He's Croatian, so he has an accent, but he's easy to understand. He teaches very thoroughly and is easy to follow. However, his tests are much harder than the exercise problems that he gives for homework.
Wonderful teacher (very thorough explanations) but gives an easy first test and the rest are progressively harder. I took AP calc in high school and got a C in this class. Just be prepared to prove formulas on tests and see some WEIRD questions! Oh, and the final test was HARD!

He is SUCH a good teacher! I understood everything, but still had trouble on the tests. The tests are brutal, so you really need to study HARD to get a good grade. I got an A in AP Calc in high school and a D in his class. :-/
boo...he didn't care about precal at all! very unhelpful
Good teacher, very thorough. Study for tests... I made a 98 on the first test and a 25 on the last.
Very good teacher. Did a great job of explaining the material. Gave only three homework assignments and graded them only for completion and did not give any quizzes. All you have to do is study the practice test and not the book and this class in an easy A.
Has an accent, but it's not hard understand him. Doesn't go over homework in class, but does a lot of examples from the practice tests. Tests get progressively harder, so don't let early A's make you think studying is unnecessary. I took Precalculus in high school, so that helped a lot with tests.
amazing math teacher! best i've ever had. he explains things very well and truly seems to care that u do well on the tests. gives tons of examples from practice tests and will give partial credit for tests and jexam homework if you just go talk to him.
Very helpful. Will address any and all questions until you understand. I didn't think the class was hard, but it seemed like a lot of people struggled. Depending on your math background it could be really easy or really hard, but Zabcic is very clear and goes at a pretty lenient pace. Definitely reccomend the class.
Overall he is a good teacher. He uses lots of examples from the tests and is helpful. But he has a bad tendency of really over explaining simple concepts. Not only is this very annoying and boring but occasionally it kept us from ever getting to go over the new hard stuff before the test so there would be questions on the test I had never seen.
Horrible if don't understand theory or proofs well. He starts abstract and end even more abstract. BEWARE gave false hope then half class failed or got D's. So above MATH 3000 BEWARE for Math 3000 and below he is great and more computational which many get good grades.
I loved this class. He went over everything that would be on the test. When explaining new concepts he goes into great detail so there is no way you can't understand. If some-how you don't understand you can go to his office hours and he will help you till you understand. Take math with him if you can!!!
I think Dr. Zabcic is a GREAT teacher. I tries to make concepts simple and easy to understand. He also uses alot of examples that appears on the test so as long as you go to class and take notes, you will do fine on the test.
Zabcic is not a bad teacher, but considering he teaches higher level math courses, he treats the Pre-Calc class like retards and goes over the same basic concepts several times, and so he never makes it into the difficult parts, thus you have to get tutoring just to learn how to do it. DO NOT buy the pre-calc book for his class, it is useless.
Great guy... very helpful and gives very detailed explanations. I recommend this teacher.
I loved Dr. Zabcic. He makes things really easy to understand and the class is pretty simple of you just go to class and watch his examples. The textbook is completely useless and you don't need to buy it
This class was definitely harder than I expected it to be. The first test he gives to you, verbatim, and it's a breeze. The two following tests he simply said "Study" and that was our test review. You WILL NOT get any idea of what will be on the final three tests so know your stuff. He was nice though and gives generous partial credit.
He is a great teacher. Really helpful. Textbook is useless in this class. Just do the J-exam practice test over and over again and you'll be fine! Take notes because he actually goes over J-exam probs. This was a good class. Good Luck!
Dr. Zabcic is a wonderful teacher! Attendance is not mandatory, but he does plenty of examples from the tests, so I would recommend going to class. The book is pointless...just do plenty of JEXAM practice tests and you should do fine.
Best Prof i ever had. This guy rocks. He is so nice and extremely helpful. If you get the chance, definitely take his class!!!
Dr. Zabcic is absolutely amazing!!! He took a ton of examples straight from the J-Exam practice tests (as well as past J-Exam tests) and worked them in class. He explained everything VERY clearly. If you take notes in class and use the notes to work the practice tests, you'll do well. Just watch out for hw due dates, he doesn't always remind you.
Take him if you get the chance. He explains things down to a "T". Book not needed, just take good notes and do plenty of J-Exam practice test. His class examples are taken directly from the test bank.
All he does is examples from previous tests. It really does prepare you for the Jexam tests. Attendance isn't mandatory, but there is a quiz in class before every test.
