Very calm, chill teacher. Class is extremely easy. Homework assignments are gone over next class session he is extremely helpful and will help you on anything that you need.

Dr.B is the best math teacher I'v taken thus far. I'm older and can't remember much about math in school. Dr. B truly cares if you get it. He'll stay late, come early or what ever he can do to help you. Aske q's cuz he won't stop till u get it. He'll do what ever is needed for his students to succeed. If u remeber his "scales" example u'll do fine.

MIRACLE WORKER! I took him for Developmental Algebra and he was just a superstar. I'm TERRIBLE at Math and basically had to learn algebra all over again, but he broke it down in the easiest way he could. Very patient and answered every question asked. Very generous with extra credit! Ended up passing with a B in my absolute worst subject! Take him!

Patient teacher, the practice tests are very helpful - material mirrors the tests. Will repeatedly answer all questions, continuously asks if you understand. You MUST make the effort. Suggestion- Do all the homework (ONLINE) in the math lab for TONS of extra credit points. The online program is a must. DO NOT do paper homework, you will regret it.

Professor Barad is the first professor that I've ever taken who has a problem with their voice and uses a microphone during class. He is a good teacher, just doesn't fit my own teaching style. He doesn't use the textbook either. He is super nice and always willing to help.

AMAZING! If you are like me and had a bad math experience with math before, this is the class for you! You do have to do homework and PAY ATTENTION in lectures. Professor Barad is the best math professor at PBSC (PGA campus). I'm very bad at math and always fail it on the first try. So I took MAT1033 with him and was able to pass with a B. He really cares about his students, won't move on to the next topic until everyone gets it and he also gives extra credit to help. Only 5 tests & 1 final and drops lowes

Professor Barad gave me a whole new perspective on math. I was one of those kids who were never good at math and always struggled to catch up. This is the first time I passed math higher than a C. The class was easy, as long as you show up and respect the professor by paying attention. The practice quizzes were almost identical to the actual tests, and he takes the time to make sure everyone gets it before moving on. However, Dr. B will drop you from his class if you are consistently absent - this happened to several people this semester.

Professor B is the best math professor at PBSC Gardens Campus. I took him over the summer for Intermediate and this fall for Coll Alg & passed both classes. He cares about his students and is there to help. He gives out practices tests bef each exam so you know what to expect. Test are same as practice. Only 5 exams and he drops your lowest grade

Mr. Barad is a professor who will go out of his way to make sure you understand what you are taught. He provides tons of extra credit opportunities and creates study guides that are practically the same as the test you will receive. Don't recommend skipping, each class is important for each class is where you'll learn a new lesson. Recommend 10/10

Professor B was great! I took quantitative reasoning at night and we rarely left class early only becuase there is so much to cover in a short amount of time and he won;t move on until everyone gets it. He graded very fairly, gave reviews before each exam (reviews harer than exams), offers extra credit, great with emailing, tough on attendance.

Michael Barad was a godsend. You would be a fool not to pick him. I struggled with math in my life. I never understood math being in ESE courses in High School. I would write a hell of a lot more, but due to the character limit I cannot. I took MAT0022, a developmental course. And I took MAT1033c this term, and now I'm taking Barad in the fall.

The (math whisperer) has honestly been one of my favorite teachers to this day. He may have a bit of difficulty speaking but he is never shy to repeat things or go back over anything you may have missed. Not only does he allow you to come into his other classes for extra learning, he offers you tube videos a former student made as an extra study

Im really shocked by the recent negative reviews I'm seeing. He really is the best math instructor I've ever had. He's very patient, no question is a dumb question to him. Also he gives us all practice tests with a link to video's that show you how to complete each problem step by step incase you get stuck. Do those and you'll be fine.

I am DEFINITELY not a math student and Dr. B has helped me immensely! He has an 80% passing rate since he teaches intermediate algebra so much. He really cares and will do everything he can to help you pass, however, you do have to put in work because it is a difficult subject for most.

One of the best professors I have had! This is a tough course and you have to work hard in order to pass. However, he is great at explaining the material in a way that you understand it. There are extra credit opportunities, plus he gives you practice tests and other resources to help you pass the exams. If you show up and study, you will do well.

I really enjoyed this course! After the 1st or 2nd class, you get used to his teaching style and the rest of the class goes well. He is clear and his handwriting is neat. He genuinely wants you to pass. Do not miss class! The tests do get progressively harder because the material gets harder, because the material is new. I would take him again!

I took Dr.B for MAC1105 online during the summer and don't regret it. He explains everything and provides a lot of materials (videos, extra practice problems, etc) to study with. He is up for answering any students question and always gave a practice exam before each exam. He was also very fast in answering emails and overall was awesome teacher.

Honestly, some of these rating are very harsh. This professor has a speech impediment which some can find annoying or hard to understand but you get used to it. He is very flexible with the homework which is all on MYMATHLAB and for exams its on Lockdown Browser but if you do his practice tests which he provides for every lesson youll do great.
