Confusing professor. I do not give bad ratings at all but this professor left me no choice. She is really good at confusing students. I was interested in ECE but this class changed everything for me.

I really looked forward to this class, and was greatly disappointed by the prof's lack of communication, total disorganization, and general dismissive tone toward students. The grading scale changed the last day of the class, which I've never experienced before. While I'm sure she likes the academic topic, she was not interested in truly teaching.

Very discouraging on her feedback. Does not help or encourage students for the better, merely states what is wrong with the answers that are given. Does not interact with problems to find a solution clearly. Very vague on her responses.

Isn't clear about what she wants on assignments. Is extremely rude when you ask questions. Gives vague responses. Very annoying. Do not take her if you want a good grade.

Took this course online over the summer. She Is not clear on what she wants and will not even dock you points but just give you a 0 no matter what. This should be an easy A course but she treats it like it is Organic Chemistry. Does not answer your questions thoroughly and is extremely vague. Avoid at all costs! terrible Professor!

This is the worst teacher I have ever taken. She doesn’t explain anything. When asking for clarification she treats the student as if we are nothing and still doesn’t give any more information. I received a good grade by triple checking everything before I turned papers in. To her credit, she does have massive knowledge of ECE. Just can't teach!

I have taken many online classes and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Her online class is so unorganized and complicated you just want to pull your hair out. The best part of this class was the book. She seems to talk down to you with her feedback rather than being encouraging. AVOID THIS INSTRUCTOR! It has been the worst class.

Unclear about her assignments. When need clarifications, answers them very late and in a rude, unhelpful way. Expect everybody to be a full time student...doesn't understand that some of us do actually work. Not very helpful, replies very slowly, doesn't take feedback positively. Makes negative comment to students' ideas and post. NOT recommended.

I've been taking online classes for years and this is by far the worst teacher I've ever had in my life. I'm usually a straight A student but this teacher gives no insight or clarification on what she wants. If you ask her she's rude and says it's not fair to others to look over your work & give you feedback on what you need to improve on.

Is not specific when it comes to her instructions and when you do it wrong then you cannot redo it. She always tell you to refer back to her 15 page syllabus which I find not helpful because there where many questions I was unclear and when I emailed her about my questions she says for me to reread the syllabus. Which of course I did but no help.

I am going to start off by saying I am someone who is passing her class with flying colors. However, this professor has no business teaching. She is incredibly unclear and flat out RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL. The way she talks down to adult students greatly concerns me that she has ever worked with children. STAY AWAY!!!

This class was the worst learning experience ever. She was rude and disrespectful to anyone that she did not agree with. There was no open discussion. If you do not think the way she does drop the class. The vast majority does. She gets paid no matter how many students make it to the end.

Not clear on assignments at all. No communication on current activities. Yes, I know we have a syllabus for that, but I'm pretty sure many students have e-mailed her with same questions and has either never gotten an answer or has been left even more confused on what she is actually looking for. Emphasis on grammar but doesn't follow it herself.

Be prepared to e-mail her weeks in advance. She tends to not respond as quick as she should. You will be left to figure out what she expects on an assignment. Stickler for grammar. Class is all about discussion post, with a minimum of 4 post on 3 separate days and it was consist of at least 150 words or get a 0 ZERO!

she is not that nice you can not have a phone even on in class she is not very helpful she don't email you right away when there is not class that day came all the way to CRC and there was no class

Doesn't give clear instructionsfeedback which most online teachers are mindful of doing. You spend more time guessing what she wants than learning. I am getting a good grade so far, but I was hoping to get more out of the course. If you have a choice take another teacher. Counting the days for the end of the semester. The best part is the book.

About 12 of your grade are discussion post. You must incorporate the reading material in your post. And by doing so you must literally state what page you read it on. Otherwise she assumes you didn't read it and dock points minimum of 150 words. Her reposefeedback are cocky because she makes it too personal. Does not validate your opinion.

I am only into the second week of this class and I am already filling up the bathtub and plugging in the toaster. I am pretty sure that this professor was dropped on her head a few times as a child. She has horrible communication with her students and she does not let students give their own opinions if it offends her. Do not take her online class!

Terrible teacher! Responses are consistently rude and negative, puts down others' opinions. Talks down to students like children while advocating for more respectful treatment of children in the early childhood education field -- IRONY. Contributes very little of her own knowledge, only rude criticism and word for word regurgitated opinions. NO!!!

