pretty easy but hes a hardass
He's a sarcastic ass. He expects you to know things you don't. However his lab grading is easy and so are his tests.
Miller is an AWESOME prof. i fricken hate chemistry, but this guy actually will explain/answer any question of yours in an easy/explainable way. definitely the most friendly, easy-going chemistry teacher (possibly Any teacher) i've met at creighton. take him!
I LOVE PROF MILLER!!! he is such a cute little guy! he is really helpful and if you study his notes and do your homework it is an easy B-A. offers ALOT of extra credit! at one point i had a 116 in the class!
Dr. Miller is a great lab professor! Sure, you have to make weekly lab write-ups and take two practical lab exams, but they really are not that hard. Plus, this soft-spoken chemist is VERY clear with directions and helpful. And he's kind of cute too!
He's a great teacher. He explained everything we needed to know very clearly and was always willing to help. He's also really fun and easygoing. Everyone in my class had an easy A. I highly recommend him for chem lab.
WHY is he not teaching the chem lecture along with lab? He's a wonderful lecturer and super clear. Very approachable and well mannered, he's a really fun lab instructor. Don't worry about your grade, it will take care of itself(I think he tells TAs to grade easilly). If you get the opportunity, take him. You will NOT regret it.
Great easy teacher for chem lab. It does sometimes seem like he's talking to a bunch of 1st grades with his tone, but either way, it's an "A" in the class. Easy, helpful, and clear, what more do you want?
He is a good teacher, I wish I took him for gen chem and not just the lab.
I LOVED DR. MILLER! I took this course to brush up on some chem for summer school. Never did much chem in HS, so I sucked beyonds words!.. with this subject, but he tried to make it fun and you have no choice but to learn because you have a quiz every week and an exam at the end of the month. He makes you work. Such a cooky guy! haha love it!
I'll tell you why he doesn't teach lecture...because he sucks. His tests are impossible. The multiple choice questions are absolutely ridiculous. Then he puts definitions and such on the test that you will never hear. His goal is to trick you on tests and he is very good at doing it. Taking him in the summer was the worst decision Ive ever made
vry fast lecture - don't miss any class. the material is difficult (its orgo!), but he's quite possibly THE MOST FRIENDLY PROF ON CAMPUS and will help you if you ever have the smallest/stupid question. i hate this material and find it mostly useless, but enjoyed the class simply because he's so friendly. a true, compassionate christian.
When I wasn't doing homework I was crying. Summer should never be like this!!!
Nice guy, good at explaining things. Seems detached but is always willing to help. I never didn't know what was going on.
Mike is awesome. He's a little soft spoken so sit near the front. He really loves Chemistry and is willing to work with you. Don't slack off on your homework (it isn't graded) and you'll be just fine. He gives quizzes in between tests to help you with your grade and sometimes gives extra credit back on tests.
Dr. Miller is such a nice guy. Truly enjoys his students and wants them to succeed. Once let us take home a scheduled quiz when he knew we had an anatomy exam that day. Clear lectures but fast. do not miss class or have someone take notes. Quizzes are often difficult to understand as questions are very indepth and hard to weed through.
He is perhaps the best lab prof. I've ever had.
GREAT professor! Really cares about his students and understands that they have other classes besides his. Incredibly patient and gives lots of opportunities to get points. I highly recommend him.
Funny guy and pretty helpful, but he is more concerned with you learning the concepts than he is you getting a good grade. He plays with the grades a lot (usually to your benefit). Wouldn't recommend unless you have a background in Chemistry, which I didn't.
I love him! He was an amazing Chemistry teacher, makes sure you understand everything and goes over things in class. Wants you to do good and will do anything to help. TAKE HIM!!
HE is a very hard professor. I spent a lot of time teaching myself the material. He tries to trick you on test questions and is very good at it. If you can I would take someone else.
