Mrs. Thompson is an awsome teacher. She is very helpful and knows her stuff. If you go to class and make an effort to write well you will get a good grade. I am taking her for ENGL 1302

MT is awesome! You don't have to due a TON of studying. Read the material, print out the quiz (for reference), watch the videos, take the quiz later (easy easy) & ENJOY your essays. When you enjoy writing them, she enjoys reading them & as long as you have followed the guidelines she gives you, you'll do great. I have an A+.

Ms. Thompson is extremely easy if you enjoy english. I took her online and you only have 4 essays and 4 quizzes that are easy if you study the book. If you attend the seminars you receive extra points towards you essay. Seminars are very informative and she's very passionate and done to earth!! You would really love her!!

Took her ITV course. Really helpful and grades easily. She cares about her students and gets excited about teaching them. Quizzes are word for word from the book and you can even use the print preview ahead of time. Takes a while to respond to emails but not longer than 2 days. Id recommend her to anyone.

Amazing teacher. I took the ITV Coarse. If you come to the seminars, she will bend over backwards to help you however she can, not to mention that she gives extra credit for going. Only 4 Quizzes and 4 Essays for this class so you only have 8 grades for the semester. As long as you go to the seminars and do the work you will do great in this class

Excellent teacher. Helpful, friendly, understandable, very fun, everything you'd want to see in a teacher. She has occasional homework assignments every 2 weeks or so, but is relatively easy, I have an A in her class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I'd recommend it if you're going for an A or a B. Superb teacher, I highly recommend her.

She is an absolutely great teacher, only gives four essays a semester, which is critical to your grade. You miss one and automatically fail. Fast email response, easy quizzes. I didnt really use the book but still managed to make at least a high B.

Thompson is great! This class has a lot of busy work but all homework and quizzes are open book open note. Some are even take home quizzes. If you write a paper that is college level you will get an A. She will help you with anything you need and she wants you to do well however, you do have to make an effort. Highly recommend her.

I never liked English prior to this class. MT brought out the writer in me! There is alot if homework and you do have to put in the effort. She is very helpful, and if you are willing to do the work, you will do well in her class.

I thought she was going to be great based on all these comments, but I think she's just alright. I don't think she's all that nice...I'm actually a little scared of her. Makes you do a lot of group work, so if you're not into that, try someone else.

Thompson is an awesome professor. I am taking her online ITV class and she is very clear with instructions and responds quickly. Only 4 essays, 4 test that are open book, and some homework on MYCOMPLAB which is very easy but a little time consuming. I would highgly recommend you take her for CompI, especially if you plan to take it online.

I took ITV, and she is very helpful when you attend the seminars (3 extra points per each seminar). 1st essay - you have to go to TCC testing center, and handwrite, but the rest of essays (3 more) are to be submitted online. 4 quizes (open book). MyComplab for grammer grading. Easy A if you make an effort. Very flexable, understanding teacher!

Quizzes are easy.My comps are time consuming but helps.Essays are OK although I feel like she grades them too hard for a freshman class.I've never made anything below an A on my papers-at the worst a B + I have a writing job yet I've been getting low grades in the class along w/snarky grading comments.Wouldn't take her again,took a punch @ my GPA.

She is a great teacher, very nice, helpful and fun. She allows late work with a penalty and I will do almost anything to help you. If you show up and do your work it's hard NOT to get an A. I saw someone say she grades hard, I do not know why, I think she grades easy. Great class, taking her for comp 2 next semester.

Awesome teacher. Easy A--especially if you attend her monthly seminar (5 pts on next paper). Crystal clear instructions, and even if you don't understand the assignment at first, she answers her emails lightening fast. Loved this class. Took this class hoping for a GPA booster, and got just that. Will be taking her for Comp II.

Took her for comp 1 and comp 2 - she is great! Very helpful and fun, gives extra credit, always available for you. You couldn't ask for a better English prof.

