Oh my god, his tests are so hard!! 60% of the grade is from the in class essay and its really hard. the rest of the 40% is multiple choice test but it isnt easy either. How can you get better than C in his class

BEWARE! He gave me a "C" when I knew I had a "B" for the course. He refused to let me see his grade sheet so I petitioned for a grade change and won. I highly recommend recording all your points if you take his course. Bad professor

Dont take him. I ended up with a high C which was one of the highest grades in the class. Ask him a question and he gets mad. His mutiple choice is confusing and he repeats the same thing class after class.Study 4-5 hours for an exam and u will get a C

Econ is not difficult. What's difficult is trying to understand WHAT this teacher wants. He's scattered-brained, and only has organized thoughts that make sense to him. Our entire class is having issues. His tests are VERY hard; mult choice worse because he's unclear with what he's looking for.

There is no point in buying the book he doesn't use it... his tests are really hard and he doesn't give clear lectures.. Don't take him!!!

If you want to get at least a B, please do your self a favor and don't take this teacher. He is very unclear. He changes rules everyday. If you have any questions, he will mock you. He thinks that one person geting an A in his class is oaky for him. He will not help you at all!!

Wow.. i have never had problems like this with any teacher. Very uninteresting, very hard to work with. Will stay after class, but will spend most of it making you feel worthless. ANY teacher is better, TRUST ME. I've taken then class since and wound up with an A!!

I do NOT recommend anyone taking his class. He is very unclear and confusing. I took Keskinels class for Econ 1 after and it made me realize how much I didnt learn anything in Inouye's class.

Seriously? This guys was terrible AVOID AT ALL COSTS. He talked without teaching- unwilling to give help and made you feel dumb for asking. This guy is one of the most boring people teachers i ever had. It was a struggle in Econ but thats only half the fight. The other part is staying awake while listening to the drone. Bring a tape recorder and a pillow. So you dont miss the lecture and you dont leave any marks on your face when you fall asleep..

His class was so boring, when he did show up. He skipped class so many times and never made up the material. He would pause and never complete his sentences. He wasn't very clear on anything. Definitely not an easy A. He did talk about his coffee and his bills a lot. Not helpful at all. Notes don't really help for the test. AVOID.

Terrible Teacher! All he did was make lame jokes. He NEVER used the TEXTBOOK!! He was off in his own little world drawing his Economic Models. Not helpful at all.

Never used the expensive "Economics-Private & Public Choice" textbook. Just was on the board drawing "economic models" graphs really. Never on time. Reminded me more of high school teacher than a college professor. The class started out with 41 people. We were down to 14! I have a high threshold for pain as did the other brave 13 souls left.

This guy is horrible at what he does! He gives lectures on "what is going to be on the test" and the day the test comes, nothing what he talked about is on it. In addition, he makes it difficult for you to read the test. The student have strain their eyes just to comprehend which questions that they are actually reading, because it's all compacted

This guy is the worst teacher I have had in my life. period. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He will stray from the syllabus. This class is a collection models based on economic principles. Sadly he just uses one graph to explain everything. So, at the end of the lecture you find a white board that looks like a jackson pollock painting. He is the worst. trust me.

Lectures abysmal, he doesn't know how to do his own assignments. Questions? Don't even bother because he doesn't. He will leave you mentally frustrated. All I learned in his class: something about his coffee, his kids ask for money often, he doesn't finish his sentences. Take a pillow to his class. Best sleep you'll ever get.

Bottom line, this guy is absolutely horrible. I'd wait 2 years to get someone else rather than take him now. I'd rather give myself a root canal than take his class. Talk about torture. Not only is the class hard, but he makes it worse by not helping and getting students confused and frustrated. Avoid him! Hes useless and should quit or be fired!!!

Can find the book online, he changes it every semester & doesn't try to lower the price from $160 for a one class book. Complains, only works for the $, uses layman's terms instead of vocab that is on the test, uses same graph for whole class, doesn't tell you formulas, test study guide has nothing to do with test generally. no help ever, AVOID!

If you want a taste of what a true university professor is like, take him and he'll prepare you for university. Seriously, that's how they teach, they don't care and are rude and snobby, and they can't teach either! He'll ruin your gpa and makes class unbearable, but get used to it if you want to transfer to a top-notch university!

hands down probably one of the worst professors i have ever had. I got an A in his class, with no help from him though. he was rude and horrible with his emails. i turned in an assignment through email when i was sick and he never entered it in his gradebook even after numerous times of me reminding him.

