Phenomenal teaching ability. Tells it like it is and doesn't waste your time. Clear, helpful, pleasant. If available I would reccomend Mike for any math class at Oregon
I have never had a math teacher that used different colored chalk and spent time on the apperance of his examples. He is an amazing instructor, young, easy to talk to, and humorus. I would take any math class you can from this guy.
Mikey Price is the best math teacher i've ever had. Campared to the girl I have now for math 111 this guy is jesus. Take any math class possible from this guy, you will love him. Such a good guy!
Seriously the best math teacher iv ever had. So clear, funny, easy going, and young. What more to ask for. Test are very clear doesnt try to trick you. Tells you everything that will be on it. By far best teacher at UofO, no joke....take him!
easiest class I've ever had - only went on test days - mike seems like a very nice guy.
I really love Mike Price. There were times when I would ask questions, some of them were probably stupid, and he would patiently go back and explain everything. He is really concerned with his students understanding the material and doing well in the class. He's awesome!!!
makes math much easier!
good teacher
Mike is a great teacher. He's patient, helpful, understanding and clear. He is also fun and humorous. About the actual course: We used the textbook pretty much every class and, unless youre good with math, you should probably be there everyday. If you have to take a math class, definitely try to get one with Mike...you won't regret it.
Mike Price is a very helpful teacher. He cares about his student's understanding the material. He jokes all the time and the class not borig like regular math class. Very good teacher. I totally reccommend him.
Mike Price is a wonderful teacher. He is funny and makes jokes in class and laughs at himself. The way he explains things is very helpful. Very clear when giving examples, very neat penmanship. I would recommend this teacher to anyone!
Take the Math 211, 212, and 213 sequence from him if you think you might struggle with it. Mike is the best! Not to mention he keeps the 9am class entertained with his jokes. If you need to visit him during his office hours, get there early. He is extremely helpful.
Love him, a great teacher. makes the class not dull and is clear in his lecture notes and actually tells us what will be on the midterms. I recommend taking any math class with him!
BEST professor ever! i had him for 95 and 111. i wish all the math professors are like him.
Great Teacher, he explained class material very clearly and very effectively. I hate math and find it pointless but needed it for Business credits, and he made the class as enjoyable as possible. good sense of humor. And worked with your schedule nicely. I took the summer session and it was fabulous!
THis is guy the best teacher alive!! no joke, he is amazing at teaching and he does a great job on everything. Too bad he doesnt teach much anymore. but i would major in math if he teaches.
Great teacher. Knows how to get students interested and focused.
Hes awesome! If you are trying to find a teacher for a math class and he is available, PICK HIS CLASS!! He likes to joke around, he clearly explains everything, he has review session, an amazing friendly guy and knows how to have fun in class so its not deathly boring!! HE IS THE MAN!! A++
best teacher at the U of O! so outgoing and positive, keeps students entertained and made me always want to come to class. he explains everything in detail and clearly and knows what he is talking about. love him!!!
This professor is AMAZING!! He is one of the best professors in the math department. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!! he writes out all the steps and gives full explanation with examples. HIS CLASS FILLS UP REALLY FAST so, if you have senior friends ask them to hodl the spot. You will pass the class. i got 40% on the final and passed. BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!!!!
If you have to take a math class, take it with Mike. Like everyone else said, he is an amazing professor. He's hilarious and really helpful. He's definitely one of my favorite teachers at Oregon and I hate math.
Mike Price is an excellent professor. He makes math (a rather dry subject) actually interesting. His teaching is also easy to understand for both his MATH 111 and MATH 241 classes.
Mike Price is the man. He makes class entertaining and is very clear during lecture. Take his class! his weekly quizzes were relatively simple. only gave one webwork assignment a week. His tests were pretty hard as expected when you take calculus though
He is a great professor, and always with patience. It's really helpful to study with him.I LOVE him!!!!!!!
Good guy, very good for student. But if you want get help from a 500 class(Math241), you'd better work hard at first.