I used to hate writing and English, but she makes English fun. She is always available and willing to help. My writing improved a lot by taking her for both Comp I and II. I got A's in both of her classes and I highly recommend this professor.

I took her for Comp 1 and Comp 2. She is an amazing teacher and will help you with anything! I recommend her to everyone, take her. I enjoyed going to her class. She bumped up my grade for me too, when I was so close to a B. Grades easy, I love her.

I took Ms. Thompson's online english comp I class, there was a lot of homework but that is to be expected of an online class in my opinion. Whenever I had a question and emailed her she was always fast in responding and very helpful. The class was overall easy.

Her online class was easy and fun. She has a simple review and if you study it you will be okay with her tests. Her papers are fairly simple. She doesn't always post grades right away but if you email her she will tell you what your grade is.

Online class - Many reading and essay assignments. 7 tests, 4 major essays, and a couple short "themed" essays. 1 research paper. At first the class seemed overwhelming with all the assignments. Just keep up! Professor grades "easy" for a 2nd college english course. Professor takes late work and ended up canceling several assignments!

I love her! I took both comp 1 & 2 with her online. Comp 1 was great! Comp 2 was more challenging, as it should be. She is very nice and will work with you. Gives extra credit and hints for going to her seminars. Great teacher!

This class is not what I would call an "Easy A", but you if you are in college to learn, then you will benefit from this teacher. She is extremely helpful and if you put in the effort, your grade will reflect that. I worked very hard to get the A that I did. She is fair and fun to have as a teacher. This professor grades very easily and gives TONS of opportunity for extra credit. I took her ITV course and she was very helpful, and answered questions usually within the hour. Awesome! Made a very high A very easily.

*ONLINE* Great lesson plan, fun assignments and EXTRA CREDIT SEMINARS. You can earn 5 points at each one to go on your major papers. There was so much opportunity to get EC.Love how she grades.There is alot to do on Google+ which is my single complaint.

Mina was amazing!! She was extremely helpful and gave tons of opportunity for extra credit. She gave a list of all work to be completed on a separate website in the first week and you had all semester to complete. Will take her again for 1302.

Mrs. Thompson is an amazing teacher! She is not only kind and understanding, but she makes the class interesting and fun. She is passionate about literature, and is very helpful in assisting each student in finding composition topics that interest the individual. I highly recommend taking her class!

I took Her Eng. Comp I class to fulfill course requirements. I took her Eng. Comp II class because I enjoyed the first one so much! She is a fabulous teacher. Kind, considerate, and understanding. She loves teaching and she truly cares that her students do well. She posts every assignment on blackboard and includes easy and detailed directions.

Awesome teacher. It takes a bit to get papers back, but she has A LOT of papers to read. I'd rather wait & get an accurate review of my work than have her just glance over it so I can get it back quicker. Has some problems with classroom management. Class talks so much she has to shout over them, that's why they didn't know how to do annotated bib.

Mrs. Thompson is a sweetheart! She understands that students have other time commitments outside of the classroom (work, family, other classes, etc) and she will work with you to ensure your success. She occasionally gives extra credit opportunities as well, like for attending a TCC concert and writing a small review. Just take her class! Easy A!

The best professor ever for this course. She understands students like if she is his or her friend. She really cares and helps student to be successful if one really wants to. It's an easy A class if you do your work and turn it in on time. Take her if you can! English is not an easy subject for me but she made it fun, understandable, and easy.

Pros: Not much reading required, assignments are easy but sometimes lengthy, no busy work, offers extra credit, gives feedback, most grades are completion grades, accepts late work w limits, assignment requirements are clear. Cons: Super late grader, doesn't provide a course organizer so becomes confusing to figure out what's due & when.

I love Mrs. Thompson! She made me want to come to class. She is funny and is truly a teacher that cares about her students. I am older and have had many teachers, but she is one of the best. Do your work and come to class and she will help you succeed! I wanted to write this before I received my grade to be fair.