Dr. Zabcic is a great teacher, he really knows what hes teaching and spends a long time tryng to explain it so everyone understands. Tests are extremely easy too, the problems come straight from the homework, just with different numbers. Take his class if you can.
He was a really good teacher of the material and was very laid back. I did a few of the many homeowork problems and did well on the tests. Most of the time the tests were harder than the hw but if you knew the material you were fine.
Very good teacher! Would recommend him to anyone!
You will want to take this teacher. I had him for an 8 am class and I didn't mind him. Regardless of his accent he is easy to understand, and explains things very well. He doesn't take attendence, but you will do better if you go to class.
Amazing professor! Passionate about material. Always happy to explain and re-explain himself. Makes everything clear and explains why everything works so you don't just memorize things like a robot. Makes math fun, very entertaining man.
He is a really good teacher, but it is boring if you know the material.
I had him for Precalc and he is really easy. He teaches what is on the homework and the tests. I only got an A- because he doesn't really prepare you very well for the final, and I didnt do so hot on that. Overall, he is a really easy and very nice professor.
Great teacher. Explains everything step by step. But because if this, the class can go very slow and seem somewhat boring. I hardly ever make it to class, but i've made a 96, 100, 93, 90 ...etc on all the tests. As long as you do the JExam homework and the practice tests, you'll get an A in the class. But he really is nice and very helpful :)
Accent at time came be a communication barrier!
Prof. Zabcic is very nice; he is very willing to talk with students during office hours to make sure you fully understand information. He goes over problems step by step. He is is very easy going and enjoys teaching math. Sometimes he doesn't teach everything that are on the tests but if you do homework and study, you should do fine. Take him.
GREAT professor. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. He is very passionate about math and u can tell he's brilliant. Be prepared to memorize some proofs, but theyre not so bad. No graded homework, just 3 tests and a final. He's a funny and quirky man that makes math class more than bearable
He is the best teacher I have ever had. When I first got to Math 2260, I had lost all my interest in math. Dr. Zabcic renewed my interest and I will be heart broken when I take a math class he does not teach. If you ever have a chance to take his class, GO FOR IT! He is amazing.
Dr. Zabcic is the man. Calc 2 is just an awful, terrible class; BUT Zabcic made it bearable. He has a gift for teaching and making students understand difficult concepts. He can be pretty funny, too. He is, however, not afraid to call you out on your mistakes. Can be embarassing, but it is all in good humor usually.
Apparently, he is a good teacher for lower level math classes, such as calculus, but for high level classes - do not take him. His homework and what he teaches in class do not go together. You basically have to teach yourself.
Zabcic was an excellent Calculus 3 teacher. He made everything really easy to understand and always showed how concepts from the first two calculuses related. I was able to make an A but it was pretty hard considering your grade is just 3 tests at 20% each and a final at 40%. The tests aren't that bad, just know the theory he gives and do the hwk.
Dr. Zabcic was one of the best math professors I could have hoped for. He explained things so well that it would be difficult not to understand the material after a class. I liked his teaching so much that I am taking him for MATH 2250 this coming semester. Definitely take him if you can!
Zabcic is easily the best math teacher I've ever had. He does have a slight accent but I never found it hard to understand him. His tests aren't the easiest but he explains everything so well in class that you should be able to do well if you take decent notes and work a few hw problems. He's very easy to talk to outside of class as well.
Awesome! Hard, long tests, but they cover examples that he did in class. STUDY THE NOTES and be there everyday and you will do good. I had him for Calc 1 and Calc 2
He is a great teacher, He is easier to take in Calculus, not Pre-cal, because he assumes that the student already knows the info he is teaching. GREAT overall teacher.
milenjko is the BEST!! i took him for calc one and two, and am sad he wasnt teaching calc 3 the semester i needed him. he explains everything so good, and has amazing drawing and handwrighting. his tests are tough, but you can actually do well because he actually teaches you. not to mention he is adorable!!
Come to class and study your notes and you will be fine! It's worth coming to class and paying attention because Dr. Zabcic is actually pretty witty/funny! Overall, a great teacher and willing to work with you outside of class if need be (but everything is pretty well explained in class!)
Not too bad of a class. Only have 3 grades in the class plys the final, so do well on the tests and you will be fine. Goes over everything really slowly to make sure you get it. If you've already taken Calc in high school it is really boring, but still go to class and do the homework because it pays off.