Dr. Miller is a really friendly profesor. We have reviews before every exam and he pretty much tells you what to study. He is a very fair grader and will stop whatever he is doing in his office to help you. He talks soft so sit up front if you can't hear over the usual class chatter. Oh, he has a really quirky sense of humor!
I loved Dr. Miller! He's probably one of the nicest professors at CU. Chemistry is a hard subject, and he does his best to help you understand it. He truly cares about you and the grade you recieve. Definitely take him, he's adorable!!

I can't believe it has taken me any time at all to rate Dr. Miller, because the man is such a delight! He is there for you all the way, he does expect students to put effort forth (for example, do your homework, ask questions if you are confused), but it and him are really worth it! If you are pre-med, and want to learn, take him!!!!!!!!
Dr. Miller is a great guy. Tests are impossible (they are way too long for 50 minutes) and moves faster than every other professor. Talks so quietly that you can hardly understand him.
Makes orgo quite easy. Sometimes tests are hard to finish in the time given. Moves fast but highlights main concepts well and doesn't get trapped in details. Recommend highly.
Dr. Miller is the best orgo teacher you can find. He does challenge you, you will be frustrated. But he is fair, and the lectures are clear. He is very upfront about what you need to know. Awesome guy, interesting humor! Helpful with anything, even if its not the class you're in. (ie life, whatever)
Dr. Miller is probably the best Orgo prof for pre-med students. You NEED to dedicate time to do well. He expects you to learn the basics and apply them to more complicated problems. Most of the quizzes are based off of the notes, so be actively engaged during class. Sit near the front as his voice tends to be quieter.
Extremely difficult, but isn't that what life is like? The man teaches you survival skills for the future. Take him if you want to learn!
Expect to dedicate all of your time to do well. Go to office hours weekly if you want help, and do it quickly because he writes you off if you go before/after tests. Tests are long and hard to finish. Often calls people out in class or makes fun of them. Much better for gen chem than orgo. Try to take gross first. Must do all homework to succeed
Dr. Miller is an awesome professor. He made a difficult subject easy. He made everything so easily understood. Plus, the test are exactly like his quizzes and he is always willing to help if you need it. I definately recommend taking him.
Funny and energetic professor. Extremely helpful and approachable. He teaches so you retain the material. He made orgo simple and enjoyable! Im taking him again for orgo II.
Amazing. Dr. Miller made everything so clear. He is always willing to help if you need it too. Tests aren't that bad if you study and know the material.
Great guy, really personable. He covers material extremely fast and has very hard tests, so it's a trade off. Fletcher is a good middle ground choice.
Best teacher to take if you're pre-med/dent/pharm etc. Be ready to work for an A and don't expect to be his bestfriend because he's not personable. I'd take him again just because of how much I learned from him, if you want an easier A though...take someone else!
Dr. Miller is a really great professor. This is not an easy class, you can tell he knows his stuff and wants you to know it as well. His exams are pretty tough but if you pay attention in class, take his notes, and take your own notes from the book you should be fine. He is great.
Dr. Miller is the greatest science teacher ever. I've never had chemistry before but he makes it very easy to understand. He's also very cute and laughs at his own jokes. TAKE HIM! He makes chemistry enjoyable!
Very helpful professor!
Mr Miller is an awesome instructor! He uses humor to make the class enjoyable. I will definitely take him for chemistry next year.
Dr. Miller helped me survive Organic lab. I registered for him again next semester. Dr. Miller is always in motion around the lab. He saved my product when I knocked over my erlenmeyer (sp?) flask once. YAY! He's cute too!
Decent lab professor for orgo. Don't forget your calculator. It makes him crazy.
By far the most AMAZING teacher I've had. I've heard he's tough for Orgo (but still a PHENOMENAL teacher) and for Chem he's super easy. Gives hints all the time and is hysterical in class. I look forward to his class every time! Can't wait to take him again! LOVE DR. MILLER! TAKE HIM!!!
