Awesome, awesome class and prof. Really interesting - hard tests though/ Make sure to study notes and read the book. Ask questions - he likes that. I made a B in the class even tho I had mid 70s on all of my tests.

he's an awesome teacher and class but his test are difficult, pay attention in class or else you're screwed
Amazing professor and course material. Hard tests, but show up to SI b/c he gives the exams to the SI instructors to review. It helps a lot. Show up to class!! Everything you're tested over he covers in lecture-- the book's a waste of $$

Very interesting lectures!! But pay attention and take really good notes, because his tests can be really difficult if you don't (he likes to catch the slackers... and he'll talk about it :)) Take awesome notes, attend SI, and learn the material.
explains every topic in an understandable way, makes good jokes... pretty sarcastic!
great teacher....funny, smart, very sarcastic at times, pokes fun at all the "good citizens" of the classroom it really is a great class
Oh, my! He is sooo hot! He totally doesn't look a professor. He is extremely smart and funny and knows his stuff. Fair, but you must take good notes. Hard to pay attention in class with his tight bod in front of you!
amazing class. Dr De Oliver is a brilliant man with supernb working knowledge of his field. Contrary to much of the classes opinion I found him easy to understand and administered fair tests, which were not overly difficult. One of the best on campus.
Very interesting. It's kind of more like a world history class but really interesting because he's almost anti-american it seems. I guess he's sort of a hippy? Pretty good but tests are a little tough.
very easy class, laid back professor, take this class. Note: i bought the previous edition of the text book (and atlas) from amazon and studied from it and made an A in the class. Both books were $3 each.
looks like cheech from cheech and chong!
Not as easy as i expected it to be. There is lots of material to take notes on and read from the book. Tests suprrized me with many questions from random stuff from the book.
Professor DeOliver's class is great, it's not just straight up lecture, he discusses the issues we have the world, reading assignments are not alot, and if you pay attention, come to class take notes, you should do well, and the si sessions reiterate all the information. This class ROCKS..........
DR. De Oliver's class was amusing I went to every class didn't skip one but, that didn't help on test days his test are KILLER I went to SI sessions but the test were still by far the hardest I ever took as a freshman I say DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS raise your GPA first and attempt him later.
I hated him. He never stays on topic. All he does is complain about America. And his tests are super hard. Even going to SI doesn't really help.
Very cool teacher. His political views on things and sarcasim are always amusing. Tests are easy if you read and take really good notes. One of my favorite professors now.
This man is brilliant and beautiful. If you discover this class is difficult - try exercising your brain more often. I wish I could take a class a semester just to hear him speak. It is nice to know that there are still humans who possess REAL knowledge and have the passion and patience to share it.
I love this man. Beautiful, smart, and hilarious. Tests are esier if you pay attention and take good notes. The paper is killer, but he is more than willing to help you.
Very, sarcastically, funny. Extremely intellectual guy. People skills need work... That seems ironic. Tests were difficult - even with good notes.
Dr. DeOliver is a wonderfully entertaining instructor. However, going to every lecture, taking notes, and reading the book is vital to success in any of his classes. I hung on to everything he said, enjoyed his wit, read the book, and earned an "A" in the class. It's not easy but he makes it fun!
This is not a "blow-off" class. Keeping current with assignments is essential for success. Although I found this class to be more difficult than I had assumed it would be, and I often disagreed with the professor's views, Dr. deOliver is one of the best professors and made this class exciting.
He is uber-intelligent. However, he is extremely critical of America and quite cynical. He grades extremely hard on papers, but that's because he is creating intellectuals and not part of a diploma mill. You will learn whether you want to or not.
This was easiest class I've had in years. If you attend class and listen to the lectures it's an easy A. I was dumbfounded that people were making 30's on the test. He rants about how stupid a good portion of the class is - but with people making those kinds of grades - how is he wrong? Easy tests
Extremely bright and intellectual professor, very energetic and explains everything clearly. He has a sort of joyous cynicism when he lectures. Always eager to talk to students in his office. Tests are fairly standard, easy if you come to class, but for those who don't it can be really hard.
very cynical, pesimistic human being, but he will give u a unique perspective. very critical of america. i learned a lot but somehow felt cheated out of an education b/c he makes no effort at all to be objective. wording on the tests will frustate. but he is very nice and helpful.
Grade is based on 4 tests and generous curve at end of semester. Learned SO much in this class and really enjoyed it. He makes it fun... definately recommend taking him!!!
