Does not speak english well, speeds through material with little explaination,. always uses hardest probelms on tests which were not taught in class.
Knows the material, but isn't that good at explaining things. I found the lectures hard to follow, and I rarely understood the response to my questions.
I took her for Math 30 in the summer and she broke it all down. She is a itsy bit impatient-sometimes. However, she is willing to help and explains well. Then, the following semester in FAll 04 I took her form math 100 and I dropped it because she went to fast.
Goes way too fast. Her impatience seems to stem from frustration with her students who (naturally) don't pick it up as fast as she does. She does make herself available during office hours... but explanations are generally given at warp-speed then as well. *Very* nice person.
She teaches straight from teh book but clarifies teh steps and is good wiht the examples. Yea, she has an accent but its not bad. helpful if u need it and tests are taken from hw assignments she gives and examples she gives on the board. read the example probs in the books and the hw, and ull be ok
Woman teaches at the speed of light. She will do certain things without giving details to how she got to that. Prepare for a lot of notes. Doesn't prepare classes for tests.
Shes not bad, can be a little unclear at times but doesnt assign hw. Her tests were based on examples taken from class and from the book. Has an accent but is not a bad teacher. Some knowledge of subject would greatly help you however.
Very good teacher. Does not assign homeworks. Tests are based on what she teaches in the class. Take her.
Overall, half of her students drop out. Sometimes she can be helpful, sometimes not. Her accent was very annoying. Class isn't bad if you actually work hard. Wasn't easy. Test was ok. Her personality isn't bad and she's nice sometimes. But find a better teacher.
Accent is annoying. Most of her students drop out. Class isn't hard if you work for it. Doesn't give out extra credit. Drop two lowest assignments. She's nice. Helpful sometimes. But overall the class was ok if it wasn't hard. But math is a hard subject.
No QUIZ, NO DAILY HW. Everything based on test and the hw that she hands out every other week and you have a week to do 5 problems. All the notes you need are in the daily handout. U might have to add some stuff to it but thats it If you are good at cramming, this class should be easy. But if you suck at it and lazy at the same time you will fai
The class speed is pretty fast. Usually a lesson a day, although she does give you handouts that have examples which were helpful. Hw not checked, tests are okay, if you study. It's up to you to keep up with it - she will not baby you. Office hours are helpful as well.
she teaches way too fast and theres alot of cramming if u take the class only 2 days a week. i advise you to take another professor if possible. she has an accent so it makes it a bit hard to understand.
horrible, doesn't teach you anything, moved way too quickly

not a very good teacher for calculus... She teaches way too fast and can cover up to two chapters in one 1 hour class period which gets very confusing. Grades homework like they're tests, and overloads you. Not so great for calculus
She teaches fast WHEN she's covering review topics, otherwise she goes at a good speed. She definitely knows her stuff. You could ask her anything about math and she'll give you a thorough explaination, though she might make you feel stupid for asking questions. Still, I highly recommend taking her, she prepares you well for the tests.
great teacher, teaches fast, but that is because there's so much info to cover. do your HW regularly and you'll be fine. she only makes you practice what she tests on. if you're not a good student and dont like disciplined work, then dont bother.

If you want to take Trig. She will be the best to choose, because you do not to touch the book and still do well on her test. She gives out handouts every class, and from there, you know what to study and focus on.
I FAILED HER CLASS BUT CAME TO REALIZE THAT IT WAS MY OWN FAULT. SHE GIVES U WORK SHEETS TO WORK ON N THE TESTS R SIMILAR TO THEM. ALSO DO THE PRACTICE HW IN THE TEXT EVEN THO IT'S NOT MANDATORY. NO MATTER WHAT DO NOT TAKE NELSENADORK!! EVEN IF IT'LL FIT UR SCHEDULE BETTER, IT'LL ONLY BE A WASTE OF TIME! WORST TEACHER OF ALL TIME IS HIM! TAKE ZENG
Not that helpful, very little practice, just moves lesson 2 lesson. If you don't pick up on math really fast, don't take her
Bad Teacher. She had an thick accent and kept calling things something else so she confuses things. She expects you to know what shes teaching your already. And gives random daily test in the beginning of class. homework is optional but if you don't do it, you'll fail the class. you get an assignment once a week or so and they are pretty hard.
