Lots of information, but clear and concise lectures and tests. Gives a review of all tests the day before the actual test. Very enthusiastic. You can tell she likes her job.
Great teacher very helpful. She gives a reveiw before all test and tells you what to focus on before a quiz. You will pass the class if you are willing to study and read the book.
it is like being in first grade all over agian except this time you have to teach your self everything. she reads directly out of the book the entire time and rarly writes anything on the board. she also thinks she knows everything so doesn't ansr ?
She talks so fast you can't keep up with her.your so busy writing your not paying attention to what your writing.2 hours and nothing is explained well. Its like a race to see how fast you can write, your really writing from the book and not her knowledge.
Get the book and just highlight from it, she reads stuff right out of it. Don't try write down everything she says because you will just get stressed out because she talks so fast you will not be able to write fast enough to keep up.average teacher
She ridiculous! She talks so fast, you can't write what she says fast enough. She acts like she knows everything but really she's just reading directly out of the book.she gives quizzes every Monday. She makes students stressed out. She takes tests to serious
I fell this teacher is full of herself.the way she speaks to students is condescending, like she’s soooo much smarter and better then you.She should try speaking to students without the attitude.A teacher shouldn’t tell you to read the book when a student asks a question.Remember,we do pay money!
Better teacher then I expected...Many people say she is way too hard and to avoid taking her class,so now that I am now finished her class I really don't think she is as bad as people make her out to be. She can have a bit of an attitude with people sometimes, but overall her class is not that bad
she is a great teacher and so nice. i always loved going to her class. i dont know why people act like she is hard b/c unless you are stupid there is no way you should fail her class. before each test she pretty much tells you what you need to know for each question. i would reccomend her to anyone!
love her love her love her.. she is a challenge and i truly adore the fact that she expects so much out of us! honestly, would you rather get a teacher that propels you to exceed or just let you skate by? I feel i am going to be a better nurse for having had her as my teacher!
Very underrated teacher. She challenges her students. Her classes make it clear who is cut out for careers as medical professionals. Those that are complaining just couldn't step up to the challenge and will thankfully not be the future of who we depend on in the medical environment.
She doesn't help at all. I went to her 3 different times. She said if i did worse in my other classes maybe i could pass hers. Not helpful at all. Reads directly from the book and cant understand her writing at all. Do not take this class unless u can teach urself and even then its confusing
You spend the whole semester trying to figure out your grade and even on the last day, you have no idea where you stand. Final exam made no sense! Was suppose to be cumulative, but you would have thought it was covering only what was learned in January! She's not efficient at all!
I took her for 181 and Dr.Sullivan for 182,what a difference. After Sullivan,I now see that Mrs. Stemple acted like being at BCCC was interrupting her schedule.Keep your grades written down throughout otherwise u will be lost.Takes forever to get test grades back,2 weeks sometimes.Take Dr.Sullivan!
Terrible teacher-should not be allowed to teach- doesn't know how to teach-should go back to med. field-the 3 great comments she received were most likely precipitated by her-too much discrepancy from reality; doesn't follow objectives; didn't lecture 3 chapters-final was only on 3 or 4 concepts as opposed to all body-can't pronounce the med terms.
Great teacher! I went into this class by what others said and they were completely wrong. Gives extra credit on all exams. Test are not really that hard if you study the material. She gives you exam outlines and chapter outlines of what will be on the exams. I would recommend her.
She is very difficult but she does offer help. All you have to do is ask. She also notices effort. If you try really hard in her class she will help you pass.
Despite what people say about her, I liked her. I struggled a lot at first and asked her for help and she came in the day she didnt have classes to help me because its the only time I could make it. If you ask for help she wont leave you behind. She really knows her stuff. You have to be willing to work hard and you'll do well. I got a B+
Nice person , but rotten teacher. Loves to humilate students by announcing there grades to the class. 1 student was seriously ill , and made her attend class anyway. Talks too fast , does not answer questions. Not teaching material
Very difficult to follow during lecture. Inconsistent. Impressed with self.
She gives extra credit. She allows you an amazing amount of extra credit. First test was 24 points, only 10 were the actual quiz. That's 14 pts. extra credit. First exam had a possible 30 pts. extra credit.