To me he was not that helpful. If you did ask him a question he would answer it in around about way and sometimes not at all. I would not take him again.
If you took AP Calc in high school this class is extremely boring. I still went to class and payed attention so I wouldn't have to do the homework. He goes over almost the entire assignment in class so I never even opened by textbook. If you haven't taken calc i'd recommend him. He goes through the info slow and was always willing to help.
Dr. Zabcic is the man. He makes it nearly impossible not to do well in his class. He goes over all pertinent information and the problems he works in class are almost identical to ones he puts on the tests. Zabcic also has a sense of humor, which makes class more interesting. Study your notes, attend class, and pay attention and you'll do well.
Easily one of the best professors I've had. Don't be worried by his accent, he's actually really easy to understand. He explains the material extremely well and makes it pretty interesting at times. His tests are tough, but as long as you do the homework for practice and study your notes, you should do fine.
Professor Zabcic is an awesome teacher and has a funny sense of humor. It's easy to get an A in the class if you attend and his office hours are really helpful as well!
I didn't do as well as I wanted because I was taking difficult classes that are more important for me with the same test days. The tests long and tough. The teacher is great and helpful but many of my friends have taken easier calc classes. I would recommend him if you wanted to learn the material well, not if you are just looking for a calc credit
For real science major students who like to follow the lectures, Dr.Zabcic's class should be the first when considering. He is helpful in both office hour and his spare time. For those who like to teach themselves, he can be a really nice mentor. He is an interesting person although talkative. Most students found him elegant. A pure math man!
The tests are only over the notes he does in class and a little bit of the homework so I highly recommend going to class. He doesn't announce the tests either so make sure you pay attention to the syllabus. Overall, he was really nice and pretty funny, I just think the subject in general isn't that great and that's what was confusing.
The homework is 30% of your grade so DEFINITELY do the homework. Odd answers are in the back of the book, the even numbered answers can be found online, all 100's on homework will be the difference between a C and B
Dr. Zabcic is fantastic. He explains concepts very clearly and elegantly, is very witty, and is extremely approachable and helpful during office hours. The only grades come from the tests and the final, but the tests are straightforward; no surprises, just come to class and do the homework to prepare. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Zabcic is a good teacher and tries to be nice. He goes too slow but he does succeeded in explaining the problems. His grading system is the only bad part about the class. He only gives 3 exams and a final. No homework grades or drop tests. This might seem good but the exams are only 5 problems worth 20 points each. No room for any error
He's the best math teacher I've ever had! He does go slowly, but it's just because he really wants everyone to get the concepts, and it's not really a problem since there is less material on the tests that way.
Genius. Willing to help always during office hours. Only tests on exactly what it taught. Took him for Calc 2 and Calc 3 and couldn't be more satisfied. Wish I could take him for every math class ever.
The only grades are three tests and a final. Homework is assigned but not mandatory. His tests are homework problems with different numbers, so doing the homework is advisable. Tests get progressively harder, so don't stop doing the homework. Third test was a take-home test. Clear yet slow teaching style. Would take again
GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. He really appreciates students making an effort and will remember you for that. His test are very very tough, including the take home exam, but if you go to class and DO THE HOMEWORK (do not get behind) you will be fine. Very tough class and the material is tough, but he is there to help you through it.
Great teacher, however, the lectures are extremely dense and the examples used in class are nowhere near the problems given on the tests. Only three tests and a final. Take this class elsewhere.
He is a fantastic math teacher who is very thorough in his lectures. When I say thorough, he goes REALLY slowly, which can sometimes be tiresome. The class only has 3 tests and a final, and there is no homeworkquiz grades. He is a tough grader too and his tests are hard. You can't skip class because he never posts anything online.
He is great at explaining the material, so if you wan to learn it well, he does a really good job. His test problems are insanely more difficult than anything you have ever seen in your life. No joke. His test are impossible. BEWARE YOU'LL DO REALLY WELL ON THE FIRST TEST, THE LAST TWO WILL KILL YOU. 3 TEST. 1 FINAL. take this class elsewhere
Zabcic has been the best math teacher Ive ever had. He explains things VERY clearly so it is very hard to not understand a topic. He assigns homework but it isn't for a grade, however, PLEASE DO IT IF YOU WANT TO PASS!!!!! His tests are a little tricky but if you have a good understanding of the concepts there is nothing to worry about.
