Cool Prof. Doesn't enforce attendence, come when u want. 2 tests and then take home test. Homework is Extra Credit going towards your TEST GRADE!! Great Way to INCREASE YOUR GRADE!
hated him! has a thick accent so you can't understand half of what he says, + moves too fast. if youre gifted at math, then youll like him. really slack on attendance and cell phones etc. if you have trouble with math, DONT TAKE HIM. its basically teach yourself through notes and hw, hes not helpful
Pretty cool professor and you come when you want to!! Kinda hard to understand with the strong accent, but for the most part alright. The class as a whole is easy, just study your notes and do the homework to get a good grade!!
Do the homework religiously and you will do well.
HE is cool I hang out with his Brother Hameesh all the time funny teacher his accent makes me laugh but don't take him if you are a serious student I apologise to his brother Hameesh Manesh for posting his name but Manesh is a ok teacher
Horrible teacher has a thick accent hard to understand, don't take him unless you want to teach yourself.
He puts everything he will go over that day on the board, so you just copy it down. The homework is important if you want to pass. He will help you if you ask and gives plenty of review before his tests. Take this guy for STATS!!
Nice guy-doesn't enforce attendance, but should go to understand material. HW is extra credit towards test grade. Tests not long, and HW is doable-only gives amt needed, not lots of busywork. If you go to class and study notes a little bit, you should do fine. NOT easy A, but A is very possible.

he's a good teacher. not easy to understand when he talks during lecture. just pay attention to the notes he gives and attend class you're sure to do good
This was such an easy math class! I mean, I took this class fall 2004 for dual enrollent and it was such a joke. Really if you can't comprehend this easy elementary math, then your not fit to be in college let alone the worst college in Fl (PBCC)... Go gators

VERY EASY CLASS...HIS LECTURE IS KINDA UNCLEAR BUT HE ISNT STRICT ON ATTENDANCE, COLLECTS HW FOR EX CREDIT ON TEST, GIVES TEST REVIEW DAYS, AND IS VERY HELPFUL WHEN YOU NEED A PROBLEM EXPLAINED.(BETTER CLASS FOR THOSE WHO CAN TEACH THEMSELVES FROM THE TEXTBOOK)
Great teacher except for the accent. Easy class if you do the hw, which is extra credit.
Mike is a really nice guy who teaches his class from memory. Take lots of notes and pay close attention to the test reviews he gives. He writes his own tests, but they are based on homework questions, so doing all of the hw is a must. Thought I might drop half way through the semester, but wound up with a B in the class.
Mr. Manesh tries really hard to help the students. It is hard, however, to understand him due to his strong accent. As long as you are ready to take a lot of notes and pretty much teach yourself, then you will be okay. If you want an easy A, stear clear.
Good teacher, gives lots of notes to help with homework and tests, and does good test reviews.
MR. MANESH IS AREALLY GOOD TEACHER, MAINLY BC HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S TALKIN ABOUT, HE MAKES DIFFICULT PROBLEMS SEEM EASY. HIS TESTS ARE SHORT, AND CLEAR, HE WRITES THEM HIMSELF, AND AVOIDS USING EXCESSIVE WORDING ON PROBLEMS. EXCELLENT TEACHER
Mr Manesh is really good teacher, the problems he does in class are prety similar to those he will give you in the test. He'll also give extra points if you do the homework. he is a cool guy if at the end of the test yuo haven't finished he will let you stay extra time
Good Teacher
He has an accent get over it! He annunciates his words so his accent doesn't confuse any one but the really stupid. He writes a lot of notes every day (4-5 dry erase boards easily) It is really helpful because he is telling you how to do it, showing you, and your doing it yourself......not many other ways you can teach. Awesome professor!
Put it this is way...If you don't take him for Finite don't bother taking the class at all. This man is awesome and his teaching technique and style is great. He reviews the material until you get it, he doesn't mind reviewing and going over problems on the board. Great teacher and very helpful and always willing to help!
this guy really knows this subject. his accent is really hard to get though. his tests are handwritten and short. if you are going to take this class, take good notes and definately keep up with the homework. (helps you understand the material and it is extra credit on tests!)