I thought she was a wonderful teacher. She gave out a lot of extra credit - which I thought was very helpful! She really knows what she is talking about. She reallys knows what she is talking about.
Too quick. Too full of herself. Hard and unreasonable expectations.
Best teacher i ever had. Gives extra credit and if u have any questions all u have to do is talk to her and she will be veryyyyyyyyyyyyy halpful.....Just love her..........
Not teacher material is gifted , but not in theclass room. Should not be allowed to teach. Talks to fast. Annouces grades to the class , and has no regard for students. One woman was extremly ill. Hi temperature , vomiting . Her response was come to class or fail the test. Leave the room to go to rest room fail the test. Not a good prson or a teach

very helpful...best professor. if you want to learn something in A & P then take her only.
She is the best teacher I've ever had. She is always there to help on a personal level and especially for study tips. She gives mounds of extra credit on quizzes and exams. Best teacher I've ever had and I highly recommend her!
I do not recommend her. She is not clear about what will be on test. She makes you feel stupid if you ask a question. And she mispronounces "kinetichore", "myoglobin", and many other technical terms.
The comment below must be from a close minded person because she is a great teacher, and just because she mispronounces a word doesn't make her invalid. She is clear as to what is on her tests and does not make you feel stupid when you ask questions, SHE WANTS YOU TO ASK QUESTIONS. She knows her stuff and will help you every step of the way.
I Think she is a terrible teacher. She talks way to fast. She thinks she knows everything. Do not take this class, theres so much work , not even worth it. I would rather drive all the way down to the newtown campus then take her class. Thats how much I hate it
She is a useless self centered person. Never on time to class, but stresses on attendence. Embarasses people in front of the entire class for no reason at all. Would never trust her to train my dog yet teach a class anything. All and all a worthless human being. Do not take her. Not worth the hard work to get nothing in return.
I have a previous degree so I think I have a lot of experience with professors. Dr. Stemple is one of the best teachers I have had, even better than the professors I had at PSU. She is willing to help, offers plenty of extra credit,& her exams are fair. Those of you who rate her low should have tried harder, you might have learned more.
I had her for Boiology 2 and even though i did well in her class I think there were some topics she could have been clearer on. Her lectures were pretty boring because she doesn't involve the class at all and shee mispronounces a lot of words. She is a very nice person and is always willing to do her best to clarify anything and spend extra time
This professor is so far removed from the clinical area and it shows. She reads outlines that she made from the book from top to bottom. Boring lectures and does not engage the students. Annoyed by questions. Just read the whole book.... Shows slides of the book on the screen. Brags about how smart she is and her learning disabilities. TMI. States
Im a very fair judge of teachers, I understand that many irresponsible students blame everything on the teacher. DO NOT TAKE THIS ONE!I am a stellar student and slipped by because of ME, not her. If you are a great student you will barely make it. If you are an average student you will BOMB this class. She is horrible and dont care.

do not take her !!!! she will give you notes and make it seem like your going to do well until you get your test and every questions on there you cant understand you will fail
I agree. I got an A but it was because I taught myself the material. I spent on average 4 hours a day reading and studying. The college doesn't realize how bad her students do on exams because she offers extra credit to pass her students. My A was based on my exams but I know a lot of people passing b/c of the EC available. Please stay clear.
Buy the textbook early and study every word because she is going to expect you to know it. She tells you she will give a review for the test and then it is too vague to understand. Tests are HARD and include tons of diagrams but you won't be able to read them because her copier sucks. Do the extra credit it will help you pass.Or better still RUN!
I had her class last summer and I enjoyed it the most. I don't know why a lot of people don't like her. She is very smart, she makes you learn what you need to be in medical field. We even had a class that we couldn't understand something and she actually staged the whole thing that the most stupid could understand.
RUN! Unless you are going to school to be a PA. Read the whole book. She make everyone look stupid. Lower County should not even have that class there. Go to Newtown where there are body parts and skeletons and people who care that you learn. No one said she is not nice, just not realistic. You are invited to earth!!!
