He'll make you think, go to class, take good note, you can use them on tests
Very straighfoward, uses his personal exp. as an attorney 4 class discussion
Curses at you if you don't know something
awesome teacher,keeps the
Great guy, knows his stuff. Love his class.
Good Teacher. Tests are straightforward
great teacher(esp during summer)...real-life examples/situations
easy, cancels class alot and his tests are very easy.
easy easy easy curve examples in class on the tests
BEST TEACHER at TU, study CPA exam samples, test are similiar, makes class fun
real lifeexamples, class is exciting, if happy with grade dont have to takefinal
USES REAL-LIFE EXAMPLES. TESTS ON EXACTLY WHAT HE SAYS WILL BE ON TEST.
Entertaining, funny, curves alot, great teacher
one of my favorites, optional final:)
Practical guy, knows what he is talking about, fun class
One of the best teachers I have ever had
Great teacher. Knows how to entertain the class. TAKE THIS TEACHER
This guy has been teaching at TU forever. How can law be that sustaining.
It was a great class. He has a good way of relating law to everyday situations. Funny too, Trust him.
The best teacher on EARTH. Curves the tests, let's you use your notes, and if you're close enough to the next grade, he will curve it up.
Definitely take this class with him. He uses real-life examples, and the examples he says in lectures will the same problems on the test...and you use your notes. Not just easy, but a great teacher.
He doesn't give back any papers. He didn't go over the exams so there was no way of knowing if he did curve the grades or to know what it is that we got wrong. He digresses; he tells stories that has, in no way, anything to do with the subject matter.
AWSOME! huge curves! My 70 average was an A!
Huge curves had him this summer 2003. Curved one test 20 points, easy, easy, and easy. Funny, knows his tuff. One more thing to say he is easy!
He said he curves, but I don't believe it. There is a lot of information to know.
Wants to be everybody's best friend. Doesn't cover much in class. The tests are easy. (i.e. Who's your favorite teacher?) Didn't learn a thing in LEGL 225. A real waste of money.
great teacher, knows his stuff, brings in real world examples... Oh yea and "trust him" Also he's much better in the AM than PM
I had him for Elder law... doesn't sound like as much fun as 225, but still not bad. He actually does this stuff so we learned a lot. Not terribly difficult, recommended
Awesome teacher. Gives interesting examples to help teach material (ie. kobe bryant) And he does this for a living so he knows his stuff. 2 of 3 tests were open notes. Take this teacher!!!
Easy class, easy professor, Don't book, just copy notes b/c the exam is open notes and huge curve, don't need any study. Remember just pay his social security in the future. TAKE HIM. EASY A.
Not a bad teacher. Do not ****him off. If he gets mad, it means extra assignments, and makes you take the final. If he asks for questions and comments, you better speak up.
hes ok, gets mad very easy, make sure you talk in class, curves if he likes the class, interesting, final optional, hard to get in touch with
He does curve. Does not take attendance. His penmanship is not too great. Notes were allowed on the exams but they did not help. Participation is a must. Overall, I enjoyed the class.
Not as easy as everyone says. He is ok, not easy to talk to, and is moody. When he gets upset, watch out. Knows his information, but I felt like he was lecturing me, not teaching me. You make the choice, I would try someone else, heard Neil, was awesome!

excellent teacher, if you can't get along with this guy you have issues, he used to cancel class often until people started putting it in these ratings, which he reads!
Thinks he is god
I thought he was an awesome teacher. He really got me interested in law, and helped me decide I wanted to major in law. He is kind of cocky at times, but he uses real life examples and doesn't throw any curveballs on the tests.
Good guy, good classes...got me more interested in law
This guy is arrogannt, but by far the coolest teacher Ive ever had. "Now I could just get up here, and read from the book...This is real stuff ladies and gentlemen" Made me want to come to class to hear him talk. Take
Very arrogant but also funny to listen to. Class is fairly easy but I reccomend going to class to keep up with everything. He repeats the same speeches over and over too. AND MAKE SURE TO ASK QUESTIONS!
