It was such a surprise to me when those chose not to come to class and were mad at Prof Andler when they could not make anything up (class policy no late work) welcome to college, this is not rocket science---Show up to class, what a novel idea

I have mixed feelings for Mike. He is a great teacher and really really gives you and appreciation for the field. But he doesnt explain things very well. Tests are very in depth but if you just answer the question he usually gives you full credit. I do feel he should remind class when projects are due. Show up to class and you will do well.

Andler is one of the best professors ive ever had. super nice, funny, really helpful when needed. directions on assignments can be pretty vague sometimes. everything is worth a bajillion point so just make sure you do all the assignments and you'll be fine! HIGHLY RECOMENDED

I really enjoy Prof. Andler's teaching style. No B.S., everything is layed out there for you...and no suprises. Prof Andler is THE MAN!

Mike is a great teacher! He really knows what he is talking about, and helps you understand as well. Easy class, but very interesting.

Architectural CAD is probably the hardest class I have ever taken, but one of the best. We go through 995 pages in roughly 8.5 weeks. Prof Andler knows his stuff and makes even that much to do/read/follow enjoyable. I have had other CM and Engineering classes with him and he doesn't pull ANY surprises. Highly Reccomend!

Architectural CAD with Prof Andler is a GREAT class! In the course of the quarter you create a good-sized commercial building(with structural /electrical/interior/exterior/landscaping/and other components; its SO cool! Then you create a custom home and it's great because you have two drawings as a take-away from the class for internship or FT work!

What a GREAT Professor! I am soo happy that I took this class! Great Job! You actually learn life-long skills and it is INTERESTING!!! I wish that I would have had the class earlier on in my college career because I would have majored in one of IET's majors! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Andler is an awesome professor. I wouldn't call this class easy, but if you just show up everyday like a big kid he tells you what will be on every single test. His tests felt like a marathon because they were so long but this professor sets you up to succeed in his class rather than fail so it was doable. It is an awesome class to take!

IET 161 isn't hard because of the stuff you have to learn, its just a lot of work but so worth it. one of my favorite classes i've every had. you learn some many things you can do with cad! Andler is great too! very helpful and funny!

Fun class. Definitely a good chunk of outside homework and projects. However, Professor Andler will go over your projects with you ahead of time to review them for max points; doesn't get much better than that. Definitely a fun class to take.

My FAVORITE professor and class ever!! We built a 2-car garage from the foundation to the enclosure in placing the sheathing! Prof Andler is so calm, knows his stuff in and out, and is such a great asset to the CMGT program at CWU! Thanks for a GREAT class!

Professor Andler is by far the best and my favorite and Central. His class, IET 101 should be in a section of its own with the required Breadth Courses for EVERYONE to take. This class is a GREAT intro to how Engineering, Construction, and Technology influence ALL OF US! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We cover A LOT of material but the daily homework assignments and lectures are really helpful in understanding the language of the insurance world. Show up and do the work and you will BE FINE! Risk & Insurance with Prof Andler was a great intro/overview of the world of insurance and risk management. He is really passionate about his teaching and it shows. He has a great way of bringing in personal experiences that helps with the dry parts of the subject. Highly Recommend!! I had him for a couple other classes would love to have more!

Andler is AWESOME. In IET101, you learn about the telephone system, cars, shop equipment, plus many other things, and he makes technical stuff easy to understand. IET161 is a class on the CAD program Revit, which is mostly self-taught, but Andler is there to help if you get stuck. However, he is VERY strict on attendance, so don’t miss class.

IET 101 is honestly one of the few classes that I will retain the material learned and use it in the future. Prof Andler is my favorite professor at CWU, hands-down! He is so passionate about his teaching and I have a new major because of him! Show up and do the work and you'll be fine, so hard for may to understand! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!THANKS PROF!

I know someone in the online class and it is taught just like the in-person section of 101. Highly Rated! Maybe it's time to work for once!

