Mr. Burke is an EDUC 1300 professor. This was my first semester with covid-19 and all, but he made sure to go above and beyond with helping in his class. If you are going to take his online class in the spring semester, attend the WebEx meetings; there only 30 minutes, but it gives you a chance to communicate face-to-face in a virtual setting.

Mr. Burke is an amazing teacher, very easy class with simple work that doesnt need more than a few hours aside. He works with you and checks on you to see where your at and what your working on and always offers help and answers all the questions you have! Would definitely take the class again!!!

Mr. Burke is a wonderful teacher, he cares about his students and is respectful of their time. He has a great sense of humor and his funny gifs always make me laugh! His EDUC class was wonderful; the course material is easy and is a lot of help for new students. Definitely take his class! Just make sure to do all the assignments!

Professor Burke is an awesome instructor ! Communication is key with him, hes very understanding . Show him that you are trying and he will do by all means necessary anything in his power to help you pass the class. Completing the course by him was very easy due to his all time effort in guiding you and helping you with any questions you may have.

Professor Burke really cares about you passing the class. He sends numerous messages about assignments, and he will contact you if he thinks you are in danger of failing. He will message you if an assignment is late (does not take off late points)! I would tend to overthink the assignments, but they're about yourself, so do them and get a 100

Professor Burke is a chill professor. He hosted an online meet and greet and it really helped me get to know my classmates during the pandemic. He is inspirational, caring and I like that he held weekly online office hours so we can meet and ask questions. He loves music and often shared cool playlists that we could use for studying. Great guy!

1000% recommend professor burke! i took his online 8 week class & it was a breeze. no tests, minimal reading, and work graded on completion so easy 100s. he hosts office hours to talk about assignments, other classes, and life in general. he really cares about his students! im in the last office hrs meeting rn & im sad lol but TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

I took this class as a mini-mester and let me tell you, this class was the easiest class ever! Mr. Burke is super nice, if you ever have any questions, don't be afraid to ask he will answer you pretty quick! This class was really fast paced but if you do all the work, you will get an easy A! So if you are willing to do the work to pass his class, he will be with you every step of the way. He his one of cool ones, but not a walk over. As come Sunday he will be remaining that homework is due.

Professor Burke is super kind and understanding. He's always willing to help and it's a great class to take. If you take the class online you can finish all your assignments for the week in about 30-45 minutes. You do need the textbook to respond to some discussions but it's not too bad. It's a great class to take and even better with Mr. Burke

I took the 12-week EDUC 1300 for my first class and he was so nice and caring! As long as you do everything you need to do (And the assignments are actually fun and useful) you are set. He also communicates via Remind and is open to doing Webex if you need anything. I didn't really use the book a lot just like 2 times. Highly recommend him!

As a first year college student, setting my schedule and understanding college was a bit difficult but profesor burke made sure I had confidence in me everyday I will forever be greatful for him, his lectures and his acknowledgment towards his students.

Professor Burke was honestly the easiest teacher and class I had taken this far. I took EDUC 1300 online and it's very easy. He releases modules weekly to complete the required assignments that week. The workload is not a lot. The workload takes about an hour to complete for the week.

Professor Burke's EDUC 1300 course was as easy as it gets. He gives you a clear picture of what's due and when, then it's up to you to stay ontop of your deadlines. Prof. Burke gives great feedback on your turned in assignments and talks to the students to understand their way of thinking. Would definitely take his class again.

I didn't rate his class very easy because I'm not strong in doing essays (which he assigned a few), but he's a generous grader. Make sure you keep up with assignments, he assigns about 3 assignments every week. But all the assignments are very quick and easy to do.

I just want all incoming students to know that when I first started this class I felt it was so unnecessary being as it doesn't go towards your degree plan. It was a mandatory class, and now I understand why. This class was so vital to me in navigating my other classes. Professor Burke was amazing and was always there when needed.

His passion for education is evident. The classes are enjoyable. The only thing that requires time and dedication are the hours of observation that must be done. But otherwise it is not a hard class.

I took his 1301 class, Introduction to Teaching, and really recommend Professor Burke. He has a great personality and great energy, and he shows to each of his students that he cares about them and their success as well. You'll get around two assignments a week but they're not difficult, just don't let them pile up. He also gives good feedback.

For a college class, the online material is so messy and disorganized. Due dates are inaccurate, instructions are not clear and very contradicting. Overwhelming links that have pop-ups, I mean it's frustrating to comprehend anything! This will be the first class ever that I'm considering to drop.

Attendance isn't 'mandatory'. But I do recommend you go to every class just to know what's going on in the class. Any questions or problems, Professor Burke will answer/fix on the spot. He doesn't give a lot of work, do your work on time, and you'll pass the class.

