He is such a nice guy and is easy to learn from. The quizzes are easy and he lets us know what's on them so we can be prepared. Also lets us out early - definitely a plus!! Take him!
Incompetant fool, take this man if you wish be become more stupid than you were before this class. Uses vague and non-relating examples.
"No, it's not in the slides, it might be in the text.... I don't know" - actual quote after something he said something too quickly to jot down in our notes.
Nice guy, funny and teaches well. Tests are easy and class goes by fast.
he is kinda funny but he knows what he wants and if you dont read his mind you wont do well
I think this class builds a great business foundation. You cover all aspects of business. Group projects and current events make up grade. Class discussions are off and on good.
The class overall was definately helpful especially since it sets a foundation for you regardless of your major. You will use the information again.
we only had a couple of papers to do plus the current events...no quizzes...expects a lot on the presentations so prepare well. he's a nice guy but there aren't a lot of grades so it really depends on how well you do on your current events and papers. easy class otherwise.
Probably the best OM teacher you can get. Quizzes are easy if you study a little, and the rest of the class is easy as well. A must take.
Nice guy, average professor. Comes off as cocky at first but he's fine once you get to know him. Clearly doesnt care about what he's teaching and knows you dont either. Recommended.
TILF!
Very good professor, who does his best with a subject that is misery in a classroom. Has a good sense of humor, so he can make class go by slightly faster.
This dude rocked. First day of class he seemed to be strict but the guy is so laid back. Look over slides and get a 4.0. Take this guy whenever you can. He clearly just doesnt care.
Knows exactly what he wants in terms of bibliography and set-up of the paper. He handed us a paper with a 95 on it and we asked what was wrong(since there were no comments written on it) and he just said that it wasn't perfect so it didn't get a 100. Wicked boring class, but that'll probably be the same with any professor.
Class isnt that hard if you do your work. Bravo is a very reasonable guy and doesnt expect to much or to little from you in his class.
I do not think he knows a lot about management. But he is so easy, you just feel like taking his class over and over again.
SO awesome, so easy, love the group finals, love the class, love the teacher, and he's cute what more could you want from a teacher? PERFECT GB301 experience
2 group quizzes and a group final! only other assignment is a current events paper. never opened the book, quizzes and final are off of the slides that he makes.
Bravo's class is easy. The current events paper is a joke and an easy A. The (2) quizes and finals were group-activities and easy. Bravo is a fun teacher in class too. However, if you actually care about OM it is clear that the 301 curriculum is a joke and that Bravo has zero passion for the subject or teaching it to you. Easy, but learn little.
2 group tests and a final on your own. The first test wasn't hard at all. As long as everyone in your group studies and comes to class on time the day of the test, you will do fine. Probably the best teacher to take for the project out of the three as well. If you meet with him about the project, he is very helpful!
Yes he is an easy teacher but it is not worth it!!!!!He can not teach, he will not respect you views, if you answer his questions he will just say "no" and then he will answer his own question exactly the same way you did with slightly different wording. He doesn't know what he's talking about. If you want to learn and participate avoid him!
the man
Great prof. Fosters discussion, respectful of students and their comments. Lots of groupwork, fairly easy grader. Textbook rarely used. Great class, great prof!
Quizzes are entirely from class notes. Don't bother with textbook.
Easy professor, you'll do fun things in class. Everyone gets A's on papers. Just participate in class and you're good. Can get boring because things are dragged out and common sense, but it's easy so it's fine.
Fairly decent instructor. its hard for me to assess how well he conveyed the subject matter, as I knew most of it prior to the class, but he is a fair grader and a good instructor.
Nice guy. Respects students and makes lectures funny. He gets to know you and if you ever have a question he is there to answer them. Wants you to do well and is easy to get along with. Very fair. Definitely take him as professor, there is nothing bad to say about him!
