She's pretty cool.She doesnt make the class boring, she tries to keep everyone awake. But, she does give a lot of notes.

She is very good, tells you what you need to know to prepare a speech, i have now right now, i would definetly recommend her, TAKE HER  if you need this class, you will learn a lot. It is very easy

Mindy is amazing! I definitely didn't want to drag my but to a class on a Saturday morning, but this professor does an excellent job at keeping the material interesting. Speeches are well layed out in an easy to follow format and tests are normally take-home format. She is also very helpful!

She's the best teacher ever. I dreaded the speech class because everyone said that speech would be hard, but after being in her class, i LOVE it. She's EC friendly, and she's an extremely nice teacher. As long as you take the notes, you'll pass easily

Ms. Peck is a great teacher that knows how to make a boring subject interesting! She does not count off if you have to miss class however she does count for percipitation! I would reccomand her if you need this class... I has helped me in my professional life in more than one way!.... Choose her.

She is very nice and understanding. Spells out to the letter how the speechs are supposed to go. No homework besides research.

VERY good teacher! I've learned SO much in this class! I have definitely improved in my speaking, and have learned alot. She tries very hard to make class interesting. and uses several examples so that what she is teaching seems more applicable. Very easy class, and very FUN class! Definitely take her if you can!

This class was nice. Mindy made the class interesting. She has a story for every topic. Notes are very imperitive. She gives exams for a speech class, which doesn't help with giving a speech. But the class is interesting.

This teacher is FANTASTIC. She made each class period interesting. She will go above and beyond to help you with your speech. If you follow your guidelines, you should make an A. There are 2 tests. Just review your notes and you'll do fine. If you have a fear of public speaking, this is the teacher for you.

This professor is very nice and interesting. this class is mostly taking notes, 3 speeches, 2 test, and other simple assignments such as a resume and cover letter. she is not the easiest grader, so i wouldnt say this is a easy A class. but maybe a easy B

Great Lady, very passionate. Do as she says and you should get an A. First take home test was very comprehensive, so start early and leave nothing to the imagination. My first test grade was an 86, highest in class. The final test was much easier 96. The course was an easy A for me, but I have no problem speaking to a crowd. I give Mindy TWO THUMBS

Professor Peck is awesome! Every class is hilarious. She's really nice and will do anything to help you. Speeches follow a strict outline but aren't too difficult to do as long as you practice. There are two written tests that are difficult, though, so pay attention and take notes, and you'll do great; speeches matter more for the grade anyway.

Just make sure to study in advance for her test as they are very comprehensive and the highest grade for the test in our class was a very low B. Other than that this class is easy.Mindy really brings out the best in everyone who attends her class and is also very entertaining! Loved the class and passed with a high B average.

At first I dreaded the thought of taking public speaking, but this class was exactly what i needed. I have definitely become a better public speaker, thanks to Ms. Peck. She makes the class fun, answers questions, & gives helpful feedback to all speeches. I would recommend this class to the people seeking to become better public speakers.

She has a really nice speaking voice and makes her classes fun and interesting. Tests are a bit harder but if you study there shouldn't be a problem. It was one of my favorite classes!

A very entertaining class. Her lectures make it easier to go to class. She's very funny but also a great prof. She teaches you not only the subject but skills you can use in ur professional/personal life. Not an easy A, but definately An easy B.

Ms. Peck makes her lectures interesting.She was very funny. Her tests were VERY hard to understand. The class overall was great but it was a lot of work. She is really bad at getting back to you on emails so make sure you email her asap if you need an answer or help.

Excellent teacher. She understands that speech is not for everyone. She teaches around the concept that it is "ok to be nervous." Ms. Mindy is the teacher for you if speech is a class that you dread taking.

She's my favorite teacher so far...hillarious!! Her grading scale is very fare and if you follow directions (which a lot of people don't) then you should make a B minimum. You don't have to present very well to make an A.She's awesome and I wish I could take her again! I gave you a chili pepper too Professor Peck just in case you read this lol!!

Ms. Mindy does not expect you to be perfect, but at least wants to see you put forth the effort. She is a good professor, willing to help in every aspect possible. So if you are willing to come to class, participate, try your best, you can receive an "A" like I did.

She is very funny. Not really hard. The speeches are fun since for the most part, you pick the topic. Although beware if you have her first thing in the morning because she is late 99% of the time.

She explains everything thoroughly and tells you exactly what she wants on speeches. Stay within the time limit on speeches and dress nicely (business casual) on speech days! The midterm and final exams were hard; you have to actually think, but they don't account for much of the grade. Put in the effort, don't be lazy, and you will do just fine.

Her rambling will give you a headache. All she does is talk and give constant criticism no matter how well you do. Exams ha! Good luck. They will be completely picked apart and no one gets an A on those. Not the worst teacher here but def not the best. Do not buy the book you will not use it.

