Professor Ng was AMAZING, and everyone interested in neuroscience should take a class with her! The class was team-based, and while the material was difficult, she was a fair grader so doing well in her class wasn't. Her teaching approach was really helpful- she's so funny, knowledgeable, and interesting, and she made class really enjoyable.

Dr. Ng is a total sweetheart. She'll really try to get to know you and help you. I didn't do so great on one of the weekly quizzes and she reached out to me to make sure everything was okay. Okay, so the teacher doesn't teach. And team-based is supposed to mean that you are split into a group of five other students and help each other learn. Dont know why so many bad reviews. Neuro102 team based was my easiest class this semester. Watch video lectures and read the textbook for homework, and short quizzes in class-only needed 7/10 to get credit. Non-cumulative final and it was online open notes.10/10 class recommend especially if you need a psych requirement bc easier than psych 101

I don't get the bad reviews. Easy A if you have a solid group. Skimming the textbook the night before class is enough to pass the individual/group quizzes. Ng's quiz questions can sometimes be unclear. Even if most of the class agrees with a different answer, she won't concede. Class was 2.5 hrs, so it was hard to stay focused. Exams are open note.

Forget all these bad reviews. Dr. Ng puts a lot of effort into making this class fun and informative. Course moves quickly, but the class's team-based format gives you the opportunity to work with others. Plus, you get to take the weekly quiz with your team and make some friends. Very stress-free class that can introduce anyone to neuroscience.

Minna is a character for sure, she is a little cray at times but she grew on me. The class meets only once a week and the HW is to watch + take notes on a video per chapter - really isn't that bad. It is a team based class so if your team is chill the class is really enjoyable. Both midterm and final were take home, multiple choice, and online.