Engaging, funny professor. Uses helpful classroom activities to solidify theories. I found the operations ideas and way of thinking a little difficult to grasp at times, but he does a good job of explaining everything. He doesn't share stories (he's somewhat closed off about his own experiences) but will discuss what other companies are doing.
GB 301 - OM. Bravo is a really nice guy and loves teaching. Class is kinda dull but he tries to keep it interesting. The material is ridiculously simple and if you put in even the slightest effort you can get a 4.0 in the class. However, most students don't care cause its management and end up doing alright anyway. Definitely worth taking.
although he was a nice guy. I felt the tests where unfair and tricky. I'm glad I switched Professors. He thinks he's smarter than everyone. I DON'T RECOMMEND HIM AT ALL.
NOT A GOOD PROFESSOR AT ALL. not a fair grader, you think you're doing well the whole semester to find out. certain areas of grading are professor based and never gives you fair credit. DONT TAKE
Seemed like a nice/ chill guy at first and most of his ratings were really good, but I wasnt a fan at all.
Not sure about the comments below..Professor Bravo can be a little boring sometimes...but he is a great professor he cares about students success...take himm
If you're not a management major and don't want to put any effort towards 214, then he's your guy. Didn't read the book, got 100-80-80-60 on the quizzes, barely studied for the final and did ok. He grades fairly on the course project
Good professor, makes the material interesting. Can be a bit of a stickler, but he outlines what he expects very clearly from the start. Has a good class participation system. Work load is fairly high.
Bravo was a really good teacher. Warning, he does give pop quizzes so make sure you do the reading. However, if you do the reading they're not hard. Also, he wants specific things in the group papers so follow his guidelines and cite everything. But overall he made the class interesting even though the material was a little boring sometimes.
No idea why people speak so highly of him. I'm generally a good student, I have a 3.7 average but this teacher was AWFUL and I did very poorly in his class.
Easiest professor ever. Doesn't care about formatting or "fluff" in papers, just likes everything easy & straight to the point. Explicit about what he wants to see on each paper, if you deliver, it's an easy A. Exams are tougher, definitely take the time to study hard & review key topics/processes.
Bravo is a great professor. He tells you exactly what he expects of you before each assignment. He teaches the material well and lets the class out early a good amount of the time. He can be pretty funny at times too. If you study a lot for the operations test and are able to work well with your group, you should be able to pull out a 3.7 or 4.0
Just do what he wants and you'll do fine. He wants concise things for the project which is awesome. No fluff. Good guy
He's a cool guy, pretty funny. Overuses McDonald's in his class examples. Papers are an easy A if you follow what he says; he's kind of a jerk to those who don't. Tests are harder, plan to dedicate hours of studying if you want to do well on them.
Bravo's a good professor when it comes to teaching and he tries to crack jokes every now and then, but he is a very tough grader when it comes to the group projects.
Just do exactly what he says on the assignment sheet and you get at least a 90 on the projects. He very clearly explains everything hes looking for. Don't need to read, just read over his power points and your good.
You will learn ALOT. If you are willing to put the time in you will do well.
He is a tough grader on the group projects. He is a stickler about page limits, citations, and other formatting problems rather than the actual content of the paper.
Was not a fan of Professor Bravo. He gets pretty nit picky when it comes to both quizzes and tests. There were some pretty obscure questions when it came to his final exam. He warns you ahead of time that anything he covered is fair game. And he definitely wasn't kidding. For what it's worth, he's a pretty nice guy though.
He will seem lot tougher than he actually is - especially with grading. He spends so much time talking about what to do on the group papers but my group was pleasantly surprised with how well we did on them. Quizzes and the exam were also pretty easy. Although he isn't the best at explaining material, I would recommend him.
Super tough grader. He gave our group 50 out of 100 first time, though we put a lot of effort in it. Every group project due in 1 week, student who have heavy duty usually do not have enough time to finish them.
Great professor, really knows his stuff and if you follow his outlines and put in the time you will do very well. Taking him again for GB 320
One of the worst professors I've had. Huge ego and an unfairly tough grader who isn't clear on what to know for exams or papers. Do not recommend taking at all.