Great professor! Very fair. He determines your grade a bit differently...averages your letter grades at the end of the semester. Nothing but good things to say about him.
This professor is awesome!! Very fair, and he cares if he sees you a little lost. He will stop and help you catch up. If you don't take him for this course don't bother taking this class. Prof. Manesh is a awesome and he gives lots of notes, which are very helpful for quizzes and exams. Great Teacher!!!!
One of the best math professors I have ever had. He gives lots of notes, which is good thing, and he gives extra credit for doing your homework, on your test. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!! Take him, he is excellent!
The professor explains everything so clearly. He gives great lectures, so it is easy to go over notes from the lecture if I had a question about h/w. He gives LOTS of extra credit and he spends a lot of time going over issues we had with HW. If you have to take this class I bet there is not a better professor to take it with.
Helpful teacher, will go over as many times to understand. Test are not hard if u do the homework and have to do all cause he picks random ones on test day 4 extra credit that will boost up ur grade. Test hand written by him and gives u a review on wat to except. Great and nice
SUPER SWEET GUY. REALLY NICE. THE HOMEWORK IS JUST EXTRA CREDIT FOR THE TEST. GOES OVER EVERYTHING. ALWAYS UP FOR QUESTIONS. & EXTREMELY HELPFUL.
I must admit he is very fair. Rarely are there surprises on his tests and he gives reviews beforehand using examples from the homework. Entire semester grade is based on his tests and final. Homework is extra credit on the test and he doesn't take attendance. Doesn't allow make ups and doesn't drop lowest grade. Overall pretty nice and cheery guy.
He's pretty straight-forward about the work he has you do, and he doesn't require attendance, but you definitely should attend to prevent studying the wrong or excess material.
Very cool guy, he teaches very simple and the testst are very clear and he grades fair, alot of home and lab study but it is worth it. I got a B it wasen't that hard you just have to dedicate time to learn
I took Prof Manesh two times, this guy is awesome. He has a really orginial way of grading, but it totally benefits the students. Easy A, with just a little studying and all the homework is extra credit. He is great!!!! Take him!!
He's a really nice guy, but I couldn't understand anything he is saying because of his accent. I had to teach myself all the material because I couldn't understand him in class. Also, he is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of, through email or phone. 5 tests, no final, gives a review the day before a test. Nice guy, but I don't reccommend him.
mike is a very nice man...his class is kind of hard if you dont apply yourself...he gives you a test review out of the book and picks those problems and put it on the test so if you do the review you pass...he does have an accent but if i was able to understand him then anybody can
This is a really nice man and a fine teacher. He wants all his students to pass. He goes over exactly the type of questions that are on the tests, and will explain things over and over again. His accent is really not bad at all; I thought it was endearing. Never needed to get a hold of him, so I couldn't say if it's tough or not.
One of the best professors I've had! I'm very weak in math and I managed to get a B. He collects homework for extra credit to add onto each test grade so it can boost you up a letter grade. He's excellent at letting you know what will be on the test so you can prepare yourself well. Explains everything easily too. Wish I could take him again!
he is pretty straight forward.. jus do his homework cuz it all exra credit. no HW is mandatory. he explains everythin and writes it out clearly on the board. answers all questions but wont answer questions on test day. i thought it was pretty easy
His class was helpful for me because I'm very bad at math, he tries to help you and I recommend him for people who are bad at math, he's a good teacher.
I would recommend Manesh 100%. He makes everything crystal clear. You can ask him any quesion and he will walk you through it on the board. Very patient. Fair. He makes jokes and he makes math a little less painful. I passed every test. He collects a random HW assignment on test day and gives extra credit on the test if you have it. Take him!!!!