Her teaching style isn't the best. You need to read and re-read the chapters and the lab exercises. You are teaching yourself. Lectures are boring. She just reads from the outline and uses powerpoints out of the text which are useless. Good thing for extra credit, otherwise there would be a low pass rate. Everything was jammed in and there's no ap
I am not sure what everyone is talking about by not liking her! I LOVED her. I was so nervous going into A&P. Yet I could not be more happy with having her as a teacher. Yes A&P is going to be hard no matter what, but I felt that she pushed and challenged me to another level that will help me so much throughout nursing.Take her if you want to learn
She was okay. I can't say the class was incredibly interesting, but then again I'm not really that into science. She pretty personable and will help you if you're struggling. Her classes aren't a breeze, but if you end up taking her, you probably won't have regrets.
Great teacher. She is very helpful and will answer any questions you may have. She give out extra credit too. Make sure you read your text and study for the test. If you do that you will get a great grade. I would take her class again.
Prof.Heeney-Stemple is wonderful. She will help you in every way possible. So for people to say that you have to teach yourself, of course, that is what studying is! If you listen to the lectures, study, and ask for help then you will learn and pass the class. I took A&P 1&2 and it was hard but thankfully Prof. Heeney-Stemple guided me through.
Awesome prof. and very helpful. The material is hard so you will have to study hard, but prof.Heeney-Stemple will always be there to help you. I had her for both A&P 1&2. She is a GOD sent, I was BLESSED to have her as my prof. If you want to learn then take her. Please do not read those negative rates they are not truthful. I highly recommend her!
Prof. Heeney-Stemple is one of the best prof. I've ever had. She cares about her students! She always goes the extra mile to help us to understand the material.I love her!!!!!!!! Please take her class! She is wonderful! FYI please don't leave those kind of nasty comments they're very hurtful. The Prof. respect the students so please respect her.
Wonderful! She gives you to much info and only tests you on the small stuff. Tests are hard. Plenty of EC. Tells you when quizes are. Great teacher!
I took her A&P II course & came out of the course knowing more than I ever thought I'd learn. A lot of ExCr opportunities (not sure about regular semesters, I took the accelerated summer course). Reading the text is a must as well as attending all classes. A digital recorder is extremely helpful. Overall, I'd def take another class taught by her.
UGH! She is a very nice person but her lectures are painful, would have to go home and re read the chapter just for it to make sense. Her tests and quizes are sick! She sends out a review prior to the test I would spend hours doing it and when I got to the test NOTHING like what was on the review. She does give TONS of extra credit, thank goodness!
LOVE HER! class is hard but its a&p. she tells you everything that's going to be on the tests and quizzes. highly recommend her
If I told you that her class was easy, I would be lying. But it is a lot of material in a short amount of time. She is great and understanding. She is willing to help you if need be. She cares about her students and their future. If you are motivated and care about your future you will definitly get along with her.
Heeney Stemple is brillant!! The amount of information that is required to be covered is time consuming and heavy. Thankfully, she gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and is always there to help! Best professor I've ever had!
I took Professor Heeney-Stemple during the summer (online). The class is extremely challenging and time consuming. Despite this, she makes the class very doable and gives you lots of room to succeed; you exit the class with an abundance of knowledge. She gives out a lot of extra credit and she is always there to help and clarify any questions.
Difficult class, passionate and knowledgable professor, who is always honest about all aspects of the course.
smart teacher. Very helpful, very clear content. Outline lectures style which isn't for me, but I do recommend her class. Wish I could've had her for a&p 2
She is hard teacher but willing to help you succeed in any way possible. Worked my butt off but still got a good grade. She offers the opportunity for extra credit throughout the whole semester. Would recommend her to anyone. You will walk out there with more knowledge than you realized you learned. Like her a lot.
By all means, Professor Bee is very nice and cares for her students. However, her class is extremely difficult and confusing. I am an all A student and still had a difficult time understanding. If you do not have to take her, I wouldn't.
Turn back now! If you do not have to take this professor, I would recommend not. She is a nice person and helpful when you ask for it. However, this class was extremely tough for not being a bio major. The work is very time consuming, she expects you to know every little detail for each test. If it were not for the extra credit I would have failed.
you have to show up to class and put the work in. Good grades come with great work. She is passionate for medicine and is a genius.