INCREDIBLE teacher! Makes class enjoyable even if you're not interested in Chemistry. Dr. Miller is an absolutely hysterical guy and is a cute prof not to mention! I HIGHLY suggest taking his classes! AMAZING!!
He was fantastic! Very helpful, explained everything with great ability. Was crystal clear in what he wanted for tests and quizzes. Amazing!
Not good for Orgo 1. All the positive ratings are for either introductory CHM classes or Lab. Lectures are decent, making you feel like you know the material, but when test time comes, get ready for the guillotine. Heads will roll
Not sure about the last 2 comments. Dr. M. hasn't taught Orgo I lecture since f2008 cause my sis wanted to take him last year but he was teaching lab only and Orgo II in the summer. I would recommend this professor to anyone. One of my favs.
Dr. Miller is such a great teacher BUT his tests are impossible. If you're not one for crying, avoid at all costs. His tests WILL make you cry and make you feel like your head is being chopped off by a guillotine. Way too much information on his tests- it's impossible. 60 ppl in class starting --> 24 left.
Fletcher is so much easier than this guy. If you want an A take any other teacher. When it comes test taking time, heads vill roll.
Probably the best science instructor I've ever had! He cares about students and can make you laugh at 8:30 in a chem class. The tests arent always easy but are fair. The questions are right from class notes. There are easier profs but you actually learn something in dr. M's class!!!
By far the best chemistry professor I've ever had. He makes the material interesting, while explaining it in such a way that the concepts and important ideas "click." His tests can be challenging, but if you go to class and study, an A is not out of reach.
He is a really good professor. Pretty funny as well. Go to class, take good notes and his tests will be easy.
Do not take Miller! Do whatever you can to avoid him! Not helpful in office hours, enjoys making quizzes and exams impossible, he smiles at his students failure. TAKE ANYONE but him. He will make you doubt your own intelligence, he will make you feel so worthless and unaccomplished. If you want to maintain your confidence and and sanity DO NOT TAKE
Great guy! The best chemistry prof I've had. He gives tons of extra credit to help. Orgo isn't easy, but he makes it clear and interesting. I wish he had taught gen chem!
Taking notes and going to class is a must. Tests are very challenging so you have to know everything. A lot of extra credit is given which helps a ton! Study for the quizes because they help your grade and make studying for the test easier.
One of the best professors I've had at Creighton. However, his exams are EXTREMELY challenging. But he offers a couple extra credit quizzes before each exam which help a ton if you study for them. He is super helpful in office hours and his lectures are crystal clear.
Not bad, but his tests are impossible. even if you study like crazy, getting an A is impossible.
Dr. Miller is one of the tougher organic chem professors at CU. If you are planning on taking the MCAT or DAT, then take Dr. Miller. He does an excellent job preparing his students for these entrance exams. He makes you work hard and his exams are extremely tough but you will be happy you took him when the DAT or MCAT rolls around.
He is nice. He is a good professor, lectures are clear. His exams are horrible
Dr. Miller is my favorite professor I have had at Creighton. Not an easy class, but you will learn a lot if you put in effort and he is very clear and helpful. Take his class if you can.
Miller is fantastic. Had him for Orgo2 after he changed his class to make it more fair. He was extremely clear, concise, and helpful. Exams were only 1 page (he fits a lot onto it, but it's less intimidating). DO PRACTICE PROBLEMS. Lots of EC. Prepared me for a near perfect DAT OC score.
Dr. Miller is by far the most challenging Organic Chemistry professor at Creighton. That being said, he is probably one of the nicest and caring teachers at Creighton. His next are next to impossible but he does offer extra credit quizzes to boost your grade.
This will be a tough class. Be prepared to work hard, and be okay with not getting an A. You will learn a lot, and he truly wants you to do well. Talk to him in office hours, and don't be intimidated even though he's an oddball. Great professor overall.
Challenging is underestimating this class. If you want an A, I highly recommend that you are on your A game everyday. If you are worried about maintaining a high GPA so you can get into professional school, you should listen to these comments & not take Miller.
