I loved his class. He interacts with the students well. DO THE VOCAB AND STOCK SHEETS AND IT WILL RAISE YOU A LETTER GRADE. This is not very hard to do and is worth the extra effort. His tests are hard but he reviews the material beforehand.

he is a professor who will make sure that you know some thing about business and its life...he will teach you how to be thinker and he is very practical about his teaching...so please take him and you will enjoy.

I love this teacher. You can expect to write at least ONE paper for homework as well as reading a chapter, however, it's impossible for you not to leave the class without an almost full understanding of business. He's very interesting and a cool guy overall. I would highly recommend him!!

Corrigan is great!!! He makes you want to go to class because of how he makes it so interesting; its the only class that doesnt put me to sleep! He does give alot of work but he is lenient about turning it in on time, theres absolutely no reason why anyone should not get at least an A or a B.

He is a preety lenient in grading. He accepts late work and he makes the class very fun. And you actually learn something from his class. However, there are a lot of papers to write. I probably wrote more papers for him than I wrote for my English class

a nice guy and good teacher who has decent taste in music too. kept the class interesting and always had a good discussion going on. there is a lot of work (papers) but he is a very understanding grader when it comes down to it. i would definitely recommend his class, but just my advice, do not take it as a 6 week but a full semester class.

Mr. Corrigan was and is one of my favorite teachers. He's funny, knowledgeable and very helpful. Very understanding and flexible with his due dates. You need to keep up with his lectures and readings and just be on time. Really cool guy.

great class. discussions are very interesting and overall a great class. HOWEVER, if you expect to get a good grade, you MUST show up to class everyday to keep up with the work. Tests are fair, but hard. keep in mind he does go over the test before test day which is very helpful. expect lots of work, but nothing that's stressful. i recommend!

You want to take this class trust me...Corrigan is one of my favorite teachers. Honestly I dont see how you can get a bad grade in this class. He goes over all of the test questions the day before exams, and does not have any due dates. He is very willing to help everyone get an A and is very interesting and funny.

As a returning adult student that took his class over a compressed summer semester of 6 weeks, I have to say he was a huge challenge. Good, fair, but you HAVE to keep up. The only people that did poorly were slackers that didn't like doing work. All in all, I found his expectations of students to be similar to the real world...

Miguel Corrgian is by far the best teacher at NOVA, He is really great, he assigns a lot of papers, but if you just turn them in and do what's asked of you, you won't be disapointed. He is a really good teacher.

To all of those that gave blue faces, you will learn in your college career that those professors that challenge you to work for your A are teaching you to work hard in life, and that successes of this nature are by far more gratifying than any easy grade you will ever get. MC is my favorite professor at NOVA, period, which BTW does not suck.

Miguel is by far the BEST teacher i have had so far at NVCC. I have to admit the first day i was a little freaked out but i realized he's just doing his job. He doesnt just teach business he makes you experience business. He gives easy quizes and tests.

One of the greatest teachers i ever had. You have to memorize alot for his exams but he gives you everything that will be on it. But if you score low, he will let you re-answer using your book and give u a solid score because he knows his exams are hard, and admits it. Lots and Lots of papers, doesnt grade hard. I got a A. Very enjoyable lectures, however, he assigns two 2-page papers a week for an intro to business class. If you don't mind writing then take him, otherwise go with a professor that realizes it's just a 100 level class.

The best teacher I have ever had. There are papers every week but they are SO easy. He allows a 2 grade letter boost if you do a stock assignment every week (easy) and attend every class. So if you have a C you'd get an A right there. Awesome guy, hilarious .. you will be entertained. Used to own a nightclub in New Mexico. The stories are endless!

Good teacher, interesting and funny, curses at least twice per class. Tests are the hardest I've ever taken, but u can always bring the test grade up to at least a 70. Don't freak out. THere's ALOT of writing, probably more than an English class, u MUST stay on to of all his assignmenets to get through. ALso, perfect attend= one letter grade up.

I went to Nova for 2 years and Professor Corrigan is the best professor I had in that time. I took 2 Business courses with him because he made them enjoyable and made business easy to learn. He does assign a good amount of work but it's simple stuff that you can knock out of the way in a short period of time. He basically makes his students do well

Take his class. The semester I had him I liked his class so much that it kept me going to class each day which greatly improved my GPA. If you go to class and do your work there's no way you can't get an A.

I took his business class and liked him so much that I took his marketing class, even though the credits won't transfer. He is really cool. All you have to do is go to every class and turn in stock sheets to get two letter grades up at the end of the semester. He's just an awesome guy and actually teaches. Unlike other "professors."

Good teacher, overall. Starts off the day by questions that make you think. Attendance not mandatory, BUT highly recommend that you come to all sessions, because it will pay off in the end. He give you a lot of work, but it was managable and helpful (I took a quick week course...so it was harder than normal). It is hard to fail, as long as you try.

I hated Business before I took his class and now I find myself watching the news and being up-to-date with the latest Business headlines.:)

Hard work is a understatement. If you are a bad writer like me, do not take this class. He keeps it very interesting. I would keep up with current events and read the wall street journal. The small things like the stock sheets and the quizzes mean ALOT.

