This teacher is great! She always has the class laughing with her examples that make the lectures much more interesting. Her tests are exactly what she went over, no tricks or games, and any effective person who pays attention can get an A.

I highly recommend this course! My brother and I took this class and both learned a lot. Even though the workload is heavy, prof. Abety is a great teacher. If you study hard and do all your work you should do well. If you don't understand anything ask prof. Abety, she is ready and willing to help. This class is a must for proactive students.

She was very helpful, and has a great personality. She gives very good notes for tests and there are no tricks to it. Her class is great!

I had her last semester but did not get a chance to rate her. Abety is a very nice teacher and you learn things that are pretty out of the ordinary, but extremely interesting. She teaches off power point mainly, but its not boring at all. I learned a lot about disorders and found her lectures to be very interesting.

Very interesting class, knows a lot about abnormal psychology. Let's you explore areas in abnormal psychology of interest to you. Brings up current issues and ties them to psychology.

if you take notes and study really hard for the test you will be ok, dont miss classes because she has a good memory even you think that she is a little crasy

She is a good professor. the only problem with her is that some students dont like teachers to read of the powerpoint, my class was pretty fun and interesting and yes her tests are very easy!! I recommend this class. She is very nice. Plus hints (she gives you extra time to do work.)

Her lectures are very helful and interesting even though she reads from the power point. The exams are very easy. Be prepare to do a research paper and a presentation for the class. The book is needed for you to study but you dont need to bring it to class.

Best psychology professor ever. Her lectures are based on powerpoints. She gives reviews for all tests and the final is the last two chapters of the book. No midterm. one term paper but you can choose your topic. One project but its in a group. Book is important, its the bible for that class. Guaranteed A in that class. Definitely recommended!!!!!

I took her for psychology and human development and she is great! Don't listen to the people here because if they fail is because 1) didn't study or 2) Didn't show up to class! All you got to do is study the review she sends you and do good in tests which are easy! Great and funny professor!

Took her and she's great and fun! Makes class time flies! She sends you a review with everything that will be on the test for you to study and do it and if you do that you'll pass with an A!!! Shes very nice and helps you in what you need.

Dr. Abety is extremely helpful, she does make mistakes (How strange, huh? ... she's human, geniuses!). I have never seen a professor give so many chances to students who were failing her classes. I am "in the field" like someone said and she was an inspiration (What a shame you didn't see it that way)... also teaches valuable life lessons.

You need the book, good test reviews the test are somewhat easy, do service learning more than required she will give extra credit, virtual baby, project and you will get an A

She was ok but their is better teachers in kendall for this class. Do the study guides and you'll do good on the tests. Don't pay attention to her powerpoints they have nothing to do with test. She gave 9 tests, three were take home. Made us do a movie and community service.

I've taken this professor for two different classes.Shes all about her powerpoints but theyre very helpful and she explains with detail!Take notes! Shes very smart!I think she was/is a hippi! Attendance is MANDATORY!But i definetly recommend her!She gives out projects and gives you PLENTYY of time, you can even take it to her-to check.

She is a pretty good professor. The course requires you to volunteer 10 hr and also you need to make a video, but you will have time for all that if you do not wait until the end. Her test are not so easy but if you dedicate time, you will get an A for sure.

I took her my first time in school. She is not bad. I found the project to be somewhat hard but i still got a B in the class.

easy class, easy professor. just listen to her talk. there's a 5 hour service learning you have to do but just BS it. portfolio at the end of semester as if we're in high school. NO way you can fail, passed with an A.

Love this professor. 16 module tests that are super easy if you have the book. Discussion posts. 1 research paper that she lets you re-do for a higher grade. 1 proctored final exam that's a bit hard but if you do well on all the other stuff,you should be ok. She takes awhile to respond to e-mails but she'll extend due dates if you need it.

Great professor and ALWAYS gives a review for tests. If you learn whats on the review you'll get an A. The class is very fun and she has a great personality. Will definitely be taking her for PSY2012. For hw she doesnt give any except study, one group project, and a virtual baby that you can raise in about 3 days.

This class was easy but a bit stressful for nothing. The whole group project and raising the baby is a bunch of pointless work that takes time away from studying. Study hard and you can get the A. She is a great person, a bit crazy but it makes her classes fun.

Great professor with many insights. I loved her class, and I want to take more with her. Her assignments are pretty straight forward, just do them, and you will do really well in class. Super nice, and very accessible during her office hours.

Amazing and inspirational! Dr. Abety is truly one of the best professors I have ever taken. As long as you do your work and aren't lazy, you should easily pass. If you ever have any issues, speak with her after class or go to her office hours. She has so much experience and knowledge.