Dont take this guy. he makes you buy the book and doesn't teach anything from the book. everything that's on the test he lectures about and gives very little notes.

Do yourself a favor and never choose him. Horrible professors! definitely one of the worst on campus. Spends half his lectures repeating what he went over the first class and then tries to cram new material with the remaining time. Also the book isnt necessary because he teaches based on what he believe is the fundamentals of econ. Try and avoid him at all costs!

Worst professor I have had. Don't buy the book because it won't help you. Not very much of what he teaches is even in the book. He was not helpful at all during his office hours, and was quite rude. His lectures are boring and repetitive. In order to do good in the class you must write down EVERYTHING he says. Try to take a different professor.

Horrible choice. Unless you have an uncanny ability to understand economics DO NOT TAKE his class. He is a tough grader, talks about non-topical nonsense, offers no help during office hours. Should have dropped the class, instead of dropping my gpa. Also he speaks like he wants you are supposed to complete his train of thought, its pretty weird.

If you understand the material, you will do well. His tests are easy, however, he is a horrible teacher. Lectures are long, slow, and repetitive. He's very rude and always has an attitude when you ask him a question. Do yourself a favor and opt for another professor.

If you already know econ this may be easy for you because he will not teach it to you. Youtube AC/DC is your friend. He will test you on everything he didn't get around to thoroughly. He is rude very unprofessional and will cut you off when speaking. During lecture he will spend countless time on storytelling instead of key concepts. RUN! FAST!

Don't take economics with this professor. He spends most of class time storytelling and then barely mentions test material. He doesn't explain the concepts in a way that's easy for a beginner to understand, and his lectures are very confusing. The book is optional but I recommend getting it, most of his lectures are based on it.

Do not take his class for Econ2. Book was utterly useless because he doesn't teach by the book. Inouye's lecture revolves around one example of a graph that won't be of any use on the homework. The homework grading solely revolves around the quantity of beers he finished. Exams: 60% essay 40% MC. He assigns Extra credit, gave EVERYONE a zero...

This professor is terrible. All he does is talk but everything he says is unorganized. he does not lecture well, you will forever be confused about the material. The tests are very hard and his lectures are useless. he's not good at explaining he just writes on the board and expects u to grasp the material. a lot of graphs. a lot of hw. hard grader

Take a different Econ professor. I took ALOT of notes in the beginning & it did not help me for the tests. He creates his own assignments that are not well structured, literally he squeezes all the questions on one page & the font is like size 8. I tried in this class and did not receive the grade I wished. Lectures+assignments are confusing&hard.

Professor is not well organized and the examples that he gives in class are completely different than his homework worksheets. I feel like I've wasted time going to his class and attempting the work. I participated in class and got extra credit doing so, but his tests are confusing and it does not balance your grade whatsoever.

Professor Minehiro is a hilarious individual while he is giving a lecture. However, this is the only thing good about his teaching. I was having difficulty with the homework assignment. When I asked for his help, I was more than willing to stay after class or see him during his office hours. He responded tough luck, I am busy. He never even help.

He spent half the classes projecting his personal problems w/ his children and the government onto us and overall was wildly unprofessional. The tests were easy if you did the hw and could parse actual information from his inane rants, but it was really frustrating to sit through everyday. Take a different professor if you want to actually learn.

I took this class in winter session. This professor was by no means quality. He stumbled into class late every day, would claim his students answers were wrong, just to rephrase the exact response and would use nonsensical call and response to get his convoluted and disorganized lectures across.

He seems chill, but his lectures are weird. He does let you record if you ask nicely. "Lectures" was half a page long since he rambled the entire class and "answered everyone's questions." Grading criteria were based heavily on tests. He's more of an old school professor, but he has honest and blunt knowledge.

He's actually been the worst professor I have ever had and that I will ever have. He always had his online zoom meetings at random times. Sometimes at 8am and sometimes at 9pm. His hw and the slides rarely match up and you basically have to teach yourself everything. I basically had to email him the entire semester and he yelled at me on an email.