Simply the best teacher I've had at UO to date. He goes over the material really well and makes a normally dull class fun :] Also, take note at his many tie options..
Professor Price is by far the best teacher i have had in math. if given the option to sign up for his class DO IT! im still amazed at his perfect hand writing on the chalk board.
Great teacher. Math 242 was extremely difficult, but I went to every lecture because he was really helpful with his example problems. Print out the lecture example problems before class and be extremely organized with your notes. Very helpful when approached. Excellent handwriting. Tests took days to study for, but it was calculus.
Very clear lecturer, approachable, wants students to succeed/cares about students.very patient, tries to be available for help all the time.realistic with good sense of humor.Enjoyed this class only due to his teaching.
He has a good reputation as a meh professor in math 242 and 111, however in math 247 he is hard grader. The quiz are always hard and the final is insane hard. Its not a regular calculus class, it cover more in depth differential equations. Its more word problems than solving problems.
This is the best math class I have ever taken. He is extremely clear and well-organized and isn't patronizing at all. I was dreading completing my math requirement but he made this class both interesting and entertaining.
Great Professor, explains concepts well and uses good examples. Very passionate about teaching, set up a review session outside of class before every exam.
Best teacher I have ever had. Do the work, study and you will ace this class
Very helpful and excited to teach. He made the class interesting.
I found this class pretty difficult and didnt really like the exam format at all-spent too much time on True/False and not enough time for the long answer Q's (my mistake obviously but they are pretty tricky). The reviews are supposed to be "at least as hard as the exam" I found the reviews a lot easier than the exams but maybe its just me.
A fantastic, helpful, enthusiastic teacher. One of the best math teachers I have ever had.
Nice teacher and very helpful, but class is hard.
Best Math Teacher I have ever had!!!
Mike is great! He has a super awesome attitude and a great sense of humor. He makes things make sense too and will spend the time with you to make sure you understand. He was super fantastic!!
The only math teacher I've had in high school or college that could demystify math for me. He could explain a theory 5 different ways until everyone in the room knew what he was talking about, he even made sure to go all the way through his examples. He always made himself available to students even if that meant extending his office hours.
I like Mike a lot. Wasn't an easy class but he really cares about his students and he's a genuinely nice guy who will help you out whenever you need. He has it together.
The class is awesome, he is a great guy. He is super helpful during office hours. I strongly recommend him.
Does more then most professors due, such as the videos he makes so you can watch before class. Super helpful. Watch them.
Mike is a great teacher. He really wants you to do well and understand, and is extremely helpful. I reccomend taking math with him!
Awesome professor. His lectures are interesting and his teaching style keeps you engaged. Be ready to study outside of class. Unless you are a genius in the subject, you have to work for your A. I found myself teaching myself certain portions of the material because I hadn't done algebra in 2 years, but if you need help, he's the best person to ask
One of the smartest math professors I've ever come across. Highly recommend. You will learn a lot, but don't take his class if you don't plan on working hard. Answers questions very thoroughly, is very helpful and precise with his language. Cares about his students. Would definitely take again.
This class was very difficult and I am not pleased with my grade. But I guess all math 241 classes are this difficult so what can you do
Mike Price is one of the best professors I've had so far. He explains everything very well and will answer any question you have during lectures and takes the time to make sure you understand it. Also his tests are easy if you pay attention and understand the material.
Homework each week. 3 projects , they are hard but GTF always helpful. Exam will be similar to the study guide, do it and go to office hours. 2 midterms, 1 final, 3 projects (only 3% of your grade but they are hard)
Great professor!
Great professor! I recommend printing out the lecture notes posted and taking notes during class. 2 midterms and 1 final. Show up to the review session and understand the concepts and you should be fine. Extra credit was given for each test. (Including final) He did curve the class, so try to score above average! GTF's are always helpful for hw.

The Kobe Bryant of all professors. Its obvious how much he cares about the well being of students and how much effort he has put in. An overall great professor and easily the best professor I ever had
Best math teacher I've ever had. Wouldn't want to take a math class with any other teacher.