He was the BEST math professor I've ever had. He explains everything SO well and his diagrams and drawings on the board are perfectly beautiful (I'm not exaggerating). He is very helpful during office hours and he cares about his students' performance. Very approachable and easy to talk to. Didn't like that the only grades were 3 tests and final.
Zabcic is the best math teacher I've had since private middle school. He explains things so clear in class that there's really no way you can't understand him. That being said, you may be tempted to skip because it seems so easy, but don't! He's also super OCD about drawing extremely accurate and detailed pictures, which helps tremendously!
Only grades were 3 tests and a final. Assigns homework but doesn't collect it. Really knows his material and is good at explaining it.
4 Grades the entire semester. 1 being 40% of your grade... He's clear and the tests aren't that bad if you do homework and attend class, but the final will lower your grade, and if your average already isn't grade, you an be on the brink of failing
I would take every math class ever with him if I could. Very clear and patient during lectures, reviews old stuff that we should know, tests are exactly like homework and class examples. If you pay attention in class and do the homework, you'll do well in his class. Your grade is only 3 tests and a pretty difficult final though.
excellent teacher. explains everything very well.
I've had Zabcic for two semesters now. He's hands down the best math teacher I've ever had. He lectures are very clear, he walks you through each concept and makes sure you understand it thoroughly, and is very helpful in his office hours. Take him if you want to understand math and also get an A!
The tests are very hard. But if you can get past the tests, He is one of the best teachers on campus.
Best math teacher I've ever had. He explains things so well so everyone understands and also makes very clear drawings so we understand the concepts behind the math. Only 4 grades in this class, 3 tests and a final, which makes you study but nothing to worry about if you pay attention, take good notes, and havea solid study group. TAKE ZABCIC
Zabcic is a great professor. I would take him again. His tests really make you think; he doesn't give you easy questions on the tests. He grades fairly, so if you do all the homework and come to class, you should be alright. His lectures are enjoyable. He uses a blackboard with different colored chalk. His visuals are amazing and easy to understand
Zabcic is a great professor. His lectures are so clear and concise, and he makes sure that the students understand the material. I never skipped a day of his class because they were so beneficial. His exams are fairly difficult and he doesn't take a homework grade, but if you do the work and have an understanding of the material, you should well.
Zabcic is a great teacher and makes everything so clear. Your grade is only 3 tests and a final so study hard. his final is ridiculous compared to the other tests. 15 questions and only three hours, I did poorly on the final so ended up doing much worse than I thought I would in this class. If you put in the effort, you can do well in this class
Zabcic is the best teacher at UGA. TAKE HIM! He makes everything seem easy and will work through problems several times until it is understood. Explains topics very thoroughly and gives outlines of the test the week the class before the exam. 3 tests (20% each) and a final (40%) is the grade. Homework is optional. Easy A .
The best professor at UGA. Dr. Zabcic is very helpful. He mainly teaches CALC III and DIffi Eq. You may find the class may be daunting and his pedagogy is somewhat repetitive and elementary., but he makes things so interesting and clear. I've had him for two semesters in a row (MATH 2500/2700). It is very important to attend a class!
Dr. Zabcic presents a clear lecture with an introduction and summary. He draws a box around key points. In office hours he works problems and explains concepts. He is a strict grader. There is NO CURVE, no attendance policy, and the final grade is comprised of three test grades (20%) and a (challenging) cumulative final (40%).
He's amazing! He gives you quality notes during class. He has a slight accent but it's easy to understand. He makes understand Calc really easy and relatable to real life. If you study the notes and do the homework, you'll make an A in his class.
He is the best math professor I have had thus far. His notes and lecture are built for anyone and everyone; you dont have to be some genius-prodigy math god to do well in his class. There are only 3 tests worth 20% plus a final of 40%. Grading is somewhat tough but fair. all in all, I would recommend him to everyone. Great professor
I had Zabcic for multivariable and differential equations, and he is by far one of my favorite professors. His tests are straight from lecture so there are no surprises, and the courses are easy with him. He is amazingly helpful and overall a wonderful professor and person.
Professor Zabcic is a funny guy who makes math maybe not so boring. However be prepared to be graded on tests and tests alone as there are three tests and one final. CAUTION: Must have a 94 or higher to get a 4.0 for this class
Dr. Zabcic is the best math professor ever! Everything is very organized if you go to class and pay attention and do his homework assignments you'll make an A! he's pretty funny also!