He's so funny and often gets so far off the subject matter that he must reschedule his tests. If you have an open mind, you will learn alot. If you don't, prepare to be offended. The wording on his tests are tricky. Be prepared to write a tedious paper which he will go over with a fine toothed comb!
Would not recommend this teacher if you really want to learn about geography. He often goes off on a tangent that have nothing to do with the current topic. Test require some degree of studying but its not that bad.
This class serously sucks, if you love to study about the politicis of other countries than take this class. Otherwise take another professor that actually teaches you geography.
The mans class is hard if you just dont study,My boy and I studied hours before each test and came out with C's. GO TO CLASS and READ THE BOOK then you will have no problem passing with an A. I didnt study came out with a C

Way kool guy! Even though diff. views very open to discuse points. No reading! lectures are fun!!! imagin that
Cool ass guy. Very funny and interesting. Nice lectures. Needs to dress up more. :P
long live the sweat bands and mesh t-shirts. he is halarious and very intrigued in his student's thoughts and opinions, it is fun going to class, definitely a joyus cinicism. easy, he GAVE me my grade...
Awesome guy! He is entertaining and will have you cracking up the entire time. Easy class as long as you take notes during his lectures.
Very fun professor and don't get him started on Bush! Speaks his mind and likes the class to do the same. MUST take good notes to pass tests. Nice butt!
Prof. De Oliver's class was so much fun. One of the very few classes I've had that I actually look forward to going to.
Definitely one of THE best geography professors i've had so far. I'm not a fan of geograophy but he makes the class interesting and fun. He knows his stuff! Great guy. Definitely take his class!
he was an awesome teacher! he is a really funny guy who covers everything you need to know in lectures. i didnt own a book and still got an A by taking very detailed notes. if you can take good notes and study them the class is a breeze.
excellent prof. 2nd class with him. super intellegent. tests are scantron but difficult b/c they are short (30-40 ?s). readings are interesting and not too numerous. GREAT curve at end of class. if you want to learn, take his course you won't regret it.
Very difficult. Tests are hard, wordy, and confusing. Couldn't contact when needed, didn't return calls. Grades w/ curve so you don't feel too stupid after tests. Grade avg consists of 4: a test, a midterm, ONE paper, and the final. Notes galore w/ tangents! Uses lots of VA's, assigns stacks of readings, and doesn't teach too much from textbook.
Greatest teacher ever period. Teaches you way more than just Geography. Very interesting class because he isn't afraid to speak his mind or always being politicaly correct. Most of test questions are from the book. Take him if you have the chance no matter what the class is. You will learn more about this world than you can ever imagine.
He is very helpful. I was always a little lost in class but then I'd ask him and he was more than willing to help. He's pretty good-looking,too.
His class is pretty easy. All you really have to do is take good notes. I plan on taking more classes with him in the future.
the best and that's that! If anyone knows what's up with the sweat band please let me know!
Class was a lot harder than I expected it to be. Tests are wordy and confusing. SI sessions really helped!! Professor is great, class is difficult.
It's almost essential to be in class to pass the course, but every class was very interesting and intriguing. Professor de Oliver has a very good grasp on world issues and the underlying causes of them and I would definitely recommend his class to anyone
He is deffinately the best teacher I have ever had in my life. He is a world of knowledge. If you really want to learn and change your vision about a lot of issues in the world, take his class!!!
He's a really funny guy and has a great understanding of world issues; he's great at explaining the causes in detail....be prepared to take really detailed notes. His class was a good time, I actually looked forward to going. Tests are brutal, but as long as you take good notes and read the book you'll do fine.
3rd class w/ him. excellent prof. somewhat hard, but fair. if you come to class w/ an open mind, you'll learn a lot. tests are somewhat difficult - most ?s come from lecture w/ a few text ?s. the only class i continuously get b's rather than a's - but its worth it b/c he teaches so well. i highly recommend him.
Show up and take good notes! Most lectures include a "rant" over the Bush Admin, US Govt policy, religion, etc.; any institution is fair game. He gets on the same topic again and again, which begins to get old by mid-term. This prof is not for the thin-skinned or the faint-of-heart. He is very helpful though and wants to see students succeed.
A most excellent individual. A welcome respite amongst the hum-drum world of all my other classes. He is a brilliant man and quite clever in his humor. You will never forget him, seriously. and the work is definently worth a whole semester of him. Take this class, and don't skip class--as tempting as it may be--it is very necessary for an A. enjoy.