Dr. Miller is an amazing person and an amazing professor. He really takes the time to teach the things you need to know to build up your knowledge of chemistry for higher level classes. I got 100 percent in this class. He is very dedicated to his students' learning and I highly recommend him.
Very challenging course and often times I was confused during class. Some of my friends took Gross and understood the material a lot better than I did. Miller's test are not easy, however he was helpful outside of class.
Dr. Miller covers material quickly, and thoroughly, but if you're willing to work an A isn't impossible. He's more than willing to help you outside of class and is very patient and kind if you're struggling. His tests are hard, but very fair and he's open about what to expect.
Dr. Miller is my favorite professor I have had at Creighton to date. Has the most genuine interest in student's success of any professor, and far and above compared to other Orgo profs. Purely extra credit quizzes that go towards exams. Extremely approachable and helpful in office hours. However, by nature, Orgo is tough. You still have to work hrd
Dr. Miller is great, He cares about his students and provides ample opportunity for success if you put the work in. His tests are very engaging and build off previous chapters. Memorization will not help for his exams if you do not understand the concepts you will not do well. He is more than willing to help.
Dr. Miller truly wants all of his students to succeed in his class. He offers several extra credit quizzes which are awesome because they force you to keep up to pace with the material. Orgo is by no means an easy subject, but an A is definitely possible with him. He is also very approachable, and will do anything he can to help you out!
Let's be real here. I am a senior in Orgo, I failed Gen chem freshman year. Miller is difficult, but I read the book and did the homework. I wrote down questions and emailed him (24hour response). Stay on top of the hw, ask questions, ace the EC quizzes, and you'll do well on exams. I had 11 EC points for an exam, just for staying on top of hw.
Hands down the best chemistry professor I have had. The reason why he is such a great professor is that he really cares about you and the material; he is passionate about it. He made me rethink my major, but I love biology too much. He makes his lectures interesting with his sarcastic sense of humor. Can be grumpy if you ask stupid questions though
Had him for summer orgo. He makes you work to get an A but hard work will pay off in this class! He's very passionate about organic chem and it translates to his lectures! Lots of homework and tests can be a bit tricky, but he gives extra credit quizzes. Answers questions well, but tends to be a bit snarky if he thinks a question is "stupid"
Definitely the smartest professor I've had. Sometimes he expects you to be as smart. His exams are tough but he's willing to help and gives loads of extra credit to offset the pain.
Dr. Miller is the go-to for Orgo Lab! He has a clear grading criteria and makes Lab as easy as it should be for 1 credit! Take Miller!
Outstanding Organic Chemistry professor. He is tough, and kind of a smart ass once in a while, but it makes class fun and interesting. Really cares about his students and will do almost anything for them to succeed. For my class, he dropped the floor for an A from a 92 to a 90 and then decided to drop your lowest exam, and he did this randomly.
Miller cares a lot about his students and WANTS everybody to succeed, but his tests are also very difficult if you don't have extra credit points from the quizzes. U need to be able to keep up with homework that he assigns. He is also very reasonable-he dropped the lowest test score and lowered his A to a 90, u are also exempt from final if u hav A
without a doubt take his lab. A is a 90 and he dropped lowest lab. Fun to converse with but can be a smart ass if he thinks you're supposed to know the answer. Lecture was fine, hard tests with extra credit. One of the things i disliked the most is that he is very unorganized on the board and jumps from place to place frequently. No practice exams
Dr. Miller is by far one of my favorite professors on campus. Not because he's always nice, but he knows how to challenge his students to get more out of them. Once you learn how to test in his class you can really succeed. He has 1-2 extra credit quizzes before each test that really give you a buffer if you do well cause his tests are HARD.
Ok. So I dont know how its possible for a professor to skew so far from what he teaches in class with whats on the actual exam. He teaches simple and understandable things on the board and then its something complexity foreign on the exam. Hes also very arrogant and could care less about other students (even when he claims he cares)
I knew this class was going to be difficult when I signed up for it. It is Organic Chemistry after all. However, I feel like it would have been way easier to understand if his lectures were written out in a more linear form and put up on Bluecast to review things we may have missed. Also, at times he was very rude when asked questions in class.