Zabcic is by far the best calculus prof I've ever had. He tells you exactly what topics will be on the tests, and the test questions are of similar difficulty to the in-class problems that he works out. homework was never mandatory but it helped. 10/10 an amazing prof!!!
Great professor with clear and easy lectures. Homework is optional and he never took any of it up but I'd definitely recommend doing it because the test questions are harder than what is done in class. If you can do the homework you should be good for the test. Won't curve your grade at all tho
Great Professor. Took last semester and made sure to take him again. Very clear lectures and is passionate about calc. Very understanding if you miss class. Especially if you have an excuse. I would definitely recommend building your schedule around his class.
I must say how I can personally testify Zabcic lives up to his ratings. I did terrible at first: 18 on first test, lowest in the class. Zabcic pushed me to study more and practice and I was going to his office hours 3 times a week. Second Test: 70. Third test: 97. Finals: Dunno test grade but I passed. Take him. You won't regret it. Love this guy.
Dr Zabcic is overall my favorite professor at UGA. He doesn't teach a bunch of added fluff, just stuff that matters and will be helpful. He is very straight forward and does not try to trick you on tests. I am taking another professor for a summer class and Zabcic definitely spoiled me to the max. I reccommend him for any and every class.
Skip class and you won't pass. Homeowork not required but if you don't do it you won't pass. He's not sympathetic to borderline grades and won't curve at all. Bomb one test and you're in trouble. Final counts almost half your grade.
Hard to understand, which will affect your ability to understandd the material. Very difficult tests along with neverending homework.
I had to drop the class becasuse he refuses to curve any grades even if everyone fails. Took it again with another professor and did great.
When he gives a hard test and you do poorly, you're out of luck. Won't curve regardless if everyone fails. Avoiddd
A god among math professors. Best Calc professor I have had while in college. He very clearly explains all topics, doesn't teach unnecessary extra stuff, and goes way back in explaining very basic concepts, down to explaining things as simple as deriving x^2 and graphing x^2. You are responsible for homework and if you do it you will succeed.
The sheer beauty of his drawings make me shed tears. 10/10
Gives exams that are so much harder than what he goes over in class and won't curve.
"Don't worry about __, its just a stupid number." Zabcic and his simplified and succinct pedagogy will make even the most difficult math course feel as if it were merely just a quantity of "stupid numbers" Highly recommend
He explains things in simple ways, and obviously knows what he's talking about. However, he has no mercy on tests (there are only 3 of them and a final as your entire grade) and if you mess up one of them you're screwed for the rest of the semester. If you do the hw and go to class you should be fine, and if you miss class make sure you get notes.
EXCELLENT teacher. He goes through everything slowly and thoroughly and has very accessible office hours. His tests are straightforward and mirrir the homework problems assigned. I would 100% take his course again.
Only a few test questions and one is always tricky. If you miss one, you fail. Absolutely no curve. His final counts 40% and he purposely makes it so difficult so that you will drop a letter grade after final exam.
Great drawings and depictions of lines, planes, and surfaces in 3d. His class is very easy to understand but the only grades are tests, making it harder than normal fo pass with C
The best teacher I've ever had. Show me somebody that cares more about what they are teaching and can explain these math concepts better. I'll wait. There isn't anybody.
Zabcic is the best math professor I've ever had. He explains concepts from a fundamental level and builds on top of that with examples. Drawings and work are done with such clarity, and he is always available outside of class. Class is only based on four tests, so there is not much room for error. Still, my favorite teacher ever.
He teaches at an extremely slow pace. He gives out hw but doesn't take it up. Definitely not needed to do it weekly but I recommend you practice it before exams. Exams are your only grade so you must do well on all of them. He's a good teacher, exams are reasonable if you study.
Zabcic draws the most amazing diagrams I've ever seen in my life. He breaks things down to the basics. Sometimes so much so that class becomes a little boring. HW isn't graded but is really good practice. The only grades are test grades, but the tests are literally exactly what's in class, no tricks. He really knows what he's doing.
Zabcic is my favorite math professor! His lectures were super easy to understand and his drawings were to DIE for. He only has 4 grades(3 tests and a final) in the class so its important to do the hw and attend the lectures. He genuinely cares about his students and will stop the lecture to explain a concept if you ask! Definitely recommend him!!
His classes are very easy for UGA. I didnt do any homework since its not required and made easy a on all tests. If you want an easy a retake him for sure.
