Class is mandatory but he makes it interesting. I hate English but some how he got me to read Shakespeare and actually go to class. I highly recommend him because even those Englsih sucks he makes it not suck.

He's a cool teacher, assigns alot of writing but its a good class. Out of the box a bit. He's hot too, but married.
great teacher
He was a joy to have as a teacher! He really listens to what you have to say. You do have to write papers and write journals but thats about it. This class isn't extremely hard if you keep your attendance up. He also has an open mind and delivers his messages very well. I REALLY liked his class! :]
Mr Will is the WORST professor I've ever had! I would not reccommend him to any1, all you do the whole semester is group work. We read Shakespeare's Othello then he decided to cancel the test after we all read it.. We had NO grades until mid semester just talked about his view of the society.. he is very unclear & unhelpful.
Great teacher! I have never learned so much about how to write. He doesn't focus as much on grammar or paragraphs but on how strong your argument is. He always helped me whenever I had any questions. I would highly recommend him, especially if you want to think.
Mike will was an exceptional teacher. He helped me in various ways, the way he tauught made me want to work harder to do well beacuase of how intersting he made things. I never was bored and always looked forward to comming to class. I am taking him for the next level of english and would recomend him to anyone!!!!! :]:):D
I loved his contemporary lit class. sooooo interesting.....really made me think. He gives a ton of extra credit, but you do have to read the material.
Mike is the best! I would find myself writing down things he would say and then going back to my house and discussing it with my roommates . Lots of group discussions. I took him for English 1 in Milton and it was one of my favorite classes and I do not normally like English. I also took him for Lit. but had to drop it for other reasons. TAKE HIM!!
Mike is the WORST teacher I have ever had. I dreaded this class. He is not clear. He does not have any structure to his lessons. He grades harshly. If you enjoy writing or learning, steer clear of him!
BEST CLASS EVER!
I really liked this class. Mike is funny and makes class very enjoyable!
Great guy down to earth learned alot
this teacher is very stupid he makes you read boring stories that does not make any since.. he only passes students he like. do not take his class unless you want to read dunb articles on thing that do not relate to life
Love him!
The best teacher I have ever had!!! If you cant pass his class than you dont need to be in college to begin with!!!!! Funny easy class for a great grade.
I LOVED him!! He is soooo funny, he made class worth going to. He told awesome stories! I didnt think it was hard at all. I took it for 6 weeks during the summer and i never felt over loaded. I even tried to get him for 1102
I liked him at first then his true colors came out. He gives us dumb topics. He doesnt grade the best. When you ask him what you did wrong he doesnt give you a straight answer. Noone in my class really like him and his teaching ways. I really do not recommend him. Honestly
A very different type of teacher and sometimes very hard to take seriously . Grading is harsh he bases it on his opinion not academically .Kept asking how can I do better but he never told me what to do .
Very different.Liberal as can be and grades baed on personal preferences. He will make you write paper after paper and no matter the hard effort you may put in, if you reveil personal info he will like, ull get a great grade.Plus he's a teen himself.Unprofessional.
Great teacher...makes you ask why about everything you're writing.
I took contemporary literature with Mr. Will and it was the worst class experience I have had. If you want to be in a classroom with no structure then you should take this class. I can honestly say I learned nothing in this class except that maybe Mr. Will is a yuppie and that he is contradictory to his own "teachings." No learning was done.
Yes, Will is liberal, has a very arbitrary grading system, and may not be "professional," but he's honest about these things. Grades are arbitrary anyways and there's no such thing as "professional" at PJC. Get over it. Will will give you an A or B if you attend class, do all of the work, and at least act like you learned something.
I've had Mike for a few classes and each semester is a little different. He is always interesting and fun, but sometimes he is a little unorganized. I kept taking his classes though because he really makes writing fun and he really cares...especially if you show that you care about learning. He does not care about grades though.
Very fun teacher! I love going to his class, he makes a 3 hour class fly by! I hope I can take him again. I highly recommend him for anyone who gets bored easily.
