his aplia assignments get impossible during the last month, his quizes on friday are also terrible, he is funny, but thats about it

This class is impossible...if it was not for the curve, I swear everyone would fail!!! His tests are probably the hardest ever--and it's a Gen Ed for crying out loud...give us a break! He sucks!!!

One of the hardest classes I have ever had! If it wouldn't have been for the curve maybe one person would have passed. I can honestly say I didn't learn anything in this class

I took his class over j-term..biggest mistake ever. What he said to study was nothing like the exam. Waste of money and time. Pleading for your grade does work!

His class was the hardest class ever. When you receive his tests it's like looking at something in a different language you've never ever heard before. If it weren't for the curve one person might have passed.

I decided today in class that I hate him. Never tells us what to read, syllabus doesn't have dates, talks about test materials after we all fail. Talks to much about personal life then scribbles notes on the board at the end of class when everyone has to leave. TERRIBLE TEACHER

This teacher is a total doosh bag, he writes tests on material not even covered and his personal stories are stupid and annoying. I personally think he is gay. He has no vision and is out to get every student that takes his class.

hes the chair of the economics department, so he thinks hes really cool and a hard ass, but really, his class blows, his teaching style sucks, and you'll never want to ever have anything to do with him ever again. plus, his class would probably discourage any econ majors to keep up with it. he sucks

This is guy is so stupid. Has pop quizzes and pop exams. Everything is based on a curve but most likely there will be someone who aces everything so its not really a curve.

this guy sucks.. period. pop quizzes and exams, whoever heard of a pop exam?! there are quizzes and online assignments constantly and they are never on the material covered in class.. there is no real reason to go to class because this guy is such a bore. he made me hate economics more then i ever thought i could

He was very unclear with his directions. I am and econ major and a sports lover, but somehow he made "the economics of sports and entertainment" boring. Constantly said "we'll get to that later in the course" then we never got to most of it ever.

worst teacher ever!! he talked and talked about the smallest things that were never on the test. But things he said one sentence about was half the test! Pop Quizzes all the time. Dont take!

worst teacher ive taken. his lectures are random and so are the tests. Doesnt help students when they ask for help in his office. Nor does he answer questions during class. Tests are hard and the final is impossible. He throws random quizzes at you half way through class. Do not take him.

a lot of in class group quizzes and assignments. seems like easy class, but exams were random and so were the lectures. outrageous and honest, but not very helpful. though, there are a lot of in class bonus points given. okay professor, probably wouldn't take in the future.

He did not have a lesson plan and was not organized. Most of the time people were lost and ended up teaching themselves. But then you were screwed for his random exam material. He jumped around material and did not connect it. Focused on small things & then half the test would be about something discussed for two minutes. Nice guy...poor professor.

This one credit class taught by Dr. Haupert is a great class. To bad Dr. Haupert ruined it by being an atrocious professor. He gives oral quizzes that are hard and his test is a hard jokes. He thinks he is funny, in reality he is just arrogant. I will never take him for any econ class as I am an econ minor.

the stuff this dude expects you to know for the test is barely established in class. "good luck" - taken voice. Even liam neeson isn't passing this class

Pros: Attendance is not mandatory, grades on a curve, has practice exams to work on Cons: Arrogant, Unclear, Throws tick questions on exams, doesn't really seem to care about his students. Don't take him is that is possible. If you can't best of luck to you and get ready to spend some time with the economics tutors.

He was a funny professor to have in class, but he is not suited to be a professor in this generation. He relies too much on memorization, and doesn't give good resources to help with studying. He is a very tough grader, and is extremely nit-picky on grammar. My english professors didn't even grade as hard as him on grammar. I don't recommend him.

This class caused unnecessary stress where I felt like not much was actually taught. Was looking forward to learn about the economics of sports but left disappointed. No grading scale, no class schedule until week 7, and hardily explained projects. Recommend you take this course with another professor. Also, he's a funny guy I guess.

Class is impossible and way harder than a gen ed. should be. AVOID TAKING HIM IF ALL POSSIBLE!

His lecture's don't apply to assigned work and he gives no feedback. His average scores tend to be around 4/10 and low test scores too.

His lectures are nothing like the homework or exams. Its an entry level class and I do more work for it than any other advanced class Im taking. Average grades on quizzes and homework is a D or C at best.

Quizes and tests are nothing like material covered in his lecture. He tries to be funny in class but he's not. You pretty much have to teach yourself all the material. He's the worst professor I have ever had.

Easily worst professor I have ever had. Gets way off track during lectures and doesnt get back on track at all. Assignments, tests, and exams are nothing close to what he teaches you. Different material in the textbook than on the quizzes and everything. You wont learn a single useful thing. Please for your own sake avoid his class at all costs!!

Professor Haupert is a nice guy but terrible professor. I didn't learn a thing. He never has things graded so you never know what your grade is. He's a hard grader and the tests are not like the practice tests. He almost makes it seem like he wants you to do bad. Do not take him unless you want to withdrawal the class, or get a D at best.

The professor makes powerpoints but doesn't actually explain the information - he continues to use jargon assuming we know what exactly he is talking about and the assignments are very hard to understand. The wording in assignments and quizzes is confusing and hard to figure what exactly he is asking. do not reccomend.

Would not take this class unless seriously needed. Not accessible outside of class or office hours. Partners for quizzes are randomized. Unclear grading criteria/curve, uses his own method so you have no idea where your grade stands almost the entire semester. Tests/quizzes are super challenging and he's a tough grader. Would not recommend.

He is not very helpful as exams and practice exams do not ever align. Also, he will quiz you on content that you have not learned. Skip class - you will not pass. There are practice assignments and quizzes, but that still isn't enough.

this course was ridiculous. his test average was a 50% and he was not good at explaining concepts. very much into himself and when i went to office hours he told me to redo the practice assignments that i had already done and i still ended up getting bad grades on exams. dont take if you dont have to.

He is not a great teacher and everyone is doing bad in the class I have talked to. The only thing keeping me passing right now is the extra credit he gives. The tests are very hard and not exactly what you learn in class.

I wish I had the courage to drop this class with a W, but I thought if I studied hard I could get through it. I was insanely wrong. His exams don't match anything we learned in class, and there is little to no room to improve. I do not recommend him. He teaches a 100 level class like a 300-400 level. Attend his class even though it's not required.

None of the quizzes and exams match the lecture, and the averages are awful. Office hours leave you more confused. He is a smart guy but can't translate it to students. I also had no idea what my grade was as Canvas is inaccurate, he has a spreadsheet that is only accurate right after every exam. please save yourself the worry and don't take mike.

Never updates the gradebook, only after exams. Exam averages are hardly above 60%, sucks at teaching, thinks he's funny, NO help to receive a better grade. Tells you to attend office hours even though it's SO unhelpful. Most people in his class have failed/dropped out. Such a waste of time, money, AND mental sanity. Don't take his class.

Mike is a funny guy but I have a lot of problems with how his class goes. He does lecture maybe 1 time a week with the other days being group quizzes or activities. The few lectures make hard to learn everything you need to know for his hard exams. He curves grades like crazy cuz of the difficulty of his exams. He also doesn't use canvas for grades

Class had 0 direction whatsoever. Just a slideshow every day with no explanation. Talked to us like we had an economics degree going into the class. Class made absolutely no sense.

I would not recommend him for microeconomics. The weekly quizzes are hard, even with partners because he doesn't teach the material well. Our takehome quiz average was 3/10. I usually get A's and B's but might fail and have to retake. He's nice, but he gives unclear assignments and expects you to just understand. Dont waste your time with his class