THIS MAN IS SOOO ...... THERE ARE NO WORDS 2 EXPLAIN, WHEN YOU HAVE A QUESTION THAT YOU NEED TO ASK HE WILL SKIP OVER AND SAY " YOU TRY IT AND THEN GET BACK TO ME" WOW HE RUSH WHEN HE TEACHES, IF HE PLAN TO TEACH 2 CHAPTERS AND THE CLASS TIME IS RUNNING OUT HE WILL RUSH WHATEVER HE HAVE LEFT!! HE SUCK!! DONT TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO GET AN A/ B
I had mixed feelings about Manesh. I was frustrated by his tests, which there were only 4. Homework is a must, it will help with extra points on the test6-10pts. Which beleive it or not will help lots!I ended up getting a B but did poorly on a couple tests.I did all the homework, plus some to show that I was trying. He wasnt as bad as he coulda been
He is very nice and understanding. I really liked the grading process. No commutative test :) Attendance does not count. Homework is extra credit. however the examples e gives in class is NOTHING like the book. So you cant use the book to study.
Stop reading this and sign up for his class. your taking finite math, the easiest math course, with the easiest teacher. I've failed math before, but studied and got an A in his class. Without doubt, you will pass if you try...
Maybe i'm wrong, but Mike Manesh was not a very good teacher for my teaching style. He went to fast, and I was completely confused most the time. Talk to an advisor before you take him.
he was a great stats teacher. i am horrible at math and he made it easy for me. he doesnt collect all the hw. just in for extra credit. take him!! hes great!!
Take him before his classes fill up, because they will! So helpful, clear, concise, and friendly. He has an accent, but it's not so bad. I'm TERRIBLE at math and did well in his class. If I had any more math classes to take, I would be sure to take one of his classes again.
Great teacher, i took him in the summer so the pressure was on but it was all worth it...got an A...he gives excellent notes, nice curve on test, good reveiw for test...overall a great professor. I am glad i didnt that Manley Bonnie for STA (crazy lady)!
He is great. He has an accent but understands that and tries his hardest to be clear. Homework is done for extra credit towards tests, and is graded on completion, not correction. Pay attention though because what he says is on the test will be there. He sometimes teaches differently from the book so you should go to class. His way is alot easier!
I got a C and I didn't even try. Thats how good this professor is. One of the best teaching professors I have run into my whole life. They should model all Math teachers after him. Hand writes the tests. keeps things simple. Only way you fail is if you don't try.
He is a very good professor! He is always so friendly and happy. I took him for finite math and liberal arts math. They are both pretty easy classes, and not like normal math. Do the homework for extra credit, and study for the tests. As long as you do all the homework, you'll do fine on the tests.
He's a really good teacher. If you do the homework and pay attention you are guaranteed an A. Easy class, not too much work. He doesn't care about attendance. Overall, just a good class to take.
If you have no background in math, don't take this class. I took college level math in high school but I barely passed his class with a C- my grade was a 69.98% and I tried my hardest... his accent and horrible penmenship will make his class that much more challenging... do yourself a favor and find an easier teacher, even if its at another campus.
This guy will not teach you how to use the TI-83 or 84 which make this course a breeze....run from this guy..there is another professor by the name "Pick" bases the entire course on the calculator
He gives you tons Homework that has no relation to the tests. His tests DO NOT match the homework and then when he does teach you a step by step process, he mixes up the steps on the tests to confuse you! I DO NOT recommend him.
yes, this teacher gives you tons Homework, and it does relate to the tests. You have to go to class and take his notes he uses different terms but if you ask he will take the time to explain. (if math is not your best subject)prepare for the worst. This class takes alot of time and dedication.you need to study! he gives extra points for homework.
Manesh is the MAN!! Awesome teacher. He puts all the notes on the board BEFORE class starts so you get a chance to copy and read them, then you can pay attention to his explanation of them without worrying about taking notes and the info becomes solid! Great teacher, Im gonna pass with an A and I hate math.Definately take him if you are weak in mat
i got in his class thinking imma have a ball. first test got 100, second test i had a 50. i was like damn, and depressed. so i buckled up and finished with a low B. i wasnt satisfied with my final grade. CLASS IS HARD, but you can do it. half of the class dropped the class. i'm good at math but damn. i'd recommend him but you gotta work hard.