Great teacher, keeps you interested. All of his papers are very "hands on" and teach you a lot about yourself, as well as the world around you. You honestly don't need to purchase a book because he doesn't give you but 1 quiz on the reading. All in all, I loved his class. Beware of the group assignment at the end, it's a monster!
I have had Mike for 3 classes and he has made English and Literature very interesting. He is an Awesome teacher. He has taught me to broaden my horizons and try to understand that people percieve things differently according to life's experiences and learn to agree to disagree. He's the S**t!!!
Mike is a Great Teacher. He is a little different but if you are open minded, you will understand his concepts. If you pay attn and do what he ask, easy A. He wants u to remember what he taught u not your grade. If u r open-minded, he's great for you. If u want a teacher to give u test, u pass and move on, pick someone else. He's awesome:-)
Mike is a great teacher,I've taken 2 of is classes and he really involves student participation. He makes you think out of the box. He's a very intelligent guy and super entertaining. I recommend going to his classes to keep track of the assignments. As long as you do the papers, you'll pass. Don't worry about your grade, it's about what you learn.
He's a really cool guy. There's a paper due every week but he spends a lot of time introducing the topic and he explains everything thoroughly. You learn a lot of life lessons and you learn a lot about yourself.
Good class, good teacher
Mike is awesome. An all around great guy who really involves his studetnts. All his assignments are fun. We do write a lottt of papers but they're still okay. And he gives out a lot of b's but no a's. Still love him.
Could be a little bit more clear on onjectives, but he is a great teacher, and always has a great story to tell. Class participation is a must though.
I was gifted with Mike's awesome class my 1st semester of college. He is awesomeee and I will always remember him. He's hilarious, cute, really gets you involved in class. He makes you do a lot of group work so you meet people. Even though he is super cool, you have to write a lot of papers, but thats it. No bookwork, just papers. Favorite teacher!
His philosophy is funny as hell, and you'll want to pay close attention to it. you might need it at the end of your semester. "Best damn Final I have ever taken... but I probably failed it." Take Mike for contemp lit. This class is a complete mindfk, and it will make you wish you could have more. Oh, and phallic symbols are a big part of this class
took him for American Lit, but he pretty much disregarded that and taught contemporary lit because that's what he likes. so that was a let down. had to make journal entries about each story, very tedious. he didn't explain stories thoroughly, mainly joked a lot. learned more about lit in my comp II class. take him if you want an easy A, I guess.
Nice guy but plays around too much. He uses the textbook off and on. He takes for ever to grade our papers. Allow about month before you see your paper graded. He likes to talk about thing that have nothing to do with English!
He is the best! So funny, sarcastic and more. Come to class prepared to learn and he'll treat you accordingly. Your grade will directly reflect your effort in group discussions and typed papers. If you're uptight and grouchy, beware!
Very sarcastic and funny. Makes it easy to pay attention to the topic and participate in class discussions.
Nice guy and pretty easy class but he does not communicate with you at all! I never got a single grade back till midterm even though we took a quiz ever single week. The reading material was TERRIBLE and profane! I wouldn't recommend the class.
He's awesome. So hilarious & has a really interesting way in preparing you for a project. I don't like how we get into group so often but I can live with it.
Mike is honestly not that great. He does not take his job seriously, which offends me. I am currently taking his class now, and his class is the class that makes me want to skip the whole school day. You will never get your graded papers back, and he jokes about losing your papers. (I don't think it's funny, honestly). Don't waste your time.
Mr. Will is a great English professor. He really likes discussion and involvement within the class. He does grade a little harder than some on the papers, but if you go to the writing lab you will get an A. He is very funny and makes a boring class interesting. I recommend him for any English or Literature course.
Mike Will is a cool guy, but not the best teacher. He was easy but I didn't like the way he split up the class into groups to talk out the story. I prefer a discussion with the class and teacher. He hates grading and doesn't gives things back in a timely fashion. However, this class was fun and helped me loosen up a bit. I can't say I regret it.
He's not a particularly good teacher; he tend to be disorganized, and he is very slow to return papers. The class is easy, but you don't always know what to expect.