So funny!!! I would swear Dr. De Oliver wrote some of these comments himself! This is class is not an easy A. You have to show up and take notes. The test questions are long, wordy, and confusing.
DeOliver truly is brilliant. He really opened my eyes, esp. to politics (something i had no interest in before taking his classes.) His classes are not easy, but are very enlightening. Sometimes your education is worth more than your GPA, and his classes justify that.
De Oliver is hilarious! I miss his headband & mesh shirts. No other prof has style like he does. I found the tests to be easy, I went to class most days, paid attn and took notes. I recommend going to SI if he has it, it really did help me. I was on track to make an A but slacked off near the end. Highly opinionated, but that's part of his charm!
He is a brilliant man, he should be named president of the U.S.
I really didn't get much out of this class except a big fat F. The test questions are difficult almost as though he did it on purpose. If taking Geo. of Latin America you'll write a paper at the end that might boost your grade, but it did not help with me. Four of the people that sat around me were smarter and dropped. Oops for me.
Prof. DeOliver is great. This class is not that hard, come to class, take notes and read your text, all stuff you should be doing by now in COLLEGE. Ask questions, he loves to pontificate in front of the class. Put in a mediocre effort and you should get a B.
Dr. De Oliver is definitely one of the best professors. He is highly intelligent, and I actually always looked forward to going to his classes, because every time I went, I learned so much about the world. Dr. De Oliver is definitely the kind of person that this country needs as a president!
He knows what he's talkin about everytime he lectures and can answer any question you have...regardless, he knows the answer and explains it clearly.
Ok, this guy is a VERY intelligent, wise man. He REALLY knows our world and whats going on in it. Heres the downside, dont take him if you are just trying to get an A to boost your gpa. There are only 4 grades-3 tests and the Final, and usually, the majority of the class fails them because they are way too wordy and confusing. An overall fun class.
Headband strapped across the forehead, Sleeves rolled high, and tight 80s jeans; Nobody beats the fashion of DeOliver. But the man can cheat like Jesus! Even if you dont take his classes, just go sit in one of his lectures. ..Youre bound to return.
Dr. DeOliver is fantastic. Even though I wound up with a C, you will learn quite a bit, and you will get your more than your money's worth. The grade you earn is dependent entirely on the effort you put into the class and your reception and ability to be open to new ideas. If so, you will do well. Note: Attendance not mandatory, but do attend.
Dr. De Oliver is the BEST professor i've had so far!! Class is very entertaining. Have to go to class to get a good grade!!!! 70% of the test material in his lectures!! Very helpfull and understanding!! TAKE HIM!!!!
A trip in all classes all the time. He has a very unique perspective that makes you question the motive of what you know as the norm in the real world from politics to economics.
Great class. There was a good deal of information, but I don't really see why people find it that difficult? Majority of information on exams was from lecture; attend class, probably do well. Don't suggest the class for people who skip or who are extremely religious and/or patriotic - tends to make sarcastic remarks about both the gov and religion.
Dr. De Oliver is a tough professor but you learn a lot about the material and he tends to be quite humorous and many still find him funny, even if they are slightly insulted. He is worth taking at least once.
Great Teacher! Makes you think outside of the box. Very cynical, but challenges what you believe. If religious (like me) be prepared to endure a little bit of criticism but dont be afraid to stand up for what you believe (religion, morals, etc) He respects those who challenge him although he will win most of the time. Easy test, be stupid to fail
This prof is EASILY the BEST I have ever had so far in my college experience, and im a junior. He is superb, if you want to get to be in easily one of the top 10 prof wise classes at UTSA, take De Oliver, just wonderful, and im a libertarian btw, yet still liked his class immensely.
Excellent. He is great. Very interesting, engaging lectures. Quite possibly the best prof on campus. This guy is genius. Take him!
He's the best professor I've had by far. He makes many that seem outrageous, but if you look into them they are backed by solid proof. Lectures were fact-based objective and he tears into the the established world powers by revealing how they operate. If you are "conservative" or "liberal" you will probably be offended but the truth is what it is.
Biggest arrogant ever. Worst professor on campus, goes too fast, and jumps from one subject to another. Soooo depressing, he thinks he is always right. He is so dirty looking, for some body that brags having a PhD, he has no style.