Mike Price is honestly one of the best professors on campus. I took math 241 and 242 with him and I don't think anyone could have done better. Lectures are tough because theres 300+ people, but he is very good about posting sample exams with solutions before every midterm and final. The class is unavoidably difficult, so expect to work VERY hard.
Mike was an outstanding professor. He had clear lectures and was very helpful outside of class. He is really easy to talk to and he will help you with any math problems you would have. The class itself is extremely difficult but Mike tries to make it clear and concise as possible.
Although Business Calculus is not the best class ever, Mike takes a ton of of time going over the material and making sure his students understand the concepts. There is a lot of work for the class, but if you go to his lectures and stay on top of things, you'll pass.
Mike is a great professor despite this being a hard class. He is helpful during office hours and via email if need be. Extra credit during discussion is helpful but the curve was not nearly as large as the 241. Tests and Homework are hard but if you go to class often and office hours sometimes you should be fine.
Best teacher I've ever had. He offers about 4% extra credit so take full advantage of that. His lectures are clear with individual problems building up to complex word problems. He always color codes everything and you can tell he's genuinely so excited to teach this class. If I could take him for every course I would.
I didn't pass 241 the first time I took it, but I took it with Mike a second time and got an A. Mike is an absolute god of a professor and he is funny as well. He wants you to pass and even gives you bonus codes to help you out on the exams. Calc is hard in general but Mike makes it as simple as possible.
Best teacher I've ever had. Makes lectures well worth your time, iClicker and discussion quizzes boost your grade a ton! Make use of the TLC tutoring in the library if you need help and can't get to office hours. Incredible teacher, the only time I've really enjoyed math class.
Best math teacher on campus. Lots of work on occasions (ex. case studies will kick your butt) but other than that just go to class and pay attention. Iclicker questions in class to give you points and the quizzes during discussions are only for participation (not graded for accuracy- correct answers give you extra points though!). Love Mike!!
The best math teacher at the UO. Lectures are extremely helpful, and he gives out extra credit like it's candy. I had him for both Math 241 and Math 242 and honestly, I wish he taught MATH 243. Do yourself a favor and choose him as your teacher!
Even though the material was difficult, Mike explained it very thoroughly and made sure his students understood what he was teaching. He was always in a good mood and made class a little more exciting with his funny comments.
Mike Price is the best math teacher I have ever had. His notes are easy to follow and he posts them on canvas too. He gives weekly quizzes during discussions, but you get 100% for just taking it and extra credit for every right answer. He gives out bonus codes for exams to give you a couple extra points.
he is super accommodating and easy to reach outside of class. No mandatory attendance but he uses clicker question every lecture for participation. Only homework is weekly Webwork and an occasional case study. Always posts notes on canvas and study guides before each exam.
Mike is an awesome math teacher for his class size and I highly recommend him.
AMAZING!
Great professor. Helpful lecture. Caring students. Definitely highly recommend!
he makes me feel good about math. definitely recommend!!!!
Best math teacher ever! Mike is hilarious and really cares about his students. He makes it easy to pass even if you're not the best at math.
Mike is the best math professor at UO and makes it really easy for you to get a good grade in his class
Hes a great professor. Really funny and he really cares about the students. This is a hard class just because of the content but he really tries to make it easy and he will definitely go out of his way to help you if you just ask for help. Definitely reccommend.
I hate math, but loved this class. The lectures are easy to sit through and the material is explained well. Not a lot of homework.
I hate Math but Mike makes everything easy for the student. He IS THE BESTTTTTT!
Literally the BEST math teacher I have ever had!! I would 100% recommend his class. I had him for Calc and Stats. He explains everything really well, and he really cares about his students and if they understand the material! He offers lots of extra credit too!
Awesome Teacher. Super helpful and accommodating and wants his students to succeed. If you pay attention in lecture and do all of your homework to the best of your ability, you're almost sure to get an A. He's also just a really nice and genuine guy.