Never takes anything seriously, he doesn't clearly explain things, he just expects us to know what we're doing. Very unprofessional, and very unorganized.
This was by far my favorite professor I have ever had. He is hilarious and makes class so interesting. I learned a lot from his class not only relating to the material given, but about myself and life in general. He did have us write a lot and read short stories every week. It also does not hurt that he is cute.
If you like a professor who's super talkative & sarcastic you'll love him. There was a lot of group work however when doing peer review for essays. I couldn't really tell how he graded though, and it took 01848492 days to get papers back. But overall definitely an easy class, I got an A. Lots of essays, little to no reading.
Great professor!! Very funny and sarcastic. Very little to no work done is class, however, there will be about 4 or 5 essays to turn in throughout the semester, but that's it. You must come to class (not always, but enough to know when assignments are due) He can be a hard grader, but is also lenient at times. Easy A.
Very funny, get ready to read & be prepared for hilarious anecdotes.
He cares more about you as a writer then how good of a writer you are. That doesn't mean he won't grade your paper fairly. Don't have to show up to every class but do turn in everything assigned.
Does not totally suck
freaking best professor on campus dude. he is the illest. easiest class youll ever take. hes super sarcastic and tells funny stories.
I loved this class. Mike Will is a great teacher, he's very involved with the workshop processing and always comes to class prepared. He's super funny and always provides inspiration for stories. Doesn't like zombies or vampires and is all about emotion in stories. That cheshire grin is super hot though. I would definitely take this class again.
Does not totally suck eggs
Mike is a pretty cool teacher, and you (probably) won't regret taking him for Creative Writing. The class could definitely use a little more structure, but I feel a lot of the students in the class felt comfortable writing/sharing work in the relaxed setting. Mike will tell you early on how much he hates zombies, vampires, etc. Write those things!
He definitely makes you think. Not a G rated teacher. Teaches you about life while teaching you how to actually write. Use his office hours, HE WILL HELP IF YOU ASK. Will give you feedback. Peer reviews before each paper is due. Only had 4 papers. Class work is light. No homework. Don't buy the book, it's not mandatory. Don't miss too much class.
Will was a great professor! He's quite funny, and the required reading assignments were not boring at all. Although, if you are very conservative or religious, you might want to consider a different class because the subject matter is a mature audience.
Great teacher and a great friend to his students.
Great sense of humor; intresting story selections, modern
Super chill with great stories. Took Creative Writing - Fiction with him and he made it my favorite class. Really passionate about short story writing and always made class fun.
You will love Mr. Will, if you do your work you will pass. His class is not G-Rated but that makes it great. You feel like you have freedom in his class to express yourself and he allows you to do that with his papers. He is a great teacher, you wont regret taking him. I wish I had him for all my English classes.
Give effort in your assignments and you will pass. I took this course online and even still Professor Will was a great teacher.
Will is a pretty cool teacher. There's a quiz every single day, so don't skip. If you actually listen and pay attention he will teach you some pretty good things
Professor Will is great! We had a paper due about every two weeks, but he went over the assigned topics in detail and was very clear about what he wanted, and also gave us all the topics at the beginning of the semester. Only graded based on papers & an online grammar lab. Very funny and easygoing, and let us rewrite papers for a better grade.
Fantastic professor.
This course pushes boundaries and makes you consider your own position on different topics. The work itself required critical thinking, a lot of reading and the opportunity to apply content to real life situations. Maybe it's because I enjoy reading and writing, but this is a great class. I love the challenges and felt like I grew so much.
I love Mike Will. If you take him for contemporary literature you get to watch two great movies, and there are only two papers due for the whole semester! Make sure you read the stories though because you will not pass the class if you don't. Mike does not reward laziness, and he will not give you a good grade if you don't participate.
Mike Will is a real gem. I was unsure of the quality of English classes I would be able to take at PSC, but now my only regret is that I can't take more. Mike is hilarious, engaging, and very personable. If you are passionate about writing, he will match the effort you put in to improving yourself. I am so happy to have had him as a mentor.
