The most interesting class from my first semester. Professor Milagros Munoz Salas cares and is passionate about what she is teaching. Read all of the slides before the class. I think her lectures are interesting mostly. Attendance is a grade.

I loved this class. If you show up to class you'll see how much she cares about students, and all her quizzes have great study guides! She knows what she's talking about, and I found many of her lectures interesting. Some units are not as fun as others, but that's just the curriculum, and I think she still finds great ways to teach them.

Very fun and informative class. As long as you pay attention and review the material the class is not very difficult.

Not only is the instructor very helpful, but you can tell that she loves what she teaches so it makes the class interesting. The way to sum it up is that it was a fun class with a great instructor and you will end up learning more about rocks than you ever though that you would.

I feel that this class is a very good one to take, if you are interested in earth science. The labs are a good way to get in to the class and help you learn as well. You just have to make sure you show up to class and take the notes. Also study for the tests as well. If you do all of that you will succeed in the class.

Great professor, really enthusiastic about the topics. Most questions came from the worksheets that you are required to print out and bring to class. Just doing that, paying attention, and taking notes gave me an A in the class.

Her quizzes are tough because she ask very specific questions, but if you read the ppt and do the lab worksheet, you will be fine.

Mila was great for GLY1010 Lab. She was very nice and willing to help answer questions if you are struggling. You mostly study maps and rocks in lab and the lab worksheets were fairly easy. I would recommend taking her class!

Mila is such a great professor! She explains things in a way that actually makes sense, and you can tell she really loves what she teaches. Her energy makes the class enjoyable, and she always makes time to help if you need it.

Mila is amazing! She brings such great energy and a positive attitude. She always connects the topics to the real world with examples, videos, and questions that make you think. Each day we covered a different topic with in-class quizzes, activities, lab reports, one midterm, and a final project.

You'll learn everything in a super clear and easy-to-understand way. She uses vides to break down complex concepts which makes a big difference. The lectures are engaging and the assignments and exams are very fair. I definitely recommend taking her class!

The most successful aspect of this course is the ability to became more informed about the environment. With Mila's teaching style I started realizing how I could make an impact to my environment. Most of assignments were clearly concise & easy to understand. The labs were engaging & fun.

Mila's teaching is dynamic and engaging. Participation is mandatory, and she constantly asks questions, so preparation is key. Quizzes allow notes but are challenging, often using real-world case studies to apply environmental concepts.

She is young, full of energy, and always cheerful. Very patient :) she'll explain something a thousand times if it's not clear. Formats and instructions are well organized on Canvas. Honestly, every professor has their own style, but she is the best in EVR1001L.