She teaches at lightning speed, but she still makes it understandable. She'll give you random 1 or 2 question minute quizzes every now and then, but they're easy enough as long as you paid attention that day. Pretty much, all you have to do to pass is pay attention! Homework is optional, but I suggest you do it to do well on tests and assignments.
tooooooo fast.
Moves fast, but homework sheets are very close to test questions. If not clear on any questions, ask her and she will answer. Read the section that you will be working on before lecture, and it will help clarify the lecture for the day. Doing the homework is necessary, nay, essential for success! Have now taken her for two classes, going for three.
Shes a good teacher. She does have her chinese accent, but its no big deal. She explains thing clearly, although sometimes she goes pretty fast. Shes easy too. You'll have daily quizzes but its extremely easy like kids' stuff. I found her somewhat cute and funny.
She knows what she is doing super well and is very organized. Always willing to help with a smile on her face. Not too hard, but sometimes goes a little bit too fast on new material. This is the right professor if you like math.
I hated how long trig class was; like 2 and half hours. She is pretty cool teacher though. I got D's on my first 3 tests, hella studied for 4th test, got an A on it and my average in the class was almost B-! Daily quizzes are free points so its worth it to stay and also learn the new material. Good teacher overall.
Smartest math professor at CRC. She has a PHD, and she is a real math pro. Moves pretty quick but if you stay on top of it, its actually a fun class and not too hard, manageable. The accent is not that horrible, but she is very helpful and clear. Quizzes are super easy, final is a bit challenge but its ok. Highly recomend to a real math student.
Awesome!
very organized, great mathematician.
She is really good teacher. She knows what she is teaching and is very helpful. She has a fast pace but is easy to understand. If you are organized you don't have to worry, otherwise learn to be organized. She grades every HW and all the problems. She is really nice too!!! If you need extra help she has mathlab hours. I higly recommend you take her
Overall, I would consider her a great teacher. She is very knowledgible, warm, and easy to speak to if you are lost in class. I will take her again, anyday. Albeit, she is a little boring, but still i learnt more in this class than my previous math teacher, even though I got a C. Yes, She is a great teacher if you want to be very skill in math and
She may be a bit tough to some who can't focus well with lectures. If you can however, you won't even need homework as her lectures are very clear. You will also be fairly well prepared to move on. Basically, if you fail, it's entirely your fault.
She is a great teacher but when you take the final exams, she uses the hardest problems. The HW questions are easy but nothing compared to the test questions.
Awesome math teacher. She explains material very well and clearly. She talks down to you and makes me you look stupid unintentionally, but does it to make you better at math over time. Take this class if you want to understand math better.
She is okay...Shes not hard but I dont really like her teaching cuz its kinda hard to understand. She makes the problem more complicated than what it suppose to be. Homework is online and theres a lots. SHes boring overall.
she is great! so help ful spends alot of time explaining problems if you need it. and shes really goffy which makes class fun
She is horrible DO NOT TAKE HER. she doesn't explain math good at all. When you ask a question she doesn't even answer it she says "It's easy" and makes it harder that it is. STAY AWAY believe me.
Worst teacher I ever had. I could not understand what she was saying, and she passes out the notes for what she is going to go through that day. This completely through me off, because it never seemed like she was on target, and I got more confused keeping track of handouts.
Apparently teachers dont care that students are TRYING. She still failed me even tho I showed up to her dull class, asked for help, got and A on majority of quizes (theres 2 quizes EVERYday by the way) and bought that stupid expensive online hw crap. I do not reccomend her at all!!! She goes over things way too fast and its hard to understand her.
She seriously ruined my life. she set me back an entire semester!!! DO NOT TAKE HER! She doesn't care that students are trying and just trying to get out of COMMUNITY COLLEGE. geeze. there is only one midterm and one final.. IMPOSSIBLE to remember 4 chapters at a time without review and then she throws the hardest questions on the exams.
no doubt nice prof., but raters are consistents, she is super fast,i think it is difficult for aver joe students to do well. she breeze quickly through, unless youre good in math or just for enrichment, not my type of teaching style, disorangized syllabus, and penmanship. i been in college long enough to know a well taught prof or not. not recom.