Participation is a big part of the grade in this class. That being said, I don't think I participated at all and still got a 3.7 in the class. He grades pretty easily and if you do participate and put some effort into the class you'll probably get a 4.0. Sometimes it appears he doesn't want to be in class but he's still a nice guy.
Easy 3.7-4.0 in this class. I took him for 214 during the summer so the class was a little bit more relaxed. management portion is pretty self-explanatory. he makes odd jokes but just nod along
No, just no. He was incredibly tough on grading for our group, we often got very low grades on papers, despite fixing all the issues he would point out. He also is unwilling to change the grade he gives, even though they normally don't make sense. When we switched professors our groups grades *magically* improved dramatically.
A really tough grader and guidelines are not always clear for group assignments. His midterm was easier than I thought but still pretty difficult. Attendance and participation are super important. He makes weird and sometimes uncomfortable jokes in class that no one thinks are funny, so everyone just slightly laughs so he'll move on.
Professor Bravo a nice guy with simple guidelines. If you follow his guidelines completely, you will get an A. His quizzes could be a little tricky at times so it is very important to study for them. Although his exam is easy.
He is a pretty tough grader for his papers. Other than that, he has 5 question blackboard quizzes that I found relatively easy especially since he allows you to use your notes. He also gives ample time for your OM exam which is nice. Overall a nice and good professor even though OM is not the most enjoyable subject imo.
If he cant take off points for content he will find another way to deduct them. Anything else you read is cap. Also, he wrote those if you know what I mean. Dont take. Youre welcome.
Professor Bravo is a super nice guy but his guidelines can be a little too specific. He gives weekly quizzes but as long as you actually read the chapter he tells you to, the quizzes are not that bad. He also gives a lot of time for the final exam.
I feel sorry for the man I really do. Its not fair that he has to take it out on his students. Stay away.
If you cant tell by the first day of class, his true colors will show when you present him with a conflict. Avoid at all costs.
Professor Bravo grades harshly. He has no clear rubric and takes off significant points for very minimal reasons on the papers. His midterm was quite difficult and I didn't learn anything in this class. He is a nice guy, but not a great professor.
I'm surprised by all of the reviews that say professor Bravo is a harsh grader. The OM quizzes were much easier than than the MK quizzes, and professor Bravo provided clear and objective criteria for evaluating the final paper. The OM module of GB214 with professor Bravo is an easy A if you put in a reasonable amount of effort.
One of the worst professors in bentley. Dont take him or u will lower your gpa. He grades tough and is very unclear. He just likes taking points out of your work for no reason and is boring. Dont take him!
Professor Bravo did a good job not making his lectures boring. The quizzes were a bit stressful, but theyre easy if you read the textbook.
Bro you think anyones going to believe that fake review on yourself? Get a real job and stop bullying your own students. What does your wife think of the way you treat us?
Clear and objective criteria for evaluating the final? Try a little harder to sound like a student Mike. Glad to see youre back for some annual housekeeping of your page before the summer.
I had Bravo for the Operations module of GB214. Quizzes were unnecessarily difficult, but the multiple choice on the final exam was actually quite easy if you read the textbook chapters. Grades the paper way too harshly, takes points off for silly things like improper formatting and sources he doesnt like (even though their credible). Dont take!
Had him for GB214. Really a horrible person and his grading was awful. Takes points off of the silliest things and will instigate an argument with you. I am surprised this guy is still teaching despite his fake reviews and other bad reviews. Just do yourself a favor and DO NOT TAKE.
The course being split up is not good. Having Bravo tho is a great choice. 2 (group)papers given along with 5 quizzes (open notes). Quiz answers found in powerslides. Extremely accommodating and this will help. Make sure you start with him not the marketing section, cause then he will grade 60% of the grade. Exam is 40% of the (OM) grade (Curved!!)