Fantastic teacher with the best lectures you will ever attend. They are relavent and to the point. He does a great job of bringing students into exactly the right headspace to see the concept he is explaining. Tests are somewhat difficult, but completely fair. Nothing he gives on tests are tricks. I would drop just to take it again with him
Dr. Zabcic is definitely one of my favorite professors at UGA. He made his lecture so easy to understand and has great handwriting. He doesn't collect homework, and his test is fairly easy if you understand the materials. I would def take his course again if I can!
Zabcic explains well and only tests you on exactly what he goes over. Simple class if you are decent at math. Easy a
Dr. Zabcic was an excellent explainer of the course material; however, he grades on very few criteria (3 tests). Additionally, it was hard to find out exactly what I was doing wrong. Overall, I would take his class again, except I would like to have more feedback.
Dr. Zabcic is an amazing, amazing prof. His drawings are GORGEOUS and he explains things so clearly. Sometimes it's a bit slow, but it's helpful with the complicated stuff. HW isn't due, but it's really helpful and sometimes test questions are lifted from it. Test questions are also very straightforward, which is good since they're your only grade
Zabcic is just a real dude. Super down-to-earth, and obviously cares about his students. He makes a lot of funny jokes! The class is graded by 3 exams and a final, but if you do the homework thoroughly, the exams are easy A's. Be sure to attend lectures, cause he teaches how to solve all the problems really thoroughly and understandably.
Professor Zabcic is genuinely a nice guy, however he only grades on the three tests and final you take. And he grades HARD. If you do something barely incorrect he will take away all points and he puts a lot of drawings on his tests and he does not teach you how to do them well. He will not do any corrections or extra credit even if everyone fails.
He's a great professor. The final was cumulative though, so if you don't like that, don't take this class as the final was 40% of the grade. We had 3 tests and a final and that was it.
I'm not sure how he's seen as a "great professor" at all. He is a VERY picky grader and there are only 3 tests and the final that contributes to your grade. The class is very fast paced and there aren't any hw grades to help you. He doesn't respond to emails and had no sympathy whatso ever during this Covid/Online semester. I woudn't take him again
Your only grades come from 3 exams and a final. However, he teaches extremely well and he is responsive outside of class. He is one of the best math professors I have taken here at UGA
Very good professor teaches super well and clear. He is a nice too but you only have grades on 3 tests and final. No extra credit or corrections. You can not use notes or formula sheet or even a calculator during the test. He also uses ProctorU for testing and goes over testing procedures like a day before the test.I wouldn't take him had I known
Best math teacher I ever had in my life. Lectures are so clearly done that a hamster can understand them. Class is test heavy, but if you pay attention there is no reason to fail. I never did a rate my professor before, but this guy seriously deserved 5 stars.
I feel like i'd love him so much more if no covid, but STILL, he's an amazing lecturer. the only thing i don't like about him is his refusal to give us calculators and lack of partial credit given on exams, which are the only thing that make up your grade. and no, no drop test or replacement or weight distribution or corrections. but good choice
Dr. Zabcic is an overall stand-up guy. He genuinely cares about his students getting the material and his lectures are super thorough and easy to follow along with because he's just that good. Only graded by 3 tests and a final, but if you study and do the homework, you can get an A. In the top 3 of professors in the math department in my opinion.
I like Dr. Zabcic, but I don't know why he has such great ratings. I found his lectures to be very slow, repetitive and boring. The class is only 3 tests and a final which isn't too difficult, but he's a picky grader. He also words the questions on the test unlike he has worded them in class or on homework. I still think he is the best Diffeq Prof.
I'd recommend him overall. I ended up with A- but that's bc I didn't study for the final. His drawings are beyond gorgeous and he's sometimes hilarious. His lecture notes are so thorough and tests look similar with homeworks and lecture questions. Just don't make dumb mistakes bc he's a tough grade and there r only 3 tests. He also has a cute cat.
Took this class online but I think it's mostly going to be the same in-person. I skipped lectures after a month to go to the gym. He post lecture notes online and I only had to study a day before the test for a good grade. He also posted lecture recordings but I didn't watch any. Just make sure to try every single possible type of question.
i wanted to like him. maybe he's good in person. he's just slow, repetitive, and spends most the class going over how to take the derivative of yx^2 and v little on relevant things. no calculators on tests. he thought he was "being nice" by giving us a saturday test with a week's notice, and threw a big hissy fit when we asked him to reconsider.