Entering my Junior year now, De Oliver is a professor you will not forget and is the reason I will be minoring in Geography. Great professor and definitely opens your mind. I extremly reccomend the course.
Great class! He says some pretty crazy stuff, but it was always amusing. Going to class is definitely recommended because lots of what he says in class is quoted on the test, which helps. Plus, you don't get the full effect if you don't see him in person! Definitely recommend him!
The worst professor ever. I would not recommend taking this class with this professor. He barely touched upon the information found on the tests. There is alot of reading from the text and other sources. There was a 10 page paper that could result in negative points. There was a team presentation due. Too much work and no grade leniency
Dr. DeOliver is by far the best professor ever! He definately knows how to keep the class in stitches throughout his lectures. Any negative feedback about him is from odious undergrads who failed to make the grade, and most likely dropped after the first exam. I've taken him for four different classes. I definately recommend him.
When De Oliver teaches he is great. But sometimes he goes off on his political and religious ideologies and you just wish he would just continue with the material. He sometimes provokes students to speak after he says something outrages. Be prepared to be offended. Go to class and you will be ok. He has test before holidays...Beware
Prof De Oliver is one of a kind....will hardly find a professor like him. He knows how to keep class interested and knows what he teaches very well. Go to class is fun (take good notes), and read text (short chapters) you will do fine. You will learn a lot in his class...love this professor
His teaching method is very unique! He keeps you interested in his lectures whether or not you have any interest in the subject. Class attendance is not mandatory but is necessary to grasp the subject matter
DeOliver has very interesting lectures. Most questions on tests are from lectures. Class is fun but the test questions are very difficult. Make sure you study notes. Best to record lectures and listen to them several times. Know the names of places, people, and religions. Tests questions are designed to confuse but his grading if fair. Recommend hi
This has been the toughest class I have taken in my collegiate career. If you plan to go to grad school, this is a perfect warm up class to get you ready.
Dr. DeOliver is just simply amazing. I took his class as a senior and wished I could have learned more from him earlier on!
Cynical, boring lectures key to his four exams. He used minimal information from the book but will pull some questions from areas he didn?t cover at all in the class. Uses tricky word choices. First three exams had class averages of 67, 70, 65. Do not recommend.
Prof. DeOliver was great! He was very interesting and always expresses his views and challenges students to do so as well. He is very blunt and sarcastic, but everything he says makes sense and is backed by proof. He blew my mind with some of the things he said and I loved it. Everything he says is on the test, so listen and take good notes!
Other people rate him as a little difficult, but fair. in reality he was supposed to curve our grades bc so many people had no idea what he was ranting about. Seriously believe he was playing favorites with final grades. Spent whole class periods arguing with a single student and never getting to info we needed to know. AVOID.
Tough and he actually makes you learn the information, but his class is extremely interesting and really makes you think about the world. Don't take if you want an easy class. IF you have a B around 83,84,85 you will get an A with the curve.
Really awesome class if you attend, De Oliver is wonderful and hilarious, but it's not easy. Class grade is only 4 tests, questions are about 65% lecture, 35% from boring text book. Not an easy A, in face seems almost impossible. But the information you learn is worth it perhaps.
In my entire college career, De Oliver is the best teacher I have ever had. I took De Oliver for Political Geography, and it was the best class I have ever taken. I am not a geography student, but I learned so much in that class it is ridiculous. If I had the opportunity, I would take him again in a heart beat.
This is class is really interesting and easy if you attend his lectures. Professor DeOliver is kind of eccentric, but his class is never boring. He points out what will be on the test and holds review sessions. Textbook questions are very minimal on the test. His class will definitely wake you up in the morning!
Dr. DeOliver is absolutely the best teacher I have every had.He is a passionate and unorthodox genius. I learned more about the world in this class than the rest of my education combined.Attend every lecture and take really good notes, work hard and you will get an A. Otherwise this is a hard class. This guy changed my life.
Miguel De Oiver, knows his subject! He doesn't take attendance but YOU NEED to come to clas. He NEVER refers to the book or the articles, but they are on the tests! I've taken GRG 1023 and its totally different. This class is more advance but your going to enjoy it and learn more about the world then you knew. TAKE HIM!!
attendance is imperative as 80% of test is lecture-based. tests shouldn't be too hard if you take GOOD notes (slideshows/lectures; does not put slideshows on blackboard) - he even has reviews before each test. he's pretty funny, if you're into the whole pessimistic sarcasm thing. i enjoyed this class and truly learned a lot
Awesome class, awesome professor. He's really good at making the lectures interesting and very helpful if you have any questions. The tests were based almost completely on the lectures and the final grade was just the average of the 4 tests which were easy if you take good notes and study them. I would love to take him for another class.
