It's very hard to understand her. Find another professor that you can understand when they speak.
People complain about her accent, but that's not what bothers me. It's more her style of teaching that makes her hard to understand. She lets you work the problems yourself first, so you usually get it *wrong* first, and that just reinforces bad habits in math. Explanations or examples first, please! She *does* divide the tests up over two days...
Very hard to understand, Lots of homework and VERY HARD TESTS! I would not recomend this teacher. Very different style of teaching.
She was horrible. Her accent didnt bother me as much as her teaching style.I basically had to teach myself how to do things and she didnt make things clear. Her test were very hard.My class started with 32 people and ended with about 15 because so many people were failing and would not pass..out of the 15 left I know most did not pass.DO NOT GET HER
Her accent wasn't too bad. After a week or 2 I got used to it. I would ask her for help she would tell me to go to the tudoring center. She would miss class the day before a test & have a sub review us. That didn't help at all. I basically taught myself calculus. She gave extra credit but thats because everyone was doing poorly in her class.
she is not clear when speaking and a horrible teaching style. writes nothing on the board to help you out and she barely understands your questions
Horrible she can not teach. Number one her accent is horrible she can not pronouce any word correctly and number two she doesnt help anyone with anything. If you want to be help seriously she tells you to ask a classmate. The whole class doesnt understand the topis you have no chance in passing any test in her class with an A
If ur a math wizard then u can pass her class. her accent is pretty bad but it take time to get use too.. she gives take home quizzes daily.. testes are not as hard n she teaches over the powerpoint...
accent=difficult. I liked how she printed off the powerpoint on paper for us and we took notes that way. She puts practice pretest in her notes as well that go almost right along with the test. she basically gave us the questions on the final by telling us exactly what problems from our previous test were going to be on there. homework=a lot!
Milani was a great professor I made A's on her tests and i've always sucked at math! She did alot to help us in class and i'll definitely be taking her again
Hard to understand. Would not take this class.
not recommended. her tests are very hard to make an A on. she does not explain anything clearly, she NEVER writes on the board. everything is all powerpoint. good thing is there is barely any homework, and she gives a pre-test for extra credit, but it is only 5 points. i usually study about 5-6 hours the day before her exams.
Mrs. Milani was great! She does help you keep a good grade... If you are lazy dont take her she does not go to the next step until everyone in class understands. Her accent is weird but I got used to it.
Her accent is NOT a problem at all. She's the type of teacher that loves teaching and its easy to tell that. It is very easy to pass her class as long as you try. She will explain everything clearly and will be glad to help. I HIGHLY recommend Mrs. Milani. Other teachers that I have had were horrible. But she's amazing!
shes a nice person but a horrible teacher! you cant teach math over slide shows, and when you have a question she just says the problem then the answer and expects us to understand... no! she is good with the test reviews cause she goes over them in class before the test but besides that i would not suggest taking her at all!!!
She is a great teacher if you put in the effort. She cares about her students and wants to help. She tells you what will be on test and if you go in before test and ask questions it will help tremendously. Do the work and you will make a good grade.
I left the third day. I'm not usually one to drop a teacher because of their accent, but hers is just incomprehensible. It's like the result of knowing 5 languages or something. If you are naturally bad at math, DO NOT TAKE HER.
SHE IS AMAZING. She was such a great teacher, shes funny and her class is VERY easy. I would recommend her.
People think she is hard to understand but its not that bad at all. The tests are just like the review, if you pay attention, its super easy!!
The class was very easy! The homework is from the book but the problems are easy. Ms. Milani is a very smart teacher and she is funny too. She makes sure to keep everyone focused by making jokes every now and then. I highly recommend her.
She is very easy and nice.
The tests are just like the review, its super easy!!
She is amazing! I think everyone should take her class. The best part is, you get extra credit if you go to class. No joke, you show up and get extra points. Its awesome!
this class was very easy. shes so nice and loves to help out. its easy to tell that she loves her job. i would def recommend her to anyone!