I seriously cannot sing this professors praises enough. I absolutely adore her. I strongly recommend using her office hours. She will help you and make you laugh out loud. Amazing! Do it. Textbook used just for quizzes.

Loved her class, she's super sweet and easy going. If you have missing assignments she gives you until the end of the term to give them to her. She rocks! Plus there isn't a final only a group project!

Mina Thompson is excellent in communication. Eveytime I email her with a question, she responds frequently and really answers your question.

She does have a few "mini-essays", group work, a group presentation, & a larger paper towards the end of the class. But she gives lots of chances to raise your grade if you're struggling. She cares about your grade in her class and participation is key. I actually learned way more in her class than any other English class I have had before.

Professor Thompson is a really nice lady. She takes forever to grade things and can go on tangents that take up half the class, but she's really sweet. Her class is pretty easy and she's always available to help you with your papers and give you pointers. If you have to take an English class, take it with her.

Prof Thompson is one of my favorite teachers ever. She lectures with PP slides and also give in class assignment, quizzes online and papers. She's slow to grade, is a little unorganized, but that just comes with the territory. She is an English teacher after all. She's a very cool and down to earth person. Love her!

She is not hard at all, she loves to make silly comments and cares for you. Just do your work and you'll be fine. She enjoys giving you the chance to express yourself in your writing.

Pros: Super chill, understands what its like to be a college kid, if you will be late to a class give her a heads up and youll be fine, no tests or final & shes very personable and funny. Cons: Disorganized (has never lost any of my papers) but she is scatterbrained, not clear about assignments & due dates.

She takes a while to grade things, she didn't post grades till the last day of class and midnight. Other than that, the work wasn't hard. Just make sure you're detailed and read your readings. The quizzes are super hard, MAKE SURE TO READ!!!

Mrs. Thompson is very laid back and takes her time grading so if that bothers you, dont take her. Personally, I loved her way of teaching so I took her for Eng 1301 & 1302. Make sure you turn in things electronically because she just keeps assignments in open file folders on her desk. As long as you like to joke around youll love her class.

I took Professor Thompson for Comp. 1&2. She is an amazing professor who truly cares about her students! Her classes are a blast and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone! She will help you as much as she can, you just need to talk to her! She also gives you all the resources you need in order to succeed. Wonderful professor overall! Love her!

Theres quite a plethora of papers you have to type, but they are mostly discussions. Essay papers are usually about the assigned papers that were in the discussion which was quite simple and easy. Quizzes are also about the stories that you have read from the PDFs she assigns you to read.

LOTS OF WORK. Gives feedback on almost every assignment. Allows you to re-do major grades. Professor Thompson teaches a great course and is very understanding and involved with her class. There is an assignment due almost everyday in the online summer class, but even with a job you can get it done.

First I had to create PowerPoints for a major grade in an English course. Very unique.

there will be a lot of homeworks to do. there were no exams just papers and daily bb homeworks to do. final was preparing a powerpoint. Its tough if you dont do homeworks. He accepts late works, kind of disorganized and grades stuff too late. The best thing about her was that he lets you make up for your mistake and submit it again.

I took Professor Thompson for both 1301 and 1302. She is kind of unorganized and takes awhile to grade papers. She cracks me up, she's one of those teachers with a lot of stories that don't really pertain to the subject. Overall, a very sweet lady who gives good feedback and is clear on the requirements for getting a good grade!

Mis Mina was the best professor i work with in Tarrant County. I took her for English Composition 1301 and 1302. This class is about literature so a lot of essay paper to do but her class is very amazing. There is no book to pay. she is very carry as a professor. She is good and respectable. I would take care definitely again. Awesome professor.

The only real issue is how long it takes to receive feedback and grades written assignments. Eight weeks into the semester I still hadn't received a single grade for anything that wasn't a quiz.