It may be due to the shift to online learning, but this is one of the most difficult classes I have had to take and it's not because the material. You will have to teach yourself economics and the assignments are always scrambled when sent to students.

Hes not cut out to be an online teacher, he's unresponsive, but worst of all he's rude. You can tell he doesn't want to teach online and i get it. But times have changed and if you don't like it then please don't teach. His class is manageable but if you have any issues with anything regarding the class.. good luck trying to talk to him about it

If you are hoping to learn & understand economics, this is NOT the professor for you. Aside from answering some questions in lecture, he does not answer emails in a timely manner (if at all). Lectures are confusing, making the assignments just as confusing. Also doesn't know how to work canvas very well, makes it harder on students.

This professor is the worst. Doesn't even teach, he only posts the slides and HW and expects us to understand it. Doesn't do office hours and if he does respond to some emails, he gives confusing responses. I was really stressed out and had to reach out to classmates which is why I passed. Homework was confusing and tests are messy. DO NOT TAKE.

This class was one of the worst I have ever taken. He absolutely does not teach. There are not even video lectures, only powerpoint slides that he posts on canvas, which are unorganized, messy, and often barely comprehensible. His assignments are even worse. He is extremely hard to reach and when he does respond, he is very rude. AVOID HIM!

For tests he assigns a day and request you choose a 2 hr time frame instead of leaving it open for the entire day. Yes he accommodates, but is slow to respond and sometimes rude about it. His lecture slides are usually disorganized and have missing information which is hel against you on the homework. Class overall is disorganized. Definitely avoid

This is the worst class I have ever taken, if you can even call it a class. There are no live or recorded lectures. No textbook assigned. There are no due dates listed anywhere. There is no announcement when assignments are posted on Canvas. I dont have enough space, just please not not take this class under any circumstance.

The worst professor I've ever had. His communication skills nonexistent, and I've missed multiple discussions because there was no acknowledgement of their existence. His writing is full of errors too so I also can't understand his assignments sometimes. Some assignments have no lectures, so you're left alone with no help whatsoever.

Literally the worst teacher I've ever experienced. There are no lectures. He just sends presentations that make no sense and have a ton of typos and errors. He literally will never give you a perfect score on an assignment and doesn't tell you what you did wrong on an assignment. The assignments literally don't make any sense. The exams aren't hard

He never said when he was posting assignments, which by the way make zero sense. No lectures, no textbooks, no extra credit, no feedback. He makes horrible presentations with terrible grammar. I tried asking my parents to decipher his presentation and they deemed him illiterate. For no reason take this class. Extremely difficult to get a hold of.

Never told us when assignments or discussions were posted. Never told us what slides go with what assignment and would just randomly add slides to the modules. Slides are organized terribly and are riddled with grammar errors. Assignments are almost impossible due to terrible quality of slides. Never answered my question on the class chat.

Do not take this class. This was the worst experience I've ever gone through. His lectures are super confusing, unorganized, and spelled incorrectly. It's impossible to truly understand economics. Also, I received a D because he never graded my last assignment. Even when I Went to him for tutoring, he was extremely rude.

This Professor is very harsh on grading homework assignments given that the only material assigned to help do the homework is a PowerPoint. Economics a subject that requires way more lectures and help than just a power point making it very hard and confusing to complete the work. Not very clear on assignments and homework.

This class was bad. I didn't understand anything the PowerPoint didn't even help. Not enough examples. And the random announcements were not okay. Not good communication and I felt lost most of the time.

Lectures were hard to understand, He was a very harsh grader and would never communicate with the class. He was difficult to understand. Would only teach with PowerPoints that never made sense. Homework assignments were also hard to understand

From the bottom of my heart,please do not take this course.He is not online savvy.His assignments make absolutely zero sense. Lectures are even worse. His only feedback on EVERY single assignment was "ok".I attempted to report him and his lack of teaching ability to the board but nothing really happened. Do not take this class.

Genuinely do not understand how this guy is a professor. Taking this class online its clear he does not have a passion for teaching. There were no video lectures, only power points which didn't do much to help teach the material. HW assignments are word documents that are wildly unorganized. Very difficult to understand. Kept having to go to YouTube to provide better guidance. The assignments where poorly communicated and a lot of the times the assignments where not posted when mentioned.
