Good class, would like to have this instructor again

Very Good Teacher. He is not hard at all. Very helpful and I enjoy having him as an Instructor.

Mr. Hawkins is a very great teacher. What I love about him the most is that he keep it real and he is one of the teachers at FTCC that cares about his students. He is there to help not to drag you in the mud like some of the teachers at FTCC. If there were more teachers like him FTCC would have people graduating rather than transfering or quitting.

Mr. Hawkins is a very good teacher. I took him last semester and I am taking him again this semester and maybe the rest of my time at FTCC. Mr. Hawkins is all about helping his students. He wants to see everyone walk across that stage with a smile on there face. If we had more techers at FTCC like Mr. Hawkins FTCC would be great.

As always, I learned so much more about criminal justice from Mr. Hawkins. Each class I take with him as my instructor and the knowledge gained at the end of the class, keeps me focused and determined to finish what I've started. I'm appreciative of teachers/instructors like Mr. Hawkins and encourage others to register for his classes.

Textbook Use was lower than all the others, only because Professor Hawkins really applies what you learn in your book in class... I recommend always trying to see what classes Michael Hawkins is teaching before signing up for your classes next semester!!!!

Mr. Hawkins keeps his classes very involved in the learning experience to make the time go by fast. The information seems to retain better when you enjoy what you are studying and have a professor that likes to teach it and share all of his Law Enforcement experience.

This is an awesome class to take and Mr. Hawkins is a large part of its success. This class is not an "Easy A", because one must think out of the box and not just restate the textbook. One's grade is dependent on one's commitment to the class. One of the best classes I have had that combines real world knowledge with classroom base experience.

I wasn't really interested in Criminal Justice but this class was very intriguing. It was my first online course and in 8 weeks; but I'm glad it was. Mr. Hawkins was very helpful but linnet.

I had Prof. Hawkins last semester as well and enjoyed that class just as much as I enjoyed this one. Mr. Hawkins has a genuine interest in our success and motivates me tremendously to avoid procrastination. Not interested in this class. after the 2nd week, I was glad that I did getting into the text,was more than I ever expected. Homeland Security, needs to be mandatory for graduation within CJC. The book was an easy read with a great breakdown of the topics. As for the assignments, they were relevant and simple. I definitely recommend this course for L.E. credit.

As I expected, the class was a thinking tank filled with discussions. After each class, I always had a need to find out more in order to bring up the topic at the next class meeting. I have been enlighten and seeking more information. And that's a good thing.

Mr. Hawkins is a great teacher. His assignments are clear and he obviously wants his students to pass his class while ensuring that they have retained the knowledge they have earned.

One of the many professors I like because he will work with you and make sure you understand the work and as far as the textbook goes he let's you know off bat that your job is to read the textbook and complete the assignments and his job is to make sure you understand what you read in the book by making you discuss it as a group in the class.

Excellent instructor for online classes. Anytime I had a question and sent him an email I always had a reply within 24 hours.

Participation and attendance is a MUST in this class, which is understandable because how else would you learn how to interrogate someone. He was very clear cut and allowed us to learn on our own and to get an understanding of our own techniques for what will work with our personalities and talents. One of the best classes I've taken!!

I really enjoyed this class, i learned alot of things i did not know about law enforcement. Mr. Hawkins was very motivational and made you want to come to class.

Extremely clear assignments. I love the structure of the 8 week class I took from Mr. Hawkins. Actually replies to emails that need a response. I took an online class, but I would take another online one from him again.

I took an 8-week online course. It was challenging to keep up(compared to other classes), but VERY doable. I spent about two hours each week reading the textbook, and an hour and a half completing online assignments. You get multiple chances to take tests. Helps you learn without being a pain. Best part: The teacher actually responds to email

Mr. Hawkins, has by far been one of the greatest instructors I have met in the almost 3 degrees I have completed at FTCC. I will ALWAYS take his face to face classes because he is an instructor that makes you want to learn and truly cares you are learning what you need. Hawkins is straight forward on what is expected and gives credit for assignments that are turned in late in hybrid class. Allows you to go back and add posts for credit.

Mr. Hawkins is one of FTCC best teacher that they currently have. He is always willing to help a student out and is always willing to listen. But don't get it twisted he will give you homework and journal to write in almost all of his classes. But I promise once you get in his class your going to want to sign up for another class with him.

Mr. Hawkins is a well organized, dedicated teacher. Took this online, it was 100% open, finished 3 weeks early. His grading system is simple to understand - do the work required and you'll make a good grade. The way the research DB and Blogs are set up enables one to get a good understanding of the class. Mr. Hawkins has been my instructor for a few classes and I am taking another one of his classes next 8 weeks. He is always available outside of class and always willing to help his students. He is a great instructor who makes the class interesting. He has a lot of knowledge and personal experience in the criminal justice field.

Turn in things on time, and complete your work to the best of your ability. Participation is a must. If you want a good grade then you need to participate in whatever is asked of you. I make sure that each semester I have at least one of his classes. He will keep you interested in whatever is being taught.

Professor Hawkins was very specific with how he wanted things done, he did not care what order or time you did it. I appreciated the response and interaction, as well as the level of engagement we underwent in this course. His syllabus and online materials were a mirror and true to the course. Mr. Hawkins is a great instructor. Sure you have to do a lot more writing in his online classes, but the writing does prepare you for higher college classes. I have taken numerous classes with Mr. Hawkins and I can honestly say you will learn a lot from his classes. Taking his classes will definitely prepare you for taking other online classes. Excellent instructor!!

Mr Hawkins was a great professor. He sent emails every friday giving us reminders and telling us to have great weekends. His assignments were good. he made the overall class easy, with it being online, knowing how hard online classes can sometimes be. though i didnt pass the class with flying colors, that was a fault of my own. great class/teacher

Instructor Hawkins has been an amazing professor this semester and I would recommend anybody to take his course. There's a lot to learn and Instructor Hawkins is a patient teacher who pushes his students to succeed. I'm honored to have been taught by him.

Mr. Hawkins is a great teacher he explains everything well thats going to be covered in his class. What i loved about him and his class is that he made it fun so you learned the material and understand it . Mr. Hawkins knows his stuff and being a prior law enforcement officer definatley makes you learn his teachings and enjoy them.

Do not take this online class if you are not planning to dedicate a few hours of work each week. Professor Hawkins is a good professor because he makes the expectation clear for the course from day 1. I appreciated that I knew what assignments were due, when, and that they were graded promptly. He provides you with means resources to be successful.

I like the structure of the class. You are allowed to work at your own pace and even complete the whole class ahead of time which I love. Wish more online teachers were like this.

This class is super easy and has the same concept each week. Just do the work and you will be perfectly fine. Professor was very understanding of situations such as the hurricane and even accepts late work for a lower grade for the procrastinators . Honestly wish all my classes were like this one

A very straightforward to the point about how to succeed in his class professor. He is also very interactive which helped me understand and form opinions on the material better.