I took his Statistics course during Summer A (6 week-course) And although it was very challenging, the work was was within reason. He is so helpful and caring! Now, this isn't saying you'll pass with ease, but he will help you as much as he possibly can! TAKE HIM!
He's the best math prof i've had. Make sure you know (and study) everything on the test reviews he gives and you'll do fine. Homework's extra credit. He takes the time to answer individual questions too. Super helpful. I would recommend him to anyone.
I don't understand why so many people like this guy, I thought he was a terrible teacher. The tests he gave had almost nothing to do with the homework in the book. He gave us the grading statistics for some of the tests he gave for all his classes and in every class there were more D's and F's than any other grade. Would not take again.
Way to hard. I did all the homework and test reviews, still the highest test grade I got was a C-. His test are way harder than the review he gives. After all the time and work I did I got a 69 D+ and when I asked for extra work I could do to he said no. The best part everyone else in the class that I talked to also got either an D or F.
Manesh is great! You can tell he really enjoys teaching math. He's helpful and willing to do problems on the board to make sure you understand. I've taken him for Liberal Arts & Finite and finished both courses with an A. I've never been great at math either. Take him!
He tries to teach which I give him credit for because there're professors that do not even try. However I did not seem to learn anything from him, I had to teach myself through the book. Also he gets problems wrong every day, yet he is strict when grading problems to the .0001 decimal place. I personally would not recommend him.
Great professor. You can really understand Math with him. If you have any questions, feel free to ask him. He will gladly help you out!
all he grades you on are 4tests.and if you complete homework you get extra credit (optional)also, attendance is not required (not that i skip)he makes sure the class understands what he teaches, and is very good at making a hard concept comprehendable! Does have an an accent, but i haven't had any trouble with that. Definately a great teacher!!! :)
AWESOME teacher. I hate math, but i'm passing with flying colors. He writes all the notes on the board so you can copy beforehand and listen to him explain, gives homework for a load of extra credit, and hand writes his tests. Test review is same as the test he just switches up numbers. Great teacher.
Great professor. Sometimes hard to understand and some of the homework was a little ridiculous, but overall he is a great professor and I will be taking another class of his next semester.
A complex subject made more difficult by Prof. Manesh's old-fashioned teaching style. You will hand-write copious notes, manually compute formulas, use paper tables, indecipherable formula sheets, and handwritten tests. Four make-or-break tests. Very low class average, and we lost a third of the class by the final. You have been warned!
I like him, but sometimes hard to understand. He tries to explain the material as easy to understand as possible, but sometimes it's hard to understand his methods. Otherwise, I think he's an excellent professor.
Great teacher.
This professor is very old fashion. Subject is hard, and with this he teaches very un- Orthodox. Very tough subject and not the best teacher. He told the class 2 week in that 75% of us will fail this class or drop it. Set for failure. Only 4 test.
Would never take him again. Don't recommend him at all.
Great Teacher! He explain everything thoroughly. The book is a necessity. But he uses his own examples that are on the test. 4 tests, reviews before them and is willing to help.
excellent professor. will not give you a easy A. Kinda have to work for it but nothing too hard or impossible. I am not a great math person, its just not my thing but I managed to get a B. he gives extra credit points on the test if you have the hw but you wont know which hw until the day of the test. hw is not mandatory just helpful to have
Easy. Easy subject matter and if you already know the basics, is an easy class. He makes it more general and easier than the text book makes it seem. I would recommend him to anyone who isn't good in math.
Such an easy class. I'm pretty good at math already, and I didn't need to attend every class. He explains everything step by step in great detail (sometimes not necessary but he does it anyways). Reviews before the test make them super easy. I recommend to anyone who needs to take a math class.
This guy cracks himself up, he just LOVES math! I think he's a great professor because he makes sure EVERY student knows what's going on before moving to the next chapter. He tells you exactly what will be on each test and goes over all test material RIGHT before you take them, so it's fresh in your mind. Def take this guy!
