Brennan's a great instructor. The exams are not as hard as some think. He sends out e-mails and if you study those then there's little else you need to know to pass. Read the book if you want an A. That's what I did. His class is easy peasy.

If you are interested in a class that follows the syllabus, this is not the class for you. However, if you're interested in an interesting (as interesting as dna can be) class that will teach you about biology that will affect your life, this is a good class. This is a cool teacher, especially for non-biolgy majors. He will e-mail you the exam review and study along with your notes. You will have no problem. Also when doing lab work, do a buddy system, were the group will divide the work amongst each other. He is cool with that.

The best teacher for a lab class. Easy class, curves grades, little outside class study, just show up everyday for labs and quizes. Four 100 multiple choice tests, all curved. Quizes for ALMOST every lab but they are short and easy 6-10 questions worth about 10% of grade. TAKE THIS CLASS YOU WONT REGRET IT. Easy going teacher.

He's awesome. I love him! He is very laid back. He will work with you if you have any issues. Curves test, and have quizzes after every lab which are stupid easy. Gotta do some work, and gotta do some studying. Serious A!

This techer was AWESOME! HW, Lab, Quizzes and tests were not bad at all. I took him for the summer. Gave us previous summer exams to study from. The only thing that bugged me about him is when he is lecturing he seems to be talking to the ceiling and not at you. Weird but overall GREAT teacher. Highly recommend taking him.

Awesome! Easy labs makes you work with groups. Exams are pretty decent and he curves those. Make sure you take really good notes. Maybe a little off on his lectures but still good. Had a great time in his class and I got an A. Gotta study.

Fun-high energy teacher. knows a lot about bio! his lectures dont really relate to the exams. He emails you past semester tests as study guides for the exams. Lab quizzes, & 2 labs/week. He grades all exams on a curve. Dont need the textbook, you can use any bio textbook u can find. Pretty easy, but if you dont know much about bio, do xtra reading

Took him for summer session 09 and the first week he went fast through material I think its a trick to get people to drop. Overall since it was only a ^ week class didnt even use the book just the lab manual. Overall cool teacher.

If you are a non-bio major this is the instructor for you! And he is soooo funny, our lab group laughs every class. He's young, relateable, funny, attractive, smart...the best teacher package :)

First, I HATE Biology with a passion. He knows that unless you're a Bio Major, this stuff isn't really that important to you, so he keeps it real. He never gets TOO in depth with anything and tries to relate everything to real world stuff like stocks and poker...He's helpful, but you have to ask. Also, he drops lots of hints on quizzes. Stay sharp!

Prof Brennan is probably the nicest and most laid back prof you'll ever have. He's SUPER smart (he lectures from the top of his head, no notes ever) but he's very understanding and wants his students to pass. His practicals are difficult but i mean, it's a bio class; no surprise. Overall, take him. He's willing to help anyone anytime.

Brennan is incredibly laid-back! Super easy grader, likes to procrastinate, and jokes a lot. Lecture & lab everyday, but does his best to make class entertaining & as short as possible. 5 exams + 4 lab practicals + mini lab quizzes. Sometimes his lectures get confusing bc the material is complicated, but still highly recommended! Need only lab book

Loved his Anatomy class, he is probably the best science teacher out there. You learn a lot in his class, and he doesn't make it impossible to do well in. You have to study, of course, if you want an A, but he is really helpful and I would recommend him to everyone. There is no one like him at El Camino. He deserves a 5.0 rating!

Took over the summer. Super Clear Lectures, but they're abridged, so you'll want to brush up in the book. Tests were easy, and the lab quizzes were even easier. Gave hints and everything. Once every 2 weeks, he'd give out extra credit like the sun gives out light. Idk about full-semester classes, but he was perfect for a summer class.

Great lectures, very knowledgeable, and draws everything out. YOU TAKE ANATOMY, YOU LEARN ANATOMY ONLY! You will need to take good notes though, because all his quizzes and tests are on what he lectures. Don't need the book, or lab manual. He knows his stuff! Plus he's pretty cool, and laid back. You have plenty of chances to make up quizzes.

Amazing teacher! loved his class because he's one of those rare teachers that DOESN'T USE POWER POINT! He actually explains his materials and write stuff on the board. He does drawing and is more of an interactive teacher. For a tough class like anatomy, he's definitely a huge help.

He makes learning anatomy so interesting - and this is coming from a business major! He's a great teacher who really makes you understand the subject. His tests are definitely difficult but he gives comprehensive study guides - you need to put in the hours but if you do you'll pass. Lots of extra credit. Class isn't mandatory but don't skip.

Mr. Brennan is really easy going. I took his class once it was on Saturdays and I believe it was 8 hours long. Turns out it was way to much information for me at once so i dropped the class. I am now in his spring class and the amount of material we have now is a real shocker to me. I love the amount and pace its going in. Dont do the 8 hour class!