Doesn't surprise me that Bravo would police his RMP rating. Guy would lecture the whole time instead of letting us work. Doesn't really care about getting a good paper or helping you with group problems. 320 is known to be trash but do yourself a favor and take it with someone else
This guy has no idea what he's talking about. You have to get used to his horrible teaching style and personality. If you ask him a question about the paper or quiz, he will go on tangents and simply not answer it. Do not expect to get above a B on the OM exam or paper.
He was good. very funny guy and i liked the way he presented the class. He is indeed a tough grader on papers but if you go and ask him about specific details and requirements for the papers, he will exactly tell you what he wants. His module was way better and easier than the Marketing one.
These reviews are def fake. Bravo is a very tough grader. He is particular and pays attention to every detail. Do not expect to get above a 90 exams/papers. He prides himself on being fair but his questions are so confusing. I have not gotten the impression that he cares about his students. Do urself a favor and take this course with someone else.
Bravo is a decent choice for GB214. He seems like a really tough grader but isn't that bad and his tests are not hard. The group work sucks but that's standard for all GB214 courses. He is not accessible outside of class and he's not willing to provide feedback, but if you show up, pay attention, and try on the assignments, you'll be fine.
Bravo is one of the worst professors I had at Bentley, he is such as tough grader and expects much more from the students even though you meet the requirements, He quizzes were a bit difficult and nothing from his slides he does not go over the textbook and expects you to study from it. Avoid him and take this class with somoene else
This professor clearly does not care about students and is not approachable outside of class, whenever you ask for help he will do the bare minimum to assist to. For the group project he removed lots of points for the smallest mistakes do not expect to get above an 80 on them. The questions on the quizzes were so confusing and did not make sense
Bravo is a solid choice for 214. He cares about his job and wants his students to do well, and you will get a good grade if you participate in class and put effort into group projects. He can be give insightful feedback, but he is not easy to access outside of class, so you be able to set aside time for him during the way.
I am pretty sure the other ratings are bots because Bravo is the worst, he grades strictly and removes points for no reason. The quizzes he gave out were confusing and came from the textbook which we never used in class. He talks for way too long and goes off topic. Take this class with someone else and avoid Bravo if you can
Professor Bravo is a great professor, he explains well and makes class fun. Professor is very firm and has 4/5 quizzes (5 questions, 5 minutes) - which aren't easy. The Operations exam is easier than quizzes as they're open book! He is a very harsh grader for papers,so don't expect a high grade for this class, unless the Marketing Professor is easy.
Do yourselves a favor and take this class with someone lese because Bravo is awful he does not explain well and is a very harsh grader I barely understood anything in his class, the exam was much easier than the 2 quizzes he gave us which was supposed to be 4 do not expect to do good on the papers as well
It is clear that this professor does not show concern for his students and does not care, as he hands out C's left and right on assignments on minimal mistakes, he says you can email him but does not respond to them, you can't even approach him outside of class, he's horrible do not take him
If I knew the way he graded his papers at the beginning would of immediately changed to another professor who actually knows how to grade and not be so strict and harsh. He grades them as if he was a language professor which does not make any sense, you'll get quizzes that are impossible to do well on and you only have 5 mins to do them.
If you want to do good in this course then take it with a different professor as Bravo is the worst and does not really care about his students, his PowerPoints are meaningless with very little information and we never used in the textbook in class so it was a waste of money. His grading is very annoying he removes lots of points on small things.
Worst professor ever his grading is so unfair and it is clear he does not care about his students. I wish I dropped his class but I missed the deadline. He talks too much and barely gives us time to finish the quizzes which had very confusing questions. Don't take him if you want to do good, I am sure any other professor is better than Bravo.
Bravo may seem great in other classes but for GB214 he was awful, his lectures did not make any sense and were made very simple compared to what we actually needed to know for his quizzes which were only 5 mins long. Not once did we use the textbook and he just expects us to read outside of class. He is so bad , do not take hime.