Took Statistics two times before and I had to drop out. Took it with him and I passed. Not a easy course regardless of what people say but this is the best statistic professor. Highly recommended.
GREAT math teacher!! You will not regret taking his class. Explains everything super thoroughly, makes it easy for people to get an A. HW is NOT mandatory! I never did a single hw assignment and got A+ on every test, did not have to take the final exam. Finished with an A in the class. TAKE HIM!!
I HATE HIM, HE IS THE WORST TEACHER EVER!!!! SAVE UR TIME AND MONEY AND PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.
Professor Manesh is a great teacher. He makes statistics very easy. & Everyone knows statistics isnt easy. He explains the material very well. HW is not mandatory but he collects it for extra credit on tests. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. I wouldn't want to chose another teacher to take this course!
Wonderful professor, heavy accent but easy to understand. Knows and understands math very well!! Very open to questions. No comprehensive final! Writes down EVERYTHING he says! Lol hw is not mandatory, but I recommend having the book! Gives a good, relevant study guide for each test! Had lots of fun in his class.
This guy teach 100 miles per hour, if you are not good in math save your time and money
He stands in front of his notes while writing and by the time he's moved he's on the next problem (you will not have time to take notes and follow what hes teaching at the same time) If you have a question about something he will make you wait until he's finished with the lesson to answer you. His accent and fast paced teaching is hard to follow.
WORST teacher i have ever had ! 19 out of 28 students failed and got an F. Only class i have ever had to retake. He talks down to the students and isnt a good or nice person. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS YOU WILL REGRET IT !!!!
I had to withdraw from this class because the test were confusing. The tests were hand written on a single sheet of paper. The assignments were very hard and long and the professor randomly selects one question to grade out of all the questions ( about 100) and if you get it wrong then you do not get any credit at all.
Class is and easy "A" make sure you do all your work and show up to class. Its a lab class didn't help me much for my actual class but get outside help if you struggle with math because you wont get help by taking this class.
IF YOU ARE NOT GOOD IN MATH DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! I HAD TO TEACH MYSELF. HE MOVES TO FAST AND IS UNCLEAR. HIS TEST OR CRAMMED TOGETHER ON 1 PIECE OF PAPER AND VERY UNCLEAR. HE DOES NOT HELP OR CARE IF THE WHOLE CLASS FAILS. FIND ANOTHER TEACHER!!!
Awful teacher, thats really all i have to say. He has an accent which makes it hard to understand sometimes. His tests are all hand written and are nothing like the examples he gives in class. Gives homework for extra credit, BUT it it easily over 100 problems and he only picks one and you never know which one it is. if you can, pick another teaher
I would not recommend any one to take him, he talk so fast in class it was hard to understand him, he doesnt give you partial credit for try to answer his handwritten test, Im an A-B student i got my first D from him so take my warning and not take him you will regret it.
Took him for express A Summer. He has an accent but you can understand him. He makes everything clear and if you ask him he'll give you any rationale for anything he does regarding problems. Uses real world problems, gives tests reviews and extra credit (the hw). He also goes over the tests. If you do the homework and pay attention, you'll be fine.
He is funny, and is very organized with the lectures. He assigns homeowork as extra credit, the only way to learn is by doing homework so honestly it was a bonus! He gives test reviews and examples of problems that will be on the test. If you take notes and do all of the homework you will get an A or B.
Easy class even if you don't like math. Has an accent but understandable. Each homework assigned is not collected BUT very essential to understanding the material. Do the work, pass the tests, and you'll pass the class.
This was the worst professor I have ever had for Math. I find it laziness on the teachers part that he can't even type out his test they're all hand written and nearly not understandable. Along with barely any space to mark your answers. He also doesn't answer questions about the work during class you'll have to find someone else to clarify for you
HARDEST CLASS EVER!!! DO NOT TAKE HIM !!! I'm very good at math and I had to withdraw from the class because of how bad my grade was. His accent is terrible, can barley understand him. Writes so many notes that you can't pay attention to him because you are too busy writing everything down. He speeds through his lectures so no time for expanding.