He is very caring about his students whether you are having a personal problem or academic, and he always goes out of his way to make college more comfortable. I was very sick few times this semester and given much needed slack. Negative is he is a little hard to reach outside classes later in the semester. He will give you SO MANYgroup activities.

He was always considerate but you had to have a good reason for turning in late assignments.

He's ok. You have to be ready to work in groups for ice breakers and stuff, like dancing and singing infront of the class. He's the "cool professor" One assignment each week, but he takes too long to grade. It's a boring easy class that won't hurt taking

Overall he is an okay professor, throughout the whole semester he did not update the correct due dates and the assignments on d2l will be scattered everywhere. Will not say in class the assignments we have during the week and spend the class time talking about his life. Don't get me wrong he is a good person but is not meant to be a teacher.

Since it's a mandatory class, just take it online; it's not hard at all. If you don't like socializing with others, don't do this in person. It was the worst class ever but also the easiest class ever.

Professor Burke's class is a required and easy class! I took it online during the 6-week summer II course, and it went pretty smoothly besides a few bugs. It pretty much consists of a bunch of work that mostly goes along the formula of reading this and answering questions about it afterward. I would definitely take him again.

I think this class, and Prof. Burke was exceptional! I love the content in this class. I work a full time job and this class was not overwhelming at all. The perfect amount of work given in a week, and very clear instructions on each assignment. I only ever had one or two questions about things in class. He also gives great feedback! Awesome!

Professor Burke is very kind and caring and he loves making students laugh. There is a lot of online assignments, but he gives plenty of time during class to complete them and most are easy. The participation is funny stuff like acting out a skit or performing a dance. Overall best first college professor I could've had, I really do recommend him.

Amazing class and amazing professor! The assignments are incredibly easy, and he's easily accessible through Remind. Even though I took the course online, he went out of his way to make sure he connected with his online students and took the chance to get to know us all. His feedback on the assignments he does comment on is incredibly insightful!

Prof. Burke was amazing, as someone who struggles a lot with online courses he made it so easy to get a good grade and is super lenient with latework. the actual classwork is pretty simple, and he is very responsive and available on Remind (i said no textbooks, but technically there are chapters embedded in the assignments, nothing to buy)

Professor Burke truly cares for his student's wellbeing and success. The lectures are engaging and fun with group projects or down-to-earth conversations - at times he makes you do crazy things in front of the class (dances, etc) but it's not long or daunting. He's easy to reach via the Remind app - and he's also an easy grader if you do the work.

I took a 8week class online. At the beginning I was confused but after having a meeting with Prof Burke, everything went smooth.

He's a really nice and fun dude that cares about his students. He requires us to read some texts in the book, but I think I would've passed if I didn't read any of it, lol.

A very funny and interesting professor, he will make you do very ridiculous things in class but it's his way to get everyone to be comfortable with one another or to teach the lecture he has for the day! Be warned he loves cold chicken would not stop telling us this to get a laugh out of us 🤣

Professor was fun, his goal was to make the class feel welcoming for 1st year students and he did it through reminding everyone not to be so serious. He has a lot of in class group assignments which were fun and overall gave a lot of creative freedom and taught on some important topics involving college experience.

He's a vibe, I will say. I do wish he gave more time to work in class & was more organized when it comes to time management, but other than that, he's a chill teacher.

There is a lot of homework, but it is all doable. He is a fun guy and loves connecting with his students!

Professor Burke is a good teacher. He's a very chill guy and gives relatively easy assignments. If you do your work, you will definitely pass the class. He also provides some valuable advice and is quick to answer any questions you have in or outside the class.

The class doesn't need to take a test, but it is very heavy in assignments. Although if you manage your time well, you can do everything easy and get A.

If you are a visual learner, Professor Burke is going to be your holy grail of teachers! He leaves us video feedback on our assignments, as well as a video at the beginning of each chapter/course explaining what he's expecting, wants us to do, and really think about while doing the assignments. Highly recommend!!

Professor Burke's class was one of the most interactive classes I have had so far in my college career. He gets you out of your comfort zone, creates opportunities to meet new people, and provides a great environment that, even if you have an early morning class with him, your day is off to a great start.

He is very unorganized. When bringing something to his attention or asking a simple question, he will belittle you and assume you did not read the syllabus. Even though his syllabus says make up work, he does not offer it. His due dates are all over the place and even when it says due, there is usually no drop box for you to turn it in. Avoid.

The work can be alot if you don't do it on time so I would just get the work done ahead of time in order not to fall behind