She is hard to understand, very fast pace. I don't recommend her to people who don't like high pace and wants to go their own pace. She does not explain things clearly. If you like high pace math and go fast you can try to take her class.
Quizzes every class meeting (will drop a couple)--4 Exams inlcuding Final (replaces one exam score w/ final score)--no hmwk. Horrible teaching style, clarity=none. Basically stands in front of class and talks to herself. Good Luck!
I'm looking forward to the day this woman retires. She is not fluent in english, mutters to herself throughout the whole class, quizzes daily sometimes twice. Not helpful even when one asks for help, does not care if the entire class doesnt understand the material. She does not listen. 3 exams, 1 final, hmwk not required but reccom.
She is one of the best math teachers at CRC. Her accent is not bad as people is saying here. It's true that she goes fast but that's because she assumes that people already know algebra which is a prerequisite. It's not her fault if people take the class without being ready. Highly recommended teacher. Very helpful
In her math 100 right now,she is a nice teacher but she is boring, she is ESL so you cannot understand her!!! She is not a teacher, bc she does not even explain new concepts, she just moves on from chapter to chaper even though the majority of the class is lost. Even though she nice, i would not take her again. But homework is easy.tests are hard
Very good teacher. She does move fast, but only on things you should already know. Constantly reviews subject matter as you transition into harder concepts. She is also very funny. Highly recommended for those with a decent grasp of math.
She does move a little fast but she's not a bad teacher. It takes a while to get used to her way of teaching. You don't have to purchase a book but you have to buy mymathlab which is like 75 bucks
Some people complains about her accent but I can understand her perfectly fine. Her test questions are basically what you learned in class, no trick questions. She goes over her stuff and make sure everyone is on the same subject.
She was THE worst math teacher I've ever had. I used to like math before her class (and was a straight-A student). Her teaching style was to provide sample problems and then explain the solutions. If you needed clarification, she simply explained it again the exact same way. She didn't go over the homework. She ran behind schedule all of the time.
If you get used to her accent, then she's fairly good. She can teach but it might not be clear the first time so you might have to go for a bit of outside help. The best part of her class was that she allows you to use a sheet of paper on the tests with just formulas. Even then, the tests are still fairly challenging if you havent studied. In s
Horrible teacher!NEVER take any of her classes! After constantly going to her office hours (makes you feel stupid when going to office hours). and basically living in the math center i felt as if i wasted my time. Her grading is absolutely horrible! missed 3 out of 24 prob and got a D on the test! She doesnt clearly show her steps.
NEVER take any of her classes! After constantly going to her office hours (makes you feel stupid when going to office hours)and basically living in the math center i felt as if i wasted my time. Her grading is absolutely horrible! missed 3 out of 24 prob and got a D on the test! She doesnt clearly show her steps.*SHE HATES REPEATING HERSELF*
If show her that you're working hard and willing to do good in class, she will really help you. EVEN OUT SIDE THE OFFICE HOURS. Yes, her she has an accent but you can totally understand her. Talk to her if you have problem; she will listen you guide you through it. I would recommend her.
She seems really intelligent, but you have to remember that she's been doing those same problems for years so when you give her a difficult problem off guard she won't be able to give you a confident answer. No one really pays attention when she's lecturing because it's obvious that no one knows what's going on. Doable class to get a A-B
Professor Zeng loves what she teaches. Just for that, she is a great teacher. Other than that- she is fair and helpful.
She was very disorgaized with the notes. She rushes all the lessons and does not explain them clearly. She didn't seem to welcome any questions. If you don't understand, she isn't helpful. She assumes everyone knows it already. I didn't feel like she cared about about how her students were doing. I felt terrible taking her class.
She was great, I loved everything about her class, gives plenty of sample tests and releases the solutions after every test so you can use them to study for the final, Just don't miss class, You can get soo far behind really fast,
Taking Calc with Zeng was easy. Her tests weren't very difficult at all, but her teaching isn't great either. Compared to other calc classes, it was good though. Just do lots of hw problems. She even let us use a notecard on the tests, and hw was collected a week after she finished a section
Her quizes are really easy but her test's are hard She can't teach good at all I would recommend a different teacher
Professor is very nice approachable. She allows to use one note card in exams but the lectures were too fast for me. If your not good at math, than good luck! But she is very helpful. If you work hard, you can definitely get a good grade.
