LOVES geography and seems very experienced.Is willing to help if you're willing to work.She's very friendly and down to earth. Her class is easy as long as you're willing to study before tests. No homework, only studying before tests! yay! Easy grade.

Explains things well, but tests are hard. Recycles tests. Test 2,3 and final have questions from previous tests. EXACT same questions. Very nice

Easiest teacher and class I have had in college so far. If you show up and take notes off of her powerpoint then you should do well in her class. Attendance does count toward your grade. Tests are easy, and on each test there are questions off the old test, so make sure you study those also

Honestly, Dr. Fearn could be one of the best professors at South. Unfortunately, that's not saying that she's one of the easiest. If you want an A or B in her class, your study skills will be put to the test. Study the lecture notes thoroughly! I can't stress that enough. Do that, you'll get an A or B.

She is ok but her tests are pretty hard. If you study and take good notes you might get an A. I dont like to study so I got a C. I dont know if there is an easier teacher but if you want easy tests this isnt the right person.

Dr. Fearn is an excellent professor. She goes much farther than most professors to help out her students. I can't believe anyone thinks her tests are hard. HA!

Dr Fearn is the most helpful professor on campus! Her tests are super easy, and she gives them all back. She is extremely accessible and VERY entertaining. How can you beat a professor who compares different atmospheric processes to organized crime? Fun and easy, you will also learn a ton from her. She is the best! TAKE HER CLASS!

Dr. Fearn is a great teacher. She really lectures to where you can understand the material. Her tests are difficult. But here is a tip study the lecture notes and if she gives a study guide fill it out. It makes a big difference

Class was interesting, and tests were hard. Even though I made an A, I had to study for those tests. Study guide will help if you do it. Takes attendance every class. Scales the tests sometimes also.

She is good at lecturing however she gives really hard tests that always need to be scaled.

Tests are hard...even though it's multiple choice...do the study guide and it's a little easier...She's great at explaining things in a way you can understand!

She's awesome and such a nice lady!! The only way you're going to think that her tests are difficult is if you're lazy and don't study. She repeats questions on later tests, so those are "gimme" answers. I earned a high A in both of these classes. She puts her lecture material on her website. I HIGHLY recommend her!!!!

The material is important and she wants us to learn and know it not just memorize it. So she makes it easy to understand. If you are confussed just ask her questions, she is very nice.

Dr. Fearn is very interesting. She expects you to kow all the material and tests on it. She gives great study guides and she makes the class interesting.

only problem with Dr. Fearn was when she made us watch "Inconvient Truth". She normally will list the day's lesson well in advance, but the day she showed that movie was the day we should have gotten our test back,&did not post that the movie would be shown instead,everyone showed up to get their test&got the stupid movie instead. She is a good teacher. she is very easy to understand, i didnt know anything going in, i understood everythig. and did ok on the tests. STUDY the study guides and you'll breese through.

Very helpful! Tests are a little difficult but she gives you the opportunity to make bettter grades by giving you questions from your last tests!

Good teacher, very thorough, likes what she teaches. Tests are a bit hard, but a lot can be made up by studying the old tests. Come to class and you have a good chance of passing.

Geo 101- I spent more time studying for fearns test that all 3 of my other classes combined. She not easy, and she will force you to learn your information. That is if you want to pass her class.

Took her for Geo 102 and also Geo 400 something (writing course). Dr. Fearn is an excellent instructor - she is great at explaining things thoroughly. The Geo 102 class was almost high-school level. Come to class, pay attention, use your study guide, and you should make an A every time. There we students who actually failed her class...HOW??

Dr. Fearn was very interesting! She knows her stuff! Quizzes were taken daily based on a review sheet. Doing this helped me stay up to date on the material taught.

The best class I have ever took in USA, she knows her subject wery well, very clear and helpfull. Don't miss the class and study rewiw sheets you will make an A.

Great class. She makes something that I didn't find interesting tolerable. She is very clear and consise and her test follow her power points. I never had to ask her for help because she was so clear with her notes but she seemed very willing if someone had an issue.

Does Powerpoints (available online) in auditorium class. She puts effort into her presentations and tries to keep you interested. Fairly easy tests come from study guides. Generally, no homework. She definitely knows her stuff though. Take her if you can.

This teacher is really cool and so intresting! You actually LEARN things! AND she even encourages her students to do this rating because she know she is golden when it comes to her students likeing her and her class.

I thought she was extremely boring. The lecture is on power point, which are available online. However attendance is mandatory. Her tests can be tricky. She gives study guides but you still have to read over all the power points bc the study guide does not cover it all. I suggest Dr. Sebastian over her!

