he is not a bad teacher. He is very intimidating but he does a great job teaching. Do all the homework because it really helps your grade. Don't make dumb mistakes because he takes point off on the test. He grades the tests meticulously so be careful.

This guy is a nit pick. He'll mark you wrong for the slightest wrongs on a test whereas most professors would overlook them. He acts as though the details on your test is analagous to building an aircraft; if an insignicant bolt,rivet,nut, or screw is missing, it'll cause the plane to crash.

There is no way you can fail this class! He gives you a 10 question review, and guess what? the test has 10 questions(it's pretty much the review with different numbers). Also the tests are open book open notes... only a dummy would fail this class.

Extremely picky instructor. He knows his Math extremely well. Do the homework, he collects it daily first thing in class. Show up every day and get there on time or he won't accept your homework. i hate math and i never understood it before until i had this teacher. hes picky about his methods but it REALLY helps you understand how to use the material. he is the first math teacher i had that i didnt feel like he was trying to trick us on the tests. he has a review before each test and you can use those notes to guide you along the tests.

SUPER STRICT, but really clear. open exams n quizes. but as long as you come to class on time, do the hws, take good notes, you'll get straight A. exams and quizzes are all from notes. so, take NOTES. im really bad with maths, but surprisingly, got an A in his class. just do what he tells you to do, and u'll be fine!

I orginally was not thrilled about Georgevich but now I have taken other math professors I must say, I miss Georgevich. Although he does come off as a bit harsh, he just has a dry sense of humor. Being a strict math professor is actually a good thing, I did my hw and never missed class. So I do recommend him, just dont be overly sensitive

He explained material well but would only answer five questions or you'd have to ask after class. If he says you will fail for being late or absent, believe him. His way of dealing with the students was a bit unprofessional. Other than that he's worth taking overall since you can understand the material and is better than some other teachers

Considering how much we need to learn in 170 in the short time, he does an excellent job. He has to be strict to keep people paying attn (off cell phones, talking, etc) so others can follow along w/out distraction. He is very helpful and clear. He knows his stuff, and is an excellent teacher. I took him for 130 also, and will take him for 180 and any other higher class that I can. He does everything possible for the student to learn. Everything else is up to the student. Very approachable in office hours. Take notes, do homework, and study. A passing+ grade is possible if you work hard.

The way he grades makes it impossible to get an A.I'm a PreMed student and he totally destroyed my GPA by giving me a B. I wouldve aced all his 4 test including his final but his grading makes it hard. You HAVE to do everything his way. If a prob is worth 10 pts and u get rit answer but u do it a diff way, u get deducted 6or7 receiving a 3/4. AVOID

Mr. Georgevich is one of my favorite professors at El Camino even though the class requires a lot of work and focus. I have never left a math class understanding so much new material. He takes the time to learn names and cracks jokes sometimes. He requires you to do the problems exactly his way and docks point if not, but I highly recommend him.

If your not a doosh bag and go to class to learn you'll like this guy. He's strict, but if you play by his rules for the hour or two of class time you can end up walking out of there with a good great and great knowledge. One of my all time favorite teacher personalities.

Make sure you do your home work and the practice test. Practice test are fairly similar to actual test. If you are good following instructions you should be ok with his grading methods. Try not to miss any lectures because you might miss out on how he wants the problems solved. Overall,he is an excellent professor.

You may know how to do the problems, but if you don't put silly tick marks of mark X-axis and Y-axis as an example, you will get points off! Rude. Go to S.I.

I just took Professor G. and the class is NOT difficult, but he's specific on how to answer questions. He wants what you write to mean something, as it should in math. Don't let this dissuade you though. He's a fantastic teacher, really helpful during office hours, and even gives you a practice quiz and its answers for practice. Would take again.

He's a great professor. True he is a tough grader, but tests are open notes so he should be grading that way. He is pretty funny and does not accept late work. He explains things clearly but he can sometimes rush through his lectures. He gives practice tests and answers before the tests. I learned a lot in his class and I do recommend taking him.

Here is the thing, the class isn't tough. However, they way he grades exams is. You can get every question correct on an exam but still be down 15-20 points of 100. This happens because he docks points for particularities like incorrect structure or not labeling correctly. Basically typos! Good teacher, bad grader.

If you want to learn and be successful as a math student you need to enroll in Mr. G's class. There is no doubt that he is strict, but this will help you a lot in the next math class. His class was my first math class after 10 years of not studying math. In order to be successful in his class you need to do homework and understand class notes.

But if you take the class everyday, write everything he writes on the board, and do as he says, getting a B is not hard, and you need to give it all if you want an A.
