Shakespeare better than anyone else on campus. If you need him for assistance with resumes or graduate school applications, hes your guy!
Dr. Wadia is my absolute FAVE! He always has such a happy and bright attitude, and he makes class exciting and fun. From day one, you know he truly cares about your success not only in his class, but in any future endeavors. He allows for some missed days, but if you miss be prepared for some catching up. He grades fairly and gives great feedback.
Wadia is so passionate about his work and it shows. This man lives and breathes Shakespeare and loves it so much it will bring him to tears. His excitement is like a little kid and he just wants to share it all with his students. He cares deeply about the success and well being of his students. He is a tough grader but helps you a lot.
In taking Dr. Wadia you will not find a more passionate, caring professor who cares about the subject (Shakespeare) or his students. Dr. Wadia gave plenty of extra credit opportunities in the event that papers did not turn out as planned. To get an A, you have to be intellectually curious, put forth an effort of your own, and be diligent.
Doctor Wadia's class was lovely. He was very helpful and made learning the content both fun and easy. The content wasn't very complex or test heavy, and he was willing to help us every step of the way. Overall, it was just a really good class and I would definitely take this professor again.
Dr. Wadia is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about Shakespeare, and is the professor you want if you are going into a literature degree. He is easy to communicate with and very understanding. He gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. Show up to class and read ahead and you will do great. Forgiving grader as long as you try.
My one issue with him is that, particularly as we get to the end of the semester, he hasn't posted information for our assignments. We have a presentation and manual coming up, but the only information given has been verbally in classes. He's very passionate about Shakespeare, but he has a tendency to talk about that instead of tech writing.
I took this as a 5-week summer course. Throughout this class, we were expected to write four essays, complete two quizzes, and complete one in-class final exam. All the readings required for this class were free online. The lectures were engaging and he was easily accessible outside of class. He is extremely caring and I'd recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Wadia is a wonderful professor. He very clearly makes his expectations known from the beginning: come to class on time, do the necessary readings, and participate in the lectures. He cares about his students and whether or not they grasp the material, and he'll go out of his way to help students understand difficult topics. I highly recommend!
I had Dr. Wadia for my London study abroad trip and he was a wonderful teacher. He had so much knowledge on London and took our class to see all the amazing landmarks. He is a very understanding teacher and will work with you if you communicate with him. Dr. Wadia wants to see all of his students succeed and have a bright future.
Professor Wadia has a clear system - just follow his expectations and you'll do well. The lectures are engaging, and he's always happy to help. I found Unstuckstudy great for preparing for quizzes and the final.
Dr. Wadia's class this past semester was both enjoyable and very easy. There were very few assignments, and the lectures often involved a lot of personal stories. The assignments themselves took some work but were overall easy and could be completed in a few hours. A strong understanding of English concepts is required for the final.
Great professor who always gave constructive feedback on work. The class and instruction was concise and transparent.
He was a lot of fun, definitely harder to please than most professors, but his grading is fair, and his stories are entertaining!