She is GREAT! she loves helping out and she loves her job you can tell! Her notes are very simple just pay attention to her and you will do great on test! she has pretest for each test and the concept are on the test! also she give take home quizzes which is like a problem and is super easy! and if you do the pretest you get 4 points on to your tes
Milani is awesome, and she really cares about her students understanding the coursework. She's friendly and jokes around with her students in class (it's just a different kind of humor than most). She really loves what she teaches, and you can tell as she explains things.
DONT BE AFRAID OF HER ACCENT! she is the best math prof I have ever had. She is very helpful and loves her job. Test are just like the review
I just finished this class with her and it was so easy! She has power points that show everything step by step. I actually learned something in her class! She's really nice and very helpful. Def take her!
1314 good teacher 1325 horrible teacher she does not know the first thing about teaching math if it is done without ever working a problem out she just flips through her poorly designed slideshow, would like to point out she also loves to ignore my questions when i email her... thanks for the help milani
She is a useless professor that doesn't know the first thing about teaching a sophmore or higher math class she might be better suited at the highschool I would not recommend her to anyone...
Shes really nice! But the class was kinda boring. She makes you buy her notes, so if you fill in the blanks and follow along youll be good. Also, there are pretest for each test she gives (even the final)and they are basically the same..so do those! Also she has some weird accent, which gets in the way sometimes. Just ask her to repeat and she will.
Great teacher! Gave us plenty of opportunities for extra credit and always asked if we had any questions to make sure everyone understood. Take her!
I made an A. Great teacher, her reviews match the test, and she will help you out if you go to her office hours. If she knows you're trying, and you are respectful, she plays on your side and helps you out. People say her accent is horrible, its not that bad...get over it. She's an awesome teacher, and I would take her again if I had to.
Best MATH teacher EVER!!! But take advantage of the tutor lab really helpful!:)
She goes very fast. If you did well in alg 1&2, you will have no problem. She offers take home quizzes. She has you factor everything. Give ample time for homework, however there is alot of it.
She is very nice, you don't have to buy a textbook! she makes you buy her copy shop book. it was only 20$ and her notes follow right along with it! She drops a lot of grades and held out the students!
She is an excellent teacher. Very formulaic, and goes by the book although it is not necessary to buy the book. She has reviews for each of the tests that are perfectly compatible. Very easy to swing an A in here if you do your work, has a thick accent but is easy to comprehend for the most part. Highly recommend her!!
She is very hard to understand and never responded to ANY of my emails. Does not curve on tests. And all of her problems are on power point. She rarely ever works things out and never really offered to help when I had emailed her multiple times. I would not advise taking her ever. Waste of money.
She uses the power point heavily in class and some time sgoes to fast. She will spend time with you during office hour and that really helps if you are struggling.Lots of homework. Has pretests that are basically the same as the actual test. You can get extra credit for doing the pretest at home that goes toward the actual test!!Great Insturctor
If you haven't had a good math class in a while do not take her. Looking at powerpoints and just doing problems with no real explanation on how the problem is solved does not help. She says things are easy a lot. I think she forgets that we the students have not been doing the level of math that she has been doing for quite some time.
I HATE MATH but she breaks everything down and explains it. I think I have a B in the class right now which I am not happy with but I am really terrible at math so that was my doing. She does have an accent but don't let this make up your mind it doesn't take long and you can understand. Very Nice.
Very good teacher, the is pretest for every test and Extra credit if you do pretest. Very knowledgable, does have a heavy accent but you can understand her. She is very helpful with out off class questions, alwasy emails me back. Simplifies test too! moderate homework.. Overall A+ best math teacher in a while.
Cant understand a word she says and she starts class before the class is technically supposed to start. so you better be in class 15 minutes before scheduled start time or you will miss out and she won't let you know what you missed. Awful teacher. very disrespectful .
Great teacher! Breaks down every single step on the powerpoint during class. She is really nice and jokes around with the class. She takes big measures and helps her students out because she wants you to learn and make well in her class. Getting used to her accent takes about 2 weeks, but everything is understandable. I would take her again!
