This guy is super nice, but don't try to B.S. him. He gives honesty points on the exams. You write I did not study and you get honesty points. The hard part of this class is the reading. If you don't read you are dead! His jokes are prehistoric, but he thinks they are funny.

I had him last summer. He taught the class as they do at UC Riverside. He treats you as an adult, but some of the students did not deserve it. His lectures were funny but 4 hours in that room was hell. I got a C in the class but I did not care since it wont effect my U.C. GPA. I am thinking of taking him again for Micro.

Easy&he makes you laugh w/ his sarcastic economic jokes that aren't always funny but the silence makes you laugh.All he gives 3 exams&he drops your lowest test score w/ the "replacement score". His hybrid class is great! It is similar to an online class except he is there to answer your questions in person. If you keep up with the homework you will get an A in the class.

Online class was really easy. Each week you have to do a 10 point applia assignment and a post a 10 point discussion. There are no tests or quizes, just work. Mr. Javanmard was very helpful.

I took his class online, and I really enjoyed it. Although some of the problems I got wrong in the end your able to get extra credit for 30 points thats a whole letter grade.You dont have to take any quizes and a final exam due to that in the real world there is no such thing only the process of doing your work...according to him which is GREAT!

I had him for Hybrid and Online. He is tough if you do not read. I liked his hybrid class because he will lectures and help you with the assignments. The online class was tough because I had to get myself to read that boring book. His hybrid makes you read but he tries to motivate you and sometimes he gives away the answers.

Just took his online class. It was awsome!! He's so reasonable. All I did for this semester was to read each chapter briefly, and do online questions every week, also an interview report for local business. That's all. His questions are bit of hard, but he has mock questions for you to try before the real ones. Overall: Easy A with efforts.

I took Him for 101 & 102 gotta love em! Do all of your Aplia homework and your grade will come easy! Although he will not bump your grade up even if your only 4 points away from the next grade up. Or else I would have gotten an A

ECON 101 & 102... take 101 before 102 and you will Ace 102! Great class learned a lot, if your a business major take this professors online course. Don't fall behind some weeks are more challenging then others.

This class was in-person, not online. He succeeds in making the topic more interesting but you HAVE to pay attention to lectures. Ask questions whenever: He's always open to them. Don't even need the book if you listen well, but do his ex.cred quizzes, since the exam questions are taken from those. Work to Ace those quizzes, pay attention, thats it

Online class was very organized and easy. Javanmard gives you so much information and responds to emails almost immediately. Will answer any question you have, very approachable. Must read the book if online class but readings are very interesting.10pt Quiz on every chapter (12) and a 100 pt cumulative final. Thats it. super easy, highly recommend.

Took online Micro with him. He saved me money by using something called connect. It had the book in there and did not have to buy a textbook.

Took Maco Econ online with him. Great professor, very helpful and responds to email questions very quickly. Text is required & quizzes are based off the reading. 2 chapters & 2 quizzes per week & a few discussions; not hard. He uploads powerpoints to help you understand the info. One cumulative multiple choice final with no time limit. Easy class.

I took Econ 106 with him. Very easy class. All he wants is a discussion of a very fun book. Econ is not boring with this guy.

Took his online class and thought it was great! I thought econ was going to be a challenge but this guy made the class easy, very organized & straight forward. Quiz and discussion weekly, some based on online games. easy final. piece of cake class if your willing to put in the time since it does involve reading the text.

Attended his online class and it was fairly easy, just remember to do the homework and quizzes on time. There is only 1 homework and 1 quiz per chapter and he offers a fair amount of extra credit as well. There is no final for his online class.

This professor relates lots of his lectures to the book and has the students interact with small projects to put the material into act. Class is completely stress free, just try to participate in discussions and debate with others about the book. Very fun class!

He is great. Tells stories related to the readings. His only problem is that he smiles before failing you. I think he enjoys it. He did that to my friend but she deserved it. She did not study at all.

He's a great guy, always telling fun jokes to make the class less boring. But you'll fail that class if you only listen to his lecture. So make sure you do the insurance quizzes, those quizzes and real exam has a lot in common. highly recommend his 8 weeks session.

102 online is EASY. NO FINAL and fair amount of works. HWs are easy and quiz can be taken 3 times too. YOU SHOULD AT LEAST GET A B WITH THE EXTRA CREDIT SINCE IT IS TOO EASY...

He's a pretty good teacher, tries to make class interesting by telling jokes or bringing outside sources related to the subject. He is also a fair grader if you don't study you'll fail but if you read the book and attend class regularly the class shouldn't be to hard!