Im a chem major and this class was horrible. Learned only how to take his exams and not the actual material. The way he words things on exams are extremely confusing. Don't take him as an orgo professor if you actually want to master the topic and learn, His class is more of knowing how to take his exams than actual knowledge of chemistry
I can honestly say that Dr. Mike Miller is the sole reason I will not be able to attend medical school.
His lectures are long and pointless, the things he teaches don't correlate to anything on the exams. Honestly saw your withdraw for a class that's actually difficult rather than a lazy professor. Miller doesn't teach half of what's in the book and your expected to know this information in depth somehow. And he's rude.
anyone else is better than him, sure his A is a 90 but exams are extremely tough and the extra credit quizzes are very easy to mess up on. Do well on the quizzes and you have a shot. Doesnt teach the material well enough to truly understand everything. He is accessible outside of class and has some extra hours on the weekends.
He is an amazing teacher and lecture is pretty clear. He gives extra credit quizzes. Super tough on tests and wants things super specific. While you can talk to him outside of class, he is some one who is a little condensing towards students. I don't believe this is on purpose, just one of those people who are too smart for their own good.
His board is so messy and unreadable. Exams are unpredictable and each question builds on itself. Hes not the most amazing teacher hes average. Take any other chem professor and not him
Basically study your entire days and get a C on an exam. Take anyone else but him. Hes horrible
If you take, you (unless you are super smart) will fail. People get 40's . tbh miller doesn't care. He thinks that the students who don't have A's are the stupidest humans. He's absolutely a horrible person and to be honest I am not lying when i say this. My friend had a family funeral and he told her that she shouldnt be affected by it but failed.
After the third exam, 45% of the class withdrew because it was impossible. Exams are sooo hard and hes sooo unnecessarily picky. Hes ruthless. DO NOT TAKE HIM . He is too self-conceited and takes too much pride in himself. Has no empathy or care for the students who are struggling. Does not convey material well at all.
Self-Care. If you want to actually learn the topics and be able to master organic chemistry do not take him. He does not know how to teach in a way that reflects his exams. Exams are IMPOSSIBLE.
HIs lectures were very confusing and his exams were impossible to complete. I'm not usually one to complain about the work needed to get a good grade but I studied for a week and a half in advance and still didn't do very well on exams.
Dr. Miller isn't an easy teacher, but he challenges students in a way that will push them to their limits. I disagree with those who said his tests were impossible, he drops your lowest one. As someone who isn't a chem guy myself, I can say that Miller has done everything he can to help me grow. Dr. Miller isn't a bad teacher, orgo is a hard class
yeah orgo is a hard class however you really have to put your all into this class. Personally I would never take this professor again because the lectures and the exams were different. I tended to get confused on a lot of his exam questions and it seemed like no matter how "smart" or "hard I studied Id still do mediocre.
Absolutely amazing professor. I wish I had taken him again for Org2. He was always mucho nice and helpful and the exams are right from notes. Some students blame everyone but themselves. Look at DrMs earlier ratings, he hasn't changed.
TAKE DR. MILLER! I love this man (I've never written a review except for him). He gives TONS of extra credit, drops lowest test (1st semester), & doubled your highest exam instead of a final (2nd). Lectures & tests go right with the book HW thats "optional." Usually, if people did not do well it was because they didnt do the HW, take good notes, etc
The best professor I've ever had. Tells you exactly what's on the exam and gives so many quizzes to help you prepare. I am very glad that I was able to get in his section!!!
BEST ORGANIC TEACHER. PERIOD.
millers exams are right from the notes. he made orgo enjoyable and understandable. I never though I would write that about any chemistry course. take him over all others. you won't regret it.