I just can not understand why she does powerpoint lectures straight from the book. I'm 2 weeks into her class and I feel like I'm reading straight from the book. Can be very confusing.
Doesn't bring her own book. Does PowerPoint lectures that is the examples from the book. Gives a test on a certain chapter and then gives a quiz on the same material a week later. Explanations can be confusing. I would only advise to take this teacher if you're very self motivated and can keep up with everything. Very low class participation.
If you're looking for an easy teacher, do not take her. She's very strict and expects you to know everything already. You must do the most to pass with just a C... Yes, C's are okay but still, take an easier teacher to put you out of the stress!
Quizzes are open note. She allows 1 pg notes on exams, 2 pg notes on final. Quizzes straight from homework, 20% of your grade. First 4 exams not too hard: around 10-12 people would get A's. Last exam only 2 got A's. Key to success is homework: do every problem correctly. Office hours: she is helpful & lets you use the solution manual to check work.
She does have an accent but it's not the worse I have ever heard. Also, she may not be good at explaining the book but she is lenient when it comes to grading. She drops lowest 3 quizzes and replaces the lowest exam with the midterm or the Final depending on when the lowest exam was. With her grading policy my grade jumped up 9% with the Final.
With her you will pass for sure if you are hardworking and also she helps students alot
I had a 104% in homework and a 97% in quizzes and ended up with a c in the class. You have to watch her from the first day of class as she obviously has her own personal ideas on who should succeed. Stay on top of her. Still lives with her parents so very stubborn and unforgiving
She does have an accent but it's not the worse. If you take her class make sure you need to all the homework, and come to class every day. I learn a lot in her class.
Professor Zeng is super nice and she'll help you if you ask. Frankly, the class isn't hard, if you wanna pass it's all about the homework. Quizzes and tests are all based off of the homework. So do it. And she does drop some quizzes and makes your final exam replace your lowest test score.
Really hard to understand sometimes.
Just an awesome professor, she is pretty nice. Quizzes/ Tests/ Final are come from homework on WebAssign. And the best things are she would drop several lowest quizs and replace the lowest test (if the Final is better). The only problem is her accent. Sometimes, it's hard to understand; then her office hours is the chance to master it.
In high school, I had never paid attention in any math class, resulting in me having to take algebra in college. Trust me, I hated math in high school, and I still do. is clear and concise and gives examples straight from the book. I thought she taught very well. Made me actually learn math for once. Great professor. Put in the work, though.
I hated math all of my life until I took this class and realized I had just been bored to death by other instructors. Her passion for math somehow rubbed off on me. You can show up and ask questions to her or the math leader at the math center. Homework is nearly daily but is fair and studying a good chunk of time will easily prepare you for tests.
She has a Chinese accent, but her English is very good. Homework not mandatory. Allows notes on exams and quizzes. Some extra credit. Had a hard time keeping up with her because she worked so quickly, but when I asked her to slow down she would go back to the step I was on and wait for me to catch up: squeaky wheel gets the grease, so to speak.
hw is the main part of this course, her quizzes and test also have 1 additional problem that is not on webassign. So if you do hw and review them, u'll get 80-90% or better. Good luck :))
It's difficult to keep up with her most of the time, because she often goes to the next step without writing out how she got there which is challenging for visual learners. Homework is a necessity to do good on the tests, because she doesn't teach anything close to everything that's on webassign. Study seshs outside of class are very helpful.
Zeng is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. The workload is not too bad. There is homework with each lecture, but it is not due until five days later (plus you get extra credit for doing it early) and it goes over things that she couldn't cover in class, so do the homework and you'll be fine. Her lectures are easy to follow. Good professor
Professor Zeng is a great choice for math! She goes through the problems step by step and really cares that you get it. She is willing to break down problems for you if you dont understand it. She is there for you to succeed!
I love this professor, she is ltrly the best. She is so funny, and that makes this class more enjoyable. You should do fine on the exams if you do every odd and even problems in the assigned section for the exams.
Her lectures can be fast paced and she doesn't slow down unless you ask. Her quizzes and test are fair but you must do extra problems in the book to be prepared. Her final exam wasn't very fair. You will not do well on the final unless you have a deep understanding of the material. Some questions were difficult very difficult and worded strangely.