Statistics is not hard, but his handwriting & fast pace makes it hard. Lets you attend his other stats classes if you dont understand whats going on or missed a day. Tests handwritten, hard, usually no final, and his examples are useless. No useful test reviews. Nightmare class for visual step by step learners who need repetition and organization.
I had him over the Spring Term of 2015, it was a nightmare for me! This professor had an heavy accent but I can read his notes very clearly, but he all the time writes very fast and couldn't pay attention while learning! No reference sheet for test,
This professor is a wall talker. He writes his notes on the board and expects you to already be familiar with the subject, expects us to do the homework as "extra credit" to understand everything. The tests DO NOT correlate with his teaching. Had to drop the class due to him not teaching the subject correctly. Would not take him!
DO NOT TAKE STATS WITH THIS PROFESSOR. AVOID THE TEARS.
Professor Manesh's class was a little tough but doable. He gives test reviews and homework is extra credit!! It's a lot of homework but it helps you understand and it's extra credit so it's a bonus really. Pay attention do your homework and you should be fine.
Professor Manesh is old school. For our class, he wrote on the board. It can be hard for some students to see when he's standing in the way. He does take a step back after he's done, but don't expect to follow along that well. Uses MyMathLab which is a huge help. He never does multiple choice so be prepared to do the work. Lots of EC opportunities.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!!!! This professor bases his answer on a calculator. He makes up every example in his head. He even makes the test hard to understand. He makes you write ALL the notes and tries to explain them while writing them. Bases everything statistically.
Understandable accent, no final. Old school, everything is on the board but if you copy and take pictures for ref you'll be fine. DO THE HW. It's e.c. but extremely helpful & may save your grade. Tests are a bit hard, but it's the same concepts as the hw and he reviews before every test. If you put in the effort you'll definitely pass.
He is a great teacher the only thing is that he gives a lot of work but its only because he knows students wont take the time out to practice the work themselves. Which I personally understand,he gives you chances to pass his class with extra credit for test. He also encourages you to ask him questions about the work. You work for your grade.
I took him for a two math courses a while back. How you do in his class depends on how you learn. If you can teach yourself from a textbook then this class if for you because that's how I passed. If you need to the teacher to teach you with a lot examples and extra help then this is not the class for you. Doesn't give a lot of examples, hard tests.
Professor Manesh's accent made me struggle in the beginning, however a few weeks in I got the hang of it. Very fair grader and the extra credit truly helps. Also, he is so nice and understanding if you were to walk out the class mid lecture. One negative I would have to say is his handwriting! It's so small I can't even see it with my glasses.
Professor Manesh is definitely a tough one to have. The class is not impossible but difficult. There is a lot of homework for each chapter. Passable class but not with an A, although even for a B in the class it takes a lot of work and reteaching. Do not recommend him at all for anyone who has a struggle in mathematics.
He's one of my favorite professors so far. I got an A from going to class and doing my homework. EASY class. He gives so many chances to get extra credit that it's almost impossible not to pass. If you are a slacker, don't want to do homework, or study for tests, you won't pass. In my opinion, you won't pass in any class like that anyway.
I would not recommend this teacher to anyone who is not that good in math. He starts off the semester easy and then stops explaining as things get harder. He writes his own test in his handwriting which is very confusing. He goes right through the lesson and is very old fashion.
Now you listen to me sir. The three words I would use to describe you are aggressive, hostile and definitely difficult. Im irate.
This class is just disrespectful. Think of this class as an ex that cheated on you, now imagine that that same ex maxed out your credit cards, ruined your credit score, and hooked up with your mom. This class is more disrespectful than that. Dropping out would be more efficient than taking this class. I passed stats, but I am now empty inside.
This class is going to be hard, especially for those who struggle in math. He goes through the lesson fast and doesn't explain really well and his test are hard. He is also old fashion so grades won't be on blackboard. He's understanding but I would not recommend him.
One of my favorite professors for sure. He always gives very elaborate explanations while giving his lectures and is good grader. He gives plenty of extra credit opportunities and as long as you do the hw you will pass. 10/10