Dr.de Oliver is an awesome teacher and person. I love his classes and head band !!!
Loved him! He's brilliant and hilarious. Makes class interesting. He isn't very organized as far as his lectures but I really enjoyed his class and his teaching style.
He is an absolutely amazing professor. He is brilliant and makes his class really fun.
Over all I received a lot of information in this course, but I do not like how we were not given any assignments to do and be able to maintain a grade.
Really hard class, be prepared to write evrything he says. He never answer emails, his teaching style and test do not match. Need the b ook for the test. Avoid him
Not a fun class at all. His lectures are somewhat interesting, but it was torture getting through this semester. Requires a position paper with all kinds of WEIRD guidelines and quirks (i.e. - 11pt font). Knowledgable and interesting, but not a class for me. Attendance required to do well on the test. Class averages around 60
This class is very beneficial for people who are interested in the history of the world but he tends to go off on tangents which is actually an enjoyable part of the class because he expresses all of his views. He has pretty dark sense of humor and will say "whatever" about one hundred times every class but overall this class was interesting.
This is one of the WORST professors I have ever taken in my entire college career. Very disorganized and doesn't post any grades so you have no idea how your doing in class because he says he will "curve" test. I wouldn't recommend this professor to my worst enemy. Test were over 100's of pages of articles and book chapters with little direction
This class was not easy, but if you put in effort and study you will get an A. His tests can be hard, but if you go to the SI sessions and his office hours he will provide a very accurate review for the test. No homework, only tests. Each test is 25% of your grade. He is pretty funny and interesting to listen to! Must read textbook!!
This professor is very knowledgable. His lectures are very interesting and encourages class participation and is open to everyone's opinion. Take notes during class and attend SI sessions! The professor holds a review lecture right before each test and basically tells you the specific things you need to know for the test. You need to attend class.
Love this class, no homework, just 4 exams. The exams can be pretty tough, but he grades on a curve. Didn't know what to expect with a GRG class, but he makes it interesting. I love his lectures that cover every thing from regional geography and and relates it to religion, politics, history and world affairs. Very interesting class.
the most disappointing professor I've had yet. Great teaching structure (teaches history/politics, religion and geography by regions) and has no homework, straight notes and tests. However, he continuously goes off-topic is a horrible time manager. Also says tests will have a curve; but you'll never know your grade until the class ends. terrible!
I attended every class and a few SI, but struggled with this professor. He makes tests unnecessarily difficult. Every exam had a very low class average. He talks about curving grades but does not post any grades or update blackboard at all during the semester. No quizzes or homework to boost grade, 3 exams make up total overall grade at 33% each.
Very interesting lectures, his test are everything he says in lecture. Has review sessions before every test which helps a lot!
As long as you come to class and listen, then you'll pass. I didn't read any of the book, never studied, and I ended up with a B. He gave extra credit for attendance because it annoyed him how few people showed up for lectures but attended test days.
His lectures are amazinghe's hilarious! While he *strongly* recommends that you read both all his assigned readings and the textbook, I barely did either and got an A in the course. As long as you show up and take good notes, you'll do fine on the tests. The position paper is tricky, but if you give a decent effort and write well, he'll pass you.
Worst professor I ever had. Showed flashes of a mad genius, but was just a waste of time. His lectures and readings would have nothing to do with his tests, it was bizarre. Me and 6 guys used to pool money some classes ($2 each) to see how many times he would say "By and large" and "for all intents and purposes." in 50 minutes, 10+ times
He is hilarious, says things as they are, does not use blackboard, says "Whatever" many many times, take his test during class because if you go to the office to take the test they will lose your test. Rarely answers back e-mails, be open minded for everything. If you get offended really quick about politics, religion, avoid him. great teacher.
Not the best geography professor here. Loses focus on what hes talking about and will ramble for most of the class if he has the choice. No iclicker but does take attendance for extra credit. Doesnt get you ready for your exams and leaves it more to the SIs to teach you the content.
