Mike is a great teacher. I had him for 101, and took him for 102 (giving up a class that I really wanted to take just to have him). I like his portfolio process. It gives you a chance to revise your essays through the entire semester in order to the a better grade for the class. I wish he was teaching at the 4 year school I'm moving to.

Easily one of my favorite teachers after only a week. Totally interested and willing to stay after class and chat about anything to do with music and is very willing to get to know a student. He is truly an excelant person, can't ask for anyone better.

This teacher was hella easy. There were 3 or 4 papers throughout the course. He then let you revise them at the end of the semester for a better grade. Mike would also assist you if you were struggling. Easy A.

Best teacher by far

I hate Literature, but he's such an easy going and light hearted guy that he makes it tolerable to put up with all the other weird people at Maple. Definitely one of my favorite teachers.

I also took ENGL 102 and Mike is a great teacher. He is really helpful and nice. He is not very strict on page length for essays but make sure you have commas in the right places. I would recommend this teacher to anyone that has to take any English classes.

Mike is an excellent professor. He doesn't require any specific page lengths or formats (until it comes time for your final paper) and he will always do anything he can to help. The only thumbs down I would give to Mike is his headlines. His deadlines always seem to be up in the air, which can be a little irritating if you like a structured class.

Some aren't good (Ayanna Bridges). If you can find him by himself or with a good teacher, seize the opportunity!

The class was super fun! He's a cool teacher and he's funny. Does a lot of partner work but, the bright side was that there wasn't a final.

I have taken 7 classes total so far with Mike (Eng 1 and 2, Literature, and 4 of the 6 available creative writing classes) - he is hands down the best teacher at Maple Woods.

Mike is the BEST instructor for College 100! He eases any fear you might have and makes you feel comfortable at the school. He answers any questions you may have and if he can't, he'll lead you in a direction to get them. This guy is awesome!

Very easy! Mike is a great guy and willing to help you. I was constantly turning things in late and he helped me out. He does a portfolio system, so at the end you turn in all your papers in again and make changes. Highly recommended!!!

Mike is such a kind professor. His class was not challenging and I never had to worry about it. The papers that he asked me to write were not stressful. There is actually only one research paper and he gives more than enough time to complete it. I loved being in Mike's class.

Mr. warren will let you turn in papers throughout the whole semester until the portfolios are due. His lectures are kind of boring. He is always there to help you and is fast to answer emails.

Mr. Warren was my favorite English teacher I have ever had! He is the first one I feel has a crystal clear grading rubric. His class was nothing short of enjoyable and informative. He is a very nice teacher and is willing to help with anything and will help effectively. You're making a good choice if you take his class!

Mike Warren is the most helpful english teacher I have taken. The class is graded on portfolios so you have plenty of time to correct your drafts before you turn them in for a grade. He gives lots of good feedback with side notes and even tells you where your punctuation errors are. I would love to take him again because he is such a nice guy.

In college 100 he gives you so much legitimate advice and hes definitely a person to go to with questions. In English he was not boring AT ALL and truly cares about his students. His classes were really good.

Warren is an awesome teacher. This class was really easy. I had an early class with him and he didn't take off for attendance. A lot of students would show up the day the essay was due and that's it. You basically write an essay, turn it in, and then write another and so on. He does let you revise it and turn it back in as many times as you want.

By far a great professor. Your main grades are from four essays worth 100 points. They really are not hard at all. You work on them a lot in class and he helps you a lot too. He is lenient and very understanding.

Took the class that was connected to COMM100. Completely reccomend if you can because all the papers crossed over to the speeches so it was an easy A. Mike is great because he lets you redo your papers for regrading, even after you turn them in for better grades and lets you write papers on pretty much anything you want. Great, friendly teacher.

Brings out the best in the entire group. You set your own assignment schedule based on a loose set of guidelines he has to keep things focused and on track.

Mr. Warren was great! I took his course in the summer over zoom. He has a tendency to ramble, but we only needed to meet once a week. I loved the way he graded; I always got a 10/10 and he sent feedback on essays we did. Mr. Warren has a great personality & loves to help. I would definitely take a class from him again, but w/o zooms.

I was in a combo speech and english class with him virtually, and no complaints! Very clear rubric and instructions on all assignments. He checks in with you too during assignments and helps you along. Gives good feedback for revisions. Easy A if you try! Lots of room for creativity, you get to choose your topics and explore diff. writing styles.

Professor Warren is super respectful & understanding. Someone you can open to since he is understanding. The essay's are fairly easy & he tells us what we need to work on our work, suggest/add things. He knows the busy life of students & he sometimes extend due dates. I took this professor for both 101 and 102 and loved it. He's super easy and really cares about how you're doing in the class. He teaches in a way that it's easy to improve and understand.

Professor Warren was the single best teacher I actually had at Maple Woods, and honestly one of my favorite teachers ever. He has personal one on one meetings, he helps you pick a topics, he helps with everything. Seriously, I can't emphasis how great of a teacher he is. After taking his class, you'll understand why he has so many positive reviews.

Mr. Warren is so great!!! He's super kind and his class was honestly sooo easy. The only thing I have an issue with is how much class time he wastes. A lot of his class time is used by him telling stories. While it was definitely entertaining, it wasn't a good use of class time imo. You only do 4 essay in the semester, with some other assignments.

This is the teacher you need to get. The class is writing intensive but that's a given. He gives really great feedback on all the papers and shows you that he actually reads your material. All the final entails is a collection of all your past papers that have already received the feedback needed to make them A papers. Top 5 professor of all time!