All online notes, easy to study for exams. Just go to class and you get an automatic A for attendance. Very cool professor, I really enjoyed her class.

This was such an easy class. Anyone that says everyone did poorly is wrong. Don't buy a book, if you do, you're retarted and don't know how to study. Sleep in class and go over slides before test=A easily. Don't take notes, just sign in everyday and use the slides to answer the review questions. I had a 100 going into the final, i slept in class

I took her for atmospheric processes, you take four tests and you have to know the material, but on each test she has material from the previous ones. A lecture class. Not hard,, just go to class and understand the material and you can pass, I made a B

Fearn's lectures are very clear and interesting, thanks to her interactive slideshows. You know exactly what to study based on the study guide, but make sure you don't just know the quick answer to the study guide questions. If you can make yourself study, this will be an easy class.

I made an A. Do not buy the textbook, you will not use it at all. Tests come from her powerpoint slides. Attendance is 10% of your final grade, so show up. She gives a review in class, answer those questions and you'll be fine. It's not that hard. Go to the student led review the night before the test and you'll do even better. An A is attainable

Great instructor, knows what she's talking about but can dumb it down for students. Don't bother purchasing the book unless you really want to. Her lectures are the source for the tests so it's best to come to class, but if you can't make it, the slides are available on her website.

Her test can be tricky, so you must know your material, and go to class everyday! If you study and attend class, an A is easy to obtain!

If you do the study guide alone, you can easily grab a B. And then she always scales the final grade so that the class average is 75% Plus, you actually learn stuff.

Very good teacher, is very enthusiastic about what she teaches. She puts all her slides online and her lectures just supplement what is on the slides. She gives a study guide before each exam and helps with any questions you don't know. Definitely recommend her! Oh and don't buy a book it is pointless!

Dr. Fearn, is a great teacher... she is funny and makes the class interesting. While not the easiest class, she does make an effort to make sure all material is understood... gives study guides.. but study it carefully.. the questions on the test are a bit tricky.

Dr. Fearn is a WONDERFUL prof. She explains things in detail and uses real-life examples alongside. Her tests are m. choice. She only lectures by p.point and her tests CAN be hard, but study the p.points and attend the study sessions and you SHOULD be fine. Her exams are "recycled" so all exams have 10 q's from prev. exams on them. Awesome class!

Dr. Fearn is a great professor. No textbook used. Print out slides, take notes, and you will do fine. Quizzes may be tricky sometimes, though. Took her in summer term II. Questions from quizzes are on exams as well.

Had her in the summer and loved her class. Daily quizzes are pretty easy and the tests are just all the quizzes together. Very interested in her subject and goofy at times. Never even opened the book. Would love to take her again.

book is NOT required. come to class to take notes. takes attendance everyday. gives tons of bonus pts on each test without participation. study guide is given but study notes bc it does not cover everything that will be on the test. go to study sessions for study guide answers. boring but easy class.

Very straightforward class. No book needed since all the information comes from slides that you print out prior to each class. No quizzes during spring or fall semesters, only tests and attendance count towards your grade. She gives study guides and a whole class period dedicated to studying the guide. As long as you attend class, you're good!

The textbook is barely ever used because all of her lectures are on powerpoint and that's what's on the test. She makes material available on her website. She's a very easy teacher and she actually made the class interesting. I highly recommend her!

Easy class to take. A quiz is given about once every two weeks, attendence is a grade there are about 4 group proects throughout the semester. Mrs. Fearn is very helpful if you have any questions. I would recommend this class, you just have to attend.

Teaches with great enthusiasm and clearly loves her subject. If she does the team learning thing again I would not take her class as some of her grading on group projects was more than questionable. Great lecture teacher though. Tests were easy. The quizzes were difficult because she gave vague details in lecture and expected specifics on quizzes.

She is a great professor but the team learning based class is garbage. 50% of my grade counts from my team preforming well. Most of them either didn't show up for activities or test, or participated in the activities. If it changes from that would be good class. Study for test and pay attention how the questions are worded. She will trick you

This is my second time taking her and I like how she lectures. It is a lecture class so if you are easily distracted and can't take good notes than don't take her but she knows her stuff. She is a wonderful professor. Her tests are hard if you don't study but the review before the test is very helpful. DO THE STUDY GUIDES!

Professor Fearn tries really hard to make lectures interesting. She did group work a lot and tried to make it all fun.. She gives little quizzes and grades so it's not all based on tests. Study for her tests though, you can't wing them. Meetings aren't required but they are helpful to your grade.

Boring lectures but she gives study guides and posts all the power points online which are put directly on her tests. Every test is comprehensive (test 2 has questions from test 1, test 3 had questions from test 1 and 2)