Her accent isn't necessarily "hard to understand", but her actual voice was what got to me. Very high pitched, repeats certain phrases a lot. Her powerpoints have every color imaginable on them, which was distracting to me. If you are good at math and can learn on your own, go for it. If not, I'd register for another professor.
She can be very sweet and funny! I liked the way she broke things down, and she gives you a pretest before each test and goes over it completely, which helps a ton. She can come off as rude sometimes when you ask questions, but she will do everything she can to help you pass the class as long as you put in effort. Do the quizes and homework!!
Her accent makes it almost unbearable to even pay attention. She also teaches MATH with a POWERPOINT, so she doesn't write out the problems. I ended up having to drop this class so it wouldn't hurt my GPA. I re-took the class with a different prof and understood it completely and passed with an A. DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!
I was really disappointed with this Teacher. She seems like a very nice lady, but I just don't like her as my math teacher. Her accent indeed was a distraction, and it was frustrating while trying to learn something as complex as math. Way too much homework. Wouldn't take her again if I didn't have to.
I made an A without taking calculus in highschool. If you do the work and show you are interested you have nothing to worry about. Just actually put in the time to learn the material, she is a great teacher who really cares about her students. I would recommend this professor.
She was a GREAT professor. She went out of her way to make sure that we all did well in her class. She has a review day in class and review before the test so you are guaranteed an A if you put the effort in.
SHE IS AWESOME! I highly recommend her. Do no listen to the negative comments. Ms. Milani LOVES for her students to get A's so she does everything in her power to make sure that happens. She has study sessions before every single test with questions VERY similar to the exam. I wish she taught 1324 also b/c I would definitely be in her class again
Worst. Class. Ever. Can't understand her, horrible at explaining, just pushes enter on her powerpoint. if i hadn't taken this before i wouldn't have a clue.
Do not take this professor. She teaches everything on PowerPoint. You can barely understand anything she says because of her accent. She is not approachable. I do not recommend her. No
Her accent is very annoying as well as her voice in general. As far as tests, she has a review period right before tests that are virtually the same as the test. Homework is average and work load is very manageable. As long as you can deal with the fact that she knows very little english you will be alright in her class.
hard to understand and doesn't show you your grade in the class. like, her class doesn't even show up in ECampus. apparently showing grades is against her policy? I don't understand. she is a TOUGH grader. I don't think I've gotten full credit on anything
If you struggle with math then I would not recommend her. Her accent is hard to understand, and she doesn't explain the problems when showing them on power point. I had to switch math professors and I'm good at math
Yes she is hard to understand at first, however I had her for two semesters and she got better with time. she will do anything to help you, as long as you put in the effort to make a good grade she will try and give it to you.
I advise you to not take this class. Her accent is thick and hard to understand. She is sort of unorganized with time and she isn't very helpful. This is my first semester taking her. I made A's in high school Math and now I'm struggling to pass.
Mrs. Milani was a great professor overall, her accent is difficult to understand but after the second class you will start to better understand. Do all the Homework and quizzes including the online homework and you will do fine. Before every test she gives you a pretest and its EXACTLY LIKE THE TEST except different numbers. Take her!
She was super helpful and gave plenty of bonus' and curves. she also reopened all all online homework.
She is rough around the edges at first but once she sees that you are trying and care about your grade she does everything she can to help you pass! Attendance is mandatory, make sure to be on time! She uses powerpoint to teach. I did not like it but I learned to like it and have been successful in her courses!
I would not recommend this professor to anyone. She has a thick accent that can be difficult to understand. I didn't click with her teaching method. She lectured while showing a slideshow. Although she does offer bonuses and curves her tests it was not easy to learn the material.
She has a heavy accent which makes learning this class 10 times harder. She will make the whole class line up and check every homework problem. If you get the work wrong she will announce to the whole class that you messed up. She does do test reviews the day before the test but the material is way to hard to learn before the test.