Miljenko is the best math professor that I have had at UGA I would definitely try and get him for Calc 3 and after Calc 2 this class feels like a breeze the only downside is that the whole class grade is off of 3 tests and the final.
Honestly one of the best math prof I have had in a long time. He is super clear with his explains and does a ton of them. The class is really test-heavy though there are 3 tests and the final worth 40%. HW is optional but the problems are really similar to his test so I would HIGHLY suggest doing them. You put in work and he will recognize it too.
Lectures are very detailed and understandable, and his posted online notes are amazing. Goes so very into detail about the topics and makes sure that you fully grasp the concepts. Most calculus teachers always assume you fully understand the algebra and solving tactics, but he goes back over it to make sure you do. Tests are also not difficult.
Dr. Zabcic is an amazing professor! His lectures are captivating and he does a very good job at explaining the material so you can actually understand the content. I highly recommend going to his lectures or you are probably gonna struggle in the class. He also grades pretty harshly sometimes and your grade is just 4 exams. Overall, he's great!
My favorite professor at UGA! He is the best math teacher I have ever had. Grades are only tests so it is up to you to stay on top of going to class and homework. He teaches his lectures to where they are very understandable and enjoyable. Usually people don't love differential equations, but it was my favorite class this semester and in a while!
By far the best professor I've had at UGA! Your grade is just based on 3 tests and the final, however. But his lectures are great, and his tests are just like the homework, so as long as you do the HW then you'll be fine. He was very nice to me as well.
COME TO CLASS! Zabcic is an amazing lecturer, and takes the time to make his lectures and lecture notes polished and useful for learning the content. The biggest negative of this class is that it's only based off of 3 exams and a final, but if you come to class every day and do the homework problems in his lecture notes, you should be solid!
Dr. Zabcic is by far one of the best prof. I had at UGA. Everything that you need to learn can be done in class, his lectures are very clear, & his tests always reflects the content of the lectures. Also, I recommend using the HW as a study tool since it's not mandatory/graded. Some may see him as condescending, but overall he's just very forward.
I loved this class and professor so much! Your grade is only based off of three tests (20% each) and the final (40%), but if you prepare for the tests, this is not an issue. Looking over the lecture material and completing the homework are the best ways to prepare for these tests. Highly recommend!
Zabcic is very unstructured in that he does not require you to turn in any homework or grades other than your 3 exams and a final. He suggests homeworks after the lecture, which are really helpful for studying. HIs tests are reasonable and he prepares you well if you go to class.
you do not have to attend class to do well. He's very slow so if you are amazing at math youll be very bored. No homework. Only graded off three exams and a final. He post in depth lecture notes. chill guy I would take him again.
Professor Zabcic is not accommodating whatsoever. He is a very harsh grader and your grade is only based on three test and the final. I had a very serious family matter before the first test, which affected my grade, and he did not care or have any empathy at all. No extra credit, barely any partial credit, and no retakes.
I never thought that Calc 3 could be easy, and then Zabcic proved me wrong. He makes all the difficult concepts seem elementary, and I could always follow his work. He is also the funniest person when he is not trying. Know your algebra well though, as the test are only 4-5 questions, and one really little mistake can cost you a few points.
I liked his teaching style he just walks you through exactly what you need to know how to do step by step. There is no reason to not get an A unless you don't pay attention or skip class.
Best professor ever, 3 tests plus a final exam 100 point each test and 200 for the final. No homework grade, or attendance grade. Show up to class and do the homework on time you will pass easily.
Zabcic makes diff eq very friendly to his students. With lecture notes being online, you could miss many lectures to focus on other courses and still understand the material well come test time. Tests are very doable, just do homework and study in-class examples. The final took a long time, but it is mostly a compilation of all previous tests.
