Easy class. But if you actually want to gain something from a nutrition class, don't take him. Uses a lot of powerpoints but they won't help you on the quizzes or midterm. Posts quizzes and midterm online. Pretty easy A if you take the time to look through the book.

Easy class, online weekly quizzes (open book) and one "Food Journal" project at end. Exam questions are taken from online quizzes. Very knowledgeable about material and material is interesting if you like nutrition. He's hard to understand sometimes as he has a thick Bulgarian accent. He is not a good professor at all. His accent is incomprehensible most of the time. He barely holds anyones attention. All quizzes are online, and that is really the only time you use the textbook. Be carful of this class and discussion posts. he expects these to be like mini essays even if already over his minimum required and have perfect sourcing. He will pegg you for plagiarism without a second thought. even when posting link to source . Not worth the hassle just pick a diff prof.

lots of workload, need to purchase Mc Graw Hill Connect, smart learn modules time consuming(2-3 hrs for 1 module), plus quizzes and nutrition assignments, most of the stuff you can find online and figure it out yourself, discussion rubric is strict, follow it if you want a good grade, midterm is nothing like the quizzes so do the midterm practice,

Professor Ivanov is a good man at heart, and does his best to teach the material that is necessary. However, it is difficult to cut through his accent at times, as he is not from the US. He overall, is your typical college professor, and if you pay attention with a medial amount of care, you will pass his course.

I did the online course for nutrition it went well. I feel I'm a diligent student so I'm able to get my work done regardless of difficulties. But for the professor it was very hard to communicate with him since I never saw him in person. He takes weeks to respond to a single email its almost useless. So try not to make a mistake cause it might stay

I took his nutrition class for my nursing major and he was tough. He has a strong accent which is fine it's just hard to understand at times. I studied for hours for his tests and my efforts did not show. I would not take this class again and I'm sorry to anyone who has to take it.

Ive taken him twice so far and it was pretty decent. Lectures can be dull, theres lots of hw due online, 2 exams over the semester, and a final project. The material itself is not difficult, if you stay on top of it, its a guaranteed A.

Save yourself the time and stress, do not take Ivanov's class. He is super unclear about all of the assignments he gives, and the assignments always take over 3 hours to complete. He "teaches" from a slideshow that doesn't make sense so be prepared to teach yourself. He is extremely rude to his students and doesn't care what they have to say.

He assigns a lot of work and requires weekly discussions. The work itself is easy but just very time-consuming (at least 3 hours per section). He's kind of hard to reach when asking questions. I wouldn't take it if you have trouble managing time and assignments.

Prof Ivanov isn't a bad teacher by any means. He does have a Slavic accent that makes it hard to understand him sometimes but if u pay attention you'll get it. Lots of hw that is easy but time consuming. Midterm and final usually will differ from hw still but based on the same content. Quizlet is your friend and read the textbook as much as u can

Prof Ivanov was a good teacher with a sense of humor. Though there was a lot (like a LOT) of homework for his class, all of the work was online so it was easy to get through, just time consuming. As long as you do all the online work and the occasional projects (you will have to record what you eat and the ingredients for one) you'll pass.

his lectures dont really matter too much because in order to do the homework you have to read the book anyway. its equals like 3 hours a week for the work but its all online, including all the test. no final and hes pretty chill.

"This teacher is by far one of the most ineffective instructors at UMB for teaching nursing students the fundamentals of nutrition. He's also incredibly difficult to understand and tends to go off-topic during lectures, making it even harder to learn the material.

Took nutrition online, and there are no video lectures or anything, just connects. They suck bc they literally take hours, but it's rewarding to get them all done. (set aside like 4 hrs a week at least for connects)Never seen him bc class is purely taught through textbook connects and quizzes. Just get everything in and you're good. No extensions