Had to pay $100 for a website, we do our hw on that website and it is not convenient cuz u have to type in the answer the way it wants, if you use other ways to express your answer it will mark u wrong. U only got 5 chances btw, she doesnt go over the hw you gotta go after class to find out why wouldn't the website mark ur answer correct.
Her class is very unorganized but her test grading seems to be fair. Homework is online and you have to pay 100 bucks for webassign. I personally wouldnt take her again cus i cant really understand her lectures half the time cus her accent, but the class is def passable
DO NOT TAKE!!!
Heavy accent, sometimes hard to understand. Goes too fast. Expects you to know everything. Not enough examples. Can meet outside of class for help, although some cant make times due to classes + work. Online textbook, no need to pay. Grades tests/quizzes only. Doesnt grade work herself. Snippy if you dont understand a concept.
Very hard class because of her accent and teaching style. I do think she cares about her students but is very boring. Always got As in math and worked very hard but Im not sure if Im going to pass.
I took Math 420 with her for the first time. She's very caring about her students, and she is pretty chill compare to other Calculus professors that I had. She made my life so much easier while the other one made me life hell. You have to do homework to do well in exams, but her exams are not so hard compared to other calculus classes.
Shes the best math professor on campus. I took her for 120 Last semester and passed with a very good grade easily! The tests and quizzes match the HW... I will definitely take her again.
1.) Grade consist of 4 exams, 1 final & quizzes from HW. 2.) NO NOTES ON EXAM, ONLY FINAL. 3.) IMO, Her exams are hard. Our class is roughly an hour and she'll give us 10 questions. If I had more time or less question, they'd be fine. 4.) She uses herself as a reference gauge the difficulty of the exam; we're students, she's a professor.. Nuff said
She's a really nice professor and teaches well. The tests were heavily weighted, but they weren't too hard. She doesn't try to trick you on the exams and is pretty straightforward. The final was cumulative but you could use a formula sheet.
It's been a pleasure being in her class. She encourages ?s & informs u of CRC STEM events. She's enthusiastic & energetic about math. Tests r worth 60%, 3 total. Quizzes & cumulative final r worth 20%. Final exam score replaces worst test score. 2 worst quizzes r dropped. 8.5" by 11" formula sheet, both sides are allowed on final. Sign up 4 her.
She's great! I took this class online, and there was a lot of homework, both online and paper. Only the online was graded, but I used the paper homework to study. There is either a quiz or test every week. If you keep up with the hw and study, you should be fine. I took advantage of her office hours as well. Would def take again!
She's very nice to her students and has great lectures. Don't listen to people who complain about her accent it's not bad at all. Her class isn't easy but it's manageable if you do your homework. Weekly quizzes, chapterly tests. No midterm but final exam is 20% of grade.
Professor Zheng was really nice, enthusiastic and encouraging. The exams were a little tough but fair. She was a good lecturer and explained concepts well. She definitely made calculus a lot easier to pick up.
Her Accent is very heavy and the lectures are long. She is also a tough grader.
I took Zeng for MATH 402 as well, so this will be a review for both. She's a solid choice for a math professor. Her lecture notes and the homework assignments she gives reflect her quizzes and tests well. She has a weekly quiz for topics learned from the previous week. A specific tip for DE is to go through the paper homework assignments. Amazing!
I am taking professor Zeng for Stat100 online. Her lectures are easy to follow along to. The system she uses for homework assignments and labs is great and it allows us to go back and practice questions similar to the test.
Great professor. Took Stat300 and passed it with an A. Will take her again
After taking Professor Zeng for a semester, I was hired as her SI Tutor for Stat 300. This is my review of her Stat 300 class. She is a great person, she is very generous and knows her stuff. Considering she teaches about ten forms of math subjects. There is a total of six exams that are not hard and no quizzes. Just do your job as a student.
As someone who despises any form of math or just numbers in general, professor zeng made it so much easier and enjoyable! Finished my first semester of college w her and i really appreciated the late passes she gave, how well she explained things (like i literally understand and enjoy stats now which is unbelievable to me) and how sweet she was!
Zeng is a great professor who has very concise, understandable lectures. If you complete your homework, attend lectures, and put in the effort to study, you can pass the class. Her homework reflects her quizzes and exams, so study the homework thoroughly. I would highly recommend her for any math class since she makes the concepts very clear.