Dr. Zabcic is an excellent professor who exudes compassion, charisma, and a clear desire for students to learn. He is by far the most entertaining and engaging math professor I have had at UGA, bar none. Dr. Zabcic can easily break down complex concepts into understandable material that many other students have struggled mightily with.
really chill guy the class was solely based on 3 exams and the final. he is rather lenient on grading since each exam is 4-5 questions. As long as you show that you know the process then even if the answer is completely wrong he will try and give you points. He is funny at times and you can tell he really enjoys the subject
I took Dr. Zabcic for MATH 2500 and MATH 2700 and he is one of my favorite professors at UGA. The only grades are three exams, but the exams are 5ish questions and very easy. He explains things very thoroughly and the exams are just like homework problems he provides.
posts detailed lecture notes to elc. three exams worth 20% each, final worth 40%. The exam questions are the same as the hw (not mandatory) but easier. make sure you can draw the graphs though he will take points off if they are sloppy. pretty chill and easy class otherwise, he is a caring professor
Best math prof I've ever had. I was nervous about how heavily weighted the tests are but they're near-exact replicas of HW problems. Explains very methodically and posts great lecture notes. He's a surprisingly funny and caring man. He doesn't hit as many topics as other profs (for those of you concerned with learning diff eq super thoroughly).
Zabcic is the goat math professor, period. He explains concepts so well and thoroughly, if you attend class or even just read his amazing lecture notes that he posts on ELC you will get a decent grade. Unfortunately, there are only 4 grades in this class! Slipping up one test is hard to recover from, and there are no corrections.
Prof. Zabcic's class is well-structured, with clear explanations and tests mirroring homework. Staying engaged and using resources like Unstuck ai can make this manageable course a breeze.
Zabcic is arguably the best Calc 3 teacher at UGA. He teaches the concepts amazingly and I can't recall ever being confused. Posts lecture notes on ELC as well but you should come to class. The 4 tests are just like the homework which is optional, but DO THEM and do them AGAIN for the comprehensive final. I could of made an A if I wasn't lazy.
He is kind and does a very good/thorough job of explaining everything. Attendance and homework are optional, but tests are pretty much exactly like the homework (so do it). He posts amazing lecture notes in elc. Only downside is the class is 100% based off of 3 tests and a cumulative final, so it is hard to recover from doing poorly on one.
The best Professor in the department, IMO. His lectures and notes are amazing. Just do the homework and tests will be a breeze. His grading is only made of tests and finals, though.
Zabcic is a great lecturer and does a great job at making difficult concepts easy. Biggest drawback is obviously that your grade is based solely on exams, but if you grind out the homework it should be light work. Oh, and make sure to use the pdf version of the openstax textbook.
Professor Zabcic (the goat) is a great Diff EQ professor. He posts his lectures online, and his tests are super straightforward. He does grade slightly harshly on tests, but the test material is pretty light, and if you go over the online lectures beforehand, you should be fine. You can skip his class, but he does get kind of mad about it.
GOATED TEACHER. He goes slowly step by step and is VERY good at explaining things in a way that makes sense. He systematically solves problems and if you go to class, follow along, and do the homework, you'll be chillin. Please take him!!! #BLAH
Lectures are very easy to follow and will make sure that everyone understands the concepts. Posts all the lecture notes online. The homework is optional and is from the textbook (Can be found online). Only graded by exams, but exams are of similar difficulty as the homework. Easy professor, highly recomend.
Great professor for math. Posts notes that are READABLE and makes the math look easy. Just show up to class and you will do well. Optional HW, tests are worth 100% of grade. Tests are also what you have learned in class / HW. Minimal to mid-studying required.
He is very clear about the class and if you do the homework as practice, you will probably get an A. His tests are just like the homework. He posts all of his lectures, so attendance is not mandatory, but he will publicly shame you if you do not go and if he likes you, he is more likely to curve your grade. Only three 20% tests and a 40% final.
Is blunt, but class is pretty easy. I didn't really go to class and relied on his online notes, which are also done very well, so I didn't do as well but you can easily make an A if you just go to class everyday and look through his lecture notes and do the problems.
Zab is arguably the best professor I've ever had. He has very clear lectures and spends plenty of time on examples. His tests look exactly like the homework and the questions are usually not too difficult at all. If you understand how to do the homework you will do amazing on the exams. Can't recommend Zab enough!!
He could genuinely teach calculus to a brick
DiffEq is a hard class but Dr.Z makes it incredibly easy to the point where you wonder how anyone can struggle. He's a bit of a tough grader but is usually quite fair. The class is only graded on 3 tests (20% each) and a final (40%) but he posts notes with homework (non-mandatory) that is useful for studying since he doesn't post any practice tests
He makes this class super simple. The homework is not for a grade so I just did all of it the week of the test to prepare for it. His tests are just like his in class examples and homework problems. The whole class is 3 tests and a final, but his tests are relatively easy with some practice. Definitely the best for diff eq.