This professor is one of the worst professors I've had since community college. He basically just rambles the whole time and it's hard to keep track of what he's talking about. There are LOTS of reading assignments and the tests are pretty hard. Says his class is easy but we all know it ain't. I honestly would not take him if you have the choice.
I recommend you COMPLETELY avoid this professor. The worst professor I have ever encountered. He doesnt know how to grade when it comes to the position paper. He writes the most condescending and rudest comments on your paper making you feel stupid, looking at every detail saying you did everything wrong even if you go based of the guideline.
By far the worst rudest unkind professor I have come across in my years at two universities. Just as others said he rambles and rambles. Does not reply to email and gives a personal email to certain students. Stay away!
There was only 3 tests as the only grades the whole semester, and he released all 20 something lectures at once, so it's up to you to break up those by week and pace yourself. It's REALLY on you to make a good grade.
Course consists of 5 tests each accounting for 20% of your grade. He gives lectures that dont provide all the information needed for the tests. Doesnt respond to emails.
5 exams at 20% each. The professor can go off topic fairly often but it's funny and often still related to the topic at hand just at a much higher level than expected for a freshman course. Watching all lectures are enough to get an A in the class.
you HAVE to watch all lectures, but even that won't help you. Even if you take 9 pages of notes. He words all questions very weird and just doesn't make sense half the time. He never responds to emails even when he gives you a completely different email to use. Avoid this professor at all costs.
This class consists of 5 EXTREMELY confusing tests. I watched every single lecture he posted and took notes as well but was still faced with a poor grade. The test questions were sometimes incomprehensible and an overall eyesore. It was a heartache taking this class trying my hardest and nearly failing it. (I am personally a bad test taker.)
Impossible class. If someone tells you they have passed, they probably cheated. You can put the hours of work in watching all lectures and reading all the content and studying. But when test day comes around you will still end up cluelss on the exam. Sucks since your whole grade is made up of the 5 exams only. Don't recommend at all.
Made the lecture extremely long. Question based off professor not books
Condescending, horrible lectures, test wording is confusing, tons of additional readings. Do not take this professor you will regret it.
His tests themselves are not that bad but the paper was horrible. When he gave us back the grades he was rude and condescending, he made up his own way of citing things & got mad we didn't get it right. He literally is rude for no reason. If you value peace of mind do not take him I can not state enough how rude he is. Never again will I take him.
This entirely asynchronous class has 3 exams and 1 paper. The syllabus and lectures are outdated. The only item the professor grades, the paper is harshly graded, and the approved topics are outdated. He invented his own citation method and heavily penalizes incorrect use. The Professor is lazy and unorganized I would avoid at all costs.
His final papers guideline are some of the most pretentious I have ever seen. He also created his own form of APA style referencing, so using APA style as it is taught will result in the loss of points. Oh, he also told me that he thinks I struggle with English grammar due to a handful of incorrect capitalizations and compared me to a sloth.
Honestly an obnoxious person. I can't tell if he is trying to be funny but his sarcasm makes no sense and is annoying. Would write vague emails and act all high and mighty and be overdramatic. He tries to grade to be tough but he really seems to be doing this as some way to feel better about himself. His lectures are lazy and poor effort.
This professor is okay/blunt. There is 3 exams and a paper for a grade for the whole course. You MUST listen to the long video lectures to help pass the course. The position paper is HARD- and there is a 14-page guideline you must read on how to write the paper correctly. Even then- you may still probably fail the paper part. STUDY for your exams.
For the final paper, he made up his own citation style, forced us to use it, and it made me want to KMS. Not MLA, not APA, not Chicago, HIS OWN CITATION STYLE. Talk about making life difficult for your students and unnecessary work.
The professor can be blunt and the workload is heavy, but unstuckstudy helped me prep for the tough exams and paper. Attend lectures, study diligently, and you'll get through this class.
Three exams and a essay. “Blunt” is what people are calling him but honestly the way he grades is just being an ass no student deserves to be treated like this. CHOOSE ANOTHER PROFESSOR!!
He is very blunt and not very warm. BUT I enjoyed his videos. He grades very critically on papers so be aware. He also does not enter grades in until the VERY last minute which was anxiety inducing. But he does respond pretty fast to emails.
There are three exams and a paper for a grade for the whole course, that's your warning! He makes the modules very clear, and his syllabus was very convenient as a student to navigate so props to him. I had no issues with his class until the position paper... 7 pages, 8 sources, and a 14 page guideline that honestly left me more confused.