Awesome teacher !!! He is really nice and willing to help you as long as you try, and ask questions. Repeats himself, but it's well worth it, b/c he makes you understand it !!
best teacher to have for business law. you actually learn stuff that can be useful in real life. make sure you go to class because then you can use the notes for your test. Easy B at least, no final but he likes to mess with your head about your grade
I don't know what you guys who called him arrogant are talking about. He seemed perfectly nice and down to earth to me. Not terribly easy but not terribly hard either. You'll learn something as long as you go to class.
Excellent class, even for people who don't need it as a requirement. You'll learn all kinds of stuff that is useful for any profession! Funny guy, lots of real world examples.
Not easy test, but curve 20 points!!! He likes you to talk and discuss with him. Said he want to fail 70% of class EVERY SEMESTER, never do so.Easy A/B.
Good teacher and interesting lectures..just take notes in class and you will do fine on the tests..there is not much work..just two or three tests..he is a lawyer so you learn a lot about law and how it applies to you.
Great Teacher! intresting guy, breaks everything down for you very well and the test are CPA style and have a huge curve which is helpful. Just make sure if your going to miss class you write him an e-mail he tends to get pissed if you can't answer a question from a previous lecture or handout you d
HE IS AWESOME! He and Mr. Neil are the reason I have a law concentration in Business. Four tests, all multiple choice. Show up to class on time and study for the tests and everything will run smoothly.
i've never seen a curve so freakin BIG!! i got 25 out of 50 on this test...now with anyother teacher thats failing right- but not seganish. he gave me a B!!! lol wtf! i love this man!!! take this class, great teacher. the final is optional! a class like this comes along once in a lifetime! lol! a B!
He is kind of a jerk, although the final was optional and the tests are curved 20 points on average. The test material was rediculously hard. Don't miss class
awesome teacher, one of the best i've ever had! taught subject matter by using real life scenarios. hard tests, but doesn't matter--open book and huge curve (u've gotta be some kinda special not to at least get a b...). take him if u can, he's the best!!!
Super guy! Simplifies concepts & actually makes the subject feel easier & interesting. This is not like what we think of boring law classes with some unclear old guy blabbing. Those of u who think he's arrogant, u takin it too personally. He's not arrogant, he's confident. And that's good. He's real.
What an awesome class - he's funny and keeps you interested. Lectures are entertaining - he knows what he's talking about, so you don't even have to buy the book. As long as you take good notes you'll do well on the exams. Final exam was optional... take him for whatever you can!
his the best teacher one can ever have and passes his materials across easily if u want an A take this class and he curves every exam
his the best teacher one can ever dream of having his class is always interesting and his an example of a teacher dedicated to his job
What a wonderful teacher. He is the reason I have decided to major in Business Law. He really cares about the students and trys to make the topic interesting and relate it real cases. He knows what he is talking about, he is a lawyer. Awesome class!
Great teacher. Very clear about topic. Easy A if you study a little bit. You MUST participate though in this class to do well.
Take this guy. He explains material very well and is a lawyer. So he's very interested in what he does. Easy class if you study a little.
Best teacher I ever had. Made an early morning class actually worth going to. Takes notes, he does have some open book tests. Highly recommend

Take it early, he will help you wake up. Very good professor. Tests are asy,as long as you go to all classes and take notes, read them before the test and you are guranteed at least a B.

No attendance policy. Very interesting and doesn't make you stay the entire class. Lets you use open notes on tests if class participates by asking questions. So ask questions. Great about final exam. Very nice guy, great grader. Not easy to get in touch with outside of the class room though. And his notes are kind of sloppy but make lots of sense.
I think this guy is a jerk. Good thing he doesn't have an attendance policy. He freaks out if you don't participate and punishes you by not letting you use notes for test. Just take notes, no need to buy the book.
He is funny and focuses on the essentials. Just attend class, study some, and you can skip the final if you do well enough on the first few exams. I found the book somewhat helpful, but I am a nerd.
Seganish is the man! His class is very straight forward. He is more than fair with the class. He will let you use open notes for exams if the class participates by asking questions. Take notes on what he tells you in class, and you wont even need to buy the book (I didn't). He cracks jokes during class and never keeps you the full class time.