My roommate and I took Dr. Miller for both semesters of Organic Chemistry. We both earned A's, though she didn't work as hard as I did. His exams are fair and easy to finish and he is always begging for questions. Can't say I asked any. Take him if you have a chance. I hear he's even better in lab.
Very clear about lecture. Sometimes rambles a bit. Friendly and good sense of humor.
Prof. Miller made it interesting. I give him an A+ and a dinosaur.
Graded on tests only. Very clear about what one should know for each test. Lots of extra credit. Unexpectedly eccentric in his sense of humor. I would take him for every organic chemistry class.
Love him, take him.
Dr. Miller is by far the easiest orgo professor at Creighton. He still helps students learn the important material for MCAT and other admissions tests, but he does not make you memorize details you will forget right after a test.
Dr. Miller is the easiest orgo lab professor to take at Creighton. He does a good job of helping students learn important concepts without dwelling on pointless details.
Dr. Miller says that the lecture videos are "canon" but continues to put questions on the quiz that were not covered extensively in the video or practiced in the video. He is probably not experienced in teaching so we can cut him some slack but I've already spoken to students in Gross' section and they have it way easier. Take gross if u want mercy
if you want quizzes worth 5 points but with 7-10 questions that all build on each other take this clown. The Gross section has 1 quiz on 1 lecture every week. Miller has 1-2 quizzes on 3-4 lectures every week. Not to mention you won't even learn anything because you just get discouraged by all the things you have to do. WE HAVE OTHER CLASSES TOO
WORST ORGO PROFESSOR. PERIOD.
Dear Dr Miller If your quizzes are coming back to you with a 50% average, maybe you're not teaching 50% of the material very well. Maybe you're not covering 50% of the material on the videos, yet you decide to still put it on the quiz. Maybe YOU'RE NOT DOING YOUR JOB.
"Videos are canon" he says, but puts questions on quizzes that you will not know if you just watch the videos. He is not respected in his department. I spoke to multiple other organic cham professors and they all hear terrible things about him. One even urged me to take a better professor. Bottom line is unless he can't teach what you need to know.
Hey Miller, we have other classes. our life does not revolve around orgo. Thank you for giving more quizzes than all my other classes combined. Thank you for giving past classes multiple attempts for the quizzes but only one for us. Totally doesn't inflate or deflate any grades doing that *cough cough*. CURVE THE CLASS
Don't bother watching the lectures. The quizzes do not out lectures. I just took a quiz and legit the first question had a vocabulary that he did not even mention in the lectures. Legit did not say the words that were in the question once.
Do your job. Asks quiz questions about things not even mentioned in class. ugh. frustrating
Dr. M drops 5 out of 12 quizzes, you get to use cheat sheets with quizzes, he has office hours on Sat, etc. Hes a great prof and cares about students. The midterm avg was a B+. I notice the last rater didn't say what vocab word he didn't understand. Probably "honesty". I have a 95% in the class and I missed 2 quizzes.
Personally, I had a great experience having Dr. Miller for Orgo I. Many complain that the quizzes don't entirely reflect what the lecture videos cover, but to that, I say if you read what he assigns every week and do the textbook problems, you will be okay. He does a great job at answering questions, and the midterm average was 90%. Take him!
Overall, okay Professor. Are there better Orgo profs to take? yeah. He tries but sometimes the info doesn't click with some people. Gives quizzes that can boost your grade. I personally wouldn't take him again
Great professor, Makes OCHEM very easy. Does tons of work to prepare you for the MCAT.
One of the best profs I've had.
Miller is a downright awful professor. He understands the material well but does a horrible job of explaining it. His tests and quizzes do not reflect problems done in class or on the homework, so be prepared to see stuff on the tests you've never seen before. Do yourself a favor and take somebody else.
One of my favorite profs at Creighton, makes Orgo very manageable and an awesome human being. 10/10 Recommend, got an account on this site just to get his rating up on here.