Seems like she really knows her stuff. Tests are hard(multiple choice section) but if you study the essay parts and know what you're talking about she will give you extra credit. Many other extra credit points offered throughout the semester. Takes longer than I would like to return grades but overall a decent person. Ask for help and she will help
She is a tough teacher. She wants you to learn from her class and your expected to work hard. She gives lots of extra credit, always stays for extra help if you need it. her tests are ridiculous, but again the extra credit will get you through it. My semester started off horribly, but I passed with B+. Would take again.
You will have a "quiz" every other day that is based off of an 200 slide PowerPoint. Absolutely impossible to prepare for exams.
I would not take this class with this professor if you didn't have to. The quizzes and tests were nearly impossible for me. I've studied, had someone explain it and tutor it to me and nothing has worked. The weirdest grading system I've ever seen, and doesn't respond to you promptly. Grades from three weeks ago still aren't up.
DO NOT TAKE THIS ONLINE CLASS I do not attend Bucks, but I took this course trying to finish up some credits needed to graduate. She told us that there would be a lot of things to do for the class, which I always expect from classes. But this was just ridiculous, 3 quizzes a week plus an exam a week on 3 chapters at a time. don't do it
By all means, take the other warnings you read here seriously. I did not and I'm absolutely regretting it. The tests were absolutely insane. You are expected to memorize a ton of material, and in depth - not just high level concepts, you are expected to retain detailed, in depth knowledge of every singe concept outlined.
I'll say first off the tests in this class are hard like everyone said. They're not impossible though, you just have to study A LOT (I had to study literally every day). This class is not easy, you have to put in the work, but it is possible to get an A. Make sure you participate and do the labs and HW. If you follow the directions, she grades well
Exams come straight from the textbook manufacturer's test bank. After comparing exams with other students you will find that you and the person next to you have maybe 10-15 of the same questions out of around 40-50 questions. Exams do not fairly access knowledge and became open book just so people would pass. Spent minimal time in lab.
DO NOT TAKE HER BIOLOGY ONLINE COURSE! The exams are completely concept related and she DOES NOT teach you the concepts at all. She does not care that you are having a tough time. Her exam average is a 55. I am a 4.0 GPA student and I had to withdrawal from her class because I was failing every exam after studying for hours. Not a fair teacher.
Yes, this is a hard class. I personal think that it weeded out a lot of the kids that were not going to work hard for their degree. I spent hours a day on studying material for this course. There is no reason you should not be able to pass with at least a B in this course. She is understanding and wants you to succeed. Put the work in or get out.
Professor Heeney-Stemple is an amazing professor, very knowledgable in A&P. She really wants her students to be prepared for a career in healthcare. I took this class as a hybrid, but would have liked to have her lecture. But this is by far not an "easy A." You will need to study DAILY & put in the effort. Exams are tough, requires effort.
Disappointed as a teacher myself of 6th graders, same software, same exams used everywhere, no contact. Not even sure the teacher is a biology teacher : (
Seriously take everyone's advice and don't take her online BIO-101 class. Entirely way too much homework (I had to change my whole work schedule), you have to memorize the book none stop to pass the insane exams, not clear with emails, drops grades in the middle of the semester not end. She wasn't the best professor I had but not the worst.
Should of listened to the others, you must remember everything in every chapter if you want to pass.
I was retaking anatomy and physiology again because science is only good for 7 years, got a B the first time at main campus. Was at a B in class but missed an online quiz because it was out of order, explained this to the professor and response was that I better study hard for the test: dropped course, at monco now, does not work with you.
Made us learn multiple sections by ourselves including an entire chapter, gets off topic and talks about personal life too much, extremely indecisive, impossible test questions that made no sense, spent minimal time in the lab, does not respond to emails in a timely fashion even when we have an exam scheduled, class average for exams was a 50%.
Teacher had potential, but we had to learn so much by ourselves because she got off topic so easily and we did not spend adequate time in the lab as well. Some of her exam questions made no sense and none of us liked the exam pool idea. A lot of students barely scrapped by with a C and a few managed to get a B. Difficult professor.
