Mr. Arellano is the best math professor in college. First day of class explained the relation between pre-cal and Calculus. Extremely helpful, and during exams tell ahead what problems are coming and emphasizes on those problems. I wish UTA would have let him teach all the calculus classes.

Really good teacher. Explains all material and covers homework problems in class. Very approachable. Work every single one of the homework problems and this class is an easy A.

Miguel is a wonderful teacher. His classroom notes are very detailed and easy to undestand. If you need any help he's willing to help even right after class with the homework. Most of the questions he works out in class are on the exams. Make sure to go to class and do your homework and you'll definitely pull off an A!

Mr. Miguel is a great teacher. He can be a little long winded, but he's entertaining, and extremely helpful, and basically tells you what will be on the tests before you take them. Best Precalc II teacher by far.

I loved ths class. A in the class is possible as long as you do the homeworks and attend classes. His lectures are not boring at all, he'll make the class very interesting. Took an 8 am class but never fell asleep. As a person, he is very helpful to all students and truly for me, he was an inspiration. I highly recommend taking his class.

I'm grateful for Mr. Miguel giving me the opportunity, not many students are lucky to have professors who actually care and want their students to succeed. Or to even make them feel that they can. I'm grateful for him never doubting me. Definitely, one of the best, if not the best teacher, that I've ever had.

Awesome professor! Taught from basics and went through every single detail for easy-understanding. Really helpful when you have no idea what's going on, just have to pay attention in class(and go to class obviously). Homework not mandatory but a must if you want to pass the course. Simple quizzes which are easy if you do homework. I got an A :)

If you do you work you will fail, however he makes the material clear and easy to understand by assuming you know nothing of the subject. If you do the assigned homework and pay attention in class you will get a solid B no doubt, put a little extra work and you have an easy A. Great Professor!

He made me clearly understand mathematics for the first time from any professor. If you truly show that you care and are willing to learn, he will help you. He clearly states his expectations and rules in his syllabus. He works out problems that you have trouble with, as long as you ask. He will help you if you ask for it.

Mr. Miquel is a passionate teacher that is there to do his best to help you gain the concepts that you need to learn. Extra points for being active in class, wish more professors gave this. He will stay after class if need be to make sure all students learn. Keeps full control of class from disruptions of any kind which is a good thing! Half point!

Really nice guy. Really knows his stuff! He gives half points during the class for participation that gets added to test grades. Really helpful. Only negative was scheduling...we took a long time to review basic logs, and rushed when it to derivatives and integration. I did get frustrated at times, but in the end, I was satisfied with the class.

Mr. Miguel has ethical passion for his students. If there is a student needing help, he is very attentive in helping that student achieve. He will make adjustments for the class in order to have a full understanding. He makes sure other students are not disruptive too. I would highly recommend him if you wish to achieve to a higher level.

Amazing Teacher! I have never understanded math through high school and junior high. The first day of class a lightbulb clicked! Best professor ever. So excited to start this semester with him. I have only had two classes with him and I love it, and my while life I have hated math because my teachers would not be patient and clear!Now I have that.

Having taken a previous math class online, I can't begin to state how much easier Mr. Arellano makes learning math. He's willing to work with you and clearly explains work for people who haven't taken a math class in a long time. I appreciate a professor that cares, and he cares about your success. Like most classes, it's what you put into it

Decent teacher. Rushes through class and isn't very organized. Had a test during dead week. I'd recommend another teacher if math isn't your strong suit. If you are good at math you can probably skip this class and still get a B. He is a funny guy though and he is nice. No phones allowed. Gives extra credit for participation.

I genuinely appreciate his classroom rules because they are CLEARLY set with our best interest in mind. Mr Miguel's PASSION drives the whole class. Mr. Miguel is very clear and he is willing to go very far out of his way to make sure everyone understands. His tests are easy and you can usually work backwards from the answer choices he gives you. Never did homework and still pulled off an A; but not everyone that did do homework made a good grade.

Good lecture! He gives big time extra credit if you ask GOOD questions in class he will give you a half point per question. He also will ask questions on the test like "What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?" He's a good teacher, he tends to breeze through some subjects but if you tell him to go back he will. Great teacher, always prepared and enthusiastic about Algebra. You will do great if you love math and are a quick learner because each class is a different topic so attendance is crucial. Study hard and do the homework to fully understand the topics because the tests are your only grades. He is traditional learning style, didn't need textbook.

Mr Arellano Is a Great teacher Math teacher he is such a good teacher prouducers on Avenger's 3 have already casted him in a role too play a superhero that solves math equations. I took Mr. Arellano's Math 1314 class at Brookhaven College. He is very knowledgeable in what he teaches and makes the class breeze by. Half Point!

Mr. Arellano is a dedicated, passionate teacher, and one of the few I've seen get genuinely excited about math. He's contagious with it. He'll give half points for participation, and encourages discussion. That being said, do the homework, and be prepared to group study for tests. Math waits for no man and we marched pell-mell through the semester.

There were many things in this course I took in previous courses, couldn't understand them from the other instructors, but I got it from Mr. Arellano first time he mentioned them. He is a very good Professor. If I am taking any other Math classes, I will look first for Mr. Arellano.

He is a really nice guy and will be more than willing to help you if you ask. He makes lectures fun by telling stories and making jokes a lot. Like any other math class, you will have to put in effort from your side to pass. Homework is optional (he doesn't check) but you won't do good if you just go over work done in class. Study the textbook!

His class though was not easy you definitely had to work hard for your grade and there are only three tests but as long as you do the optional homework and show up to class everyday you should be ok he replaces lowest wit the final if it helps you

Alright guys heres the honest feed back, Mr. Miguel is a great professor but you can't just take the class for granted you don't have to do your homework but do it so you can get good practice because homework questions look like the test that you take through the course. He's a very honest man and relates everything into real world situations. :)

If you're one that struggles with math, like me ,reason I had to take 0311 Professor Arellano is the one to take. Great on wanting to help students. He is really passionate about math will go the extra mile to make sure students are understanding. Attendance is not required,but he likes students who are in class everyday and willing to help those.

I was impressed with Professor ARellano dedication with the subject of mathematics. He is very passion about math and therefore you get entruce with the subject. He is caring about his students making sure each individual understands the problem. He normally stays Late with students. I would strongly recommend him to my friends.

This guy knows how to keep you awake early in the morning. His lectures are very straightforward. Follow the syllabus and attend class and you will be fine. DON'T MISS TESTS

Professor Miguel is one of the finest professors I have ever had in the math department. He is really funny, smart and knows how to teach math. He teaches so fundamentally that the concepts will remain in your head for many years. In class participation, extra credits, post-test points are awarded. His grading is little hard but its worth it.

It is important to show up to class though, because the material on his tests are straight form the lecture. You have to work for your grade, but Mr. Miguel more than does his part when it comes to teaching. He even gives Extra Credit to help you out.

Prof. Arellano is a great instructor and a great guy, his teaching style is step-by-step, simple to understand and more hands-on/visually informative. He is extremely down to Earth/funny, which is very refreshing in a math course about sophisticated topics that can make one feel overwhelmed. (10/10 would most definitely take again)

Prof. Miguel took the opportunity to work with me over the semester in areas that I needed improvement in. His lectures gave background into the where the theorems came from, not just busy work like 99% of all my other teachers. He has INSPIRED me to get a minor in math where I would have never thought I would I would have anything to do with math.
