Very nice teacher. He does care about you. Very funny, makes class enjoyable to the point that you don't even realize that it's time to go. The class is easy, BUT his test are hard. So make sure you study and do all of the homework.

Mike McPherson is probably the best teacher I have had @ Cerritos so far. He's organized, he accompanies all of his lectures with a power point presentation, he's a motivator, you will love his class, he also used to be a football coach @ Cerritos so he's got that coach like teaching skills!! He's tight!!

Mr. Mike McPherson is so cool he makes you want to come to class and learn, he gives you something to SMILE about when there is NOTHING to SMILE about. I will never forget him...

Great Teacher, has interesting stories to tell. Fun Class! Now, the notes that we have to write down, alot of it isn't on the test. So, if you don't study for the test odds are you're not going to do well. His tests are on the harder side. Just make sure you study and you should be fine. Doesn't give out much HW and they're easy to complete.

This teacher is great. I did not want to miss one day of class because I enjoyed and learned so much.I still use what I learned today and have an understanding of optimal health.GREAT GREAT TEACHER!!!

Hes awesome he teaches you in a energetic way always happy professor. Changes the way you think at the end of the semester. He makes us do easy group work. Gives us study cheats. READ THE BOOK to help you improve in the class because i would have gotten an A i just didn't read the book ,he is not bad to look at either for those ladys out there. =D

HE is one of the best teachers i have had. Very energetic that makes you wake up and enjoy the class. In my personal opinion He knows how to teach! and explains lecture step by step. Very humorous and caring. I actually don't like going to school but when it came up to going to health class i wouldn't miss it! I learned alot from his lectures.

He's fun, he keeps you awake, he's very realistic-- A black and white kinda guy as he would say. Basically do the work, vocabulary and crosswords are cake. For the tests i DO recommend studying if you intend to get an A. You WILL pass. Anything you need he will do his best to accomodate you. This is one of those classes where you WANT to be there.

gives no study guides whats so ever. hes coll in all but the his tests are hard. At least hes accol guy just not the best teacher. they type to drink a beer with, not to learn from.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TEACHER. He really teaches you the material. Hes power points are great and get to the point. In addition, he brings his stories that relate to the topic to help you understand the material better.

IF you read, You will get an A. He acts like the class is so hard but in reality, its not. All you have to do is show up, read the chapters and you'll get an A. He has 1 paper that will take you 30 min to write if you're smart. Hw is easy just make sure to turn all in.

Mr McPherson claims to be the best teacher in school and you will believe him in the end of the class. He has a very interesting lecture everyday and you will enjoy his class. The only thing to worry about is actually studying for the test if you don't you wont get a good grade at all. You literally need to memories the chapter for an A.

If you are really to dig inside the textbook then you will get an A. He is a very interesting man that will definitely keep you awake! You do need to study the book in order to get an A, and possibly do the extra credit he offers. Great teacher if you crave actual knowledge.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. You do need to read the text book in order to pass the test but he gives you a study guide. He is very laid back and super helpful. He talks a lot but the stories he tells are funny so time flies in that class. Also attendance is a must he hands out papers and if you miss class he wont give them to you.

Hes a really good teacher i would really recomment taking his class. He hands out a study guide to let you know what your grade is going to be based on but he doesnt hand out one for the test because he wants you to use the book which is going to really help. Attendance matterS he hands out classwork and he doesnt hand them out anymore

He is an AMAZING professor. Despite the fact that I took this class at 6:30 am, he found a way to keep the whole class engaged. Funny stories, laid-back, and helpful. You HAVE to read the book but he makes you want to. DEFINITELY choose him!

I absolutely loved his class. No matter when your taking his class whether its early in the morning or even late at night the class is full of energy with him around. This is the Professor to choose!!

I just totally love his class. The way he teaches can make me stay awake the whole class period. He is funny, and always sweet. The only thing is you need to read the chapter. but isn't it what student supposed to do? If you read the book, u are totally fine.

My most favorite professor! His course is really engaging. You will not fall asleep in his class. Read the textbook chapters once prior to a test and you will do fine. I found it extremely hard to fail. He cares about his students a lot and he will let you know that (trust me).

This class is really easy if you just show up and pay attention. The teacher is great! He makes the class fun and interesting and the lectures are really straight forward.