Very rude! He gives you such a hard time if you don't understand his questions and embarrasses you in front of the class. And I don't see how anyone could find his notes helpful. I think he's a compelete jerk
Great teacher overall! Class is hard but if you show respect for his class, he will help you.
Go to class. Take notes. Go over them and sample questions before the tests. He will curve the tests a lot. Easy stuff even if you hate law.
he's a pompus, arrogant jerk, but he wants you to know the things he knows because it will help you in the future. He's rather confusing in lecture cause he jumps around. However read the book & take some notes & you should be fine.
He may be good for bus. law, but he is terrible for elder law and you are screwed because you have to take him. lectures unorganized and disjointed. test ridiculously hard because just from lectures. I'm an A student, this class is still terrible.
I think this guy is a COMPLETE jerk. He calls people out for going to the bathroom or talking in class and makes you scared to participate. His notes are so scattered that it's almost impossible to follow. His test questions are very unclear and are strictly on his notes. No need to buy the book.
Great teacher. He's very funny.. makes class interesting. Don't buy the book. Definately take him. Come to class though because the tests are based on his notes. No HW, 3 tests. He let us use our notes. I got an A easily, and it was a fun class. No reason to be scared to participate, just dont be rude to him and you're fine.
very good professor. I always enjoyed going to class since he applied the law to real life situations. Only 3 tests and the final was open notebook. Only problem with class is his lectures are scrambled so sometimes hard to follow.
Very funny and uses some interesting examples. I enjoy his class although he is all over the place with his lectures. Exams are poorly written and include a number of questions that relate to topics never discussed in class.
Great teacher loves what he does. Very helpful
Great Professor...one of the best at Towson by far. He relates his lectures to everyday life (sex, violence, drugs, etc). Come to class and you'll pass easily b/c his exams are based on his lectured material and he tells you (the class b4 an exam)exactly what will be on it. Participate when you can! It helps!
I'll start with the positive: he gives you the option to take the final! All I have to say is Read, Read, Read! He's a good teacher and knows his material well. He teaches from experience, and does not go according to syllabus. It can be difficult if you don't ask what chapter he's speaking from! Despite all the that, I got a B+!
Seganish has a lot of positives. Despite this, his multiple choice tests generally have nothing to do with what he goes over in class. His grading is also pretty sketch, because we never get our tests back, and people who think they've failed get A's, and those who think they aced it get C's. If you like to earn your grade, don't take.
funniest teacher in the world! i want to go to this class everyday, its like being at a comedy club!! have it 1 time a week...ive never been in the class for more than and hour and 45 min..real nice guy...deff recommend this class!
Seganish is the best teacher ever! i absolutely love going to this class. He makes it interesting and has the craziest stories. He is the cutest old man, with the best facial expressions. Reviews for the tests the day before and they are straight forward. I would recommend him to anyone.
Interesting and amusing professor, but a little disorganized. Typical liberal defense attorney though, so if you like to see the bad guy get caught, you will probably get angry listening to some of his stories. easy, easy, easy class. He doesn?t follow the book and you don?t need it, but should go to class. I recommend him
Great professor... He makes everything easy. Does not take attendance, but you will not want to miss a class, because all test material is from what he teaches. Dont buy the Book, it is never used. The best Law professor at the school
Good professor. Do not buy the textbook!!! I bought it brand new, cracked the spine & now can't return it. Take notes, that's what he bases his exams off of. He likes to brag about his money & success, but he earned it, so just listen to him.
Very good professor. Isnt a hard course at all, he has a great sense of humor and doesnt believe in boring powerpoints. recommended.
Great teacher.Interesting lectures.Wants to increase your knowledge, rather than putting a grade on you.Three exams, easy to pass if you read all the articles from wikipedia and his lectures. No textbook necessary!Class was fun!TAKE HIM!
This man is nuts. He's very much from the old school where he will embarrass you if you piss him off. It's kind of refreshing. He makes lots of money and he loves to brag about it. He loves to put one leg up on the front desk while keeping the other on the floor, do not sit in the front row for this reason. 3 exams on his notes don't buy the book.