Do not take him, no matter how much you study you will not pass, because he makes the exams impossible to pass. He does not explain the material well
I wouldnt recommend him he cant teach he doesnt know how to explain and the test do not cover what he teach in class.
I wouldn't recommend him for any class, he knows the material however he doesn't do a good job explaining it
Dont take this prof, he cannot teach whatsoever, lectures are unorganized and homework does not reflect quizzes or tests at all. Tests and Quizzes are ridiculously hard. If you manage to get a decent grade first semester it doesn't matter because you wont know what your doing 2nd. Expect to teach yourself everything.
Dr. Miller is very intelligentbut is not the best when it comes to explaining. The homework doesn't reflect the quizzes or exams (imo). You get 3 chances on the quizzes. Take it once and then figure it out. Look it up on the internet or teach it to yourself. If you understand that you'll be fine on the exams. Put in the work urself you'll be good
4 exams, 8 quizzes (three tries each, drops lowest 2). I thought he was good at explaining subject material, sometimes there were random test questions on stuff that he spend two seconds on in class. do all of the homework and really study the quiz questions and you will be fine. he wants everyone to succeed.
I came into college knowing absolutely nothing about Chemistry and I took his intro class in the fall and he is AMAZING
He's intelligent and explains things well. This semester there were a lot of instances when he had to cancel class, and he would post videos instead. His videos would often be much longer than the hour and fifteen minutes it would have been had we had class. He's not very accommodating, but he makes that clear at the beginning of the semester
Miller is a great intro to chemistry professor! He is always willing to help and makes sure you understand the concepts. In class he teaches how to do the problems and goes over vocab. Outside of class you need to put time into practice problems and reading the textbook. He is very on top of things and gets grades in the grade book right away.
Such a sweet guy. Never has class on Fridays. Cancels class quite often just because. Very short lectures.
No class on Fridays, so you can for sure make it to office hours. Although it was an intro chem course, always was happy to clear things up, and loves his analogies to give a picture. Online quiz due on Sundays can be very hard but makes exams easy. You can find the textbook pdf online for free.
Dr. Miller is honestly a great professor for chemistry. No classes Friday and lectures are very concise. He works hard to make sure that he is available if you have questions. There is a few extra credit points throughout the semester. If you're taking Gen Chem take it with Miller!!
Great professor. Definitely recommend for Orgo I. Gracious grading scheme.
Dr. Miller is absolutely incredible for orgo lab. He is so straightforward and has a wonderful grading scheme. The TA's were also great and the class was really fun. The class structure was also super chill as it mainly focused on techniques. This has legitimately been one of the best classes I've taken in college. Take Miller for lab if you can!
Professor Miller's classes have a specific style, but if you engage with it, you can do well. The textbook is helpful, and using Unstuck ai along with attending study sessions can make a difference.
Take Dr. Miller for a chill and relatively easy lab. He is so wonderfully clear and straightforward. Had him for both semesters of orgo lab and couldn't ask for a better experience. If you put a little bit of effort into your pre-labs and have a good lab partner, it makes for a wonderful, fun class. #ForeverGrateful #LoveMiller #MillerBetterThanAli
Best orgo professor. If you are premed, take him. Orgo is a smaller part of the MCAT, and he teaches exactly what you need to know, nothing more. I heard the DAT is a little more orgo-heavy, so maybe take another professor if predent. Exams are straightforward, with multiple attempts for every online quiz, and extra credit for every exam.
Dr. Miller my favorite chem professor. I struggled to understand Orgo I and in Miller's class my grade went up an entire letter. He was super accessible outside of class and will hop on zoom with you at any time. He also only focuses on material that may appear on graduate admissions tests like the MCAT and DAT. Make him your first/second option.
I loved Miller's lab as much as his lecture. It was the most confident I've felt in any lab at Creighton. He explains everything clearly and concisely and is always walking around the room to answer questions. He never failed to make lab interesting and I loved that he always talked about purpose of the compounds we were synthesizing. TAKE HIM.