Price is such a great teacher. He gives out a ton of extra credit, but all in participation. Show up to every class, do the assignments and you will get a good grade.
He would give us bonus codes for extra credit to use on tests.
Professor Price is one of the best professors at this university. He made learning the material extremely easy. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you go to class all the clicker points are extra credit. Theres a lot of webwork but doing it really helps ur grade. The test were super straight forward. I only went to half the classes and got an A.
Mike is not only the best math professor Ive ever had, but is the best professor Ive ever had in general. I took this class the term before and received a D, took Mike's class and had a solid A all up until the end of the term (I got a B+ because of the final). He actually cares about each and every student's success and it shows! HIGHLY recommend
Professor Price is an awesome professor! Lecture is not boring, and he will keep you laughing! Plus you ll actually learn statistics
Mike Price is an excellent instructor, who you can tell has been teaching for quite some time. I took his Math 101 class in Fall of 2018. He is a talented teacher when explaining a math problem he is consistently patient, thorough, and effective. ALSO! He is Math department head, he has also wrote the MATH 111 textbook used at the UO. He is not dry
I've never rated anyone on here before, but Mike Price was so good I had to. The content and material was difficult, but he did a very good job explaining it. It is very clear he cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Extremely nice guy. He is my favorite professor at U of O, and I am so glad I got to have him twice.
Really nice guy. Easy to understand. He used the ALEKS math program for homework. Test were easy as long as you went to class and practiced the work.
I loved taking Math 242 with Mike, he is THE best professor ever. I'm not a Math genius but when I took his class I really did feel like it, Math 242 is the easiest class I've taken in college. Mike is very good at explaining the concept so it is very easy to then do well in the midterms, plus he gives plenty of opportunities to get extra credit!
Price was one of my favorite professors Ive taken. He cares so much about his students success, and as long as he can see that youre trying and not making excuses he is always willing to help. his lectures are straightforward and the homework is always way harder than the tests (the hw has unlimited attempts) so tests seem easy.
THIS MAN IS A KING, he's def the best professor i've had in a mathematics class. Def cares about his students and if he sees your trying, will provide you the help necessary
Mike is a gem! He's super nice and funny, plus he gives extra credit opportunities a lot! The best math instructor at UO and that's on period.
Thank god for math teachers like Mike Price. I really cannot sing his praises enough. If you think you're "bad at math" he will prove you wrong, inspire you and empower you. Learned a ton. I never thought I would ever say this but I love calculus!
Asynchronous lectures online and mandatory attendance for discussion sections
This dude is an absolute legend through lectures online. He is always cracking jokes and make math as fun as possible. He actually cares unlike other teachers during this pandemic.
Surprised as to how many good reviews he has since online learning was bad. He posts lectures but GEs are the ones doing all the work & teaching us in discussion sections. Final was extremely hard, but daily/weekly quizzes were pretty easy. Mandatory face reveal for Discussion to get Attendance points on weekly math packet, & Webwork is HARD.
Mike was an amazing teacher, however, make sure you are putting in 100% effort and advocating for yourself. Webwork is really the only tricky thing. Make sure to ask questions when confused, you will get them answered 100% of the time.
Mike Price is the best math teacher you can get for Math 241. He is clear and concise and his lectures are great. They can be lengthy at some times but he makes a great effort to ensure that his students really understand the material. He will always help you with any question you may have. I made it a point to get Mike Price for 241 after 111.
Professor Price is your best option for any math class at the UO. His lectures are incredibly thorough and clear, and all the assignments and tests are very clearly related to the course content. He very clearly cares about his students. You need to put in the study time for tests and quizzes but the study material he gives will get you an A.
A gem!! One of the only professors that really cares about his students and goes above and beyond. He never makes you feel dumb when you are confused and genuinely wants to help you understand the material. He is also so funny and you can email him any time of the day and he is quick to respond.