Spent $1000 on a class, then the teacher makes us pay $300 for a SEPERATE online course (She did not make it. It's a seperate purchasable entity. Very lazy). She thinks people should spend 37 hours a week on her class (says so in the syllabus). That is not what 4 credit hours means (12 hours max per week). Glad she doesn't teach math.
Professor Heeney-Stemple would do best to not be a professor. Her lectures are dry and not worth attending, though attendance is somehow mandatory. I only did well in the class by reading the textbook. If there is any other professor, I would highly recommend taking them instead of Heeney-Stemple.
JUST DON'T. My advisor thought I needed this class which I didn't so I dropped with excitement. The tests are IMPOSSIBLE. She gives you a ridiculous study guide. None of it will be on the test, you're expected to know things she has never talked about. Labs and homework are easy. Tests are just humorous. The average of test grades were around 49%.
I really enjoyed having Heeney-Stemple as my professor! I felt that the lectures made it very clear in what to study and at breaking down the hard topics. Tests are fair, no curveballs. Be prepared to study outside of class, that is expected for any A&P course. She made the labs fun, if you participate you should be prepared for the lab practicals
I would for sure recommend professor Stemple. Many leave negative things on here, but you have to understand its the course that is tough, not her. She wants her students to be prepared for the real world. She helped me in so many ways she didn't have to, and is very accessible outside of class. Show up, study, ask questions and you'll be fine.
This professor was very helpful to me in earning one of my highest science grades Ive ever gotten.
I will preface this review by saying I did get a B in her class. However, I find that she is not suited to teaching and I learned nothing in her dry lectures. I spent about 2 hours EVERY DAY learning from the book in addition to going to her class. Would not recommend her at all, hope she leaves the college soon as she is not a good professor.
Great instruction. Helped out a lot outside of class. Very under rated. Just an awesome professor.
Nice, knowledgeable, and she works in the field. I found her refreshing as she is practice based and helped me apply the knowledge to real life scenarios which really locks it in. She is an inspiration to us who work in the health care field. you will read. you will learn! very fair and understanding. Great communication. Tests are a challenging.
Took this course fully online. Teacher is not super accessible, responds to emails within a few days. Labs are easy computer simulations. Answers for most of the questions on the quizzes on Chegg/Quizlet. Almost every exam question is from a quizlet. Lazy. Most don't realize that and fail. Study quizlets, people, not the textbook.
This class was online and required a lot of devotion and dedication. Professor Millicent Heeney Stemple was very supportive throughout the semester. Participation is up to you but it's important to get those points in to get your grade up. Quizzes and labs were easy but exams were more difficult and they were proctored.
It's not her teaching really-it's the material. Labs-EASY!, Exams-prepare to fail legit did better somehow when I didn't read two chapters. Discussions do all except one unless you do extra credit. She will work with you! I had something come up in our month class and she was AMAZING! She kept in constant contact with me and really helped me.
Definitely have to work for a good grade but honestly brings the best out of you
This class was absolutely awful. Its hard to tell if it was the professor or the material. The tests are failed by almost everyone in the class. The quizzes are open book which is nice but doesn't really help boost your grade since the tests are worth 66% of your grade and the quizzes/labs 11%. Awful class. Would never take it again
This Professor is tough but always offers help and is very dedicated to her profession. This class was all online so I have no idea how her lectures would be. But she is always available and willing to help. She responds almost immediately to emails.
I took this class fully online & in an accelerated format. Prof. H-S supplied PowerPoints, but pretty much all assessments, etc. were through McGraw-Hill Connect. Rating is based on the fact that the pace of the course was absurd, & that we were only notified that there wasn't a final 2 days before it was supposed to occur. Bad communication.
Assignments due for exam 2 material before taking exam 1. 50+ assignments, due on random days. No structure. Recent class exam avg was 44%. Her response? "Get tutoring!" All smartbook, 50 questions out of a bank of 140. Her review was super vague, not helpful. I got an A in A&P1 6 week accelerated, almost failed this exam. 8 week version. No thanks
Difficult material to learn, but after reaching out to Mrs. Heeney-Stemple, she was able to put me on the right path. I was able to learn how to study efficiently and obtain the information taught and needed for exams. Overall, very caring and will help you succeed!