I ended up dropping her class. All her notes or through powepoints.. math on powerponts is not fun.. she gives homework every day and puts you in groups and has you solve problems up on the white board . I tried talking to her through emails and looking for her during her office hours before dropping but, she never replied and I never found her
If you speak a foreign language, go for it. She is very, very difficult to understand because her English is not that great and neither are her explaining skills. She grades extremely tough and provides little help. I recommend signing up with a different teacher if you want to pass.
worst professor I have ever had
I've had some bad professors in the past, but Milani takes the cake. She has a thick accent. I felt like fifty percent of my time was spent trying to figure out what she was saying and the other half was devoted to math. Please do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT take this class. I repeat DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.
Her accent isn't that bad at all. I was hesitant to take her but I'm glad I did and would do it again. Material is tough, and it's a class that you cannot miss. Offers bonus points on every test. At the end of the semester she does a lot of things for her students to increase their grade. Started thinking I'd fail. Made a B. I highly recommend!
She is pretty tough, not gonna lie, but it's also not impossible. You need to make sure you understand from the very beginning & study hard for every test. If she's your only option, you'll be fine if you're ready to work for a good grade. She bumped me at the end of the semester 2 points to pass but I also wouldn't plan on anything like that
Made herself seem like a cool teacher in the start of the semester, but if you are not good at math, she is not the teacher to have. She never reminded us to do the online homework until the end of the semester around final time.. I always had to teach myself how to do stuff cause she wasn't thorough enough for me. Gave bonus at final time though
Well, first of all, she has a very thick accent that is hard to understand. Everything she does is off a powerpoint which is a hard way to learn if you are a visual learner, bc She never works out the problems on the board, she only shows you steps on a ppt slide. She goes too fast with the notes, and the quizzes were the death of me.
She was the best professor I ever had.
I thought for sure I would fail at the beginning of the semester but luckily I came out with a B. I haven't taken a math 2010 so it was pretty difficult for me. Overall the class was pretty easy she moves fast. We have paper homework, online homework, daily quizzes, and 5 test. Sounds like alot but you can manage. Fast grader. Answers all questions
I've taken her twice and shes amazing She gives up to 5+ points on each test if you do the review and her test are exactly like the review Shes a very easy grader if you show work She assigns a quiz every class thats due the next class but if you do the EASY online hw and pass the test you'll get atleast a B I never did the quizes and made an A
Didn't like her from the first class, she is really hard to understand and only gives a few minutes to work a 12 step problem. Tons of work, tough grader. Sets guidelines but they are hard to reach.
Hardest class I have taken & she does not make it easy for you. All her lectures are on a powerpoint and she just shows the steps, that's it. Very little explanation on how to solve the problems. There are nightly quiz problems that you have to do for a grade. She does a review before the test day but still doesn't explain. Expect to teach yourself
This class is not something that should be extremely difficult. It's her way or it's wrong. I have never had a teacher so awful! The way she will teach you is through a powerpoint. She does NOT get up other than to check quiz grades and doesn't explain anything. All she does is show the steps and then moves on. By far the worst teacher in my life!
Yeah she has an accent, but it isn't something that would keep you from passing. Do the Quizzes that she gives you for homework and you will pass. she gives you a review for each test, DO THE REVIEW, its practically the test. she also has a review the day of test and goes over everything. she works with her students, by far best math prof ive had
TAKE HER. There is no way you could fail this class. She gives quizzes often, but what she doesn't tell you is that they are used for extra credit on your tests. She has pretests (reviews) that help with tests. She also gives reviews before the test that are EXACTLY like the test. Online homework is very minimal. & she replaces your lowest test!
I recommend her for anyone, she does have an accent but she is very smart! she has pretests the day of the test that are very helpful!! She is always finding a way to give you partial credit for anything that you turn in. Stay on top of your homework and quizzes and it is easy to pass her class.
The only reason I made a good grade in this class was because I learned the material in high school. Coming into the class, I was so confused, but then I remembered what we did in high school and used those methods. She encourages working with classmates.