We had a lot of quizzes and discussion posts. Overall, it was not too bad.
I had to withdrawl from his class or else I would have had an F as a grade. I love english and have never failed an english class. He is rude and very unprofessional. He says one thing and does another. It also takes forever for him to grade. I had a 17 the whole grading period until the day before final withdrawl before it suddelt turned to a 54.
did not care about what was going on at all. lots of life stories and rabbit holes. gave little to no feedback. dismissed us after not even a third of class time. required the book, didnt use once. good if you have no intent of writing ever again in your life.
HES AMAZING BYE
Mr. Will was an amazing American Lit teacher! He was very into the readings and related it to the real world. Really funny and a great guy
Mr. Will is probably the best professor I've had at PSC. His instructions are clear and he makes his class fun. I would take him again if I got the chance.
Took his online class, and it went like this: each week read 2/3 stories, and take a quiz on each, write a discussions post about it, and reply to two students. Also there will be a poem to read and a discussions post for the poem. Three essays too. He was helpful and understanding. I rated him a 4 because the quizzes are a large part of your grade
Mr. Will didnt have any real interest in the subject. He didnt really bring any enthusiasm to class, which was filled with personal anecdotes to begin with. Mr. Will was also not available outside of class. Comes across as very self-important.
Very chill and personable. Just do your readings!! Quizzes are big part of grade. Also participate in class discussions and you will do fine! Would SO take his class again. One of my fav professors at PSC.
We had to do five essays and the teacher grades very strictly and expects us to know a lot of material for the papers, but he rarely taught it. More unnecessary group work was done than lectures. Also allows some classmates to be noisy and disrupt others.
He was an amazing professor, super fun and always had good feedback for all work. Does a lot of group works, he makes class super enjoyable.
100/10 would take him again he was one of my favorite teachers this last semester super nice and funny pushes you to do better
Very petty, which is crazy for a grown man. Harsh grader and did not make assignment expectations clear. Take this class if you want no social life for the semester.
He is a harsh grader but would barely explain the assignment , had to contact department head to even get into contact with him
I took Mike for Comp 1 and he's a super chill dude. We used to talk with him about the most random stuff as he's very open minded to just about everything. He does give participation grades in class some days so I do recommend going as often as possible. 10/10 would take again and am a bit salty that he doesn't teach Comp 2 lol.
He graded essays really slow, but if you were late turning one in a zero would immediately be put in and you had to say something for it to be changed. The feedback on essays wasn't the best. It was hard to make an A on a paper in his class, but I think on the final he is more lenient. Not a bad teacher but isn't very detailed with instructions.
In class he was a good teacher and had us work in groups a lot which I liked. He also offered extra credit opportunities. What I didn't like though was that he didn't clearly explain his expectations and then graded the papers very hard. He also did not return many of our papers, he just gave us the grade without us knowing what to improve on.
I have learned so much about journalism in this class. With hands on learning you will be pushed into the world of publication by (hopefully) joining the corsair newspaper and writing an article every month. Mr. Will gives great feedback on the articles and explaining how to set up each article. Would definitely take him again.
Mike Will was an awesome teacher. I had him in two classes and was very happy in both. If you attend classes, put forward effort, and have a good attitude, you are good to go.
Attendance is important, make sure you show up on time as well. Professor Will assigns some essays and will make you do peer reviews with your classmates. The essay topics or assignments in general are not difficult, but effort is expected. Although, he doesn't leave any feedback on essays and sometimes takes a while to put in grades for essays.
Absolutely great professor. Made class interesting and was always brutally honest about our work, but in the end, it definitely helped you improve as a writer. Genuinely cared about what he was teaching, and I loved listening to him talk about writing/random stuff since he had an interesting perspective on a lot and made everything fun and engaging
This professor is petty. He does not explain the requirements for the essays. Needed to drop his class because it gave me anxiety and stress. I will not take any of his classes anymore. I should have listened to other students not to take his class.
IF YOU GET THIS TEACHER RUN! Everyone I've talked to dislikes this guy