So far Prof Peck has impressed me more than any teacher at FSCJ. She challenges you to be your best and raise the bar on what you can do!

Professor Peck is the best professor on Kent Campus and she is the best looking woman there hands down. I love her class very high energy and she is funny as hell. If I could I would take her for my whole time I was in college if I could. Want to have fun in class take her best ever.

She's super funny. I'm taking her accelerated summer course and YES: it is rushed, but if you follow the syllabus RELIGIOUSLY you won't fall behind. She helps on speeches and only gave us 2 exams.

Mindy was a great teacher. She was very helpful and always kept you on your toes. She loves to laugh and make her students laugh so there is never a boring moment in her class. The work is like college work, but it is easy if you stick to the syllbus. Loved this class and want antoher one of hers!

Mindy is an awesome teacher. I was really nervous about taking a speech class but Mindy made it fun. You can't jut coast in this class. Work is required but with good time management it's an easy A.

Mindy is a great speech professor! Very enthusiastic and funny; You'll definitely enjoy this class. However, she does ramble alot and her tests are pretty anal, but overall the class is fairly easy as long as you do the work. Oh, Don't buy the book. You will NOT use it. Like at all. Just buy the program; it comes with an ebook.

She is awsome, this was a speech business class and I thought that I was going to hate it, but the way prof peck teaches makes it entertaining and fun. Loved her and would take her again

Prof. Peck is not a hard teacher to get along with. She gives you a formula that she expects you to use for your speeches. Follow the formula and you get an A. Yes, it is a little stiff and awkward, but it is easy to do. She hands you the A, all you have to do is FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! The only complaint I have is that we did not use the book at all.

Despite the reviews I have taken her twice. I received a B both times due to attendance and homework but the class is good. She is very helpful and knows her stuff. The speeches are not hard as far as work is concerned because she gives you all you need plus feedback just more anxiety with students. Loved the class. Only 2 test including final.

Peck is the coolest professor I have had in my three semesters at FSCJ. She tells you exactly what she expects and will help you with anything along the way. She makes the class fun and is very personable with everyone.

This class was very informative. I learned a lot about what goes into the art of public speaking. The biggest problems that I had with this class were the two tests. They are passable if you download the study guides from her website and answer the questions on the study guide instead of taking notes and study. 23 of the class failed 1st test.

In order to get an A in this class you will need to: 1. Download the study guides for the tests and answer the study guide questions instead of taking notes, saves you time, 2. Follow the directions on how to do the speech, 3. Study for the tests from the study guide. If you don't you will not get an A. 23 of the class failed the tests. Just Sayin

There are 4 speeches, 2 tests, and homework. She grades hard but if you follow HER guidelines in your presentation speeches you will be good there. You will need to print out the study guides and answer the questions while she is lecturing in order to get the answers she wants. If you don't have the answers she gives in class you will fail. Study!!

Take notes - good notes. And sometimes if things get tough, she gives you the notes. I did have to use the book to go back and find things but if I had only asked, she would have made it easier. She's funny and warm. NOT a typical professor. She's young and has tons of energy. If she tells you "this will be on the test", it will.

Prof. M is one of the funniest women I have ever met. She is a straight forward tell it like it is person. She has more facial expressions than I've ever seen. She is warm, kind and still expects her students to do their work. The classroom is safe and filled with other students that are caring and supportive. TAKE THIS CLASS! Prof. M Rocks!

An awesome professor. Loves what she does, is extremely knowledgeable, and very high energy. Tests were extremely difficult! Make sure to use the study guide and actually study. The speeches weren't too bad, as long as you follow the guidelines you'll pass them. Definitely makes you work for your grade but still a great class.

If you love sarcasm then this is your class. Mindy is really funny and a great professor. Her grading is kinda hard and even if you feel that you answered correctly, then think again. There were 3 speeches and she doesn't take off if you are nervous. FOLLOW HER OUTLINE AND ALL HER INSTRUCTIONS. Cool and fun class, but can be a little stressful.

solid prof. who will teach you alot about business communication. grades really tough on the speeches and presentations. be sure to follow the rubric and use all the resources she provides like the example papers, and example powerpoints and you will be ok. with a little more effort i could have got an A. dont take if you slack and expect easy A

She is amazing. There is never a dull moment in this class. Work is minimal, and you rarely turn it in. Tests are online and at home. She sometimes gets a little off topic, but is quick to get back on topic. She is an amazing lecturer and it is obvious that she loves what she does. I highly recommend.

I took her for my speech class and it was easy. Only four speeches throughout the whole semester and only two exams. If you have anxiety about public speaking, she is sympathetic. Very little homework, but heavy on the lectures. As long as you take good notes, you'll do well on the exams.