You're going to hate her in the beginning, but wait until the end & you'll start liking her. Milani is not the best at teaching, but she gives test reviews which has everything that's going to be on the test and gives online homework that will boost your grade. DONT DROP unless you're actually failing.. it gets easier in time for the final
Prof. Milani is a very sweet teacher. I will admit ,at first I thought I wasn't going to do good in her class, but I ended up pulling off an A. She offers extra credit at the end of the semester that helps a lot. If you're not the strongest in math, I wouldn't take her class. I liked her as a teacher and I'm taking her next semester.
I feel that a lot of these reviews are from students that did not pass the class. The course is incredibly easy if you try. As long as youre willing to put forth some effort, Milani will see that and make sure that you pass her course. Ask for help. And go to the review sessions for the exams, she goes over the same type of problems from the exams.
This was my second time taking this class so I had to give it a solid effort. She is very hard on attendance so go to class. At the end of the semester she drops the lowest test grade and puts your test average in place of that. The final is really easy she makes it so if you study you can get an A. I got a tutor for this class as well.
I haven't taken a math since 2013, so it was pretty difficult for me. Overall the class was pretty easy. We have online homework, daily quizzes, and 5 test. Sounds like alot but you can manage. Fast grader. She is the best math professor.
I had Ms. Milani for Intermediate Algebra last semester, and she is FANTASTIC. She does have a heavy accent, but don't let that bother you. She is the most dedicated professor I have had. Need extra help, just go to her office and she is more than willing to help. I am taking her for MATH1314 this semester, and MATH1325 next semester.
Milani is awesome, she may come off as very strict in the beginning, but she is very nice and cooperative. Every test is identical to the review, and she gives a review for the test the day of. Towards the end of the semester she did a lot for us to boost our grade like, dropping our lowest test, and adding bonus points to the last unit exam.
Milani is great, she grades quickly, and her tests are very similar to the review. Just go to class, do the weekly quizzes and go to her review sessions before the test and youll make an A no problem, i would definitely take her again for math.
Professor Milani is the best math professor I have ever had. She loves to joke around with her students and her personality makes for a fun, upbeat environment in her classroom. She was very thorough in her teaching method and did her best to adapt to everyone in the class. The homework is easy and the tests are exactly like the review. Take her!
I absolutely loved her! She does everything she can so that the majority of her students get an A and she is awesome at giving extra credit. She truly cares about each student and tries to get to know everyone. I would totally take her again if I could and would recommend her to anyone thinking about taking a math class over the summer!
Millani was the best math professor I've ever had. I'll be honest,a lot of people didn't like her the first week because she's hard to understand and sometimes makes things more confusing than they need to be, but she works hard for students who work and does lots of reviews to help you master the material. I got an A in the class.
I learned more from the tutors in the learning center than I did in her class. She can be hard to understand and very confusing. Every time I tried to see her outside of class she was working with 1325 class. She goes over stuff at a rapid rate and the questions she assigns from book aren't related to her lectures at times. Wouldn't take again.
Ms Milani was hard to understand and sometimes could be hard to follow, but she gave GREAT reviews, and then even gave another review right before the exams. Very helpful! She gives a lot of homework and online quizzes but she uses all of it to add extra credit to your exams. I averaged almost 7-8 points of extra credit PER exam!
Milani is a great professor! She does go fast pace but it was a summer session. She might be a little hard to understand at first but you'll get use to her accent quickly. Make sure you do the online homework, it's simple. She does reviews and pre tests which are very helpful. If you understand them you can easily make an A in the class!
If you do not already know a lot about calculus or can learn about a chapter or two a day then do not take her class. Lectures are all by PowerPoint, ever her practice problems. She moves very fast and did not accept questions during class. The course pack is the only way she teaches so learn fast or fail. It could work for some people but not me.
I found Milani to be very rude. All her lessons are from a power point. All she does is go through the steps of a problem and then moves on. She seems to be very un-organized. If you mess up or get something wrong she'll say figure it out yourself. This should be a easy class but if you don't do something her way its considered wrong.