I took A&P 1 and 2 with her honestly I wish I took her spring of 2022, she offers to get 2 major courses out of the way so u would focus on the rest of the corses. I wish I knew about her courses earlier!! There is lots of information to learn but that the nature of the class!! and obviously require lots of time and effort. She also helps if u need
I loved Dr. Stemple and I'm sad I couldn't take her for an in-person A&P2. She expects you to at least skim chapters in advance and loves class participation. It's a heavy workload, but she gives exam reviews that I found extremely helpful and she was always ready to answer questions. Tough but fair exams for the amount of info you have to learn.
I've taken A&P II accelerated online with Prof Heeney-Stemple, she was very helpful. Her coursework is heavy, so be ready to read and take good notes. Her tests mirror the study guides so make sure you are completing/understanding them. Overall, the class was pretty hard but put the work in & be committed. Also, do all extra credit!
I really enjoyed this class, gives many ways to help learn the material. Test are very straightforward, she gives you a review guide, go through them and answer the questions, they will help you with her test. Complete the exam wrappers it will help bring things full circle and they are extra credit. You will learn in this class.
This class was too much for a class that starts mid semester. Seven test, back to back and not enough days to study. Study guides were not true, tests are difficult and annoying. I dropped this class immediately after the first test. I took four courses this semester and this class has more tests than my other courses. Stay away from her!
She was great, she is understanding of outside issues (personal, work, family, etc). She is very knowledgeable about what she teaches in her class. She does give extra credit opportunities, PLEASE do them. Her class is very hard, but she does help you along the way. she took a long time to put final grades in
I absolutely loved prof heeney stemple! I got injured in the middle of the semester and she was great with accommodating my needs. Tests are super hard but study and DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!! I enjoyed this class and looking forward to taking BIO182 with her in the fall
Do not take her trust.
RUN. I am about to graduate in 3 weeks and i made a huge mistake taking this class. everthing everyone said who graded 1, is absolutely correct. She instead of realizing that everyone fails her tests because she doesnt teach, that you have to do more work in the form of extra credit- as if its your fault. IMPOSSIBLE.I hope i pass.
not accessible outside of class especially for an online course
This class can be challenging, but engaging with the professor's system and using helpful study tools like unstuck study can lead to success. The material is tough, but the professor cares and will guide you if you reach out.
Dr. H-S's class was great. Her class is hard (I mean it's A&P, so be prepared) however, she will help guide students along the way. She cares about her students and wants us to strive for excellence! The tests were very straightforward so be sure to study study study!
Professor Heeney-Stemple is the epitome of what professors should be. She is so kind and caring, and you can really tell. Always available to help within her office hours, and offers lots of extra credit. Most being ways to help you succeed in the future.
Dr Heeney-Stemple's class can be very tough. I advise READING the textbook, that is what she makes her exams based on. Her lectures are heavy, which can be a lot in three hours, so bring a snack and water. She truly wants you to pass, so make sure always to complete every exam wrapper, which adds points back onto your test.
I never write reviews on professors, but Prof. Heeney-Stemple absolutely deserves one. She is truly the most wonderful professor I have ever had. I took an accelerated, online A&P 2 course with her. I struggle with school usually, but Prof. Heeney-Stemple had made my entire experience amazing. I could not recommend her any more. She's excellent!!
The tests are way too heavily graded, 70% of the entire class grade? Insane. The tests are NOT reflective of the reading material in the slightest. Honestly don't even bother reading the book, it does not help. Use chegg, chatgpt, and quizlet. She is however very understanding of real life outside, and provides extra credit opportunities.
Dr. Heeney-Stemple was great. She wants her students to succeed and offers TONS of extra credit. DO IT ALL. She explains exactly how to do well in her class. I failed every single exam, cried a few times, and still got an A. The tests are hard and the material overlapped since it was an accelerated online course. Time management is crucial.
I took her A&P 1 & 2 online course; A&P are not easy classes, but if you do the work and stick with it, you can be successful in this course. There are plenty of opportunities for xtra credit and opportunities to learn from your mistakes. She is passionate about helping her students, but you can't just sit back and expect an easy "A."