His exams and project are the most difficult I have undertaken, but I have never learned more in any other class, ever!

Professor Corrigan gives a lot of writing assignments, but as long as you do most of them, attend each class, and fill out the weekly stock sheets it is very easy to earn an A. The exams are 10 essay questions, but he gives them to you before hand. I recommend taking this class if you are looking for a challenge and like business.

Corrigan is THE best professor at the Loudoun campus, especially in business. the class was very hard with a lot of work weekly but with no time restraints it was managable and not so stressful. three hour class went by SO quick and every class was highly interesting and entertaining! wish he taught more classes!

Turn the stuff in on time and you will do well. I have never been excited to go to a class before taking his Business course. After you understand his expectations, you can excel! Exams were hard but didn't effect grades too much.

If you want to learn and apply your knowledge than take his class, if you just want to pass the class, you can find others. He gives 12 questions for study guide and gives 10 of them in the test. Great Prof, great class. There is work to be done though; 13 papers are assigned, some easy, some hard. Lots of extra credit. If you turn in a stock sheet each week = A LETTER GRADE. Perfect attendance = LETTER GRADE. 25 articles on BlackBoard; commenting= 1-5 pts EC. The exams were tough time-wise. He allows you correct it if below 60.

After taking BUS100 I had to take the new international class with Corrigan. Great Professor who can teach you everything you want to know about opening a business here or abroad. Take his class if you can but don't fall behind. It's a lot of work but he will show you how to open a business and the importance of culture.

Great, knowledgeable teacher! Although, he seems tough, he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and has only two tests, and he tells you the ?s and answers, no final. I enjoyed his class. He was very fair, he spells out for you exactly what he wants. Though there are many reading assignments, most of them are interesting. I learned a lot more in this class than I expected. I would say take his class if you have the chance!

His BUS 100 class had a lot of papers and required readings. Additionally, there was a chance of a vocab quiz each class.However, he did have extra credit that raised you one letter grade. If you're interested in starting your own company/store etc... then this class would be very helpful.

Corrigan is definitely not an "easy A" teacher. If you are really looking to learn about the business world and want to go into that field, take his class! Attend all classes, you get a grade letter bump up! Even if his exams are really hard, study but you will do fine in the class! Do the work !

Corrigan is very passionate about business. He's had a few failed businesses which he will surely talk about. The problem is he doesn't teach much, instead he discusses articles he's assigned, stock sheet,news etc. He gives ALOT of homework compared to any NVCC professor. But his extra credit really helps. I skipped class once to vote and he didn't dock me for it. He will give you the answers to his exams beforehand, just be prepared to write a lot.

Professor Corrigan is a spectacular teacher! If you take his class be prepared to write papers, take quizzes, and participate in class. He introduces all of the main concepts of business and has plenty of experience, which makes the class very informative. I highly recommend taking Professor Corrigan.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Just gives pop quizzes occasionally on the textbook vocab - not hard as long as you read it. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you do go to every class and participate occasionally you get extra points added to your final grade. Great Professor and teacher. If you're really passionate about Business, then absolutely take Professor Corrigan's Business 100 class. He'll teach the real meaning of how business actually works in the real world. He truly cares and wants you to be successful. He assigns multiple of papers, but it's very easy to follow. Do not slack. Do the work, show up to class, you'll pass.

Professor Corrigan is hands down the best professor I have had so far in my college career. He knows his material thoroughly, and is really fun to be around. He does assign roughly one paper per week, they aren't hard but it is a lot of work. I found them all VERY useful, and there are 2 letter grade bump opportunities on top of doing all homework.

I took Prof. Corrigan in the fall for bus 100 and taking his bus 280 class was another great decision. Best professor to teach this course due to his vast experience in traveling the world. Doing a currency worksheet every week and attending every class will boost you a letter grade.

We wrote 9 (very big) papers, and had 2 pretty hard exams that were essay based. Gives the most extra credit I have ever seen! He cares about his students!

One of, if not the best professor's on campus. He is thoughtful and knows how to engage his students and guide them towards thinking critically on various subjects throughout the course. There will be a lot of reading and writing, it's tedious, but fairly easy once you put yourself in the right mindset.

Professor Corrigan is a great teacher that I would recommend to any Business major. 20% grade raise for perfect attendance and a 1 letter grade raise for turning in an easy stock sheet on a weekly basis. He gives tons of homework and 9 long and painful essays, but if you are serious about business, they are very useful.

Professor Corrigan is one of the best professors I took at nova, He has a lot of experience and most of the assignments you do will help you later in you business journey, He gives a lot of good examples for every subject he teaches making it easier to understand.

Prof. Corrigan is one of the best profs out there. There is a lot of homework but it is all relevant, and really allows students to get hands on experience of what starting a business is really like. Rather than making you learn terms, he has us actually see what business in the real world is like. I loved it. He is extremely cool and caring.