Professor Bravo definitely cares about the students, though he isn't very successful relating or being engaging. Quizzes are based on the readings NOT what he goes over in class, but he openly tells students that. Grading is heavily based on turnitin plagiarism score. Nice guy, not a great teacher, bad grader, but he's not the worst.
He's definitely lightened the load from before. He warns us when things are happening but sometimes he gives short notice on the group assignment deadlines so we meet in a rush for something do a couple of days after he told us. He grades pretty fairly and is helpful. He also makes lectures more interesting, take some notes and pay attention.
Doesn't allow computers or phones, but as long as you submit your work and follow the instructions you will be good
Only took him because of the class time -- wouldn't take him again. Funny guy, he'll look out for you, but he is so unclear with his grading policies I felt I was losing points all semester long for the tiniest of mistakes. Especially on the article assignments. He's not very clear on what he is looking for, then is super nit picky w/your feedback.
Unless you want to do horribly in a class do not take him, he does not care about the students at all. He explains on thing and the quiz is on something else. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. You cannot go to him after class
I was worried about taking me due to the reviews but I enjoyed his class! Not a hard class at all, with several assignments nothing too overwhelming and the quizzes and exams are open notes.
Prof Bravo is great. All exams and quizzes are open written notes. He explains the concept well and let's us out early almost every class. He does take attendance by passing out name cards every class. There is 1 long group project, 4 quizzes, 3 exams, and 2 papers. One of my favorite classes. Only downside is he doesn't let you use technology
If you put effort into your notes and papers, this class is easy. Open note quizzes and exams, 2 individual papers, 1 group paper/presentation. He is an extremely fair grader and accessible outside of class, not sure why he has bad review. Attendance is mandatory and he only allows handwritten notes, the only downside
I was a bit hesitant to take him at first because of his reviews, but he was actually one of the nicest professors ever. Quizzes and exams are open written notes and one group project. I enjoyed his class and would recommend him, he is also very accessible outside of class and always lets us leave class early.
He was fine but grades harshly on final group project and participation. During final exam period each group has to present for 13 minutes exactly, 2 minutes to set up, and 5 minutes of him criticizing you. Exams and quizzes were easy and open note though.
Bravo's class is a mixed bag - lectures can be dry, but using resources like unstuck AI alongside the textbook helps a lot. Stay engaged, and the fair grading makes up for the fast-paced quizzes. Overall, a challenging but manageable course.
This class is something. Lecture heavy, he encourages participation, the exams and individual papers are easy. He will find anything to mark points off on the group project. He does not give you a good participation grade either unless you are raising your hand every class and never miss a class. Would not take him every again
Awful. Condescending and genuinely does not fully understand what he is teaching. Much of the topics are already known to the students, and it is clear that the student body knowns more about the topics than he does. Along with this he grades ridiculously hard for no reason and takes large amounts of points off for negligible mistakes. DO NOT TAKE.
The guy is really not a good professor. Does not know a lot about anything but pretends to. Grades papers INSANELY harshly but I heard most Mg300 professors are like that. Class is a waste of time which is Bentleys fault, not his.
The exams in this class are extremely easy and so is the material. My issue is with him. I got an A on the individual papers and the exams and the group project. But he knocked me on participation even though I showed up every class, took notes, and occasionally raised my hand. It's like he wants to keep your grade as low as possible. Do not take
Took Bravo for my honors capstone course and while the course doesn't require much outside work, it isn't a very organized course and very open ended with no grades available until final grades are submitted so that was a little unnerving, but it seems he was generous with the grading so props to him for that.
Great professor. Gives the last 30 minutes of class for the team project. He is a tough grader on the individual papers, but the exams are open note and fairly easy if you grasp the content.
Bravo takes his class a bit too seriously and takes off points for pretty much anything. Quizzes are easy and each lecture is very informative. He is engaging with the class and was one of the more enjoyable classes I had.