Mike Price restored by faith in the University's math department. Someone, please give this man a raise.
Mike is by far the most kind and understanding professor I've had at UO so far. If you email him with questions he typically responds fast regardless of the time of day. I found the math itself to be hard and a little time consuming, but Mike made it bearable!
Fall 2020: Mike Price was very accessible outside of class and was very accommodating to his students. If you go to office hours and show effort in this class, you will be alright. As for his teaching, he was very informative and had very good pace for the class. Highly recommend taking one of his math classes.
Make sure you pay attention to lectures and attend office hours, he will work with you in any way possible and is a great guy with hints of humor in his lectures as well. I enjoyed listening to him teach.
I literally made this account to express my gratitude for Mike; you can tell he's a super nice person and cares about his students and math. I took the class online but he was always helpful and understanding through e-mail exchanges. I recommend his class, as long as you do the homework and put some effort forth, you will understand the content.
This class is extremely difficult and I spent hours every week in tutoring. Part of this reason might be b/c it was online, so I highly recommend taking this class in person if it's offered. Other than the numerous videos, lots of webwork assignments, and difficult tests, Mike was a nice professor that usually responded quickly when you need help.
Mike was an amazing teacher, he made a pretty hard class into a fun lecture. he lecture videos were helpful,a good length, quirky and fun. although this class was tough there are plenty of resources to help you succeed. mike is easy to get in contact with, flexible and a great communicator.
His online lectures were really easy to follow/take notes on and the videos were surprisingly calming. I didnt like the course project because of how hard it was graded, but the grading really depends on your GE. He was a great prof that I would definitely take again
OK so Professor Price isn't a bad professor by any means. He clearly understands the material and explains it well, the only issue I had with this course was the amount of work. It was solely online, but I would spend an average of 2-3 hour per day (upwards 20 hours per week) solely on work for this class. In the end my grade curved from a D to a B
Mr. Price was ok, really caring and nice guy and was very accessible outside class BUT he is extremely hw heavy, will spend upwards of 10-15 hours a week on his class alone and half the time I was not understanding what was going on.
He's very understanding & wants everyone to do well. 1-2 hrs of lecture almost everyday + hw. There's a final project AND exam, but he cancelled the final & made an @ home one for extra credit. Quizzes & tests can take awhile, was never able to finish them in the time limit. If he taught other classes I'd take them, but I wouldn't take calc again.
I had Mr. Price for an online math course. His lectures are extraordinarily clear, the grading standards are clear, and he actually makes math fun to listen to. I'd highly recommend him. He might be the best math teacher I've ever had. He is willing to meet outside of office hours as well. Expect lots of homework and hrs/week though.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. He is so bad I would give him a zero but I can’t so I give him a one. So much work, you put way more time into it than you would for a in person class. Webwork is extremely hard, i got under a 50% on each midterm with a tutor. So hard, so much work.
Mike's lectures are great and make sense a lot of sense. However, he refuses to give paper tests out and only uses webwork which makes partial credit impossible, even after over half his students complained in the survey. This class is so well taught but so poorly graded its a shame to see mikes ability to teach go to waste by his stubbornness
Super nice and very understanding!
Mike is the best. The workload is manageable. The tests are easy. He is super flexible and understanding. He is funny and has clear lectures and lots of office hours. If he is teaching the math class, TAKE IT! Mike truly is awesome!
Recorded lectures were great, if he didn't use WebWork religiously for tests, quizzes, and HW the course would be great. He made the final optional and was a great professor in all ways. Course structure was very organized and easy to follow online. Avoid Sebasian for GE at all costs.
I took Professor Prices Math 111 class ASYNC, and I loved it. He explained concepts well, and he had lots of example questions to help you grasp concepts. Test prep for his class was very helpful, and he always let us have a sheet of notes for the tests.
Online Math 111 has 3-4 lecture videos to watch each week around 20 minutes each. There are weekly quizzes, two midterms and a final. For the homework it is often WebWork 2-3 times a week and a written packet. This class has a lot of homework but is not very hard as long as you don't let yourself fall behind.