Greatest professor I've ever had. Every student who is even thinking about going into business must take a class with Corrigan. His class is tough but an easy A as long as you get all of your assignments done (lots of EC). I learned more in this class alone than all others so far. Full of worthwhile information, incredibly entertaining class.

Yes he might be a tough grader for papers and the exams are extremely hard, as long as you dont miss any classes or do the country paper, youll get 2 bump on your grades. Amazing lectures and youll not regret taking him.

He has a great sense of humor, loves to give out as much extra credit as he can and he actual cares about his students. On the downside, he gives a lot of papers but that's all the hw he gives. If you show up to class, do what's asked, you should get an easy A.

you will literally never fail this class if you put work in. even if you don't understand anything, and have no idea what is going on, you will not fail. there is to much extra credit. he gives you the test questions to study, and there is no such thing as late work. however, you HAVE to put work in, it fun and worth it educationally, but not easy.

I do not have any business class experience, but I did think this intro class would be much easier than it was. It felt like there were so many in depth papers, it was a lot. Professor Corrigan is a funny and smart person, but this class was not for me. I think if you ARE interested in business he would be a good professor.

Prof. Corrigan is one of my favorite professors! He makes you work really hard. There are 4 papers and many other big assignments, but assigns a lot of extra credit. If you attend every class and always complete the weekly currency exchange assignment, he will raise your grade to the next letter twice (one letter for each extra credit assignment).

Funny yet informative, he gives a lot of good tips as cares for his student. He assigns papers throughout the semester with no due date. So if you don't cram them all in the last two weeks of the semester as I did, you'll be fine in terms of not feeling overwhelmed. He made it clear if we show effort he'll take care of our grades in which he did.

Corrigan is hands down my favorite professor at nova. I took him for BUS 100 and 280 and he seriously knows what he's doing, He's one of the few professors at nova that give a crap about his students and offers advising often in case your advisor is unreliable. Professor Corrigan is a great guy as well as a great teacher. There are about 10 or so papers assigned throughout the semester that range anywhere from 5-10 pages. There are no specific due dates so youll have to keep yourself in check. Besides this, he really does care about you and will do his best to help you pass at all times.

He is amazing! I took him during spring 2021 semester and I learned so much. He isn't lecture heavy, if he does lecture it's for no longer than 40 min. Instead of lectures he takes up the whole class to answer any of your questions and he answers them fully. You can tell he loves his job and loves teaching. He also gives A LOT of extra credit.

While Professor Corrigans class had quite the workload, there were no due dates on any assignment, so you could manage your own time. His lectures were very interesting and he gave an extra 10% credit for attending all classes. He was a solid guy. Great professor!

Honestly, I earned so much from him he was such a nice guy and will round your grade in the class up a whole letter grade if you do his weekly assignments.

The only reason I would not take his class again is because for his papers there is no due date and as nice as that sounds that does not work for me. This was the best professor I have ever had I usually dread school but this professor made me love it. He never used PowerPoint or showed videos it was mostly class discussions and fun projects. Be prepared to read, a lot; and then write, also a lot. Oh, and thinking isn't optional in his course - you're expected to tie the material covered in class with the readings *and* current business news/events. Don't fall for the 'no deadline' trap - turn in the assigned work on the regular, and you'll be ahead of the game.

He is a great professor. He does give out a lot of readings but it's not that challenging. Make sure to do the assignments he assigns to pass the class. The exam is easy as long as you do the readings and read in the textbook, plus he helps out by giving "study guides". His lectures are entertaining so you won't be bored.

I did not know about rate my professors when I chose him for my class. I got so lucky-- he is honestly one of the best teachers that you can have. You have 8-9 papers that are assigned all throughout the semester and due at the end.(DO NOT PROCRASTINATE). Attendance is not mandatory but he gives a grade bump for attending ALL classes.+extra credit.

Anybody who rates this guy below a 4 is most likely salty because they didn't want to show up to class and relied on the lax environment to get away with skipping classes. It is easy to pass if you come to every class, as there is a chance to get two letter grade bumps by the end of the year, 20% added on! This class is easy to look forward to!

This professor was quite good. He assigned a considerable amount of papers, but also lots and LOTS of time for assignments, only most students put them off towards the end of the class. Unlike most professors, he cared about his students' overall success in life and college, and used the material to assist us in that. Lots of handy information!

This guy is the GPOAT (greatest professor of all time). The most useful class i have ever taking (resume, accounting, and stock market introduction) and the most funny professor I've had. Out of all the classes I have taken at Nova, Mr. Corrigan is one of, if not the best professor that I've had. His lectures are very engaging and help you gain a better understanding of business. He is a pretty tough grader but gives a LOT of extra credit opportunities. If you want to actually learn, take this class.

I just had him for my Bus. 100 classes during my first semester and I couldn't recommend him more. Overall a very good teacher with lots of extra credit (there is a decent # of papers but that is true for all Bus. 100 classes) He helped me with a bunch of outside-of-class issues such as going to the dean about an issue and navigating transferring.

Best professor I have ever had, really cares about his students. All of the work you do in class is relevant to the real world and it doesn't feel like you are wasting your time in his class.