I loved mindy peck she was a great professor. She was strict with her grading but you knew exactly what she wanted and if you followed the outline perfectly then you got an A. She's really funny too. Tells stories from her personal life that tie into what we are talking about. We had a textbook but the more important thing was the access code.

Professor Mindy clearly cares about your success. She is funny, always fare and will expect you to do your work. Class is mostly lectures so take notes! You really don't need to buy the book you just need the code. You will have individual speeches and group speeches, tests on the modules and two overall tests. All work besides speeches are on BB.

Professor Mindy is an amazing teacher. She's funny, easygoing,and extremely energetic. She is one of those teachers who makes her lectures easy to understand. She has samples of each outline for each speech so all you have to do is follow directions and you will deliver great speeches and earn an A in the class. It is hard to fail her class.

She's very informative and thats what I liked most about her. The key to passing is simply by following her instructions. TAKE THE NOTES!!! It made test 2 a breeze. I wanted to say Easy A but she's a "tough grader". I'd love to take her again if it were a nonverbal course.

I love professor Peck! She is amazing and funny. The class itself was easy but Peck grades tough follow her outlines and you will do fine. Participation matters because its worth your final grade. 3 Speeches (Intro, Informative, and Group) wasn't that bad. You gotta do the work to pass! I would recommend this class for others.

She's very anal about her instructions and outlines. You MUST follow the directions if you want to do well. She pushes you because she cares. 7 week class consisted of 4 speeches, 2 tests, and connect modules. Extra credit was offered once. There was 1 group speech.

Professor Mindy really does want to help and she cares about her students. She is a tough grader but it is because she wants you to do your best. She is a great communicator, responds quickly to emails, and is a genuinely nice and amazing person. Not an easy A, you have to put in the work. Highly recommended

Mrs. Mindy is by far one of favorite professors I have EVER had! She makes her lectures really fun so that you stay engaged the entire time she is speaking. She gives you enough time and guidelines in order for you to be successful on speech day! If you show up to class, follow the rubrics and PRACTICE your speech, you'll get an A!

This is my second time taking a class taught by Mrs. Mindy. She is an EXCELLENT prof and literally gives you enough feedback in order to earn an A in her class! She is a lecture style professor BUT she LOVES participation! If you want an A in her class, just participate in lecture, follow her directions EXACTLY and be on time & practice your speech

We had to record speeches in front of own audience to submit them which I found easier than in class. Will work with you if you need it, she is very nice and grades her speeches fairly and will even provide examples for almost everything you do in the class. Works on honesty policy for online tests, didnt require textbook. Easy A if you try

Professor Peck is very particular about what she expects on every assignment, down to exact templates for outlines. However, if you follow what she says, you will pass. She is a tough grader, but all of her feedback is perfectly valid. Public speaking can be difficult, but she is encouraging. I enjoyed the class more than I thought I would.

Even though it is online you are expected to give a speech in front of 5 people and film it 3 or 4 times in the class. Prof Peck though is awesome. She gives opportunities for extra credit and she gives great feedback on how to improve. She is also understanding as long as you have a valid excuse. Not a fan of the class but I'm a fan of Prof Peck.

Oh I love Professor Peck so much! She's so sweet, funny and very understanding. We had two essays that were pretty simple. All tests and quizzes are online and the quizzes are open book. We had 3 speeches, 2 being group ones and her feedback was very helpful. Her class was chill and her attitude toward others is immaculate.

I see a lot of bad reviews about her and while I understand where they are coming from her class wasn't that bad. She was a harsh grader for speeches but if you did what she told you to you'll be fine. Pus the tests are super easy and she does have extra credit if you need it.

Why negative ratings? She is awesome! Gave lots of feedback. Did they not read her feedback? I have anxiety and ADHD and she made me feel better by being open about her experiences. Does go over a little in the live online sometimes but does not penalize for leaving. Grades tough but everything is provided and helps in any way if you talk to her.

Best. Professor. Ever. Gives tons of feedback. Follow directions and you're good. Will sit with you to help understand. Supports if you have anxiety. I dropped her class before because of my anxiety. Glad I came back. Give lots of examples and templates and study guides to help. Not as hard as you think. Ended up being a fun class.

I am a Early College Junior, this class was okay. I was pretty nervous coming in and doing the speeches, but she made sure everyone understood her grading and that it was okay to be nervous during the speeches. She's really funny and polite and doesn't grade as harshly as someone else might grade. She made sure everyone felt comfortable!

quizzes/exams were extremely easy, especially if you payed attention in class. almost consist of common sense questions. She does talk for a while sometimes but her stories are usually pretty interesting. The class overall was pretty easy, she gave feedback in detail but my only critique is that she can be passive aggressive sometimes.