Cool dude. Took it online but the structure was amazing and it never felt too heavy. He really cares about his students and you could tell through his videos, an amazing professor who taught super well.
Mike Price is very nice! Webwork is not as nice though...
Mike is an amazing professor who truly tries to get to know his students. He helped everyone throughout the term and genuinely wants students to succeed. His class is homework heavy; however, they are short and don't take much time. I found that they helped my understanding. If you can work with Professor Price, you definitely should.
Mike Price made it worth waking up at 8 every morning to go to math. He was funny, understanding, and gave clear explanations for the content. It's pretty easy to get a good grade if you just take the class notes. He gives extra credit through getting iClicker questions right, and allows for a page of notes on tests. Fantastic professor.
Professor Price is the best of the best. He is so funny, caring, and understanding of the students. He really wants you to succeed and makes 8:30am classes worth it. He gives LOTS of extra credit, so if you show up to class and put in a little bit of work. You'll do just fine. If you can take math with Professor Price, do it!
If you have to take a math class, take it with Professor Price! He's a really nice guy who genuinely wants to see his students succeed. He offers tons of extra credit, and his lectures are easy to follow.
Mike was the best possible stats professor I could've asked for. He made an 8:30am math class fun and I learned so much from him! Mike really wants to see everyone succeed and offers a lot of extra credit. The workload can be a lot but it really helps you understand the content. Definitely take Dr. Price if you get the chance!!
Wow. Amazing. I'm sure many students taking biz calc as a freshman are like me: "ahead" in math in high school, but not necessarily great at it. I took this class last year in high school (calc AB), and did horribly. I'd always been a good student, but there's something to be said about an effective teacher. That's exactly what Price is.
He is very understanding and wants students to succeed. He tries to make the class as enjoyable as possible with it being a calculus class. He is very knowledgeable
Although calc itself is pretty hard he makes it pretty easy to pass the class, 2 midterms, 1 final, but the lowest one gets dropped. Lowest quiz is also dropped, project over the course of the term which is awful but he helps you a lot if you have questions. He is an extremely nice, caring, helpful teacher that just wants his students to succeed.
Even though I had a background for calculus I found this class to be far more confusing than it had to be. Some topics were explained well but others were not explained in a way that someone who does not think mathematically would understand. The information for homework assignments was explained after the assignment was due which was frustrating.
Mike was super friendly and kind. This course is fairly difficult but if you put in the work it is manageable. I recommend going to tutoring and encore classes. Mike does offer quite a bit of extra credit if you pay attention in lectures and through posts on canvas.
Very easy to get ahold of and wants students to succeed. Lectures are easy to understand with guided notes available. Weekly guides on canvas help to keep track of work. Seriously, best math teacher I have had since elementary school.
Fairly easy course with lots of extra credit opportunities. If you struggle with exams the way I do Price is a must take. There are all sorts of opportunities to boost your grade through projects and EC.
Mike is amazing and I would 100% take another class with him if I could. He explains the lessons really well and his office hours were so helpful. He does move pretty fast during lecture, but always makes sure to check in with the class. Attendance wasn't required, but if you're not good at math then don't skip. 10/10 GOAT'd math instructor
Amazing at teaching and explaining topics. The GE's are a hit or miss. He always wanted to show up to class and was excited to teach.
This is hands down the best teacher I have had! If you want to succeed you have to go to pay attention in lectures but his iclickers gave you extra credit. The homework could be time-consuming but overall his grading was fair. He also had the option to drop the lower test between your midterm and final which helps your grade a lot!
Mike is literally one of the best professors I've ever had! All the lectures are so funny and he takes the time to actually engage with you even in a five hundred person lecture
I took this class freshmen year winter term and flunked out of it, now as a junior I have a B+ without a curve, Mike is by far the best teacher I have ever had for math and explain and really cares about his students. Mike if you are reading this keep up the great work class was difficult, but you made it manageable, thanks!