Great instructor, class was very easy. You do have to study on your own but like all studying, it is common sense too. Great instructor and highly recommend.

This class was extremely and ridiculously easy. All you had to do was a few hw problems each week followed by a quiz and that was it (no finals). He was really lenient on the grading policy as well (thanks lazy students!). But other than that, you're on your own. Do all of the work and you're basically guaranteed an A. Totally recommend this class.

He is funny but hard

He is a hilarious teacher. He is always happy and makes class lectures go by quickly. I highly recommend him. He gives extra credit he calls insurance. It's very helpful.

He will tell you that you don't need to come to class but don't listen! I didn't go and got an 86% on my first test, but after that it became super difficult. He will tell you exactly what is on the test and help you prepare but you have to go to class. Not something you want to try to do on your own.

I took the 8 week online course for this class and it was pretty simple. The online sections really just depend on the student. The 8 week course was heavy content and comprised of just quizzes and flashcard content for the McGraw hill website. No Final, No Midterm.

Took the 8 week online course. You don't need to read the book. You can just Google all the answers. The class consists of homework assignments and one final which is just 50 questions taken from the hw assignments. Google and screenshot is your best friend here.

He says that 'Students Learn' and ' your grade depends on how much time you spend with the Textbook!' I failed my first exam and I read and did well on second exam. Just read the book. He is a little different from other professors. He is not a snooty like some other professors.

Great professor that wants his students to do well. Structure of the course is really easy to follow. Do the weekly quizzes and discussions and you should be fine. The book is useful for quizzes and it was free so yay. Definitely would recommend.

Took this class online (10 Week Course) and it is way too easy. All you have to do is "read the lectures"(Not really), take the practice quiz, then take the actual quiz and done. Its that easy. You can jump ahead if you want. Everything is posted. Yes, you'll have discussions but its very easy. No Midterm or any other test, except Final. Easy A.

The class is pretty straightforward. Read chapters for the week, participate in the discussion posts, and complete the chapter quizzes. However, I really struggled with the quizzes because a lot of the questions were critical thinking questions. It wasn't question - straight answer. It was more like which answer fit best based on your knowledge.

This professors online Econ 102 class is an easy A! I took the 10 week class and even finished the class two weeks before finals. I definitely recommend it if you just need to fill a requirement. Weekly quizzes, discussion posts and no midterm/final. Everything is posted from the beginning and you don't need a textbook or access code.

I took this as a online class. It is simple. You just have to watch his videos, look at his google slides documents, and read the textbook. Then you will have to take weekly quiz's with no time limits and a final that is not timed as well. The quiz are 10 questions and the final is 25 questions. They all have two attempts, high score is kept.

Javanmard is probably the most nonchalant prof I've had. He always cracked me up for some reason. His course structure is clear: follow it on Canvas, do the discussions, do the quizzes, and you will get an A guaranteed. I rarely showed up for this class (MIDTERM/final was mandatory attendance) and still got an A. Textbook is free, he uses openstax.

Took Econ 101 online and I am taking 102 next semester. This class went really smooth. He made the assignments available early for the semester so I was able to finish early.

Professor Javanmard assigned quizzes every day and a discussion post every week. Quizzes were non-timed and you had 2 trys on each quiz and exam. There is a textbook that he provides for you. Easy A, recommend to anyone.

I took his online class and the quizzes were easy and not timed. You do get multiple attempts but sometimes you receive different questions. You will need to participate in discussions but I'm pretty everyone who responds gets full credit. The final is just a combination of the quizzes.

I took professor Javanmard class online and it's not that bad since most of his questions are easy and from the book he gives you for each module. All the homework and finals are all multiple choices; with two chances. Overall, easy online class if you need to finish your GE!

Professor Javanmard is awesome! His course is very simple and straightforward. Make sure to watch the videos provided for you in each section and make sure to read. He also responds back to emails within minutes or a few hours. Overall I had an excellent experience. You will learn many different topics in a simple way. Very easy to understand.

Be ready to read, complete assignments and quizzes if you're taking an eight week course, The work can be overwhelming, but durable. I have a new perspective in economics and I am an accounting major.

I enjoyed ECON 101 so much that I am taking ECON 102 with Professor Javanmard. Plan on reading and taking quizzes and participating in discussions. I enjoyed being able to work at my own pace and it felt good to be ahead of the calendar.

Professor Javanmard was a great teacher of Economics. He gave access to most of the course work in the very beginning of the class, therefore, if you had other classes to worry about you can focus on them. He gave two attempts on quizzes, and he re-uses questions from past quizzes on the final. He's great, and I would take him again!