Professor Zeng is very knowledgeable, kind, and accessible outside of class. There were 5 tests which make up 50% of your grade, but the questions are similar to the homework and notes. She grades pretty fair and provides a lot of partial credit. Make sure you try on the quizzes even though they are not worth much, they are opportunities to learn!
Professor Zeng is a great professor and always makes sure that her students have all the things they need to become successful. The entire lab time is basically like a big tutoring/homework session so if you ever need help there's plenty of time both in and out of class to get it. She lets you use notecards for the tests & final so make good ones.
Professor Zeng is so kind! She makes sure all her students are well prepared and would help them if they ask. She records her class lectures and labs so attendance isn't mandatory. I do recommend actually going to zoom classes because sometimes she forgets to record when we're doing labs. She is very soft spoken and very supporting.
Professor Zeng is a great teacher. Her teaching method is easy to understand, and she is incredibly helpful to anyone confused about the material. I'd recommend taking her courses if you struggle with math like I do. Although, one minor annoyance is that she splits Zoom recordings, which is slightly bothersome.
Her class was very well structured, and even if you miss online meeting times, you'll still be able to understand the material, as she provides recordings of the lectures and labs. The material was easy to understand, and exams even easier. Was pretty easy to get a 100 in the class. One of the best professors I've had so far.
She is a great teacher, the most organized professor ive had. Perfectly designed the length of lecture every week, so it's not too long to drive you crazy. Quiz every week but looks just like the hw, so does the exams. So, do your hw and you will pass. For those who give her a super low review and complain about her accent, haha, mean and dum.
Took Prof. Zeng for MATH420 during the Fall 24 semester. Incredible professor who wants you to succeed in a pretty difficult class. Grade made up of 30% weekly quizzes based on the homework, 60% is 3 exams and 20% cumulative final. Lowest test score can be replaced by the final, full page front and back formula sheet allowed on final. Take her.
Professor Zeng was amazing during the semester I had taken Stat 300. She is super friendly, caring, understanding, and engaging. She does assign one homework assignment per lecture, which can be completed during lab time. The exams are quite simple as long as you complete the exam reviews and take good notes!
Professor Zeng makes stats engaging and understandable. Lectures are well-structured, and recordings are available if you miss a class. With the help of unstuckstudy and a generous late policy, getting an A is very doable.
Great Professor! She sets you up for success; her lectures/labs are recorded for you if you happen to miss a class & also gives late passes! Stats is hard, but if you do the work and keep up, you will do well. Tests are a scary 40% of your grade, but the reviews she provides are very helpful for preparing for them. 100% would take her again!
She gives an assignment during class that's due before the end. She is very helpful and will answer all questions, no matter now stupid it may feel. She wants you to pass and she appreciates when you talk to her. Material can be hard, but show up and she will work you through it. She's very kind guys, don't be mean to her.
I passed with a A but the class was a rollercoaster of emotions. There were times where I wanted to drop the course and change my whole major because the prof just wasn't no help, had to use chatgpt to understand the lab/hw. professor gets mad very easily if she has to repeat. A very stubborn professor and a heavy accent. overall out of 10, 5.6/10.
I took Dr. Min Zeng for two different math classes, and she was great in both. Math is hard, period but I feel like she explained things clearly and walked me through the steps when I didn't understand something. She's always available if you need help, and the homework isn't overwhelming. Overall, I actually enjoyed math with Professor Zeng.
A sweet professor. I took the synchronous class online and met on zoom 2x a week for lecture and lab. Lab was due at the end of class and was VERY manageable. She uses my open lab and it requires exact answers. Uses desmos heavily. She doesn't require u to send any work for "proof". The exams (5) were proctored, she just made us turn our camera on.
Professor Zeng is a good stats teacher. She always is available to help you out if you're stuck on something. Lectures are easy, and the lab time is basically just time to do the homework. She encourages collaboration on assignments, which makes the work fun and easier. She allows a notecard on the tests, which is always super nice.
I took this professor last semester and she was great! Attendance is mandatory, which I didn't realize when I signed up, but the lectures were easy to understand and lab time was mostly used for homework. Stat is hard, but if you do the work it'll be hard to fail this class.
