The topic is boring but she made it interesting. Several class discussions that were engaging. The homework is not difficult, just follow the instructions in the syllabus. One of the most helpful teachers ever, just don't be afraid to ask questions. Definitely was not looking forward to taking this class, now I'm sad to see it go.

This professor is hard, but she is very helpful. If you take the time to email her and talk to her, she will spend time outside of class helping you understand the material. Textbook is a must. She tries to get her students to be independent thinkers. She will not spoon feed you answers, but she is very approachable. Best professor I've had so far!

Best professor so far! This class was not very interesting to me; I thought it would be straightforward and common sense. But she made the class engaging and entertaining, even for a night class! Everyone has a chance to say their opinion and discussions always bring a different perspective. Exams are hard, but you'll get a good grade if you study.

I thought she was amazing. Sometimes she is hard to understand and can talk in circles however, as long as you pay attention take notes and review power points you will pass! She gives a good chance for extra credit and really works with her students. Her TA also is mainly why I loved her class she was extra helpful. Very interesting

Lots of class discussions, tests are not easy but I studied and did as well as I do in any other class (A range), Sometimes she confuses her examples and therefore confuses the class. If you listen well, you can tell when she gets mixed up and not get confused yourself :)

Be prepared for a significant part of your grade to be in the hands of other people. My biggest complaint of Dr. Petrovic's class is all of the group work, even for big presentations.

Dr. Petrovic was very patient and willing to help all her students you just had to seek her out during her office hours if you had a question about class topics.

She is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. Cognition is a complicated subject for even the people who study it, but Prof. Petrovich tries her hardest to make it clear and concise. She listens to the opinions of the class and will mold the class structure around those opinions.

This class was the hardest I took. She wants her students to succeed, learn, and think, but she does not like being challenged or questioned. She is too proud to back down from her opinion; so it is best to keep your opinions to yourself and let her rant (which she occasionally does for a topic she is passionate about).

Before I took this class, I was looking forward to learning research methods. I've done a little bit of research in the psych department before, and I liked it. But after I took this class, I learned that I dislike research very much. The whole exposure to the research project was a pain then a learning experience. She is a good teacher tho.

Loved this class so much! I wasn't sure about my choice in getting a degree in psychology until I took her class. She really emphasizes thinking for yourself so that you learn the material better. Group projects aren't the best, but they still provide good feedback and good examples of the book material. She is strict, but very approachable.

Milena Petrovic is a very knowledgable professor, who truly seems to enjoy her job. She makes you feel very comfortable and engages you in her lectures. I loved her class and her as a teacher, 10/10 would recommend.

Very descriptive in her lectures, explains nicely. Attendance is for a grade. I recommend studying the quizlets for each chapter she provides in canvas. That's how I passed. She hates cellphones and doesn't allow you to be on them in class. She cares about you and will always answer any questions you have and try to help you.

I love Petrovic. Love. I took cognition with her and made sure that I had her for my capstone. She made sure the class was structured as relevantly to the "real world" as possible. This was the only class I looked forward to going to this entire semester. She's blunt and incredibly insightful. She's an amazing resource and I highly admire her.

Petrovic is the best professor I had in my undergraduate years. While my did not prepare me for graduate school, Petrovic did: thought me how to write well, how to do research, and to ask questions. She was always there to help me in any way she could. I would have been in big trouble if it was not for her. Thanks for preparing me for my Ph.D.

If you follow along in class and read the book and study the quizzes, you should be fine when it comes to class time. Go to the PRC for the papers, those are easy grades that can help your overall grade if you do them correctly.

good professor, TA does all the grading. Do not need the book, her tests questions are generated from her lectures. I didn't read the book once and got an A in the class. Says that attendence is not required, but she takes it every class and there are many in class assignments that you would miss easy points for if you don't show up

This is the best class I took so far as a Psych major. It is relevant not only professionally but I use it in every day life. The lectures were super interesting and we often had large class discussion on interesting and relevant topics. I would definitely recommend this prof. She is awesome!!

I absolutely LOVE Professor P! I was in her Ethics and Diversity class and am currently in her Cognition class. She really makes the lectures interesting and engages the class in discussion. She is really knowledgeable, but doesn't make you feel like you are dumb for asking questions or disagreeing with her. I hope I can take her capstone.

Her class was by far my favorite during this semester. She's super nice and really listens to her students. Provides all the materials you'll need and is very straight forward with what to expect. Hardly gives homework. Just take notes and review the material and the class is an easy A!

I loved this class, and I thought it would be super boring. Dont bother buying the books though because her test questions are all from her powerpoints, which are available on canvas. In class she is very helpful. The lectures are very good. Read the power points and you will pass. Exams are 60% of the grade which is like ap classes in hs. The only critique is that she doesn't respond to emails very often. I left her 3 emails and got 1 response back. The TA responded almost instantly which was great. Overall very decent course.

I enjoyed Cogniton with Dr. P. Her lectures help you understand the content, and she keeps you engaged with daily in class activities (group work & graded). Tests aren't too bad, some MC and some short answer. Kind of big group paper/presentation at end of semester. Overall, she is a kind prof and seems knowledgable and passionate about the content

I like Dr P, but I wish she would forgo the group project, as they usually are awful and it was in my experience. Her lectures are ok, i didnt feel like they prepared me for the exams well enough. She was a tough grader on in class assignments which brought my grade down. Attendance is mandatory & if you get caught on your phone she'll kick you out

Every class meeting you get an in class assignment, so if you miss a lecture youll get a zero. But you get 3 freebies, which is awesome. Tests are kind of hard but not bad, both multiple choice and short answer.

Dr. P is an amazing lecturer, she explains the concepts very clearly DURING class, and I recommend you pay attention to the examples that she discusses in class as these may show up on exams. Some concepts on the power points may not be in the textbook, so it is essential to listen to what Dr. P says in the class.

I really enjoyed this class! I was always invested in the lectures, even though I have trouble paying attention during classes. She tends to put a lot of scenarios into her powerpoints requiring group discussion, so make sure you like who you're sitting next to. Her class is very participation heavy, so pick someone else if that's not your thing.

Dr. Petrovic is pretty nice, if you show up to class and interact with others you'll be fine. She has weekly/daily participation tasks that add up to your grade. Lets you have a notecard for exams.

Pretty cool professor! Attendance is not mandatory, but technically is since there are in class activities assigned very often and they add up. Class is pretty interesting so it's not hard to stay engaged and most often than not the in-class activities are with partners. You have to read the book since slides don't cover everything for exams.

Amazing professor! She discusses the material in depth and makes sure everyone follows along. Throughout each lecture, you have multiple opportunities for discussion, and there is extra credit at the end of the course for those who participate in those discussions. If you study for the tests you will most likely get a 90 or higher. Loved the class!

Attendance is not mandatory, but I recommend it as there are often random group discussions that are submitted for credit. GO TO CLASS all of your assignments will be in class, meaning you only get the prompt in class, and can only turn in at the end of class. You cannot make up the work in class. Paper tests, 2study guide outlines, note card on tests, know your vocab! She's very nice, one of her TA's is a very tough grader, challenge it, we always got points back.

Dr. P is a caring instructor and very happy to help. Attendance is VERY important since there are group assignments. You are allowed note cards on exams and the final exam is all multiple choice.