AWFUL. teaches off powerpoint which always have typos. skips around through notes so half of them are blank but still on homework. practically refuses to help you. i spent hundreds of dollars on tutoring because she was no help in or out of class. you have a quiz like every day and she never tells you if its right or wrong. im sorry if you get her.
If math is your weakness, I would not take her class. If you do not understand a problem, she does not bother to explain again. Her response will be, "I already told you at the beginning of the lesson." Although, she does give reviews before test.
Milani will teach you a portion of the notes, and skip some. Very hard to understand. Rude when you ask her a question. Do not take her class.
so this is milani's first semester with 1324 but she is TERRIBLE!!! the most unorganized teacher. every single hand out i have received from her has had a typo, even test. she has an extremely thick accent and i pay more attention trying to understand her english rather than the lecture, she also talks 100 miles an hour. for real, AVOID MILANI!!!!
Ms. Milani truly cares about her students, & she has a motherly instinct. Her tests are mostly multiple choice & she gives alot of extra credit. She also does reviews in the library before tests which are very helpful & she gives pre-tests which are usually just like the test. Alot of people complain about her accent but it never bothered me!
Amazing math teacher. It's a pretty hard class, but she makes it as easy as she can and takes out some hard sections. If you actually pay attention during her lectures and go to the learning center for help, you should get an A.
She wants the whole class to get A's so thats a good start. She isn't a great teacher but her exams are made to be as easy as possible. This worked in my favor because I got a private tutor to teach me everything and made A's/B's on exams. My classmates had a harder time because of her horrible teaching skills. Bottom line get a tutor
Milani is a good professor and she really has your best interest at heart. She is very helpful when you need 1on1 but some people get confused because she mainly works examples and makes you know definitions on your own. If you're confident in basic math skills you should be fine. Some have trouble with her accent but I don't think it's that bad.
She is the hardest teacher ever! she is very difficult to understand and when you ask for help, she is very mean about it! I tried so hard in her class and got a terrible grade
She is a super easy professor. She teaches off of a powerpoint, so you can see all of the steps. She tries to give as many points to you as possible. As long as you pay attention it is an easy "A"
Prof. Milani is one of the worst prof. I have ever had. She is very unorganized and falls behind on everything (quizzes, homework, tests, etc.) She treats the class as if you are in high school, meaning no phones & will move you if you talk too much. She didn't put grades in until the last day of the course; dry sense of humor.
Nice lady gives a ton of extra credit, but she can't teach very well and makes simple concepts sound extremely complicated. If you know the material the class is easy but don't expect her to teach it to you.
Mrs. Milani is sometimes unclear, but she is a good teacher, makes the class very easy, and offers tons of extra credit, usually just for showing up. The class is quite easy if you have a solid foundation for math and if you show up. I've struggled with math in the past, but I didn't struggle at all in this class with Milani.
MS. Milani wants the whole class to get A's so that's a good start. She is a great teacher and her exams are made to be as easy as possible.
WOW! I absolutely loved her! She does everything she can so that the majority of her students get an A and she is awesome at giving extra credit. She truly cares about each student. She tries to get to know everyone. I would totally take her again if I could and would recommend her to anyone thinking about taking a math class over the summer!
She doesn't explain concepts. If you need to learn, she is not a teacher. She is a college professor with no interest in the students learning concepts or progress and becoming better as the semester progresses. A paycheck prof. Stay away.
There are bad reviews on here, but I have taken her for 2 semesters and she is absolutely the best Math 1324 and 1325 math prof ever. PLEASE do yourself a favor and take her! It isnt an easy A if you dont commit yourself to working hard. Do the work, show up, study, and youll get an A. I love Milani. I will miss her next semester.
I thought Milani was going to be awful bc off this site, but I love her. She's super sweet when you get her to talk in class. I'm taking her for 1324/25 8 week courses and I made an A in 24, probably will be a B in 25. Online stuff is easy, and do quizzes in class while she's going over the example problem, tests are hard so study with people!
PLEASE TAKE MILANI!!! She is a very wise person and good at what she does. She lectures by PowerPoint with EVERY STEP written out. She gives reviews that are similar to the test and quizzes that are take home that are similar to in class problems. Dont judge her by her accent, because once you get to know her shes great! Take her for 1325 too!