This teacher is an OG, he is a straight shooter so & gets all his test questions from the book or homework (crossword puzzles) As long as you do the work you will get a good grade. Your final is a 50 question test on the LAST chapter & a two page research paper which he assigns in the beginning of the semester.

Easy class, but you have to read the textbook. His lectures really aren't useful, I would focus on reading the book mostly.

He's very funny instructor, he made all the people laugh in class everyday and he likes to joke around. Easy going and read the textbook. The test is base on the chapters and very similar from the book and multiple choice questions. Easy A for the homework and he's the best health instructor and fun class.

mr. Mcpherson is an excellent professor, he not only helps us a lot, but he allows us work in groups. On the first day of class, he tells you how it will be and he means it. I will miss that teacher.

I had his class at 6:30 AM and i thought I was going to fall asleep during a class at that time but he kept everyone awake and interested he is a very nice professor he will be in different group with different people every 2 or 3 weeks so don't get comfortable cool class though

hes black and white.. no gray areas! hes hilarious and knows what he is talking about! you need to study the whole chapter in order to do good on the test! i recommend him its a fun class!

Where should I start? Best professor on campus. He was so motivational, make lectures fun and interesting. I never wanted to miss a class, that's how good he is. His test were not too hard if you read the chapters he tells you to read, and hw would always keep your grade up and prevented you from failing. He was such a chill straight up professor.

He provides extra credit, you are really lazy if you can't do his work.

This guy is certainly a really amazing teacher. He makes sure that he gives a good lecture for everyone to enjoy. Homework is easy and just study the chapters (like a real student should) and you'll be set to get an A. Two days to study two chapters is NOT enough no matter how good you are academically. I learned it the hard way.

I took his class because it is needed for it to transfer and someone had recommended him. He incorporates real life experience into his lecture, it clarifies the lessons. Very easily going, straight forward, and helpful. Complete all of the homework, look over the sections he points out, study ahead of time, and you should pass with an A.

Professor McPherson is the best professor you're going to find at Cerritos College. There are 6 tests, homeworkvocab that you have to do. The tests can be hard but if you study ahead of time (Read the textbook)you should pass the class with an A. He gives out extra credit as well. This is one class that you will incorporate in your life! Trust me.

He gives homework but it's easy, you have group work but it's fun & exams will be a breeze if you study! Would definitely take again!

If you don't think you'll be able to get up and be there at 6:30AM then this class is not for you. His lectures are always interesting and he enjoys making his students laugh. His homework is extremely easy, but if you want to pass his exams then you better be ready to read and study. Expect to work in groups to do some in-class homework

BEST PROFESSOR IN THIS COLLEGE. He will tell you anything and everything like it is and he doesn't care if you don't like it. He is the most genuine teacher I've ever come across and he will teach you more than what is on the syllubus. Would definately take again. Mike is an amazing professor. Very inspirational and teaches some good life lessons. He is very confident and intimidating sometimes. No sugar coating. Tells it how it is. He reminds me of Frank Underwood from House of Cards!!! Also, he will probably be showing you this page around the beginning of class to show that he's good at what he does. -MM

Professor McPherson has to be the best professor on campus! He is very inspirational, energetic, and simply awesome. I highly recommend him. Amazing Professor! Really organized in collecting homework, which is amazing, make sure to always study from the book and ask questions. He's extremely funny always talks about his family especially his wife and his car. He's strict on retaking a test , he will not let you retake a test wheather its a good or bad excuse. Tests are alright as long as you study your notes, the HW, and the sections he tells you to read up on - offers some extra credit (take a PE class the same semester you take him) and is a pretty nice, funny guy who has a lot of interesting life stories that relate to the lectures

McPherson is a great professor at Cerritos College!! His course consisted of 6 exams, easy homework, and a final essay. He offers extra credit and gives help when you need it! Also, be there for the lectures because you will miss a lot. He wants you to succeed and be a college student!

Mike McPhersons was an amazing professor. You can say a real American dad this guy is paramilitarized instructor that really pushes students to be college students gives great oral lectures. I heard hes a great althetic director and gives great advice in setting goals for weight loss or muscle gain. I recommend you try his class out.

One of the most inspirational professors at Cerritos College. He is truly one of those professor that cares about his students BUT expects you to do your work (as you should anyway). Lectures are very enjoyable especially if the whole class participates in discussions, for me this class was like free therapy but educational.

Great professor had him in the fall 2018 he's retired i believe i would take him if he was still around