Mrs. Thompson is an incredible professor! She's so excited to teach and she loves to tell you hilarious stories. This is a composition class so there was a lot of writing, duh, but she also does group work. There were no tests, she uses the papers and creative projects as her "tests" in the class. Oh, and PARTICIPATE in group projects, please!!!

Professor Thompson was truly amazing! There was a lot of reading involved in this course, but the materials were thought provoking and very interesting. This is not a blow off course, and it is very homework heavy. The feedback was great, it allowed me to see where my writing was strong and where it needed work. I highly recommend this course.

She takes the time to teach you, and she teaches in such a way that it is very easy to understand. Fair warning, there is a bit of work involved. But as long as you talk to her, she explains everything very easily. TAKE HER!

Amazing professor. Took her for an online summer course and she is very understanding that summer courses work load can be difficult because its a semesters worth of work in one month. There were 3 essays, 2 sets of notes per week, and discussion boards. She is super kind and understanding highly recommend!

By far one of the best professors Ive had. Shes kind, offers extra credit, and replies to all my emails. She constantly pushes us to do our best, but also makes learning fun!

Prof Thompson was wonderful. It is English Comp-there is a lot of work. However, she grades more than fair and gives great feedback. She wants you to succeed and does not get hung up on typical commas etc to make sure you understand what you are doing. Take her! You won't regret it.

She's a very nice and caring teacher. There is a lot of writing assignments such as two multi-modals, discussion boards, class notes on twelve short stories, thesis assignment and quizzes on short stories. She gives step-by-step instructions for big assignments. Let her look over your essay before you submit it to avoid losing points.

Not going to lie.. Professor Thompson has a lot of work laid out for this course. HOWEVER, she is completely humble and super understanding when it comes to students having enough time to complete the workload. She is straight forward, the workload is a lot but it is NOT hard. Easy grader. Very understanding professor who also offers extra credit.

Thompson is a great English teacher. Her assignments aren't too difficult as long as you put in the effort and she is forgiving when it comes to late assignments. She also replies to emails fairly quickly. The final is an essay that I thought was pretty easy.

Ms. Thompson is the greatest teacher. If you want to show up and make an A not going to happen! The work load is heavy but all organized. I work a full-time job and took 15 hours this semester. It is possible to pass her class just do the work and ask questions. Extra credit is offered and she does take late work.

Professor Thompson is willing to work with you if you show effort! There are 4 major essays but they are not hard if you read the instructions. She is a little disorganized, but other than that, she is an amazing professor.

She does not give the usual lectures during class, but all the information you need is posted on Canvas. She does not care if you chat or work on assignments in class as long as you are not too loud. She gives many assignments but gives you a week after the due date to turn them in. The downside is that she is not easily accessible outside class.

There is a lot of discussion boards. You need to read a lot of short stories. She gives great feedback on assignments and works with her students. Overall class was fairly easy.

By far the nicest Professor I have had yet. She responded quickly and always wanted to help. She was super understanding towards extension requests, even during finals. Not the easiest grader, and not the fastest either, but those things seemed small in light of all her benefits. I highly recommend her.

she is the best teacher at TCC. TAKE HER FOR COMP 1!!!! She is very laid back and the class is basically self-paced. Very funny and sweet too. I have heard she might be different for comp 2 though.

As long as you do your work, even if it's late, you will pass. There is a decent amount of reading and discussion boards that can be overwhelming at times. She doesn't grade strictly and is easy to access outside of class.

Prof. Thompson can be demanding, but her class is manageable with consistent effort. The workload is heavy, but using unstuckstudy and the free textbook helps. Overall, a solid choice for Comp 1.

Very clear on what is expected on assignments, and she is very lax on grading. She does push back assignments frequently and takes a long time to grade. She is very easily accessible outside of class, she tends to stay after class and she has frequent office hours, answering emails and phone calls in a very timely manner.