Great teacher! Loves his job, sense of humor. Always be polite though he's into 'civility'. 2 m.c. tests and a final. Curves tests and puts freebie questions on the test, "whos the bes legl 225 teacher?" Take him, easy A
Awesome teacher, knows what he is talking about and can answer all your questions. Uses alot of examples to explain legal properties, which works well. DONT BUY THE BOOK!!! never used it once. Take notes thats what all the exams are based on. Multiple Choice exams that are easy, curves them and puts freebies in them. Good sense of humor too
Really good teacher. He writes EVERYTHING on the boards. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! You can find everything on google or ask him. He's really helpful and will help you understand the material. RECOMMENDED. (3 tests and the final will be optional if your grades are satisfactory)
Don't buy the book, come to class and he will give you all the notes you need to do well on the test. The final is optional and if you can *trust him*, do it. Overall, great prof.
Seganish is one of the best teachers at Towson I was re-taking this class because I got a D before. Now I have an A!. Three tests and an optional final. He actually teaches the material and hes hilarious. Don't buy the book. I didn't open it once. He tells you everything you need to know. He really is just a great guy and I highly recommend him
He is an awesome professor who actually applies just about everything he is teaching to real life situations. Tests can be difficult if you don't study, so just pay attention, take notes and then study the notes.
It was a surprise to see that Mikey is still teaching college kids Business Law. I graduated from Towson back in 1982 when it was TSU. I had Mike for both Business Law I & BL II and a special mini-mester course that he taught called Introduction to Maryland Civil Litigation & Procedures. I ended up at UB Law & became an attorney thanks to Mike.
DO NOT BUY BOOK. He doesn't teach from text. Take very good notes and pay close attention to the examples he brings up. Test questions are multiple choice from his lectures. Grade consists of 3 tests only. Be prepared to answer questions in class. Avoid front row. Do not doodle in class. He made a girl cry cause he caught her drawing in notebook.
Good dude.
Hilarious. The class is easy and fun. I used the book alot and followed along in class. Take good notes and not just what he writes on the chalkboard, because it will confuse you.
He is a good instructor and explains things clearly. He does care about feedback in class, you'd better keep asking and answering. We have an additional exam because no one answer his questions . Take notes will be fine, no need for textbook, never use it.
Great guy but i found it very hard to follow his lectures. He does not use the text book so be very diligent with your notes or you'll have a tough time finding what you need to know in the textbook. I'd recommend going to class or you will fall behind quick. If I did it over I would have took another prof and gotten an A
He doesn't take attendance at all, but if you dont come you wont pass. he doesn't use the book at all, but if you want to actually learn and enjoy law class take him. he gives real life scenarios and really knows what hes talking about. He's old school so he's big into respect
By the end of the course I realized that Seganish choice of teaching allowed me to understand law better. I would highly recommend this class to any student interested in pursuing law. However, in order to pass you need to take good notes and come to every class. He has 3 tests and final (optional). Final is easy and brought my grade from a B+ to A
Attendance is not mandatory but it is important because lots of test questions come from his lectures. Doesn't prompt to read the book(but YOU NEED TO) there is no homework or other assignments. He's pretty funny and overall it's a super easy and interesting class. Definitely recommend taking him!
He has been in his field of study for a long time. HOWEVER, as a professor he's not for everyone. His exams are applying laws to different scenarios and the answers are usually not what you chose. There are three exams maybe a final if he chooses and no other assignments. Don't miss class unless you have a buddy to copy notes from.
You can get an A without purchasing the textbook, which is only 10 bucks. Seganish is totally old-school but its the best. Heres why: No homework, at all. No papers, at all. No quizzes, unless your class is not engaging him by answering his questions. Good curve on tests, he knows they're hard. Attendance is absolutely required for success though.
Only 3 exams. They were easy, given the fact that they were based on examples he went over in class. I didnt use the book, (just came to every lecture and took good notes). He only tests on what he lectures on and allows for a review session before each one. He's a pretty good professor and knows a lot about law. Only takes attendance on exam days.
This man is a living legend. He fell at the beginning of class, proceeded to teach the whole lecture, then went to the hospital. He is great at relating concepts to current events. He's funny, too. Don't buy the textbook - you'll never touch it. Don't skip class.