I am not sure what the last student is thinking with the IET 101 online course. I am in this this class and it is a great class. Every lecture is very informative and is useful in life! The course is very well organized and put together. Great class, LOTS of work, but great class!

This was my favorite class at Central. Professor Andler genuinely cared for his students and made sure everyone understood the information he was teaching. If you're thinking about taking this class as a gen ed, do yourself a favor and take this class. By far the best decision I've made regarding registering for classes!

He gives you a ton of homework and it never lets up...but the good news is that he grades fairly easy. Stay on top of the course work and you will be good...he gives WAY more homework than any prof I have ever had (and I am a senior).

Honestly one of the best and nicest professors I have had at CWU (and I am a senior). I had Prof. Andler last Spring and his IET 101 class should be required for everyone. His lectures are great and his tests can be tough and are long, but he pulls no surprises! Take this class and this guy if you can!

I had Prof. Andler as my summer internship advisor for my safety and health internship. I was out of state this summer and away from my family and Prof Andler was there to help me with a lot of different things and I really do appreciate his help. Thanks!

Prof Andler is honestly one of the best I have had at Central and I have been here for 7 years. He is a great CMGT professor and I have had him for 4 classes now and absolutely enjoy everyone! I hear that he is switching more to SHM and I REALLY hope he still teaches the CMGT and IET classes that he has now.

Great class, not sure where the last comment is coming from, very clear and interesting assignments. I think for a 5 credit university level course this class is great. There is daily work but you have until Sunday at 10 to submit it.

Lots of work.I count 52 graded assignments and tests. Here's how I got an A+ in his class. Don't turn-in assignments late, try to finish the daily assignments daily, work hard on answering all question on his study guides prior to tests (plus you'll use them for your final), always reach out to him if you need help (he is good at responding back).

Andler is one of the best instructors I've had, EVER. He's very knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics, presents information in an easy-to-understand manner, and genuinely cares about his students. An all-around great guy, and I would HIGHLY recommend taking IET 101 from him if you are at all curious about industrial or engineering fields.

He is a great professor and really wants students to succeed. Take notes in class because the exact questions will be on the tests and you get a note card for every one. If you have questions go talk to him he is very helpful outside the classroom as well.

Andler is an awesome teacher, does notes everyday and his exams are based off of them completely. Also had him for CMGT 320, great overall guy.

Super easy class if you take notes. His study guides are basically question for question test prep. Literally everything I studied from his guide was asked. Show up, listen a little, and you'll pass.

Prof Andler is awesome. He makes you work for the class, but its not to difficult. Everything he taught is applicable to the real-world and he makes the class fun and interesting. I definitely recommend this class for your Gen-Ed.

He's my favorite teacher so far here at Central. His classes are mostly lectures but they are on interesting things and if you do solid work he will give you an A. 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic professor! This is the first class I have taken with him, and I would gladly take more. He really cares about the students and makes sure to answer any and all questions and goes over the material very thoroughly in his presentations so everyone will know it. His lectures are always interesting and there is never a dull moment in class.

Lots of homework on the daily, and two or three bigger projects. Learned a lot, there was a lot to explore and the Professor did a great job of keeping in touch and grading things in a timely manner. He also gave the class extra credit opportunities, which was great and emailed some extra information, links, and resources to different careers.

I am NOT in anyway a future construction worker, i took this class just because i needed it for a GenEd and it was honestly pretty easy. Lots of busy work, but all the tests you take are just a literal reflection of the daily assignments you've done up to that point. I would take his class for sure.

Watch for incorrect grading on exams. I challenged 3 times, but he was quick to respond and make the corrections. He responds quickly to emails. I look forward to taking more classes with him.

Fantastic professor. I had his online class back in Winter 2020 and he was awesome. Not too much homework and the tests were just covering what you did. Loved this class.

Mr. Andler was an amazing professor! He really cares about his students and responds to emails very quickly. You do not have to show up to class everyday but should not most of your reading on the chapters in order to get a good grade on the weekly quizzes. Classes were Mon - Thu and assignments were posted Fri - Sun.