Mike's a great teacher, he does his best for every student in class and his lectures are very good in my opinion. This class was very hard for me but Mike is not the reason for that at all. You will have to do a course project thing that is very confusing as my GE didn't explain it at all.
He might be the best professor i've ever had. He is so helpful and respectful. If i could i would have added every single positive tag to this review. His lectures actually teach!!! He is a rare enigma of a professor. I took his class because it fit in my schedule but now I felt like I won the lottery. S tier level professor. Take his classes!
Mike is a phenomenal professor. I was worried about taking calculus but he is very good at teaching and I really enjoyed his class. He also has a great personality. Take a class with him if you can!
Best Prof I've ever had! Very thorough explanations and truly cares about topics and students. Nice and hilarious, just pay attention in class and you're solid.
the sweetest professor i've ever had :) took this course Spring 2023, my freshman year, & i still rave about what a great professor he was! very encouraging & wanted his students to succeed. exams were easy, & he would often give out extra credit codes in lecture. the class is structured for u to get a good grade as long as you participate & do hw.
Super down-to-earth guy and is very thorough and straightforward with his lectures. Lots of personality and expresses he genuinely cares.
Mike is easily the best math professor I've ever had as a college student. He truly cares about the success of his students with his clear and concise grading, his attention to detail during lectures, and his personable attitude. However, make sure you attend every class because Mike does iClicker questions that reflect on your participation grade.
Great! I am terrible at math and did struggle in class, I had to get tutoring but that's just because I need one-on-one help with math, he was a great teacher and down to earth! he is even lenient with late work, helped me with an assignment I forgot to turn in during finals, and gave me full credit. 2 midterms 1 final, drops lowest score!!!.
Excellent for Business Calc, probably the easiest way to take calculus. I got an A in this class and am proud of that. If you put enough time/effort into this class, you should have no problem at least passing. Take Mike Price if you can
Best prof ever and it's not even close. Used to hate math, but he genuinely made it interesting and fun for me. Finally understand calc thanks to this guy.
Great professor. Business Calc is known for being one of the toughest classes. Can't imagine taking it without him.
Mike Price is by far BEST math teacher ever. Made this class feel so easy, not too much homework and lots of study guides/extra credit for exams would 100% take again!
I love him
He is the best! The class itself is pretty difficult but he makes it manageable.
Although he is a great guy, he teaches very quickly in lectures, and it can be hard to keep up with him sometimes. Loved the dad jokes though.
Genuinely explains the math concepts in an engaging and easy to learn way. I cannot say enough good things about him. TAKE HIS CLASS. HE IS AMAZING. Not to mention funny and very kind. 10000/10
He's a really fun professor and he teaches the class really well.
This is genuinely the best professor at UO. It's the first professor that I have had here that is understanding of students needs, he provides multiple extra credit opportunities, He understands that students aren't only taking his class and that most of us have at least 3 other classes and jobs.
mike price is the goat. its obvious he loves what he does and lectures are very easy to follow. You take 5 tests throughout the term and your lowest gets dropped. I'm god awful at math and I was able to get a pretty good grade in his class. Theres also one big course project that is a good chunk on your grade.
Literally the best math teacher I've ever had. I loved his grading criteria, understood what he was teaching in lectures, and he's so sweet. 10/10 would take again
Professor Price genuinely cares and wants you to succeed. He is super helpful and clearly loves his job. The class is structured for student success and lots of bonus opportunities are offered. Put in the work and you will do well in his class. 10/10 best professor I have had. If you plan on taking 241 you HAVE to take it with professor Price.
For MATH241 he was great. Just pay attention, take good notes and go to office hours if you need help and you will do absolutely fine.
Mike Price was great. I like math, but I found the content very hard. There are 5 tests, but the lowest score is dropped, and there are opportunities for extra credit and an online test to boost your real test score. There is also a course project, and I felt that they graded it generously. If you have to take his class, take it with him.