MS. Milani is a great professor and her exams are made to be as easy as possible.
WOW! she is the best professor ever.
she is the best professor ever.
Ms. Milani has been one of my favorite professors at Blinn. She really wants everyone to pass and gives out a lot of extra credit. She always reviews before tests and prepares everyone for the material. Math is my worse subject yet I received an A for the class.
Take Milani if you want to gamble on being liked or not. I have literally turned in the exact same answers and work as other people in the class, I always receive a lower grade. She randomly gives people extra points (if she she likes them), VERY irritating. You will NOT earn your grade in this class, you will be given one.
Literally the best professor ever. 10/10 would recommend. Especially if freshman or not good at math, she gives so much extra credit and is honestly trying to help you out all the time. She wants you to succeed and will make sure that you do. Tests are exactly like review and she always cuts out so many questions. LOVE her.
I have taken over 60 hours of college courses, and this was by far the worst 3 I've taken. Ms. Milani shows minimal concern for her students, and can't even be bothered to email them back. She even told us not to call her for the remainder of the course. In an online class like this one, this is just unacceptable. Stay away!
This online class was by far the most confusing, structure wise, I've ever taken. Milani gave us so much work in the 5 week course it was very tough to take other summer classes and stay on track to finish. Ive always emailed her for clarification and never received it. Seems to be a language barrier. Also her random grades make no sense. AVOID
Does not adhere to course schedule and organization. Arbitrarily takes off letter grades from exams. Strong language barrier. Word problems are misspelled and the grammar is incromprehensible. Hard to understand in lecture. This professor turns easy, basic math into a really miserable and difficult class. Do not take this professor.
Professor Milani is an amazing professor! It is evident that she cares for her students, and does what she can to help you out. As long as you keep up with the homework (which isn't too much considering its a math class) you will be fine! The tests are very similar to the review and there is always an in class review the class day before the test!
Milani is the sweetest person you will ever meet! She understands that people make mistakes and she will help you out. She gives reviews that ACTUALLY help with exams. There is a lot of homework but if you pay attention in class you can get it done easily. I would definitely recommend her to anyone
Avoid Milani at all costs, she doesnt help students in her office hours, makes calc another language and she treats her students like high schoolers. will take points off on multiple choice questions for not showing work and will give you a zero if you dont turn your test in the right pile. Got a C on my first exam but clearly deserved an A.
I had to teach myself how to do all of the work. All of my classmates also struggled with actually learning in her class and she will not help you. She blames all of her shortcomings on technology. The math itself isn't very difficult but she makes it almost impossible to know what is going on.
This was the hardest and work class I have ever taken. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Shes a nice lady but lacks communication with students and makes tasks almost impossible for some. The attendance was based on the work you do rather than actually being in class. Wont respond to your emails when you are confused or need extra help.
If you struggle with math, DO NOT TAKE THIS PROF!!! She "teaches" math from a PowerPoint, never works it out for you. When you ask her to explain she will tell you she does not understand why you don't get it, then move on OR will completely ignore you. Lots of hw and tests are difficult! Only reason I passed was bc she gave extra credit at the end
dropped this class early. she doesnt teach well I do not reccomend.
Do not take this professor. She takes forever to respond to emails and she really doesn't help students out. You also have to pretty much teach yourself the material because during class she's more focused on getting through the lecture powerpoint than actually teaching.
She's horrible. She doesn't teach and just shows power points and expects you to know everything. When you ask for help, she's just confused about how you don't understand it and tells you to go ask another student to help you. She is lenient on tests if you show your work and offers extra credit at the end of her class.
She barely showed up to class, did not use the textbook, referred to students by a number, and never taught the class. The exams were difficult and she was impossible to contact outside of class.
Super hard class and she only opens the Dropbox for assignments 5 minutes.
barley speaks english, impossible amount of assignments. i thought blinns worst math professor was podulaski and that i had seen it all, i was wrong