He lectures straight from his head no notes or power point. Super smart. The great thing was he never combine lab and lecture midterms on the same day. Take good notes, ask him questions and you'll be fine. I only had class once a week on Sat so you have to be motivated. Also we had quizzes every week which helps for the exam. one of the best prof

Knows the subject very well and teaches it straight from his head. No boring powerpoints. Keeps the class very interested and has great drawings :) Enjoyed his class from beginning to end. Lab is fun and he is always around to help you understand what you are looking for.

Mr. Brennan is very easy going. He gives extra credit. No homework. You always have to study for anatomy. Quiz are easy if you know your material. You need to study for the class but if you do u can most def get an A. The last two weeks are scary. The quizes are at the end of the class so don't leave early. Buy the books it helps out a lot.

Textbooks are not mandatory. However, I do recommend students to purchase for further understanding. Professor is very nice and hilarious. He keeps the class entertaining, I was never bored in his class. He gives quizzes almost every day which helps you to be prepared for lab exams. No boring ppt, he draws on the board.

BEST teacher I've had in college hands down I took him for summer 2016. He is funny, entertaining really cares about his students, gives extra credit & one thing for sure this class is hard you need to study because this class has a lot of memorizing to be done! If you don't study you won't pass that's for sure!

Class was so fun! But don't get me wrong, you have to put in the effort to study. Memorize the lecture notes! For the lab, go up to him and video record him pointing out the parts of the models (don't be shy, ur grades on the line) Go to library and study the models in the tutoring center with a small group. He's extremely smart. All he comes into class is with his frappacino. It's like he has a blue print in his brains. He draws all these information from his head and transcribes it to the board. He made an 8 hour Saturday class manageable. You get points for the lecture review. Study the bones by rewriting it helps with memorization

He's a genius. He can lecture for 3 hours off the top of his head. Lectures don't get boring he is interesting and funny. Gives lots of extra credit if you complete the study guides for exams. He's also extremely attractive. First class I'm actually sad ended

Brennan is the best anatomy teacher you could ever take. First of all, you don't need to actually show up to class. Great class you're taking it for an easy A. If you DO want to learn about anatomy, he makes lecture so funny and relatable. He gives so many extra credit opportunities and lets you make up many quizzes/tests and is very flexible.

Professor Brennan is definitely one of the easier professors for Anatomy and Physiology. He makes the class enjoyable by not being monotone in his lectures, and can often be entertaining. This does NOT mean you wont work for his class. Like all Anatomy classes you will have to put in the time to study. Textbook was not required but I recommend it.

If your a Nursing Major TAKE THIS CLASS. Barely any stress. The class was very easy. He had great lectures and the test was questions right from them. He's quite funny too. All around great Professor.

TAKE PROFESSOR BRENNAN!!! He is a real gem!! Took him in the fall and do not regret it at all. I had a full course load of work (13 units) and he made his tests from his lecture and lab notes. Gives extra credit if you attend class and answer questions. Take his class if you do not want to stress. Plus has awesome jokes!

I took it over the summer. Lectures are super clear, Exams were pretty easy most of the questions are on the review sheet. The lab exam was a little hard if you didn't come to class but easy enough to do. He is a funny man but talks too much during lectures and makes me fall asleep. He always uploads the lab worksheet so last, but overall is good

Take notes in class and review posted class notes on canvas and you will get atleast a high B on lec exam. Most importantly, take extensive notes on EVERY lab demonstration cause you will be seeing it on the lab exams. Make sure to focus on names, functions, and indentification in lab demos. Follow these steps and you should be on your way to an A.

Easy A professor, the class was in person but let us take all but one exam online. Graded by lots of multiple-attempt quizzes that can help your grade. Lectures were pretty hard to follow but it's a difficult class in general, my only complaint is some questions on exams were not covered in slides or lectures.

One of the best professors you can take for Anatomy and Physiology. Understanding of situations and allowed the whole class to take their exams online if one person asked. Provides lecture vids in case you're absent. Always be on top of your labs for the lab practicals, and you'll pass with flying colors.

He's great. A&P is still difficult, so study, but he tries to make it as simple as he can with many real life examples and experiences. Answers any questions you have with complete detail no matter how obscure. Very accommodating as long as you tell him your situation. Intelligent, not bad looks-wise. Also, he loves venti fraps.

Professor Brennan is the best, Take his class you will not regret it easy A don't be absent read the powerpoints, everything on his test are on the powerpoints, group projects so partner up with a good group, and don't be absent, very caring for his students, learned a lot from his class. Professor Mike was amazing! He answers any and all questions, very patient with students,& informative about real world issues. His grading is clear, HW resembles the exams, and gives more than enough time to complete any late or missing assignments. Textbook is not required I highly recommend students to purchase since this is a heavy subject

Professor Brennan is a great teacher and his lectures are easy to understand!! His class consist of a lot of physioex which are on the lab exams, quizzes, lab worksheets and 5 exams. He has lecture recordings in case you miss class. Make sure to pay attention to the lab since it will be on the lab exam definitely recommend audio recording!