AWFUL! I am taking her online class right now and I wish I would have realized her grading style earlier to drop the class. You will only get full points on discussion if you agree with her even though post kind of have to include your opinion. Don't take her.

I have to say, even though you are very prepared for this class, she's still going to give you bad grades. Taking this class online right now and I'm already getting bad grades just because of a little small thing. I suggest do not take her class ECE 312 online. She is not clear at all!

VERY little clarity on assignments, introduced 2 in the syllabus then never talks about them again. Any questions? all you'll hear is "refer to your syllabus". No partial credit/make-up/late work. Big on "grammar and spelling," but apparently doesn't proof read anything of her own. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS unless you like torture!! Condescending/rude.

DO NOT TAKE I took her for an online class and I had to drop. She was totally unclear- her syllabus said one thing and she would say another then mark you down for doing the wrong thing. If you don't answer one question or answer it in a way she doesn't like, she will give you a zero for the entire assignment. Totally unhelpful!

I wish I would have checked this site before taking her online class. I reached out to her multiple times about struggling on some of the test. I asked if there was a way I could see what I was getting wrong so I could study differently. She said that isn't possible to do sorry. Every time I reached out for any kind of help she was very unhelpful.

Very unorganized, if you like organization don't take her. Unprepared for class. Posts last minute, even though she stresses not to do that. No study guide, or even showing incorrect answers for/on tests. Often changes board reading material after students have already posted.

Weekly discussions are highly annoying when she wants you to post your own post on the questions she asks on specific days (Monday or Tuesday) and then respond to another classmate post on different days. That doesn't make sense to me nor does it make it interactive in my opinion. Cant wait for this class to be over! not recommended! :(

This teacher is so unorganized. She doesn't communicate with her students. This whole semester she's only posted twice in the news feed page, most teachers post the beginning of each week. If you don't post on the right days and on different days you get no credit at all she just gives you 0. I don't recommend taking her for any class.

Worst online classes I have ever taken! Very unorganized professor. Would post information and then change it a week later and not notify students of changes. E-mailed to point out an error so she would understand why there was confusion with students and she was very aggressive back. Very vague on other assignments and it will be your fault.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER!!! This professor is passive aggressive. She is unclear, rude, unfair and just plain bad at her job. I did not learn anything of use in this class. All she did was make us all feel there is NO HOPE for the education system whatsoever.

Too tough. I understand that some professors will be tough so you can learn but thats not the case with her. She has HIGH expectations of you but explains the material vaguely. When you ask her questions for clarification she rude and makes you feel like an idiot for not understanding what hasn't been taught properly. I would not take this class

Extremely difficult grader with minimal feedback, Not clear about assignment expectations, requires way too much for an online course, should probably just have a regular 2 day class. No room for error, no extra credit. Definitely wouldn't recommend the class.

The structure of her online class is very unorganized. Comes off as accusatory and rude with her feedback even though most is based off our own opinions. Will say everything thats wrong but doesnt offer solutions with her own knowledge. Very vague with expectations but will mark you down if you dont meet them, even if directions are unclear.

She is a teacher that says one thing but does another. If you listen to what she says in class about the projects you will get marked down. Do whatever it says on the syllabus because she grades based on what the syllabus says even if it is different from what she says in class. When she's having a bad day she will make sure that the class does too

She's does not grade clearly. She will not say what you get marked down for in papers (Actual words she said "Do not worry about the points or how they are given"). When I asked her what I did wrong, she pointed out that I said sometimes I do what makes my job easier when working, and she said "That looks bad professionally". Such a quack

This is my least favorite instructor I have ever had in my life. She grades harder than necessary and does not give clear directions on any assignments, but will dock you points... I am a 4.0 student and she gave me a horrible grade due to just not liking me. She made the class much harder than it needs to be. A student couldve taught it better.

I think she overlooks that she is teaching. She tells you how you must think and it you think otherwise it is wrong. She thinks because she is an author she has that right. You cannot have your own perspective when you take her class.

I dont think she likes her job anymore. She was very rude and dismissive to her students. She made me angry and anxious and was not supportive in any way. She made me feel stupid if I asked a question. This class should have been informative and engaging, not a power trip. Dont disagree with her, only her thoughts are valid. Never again.

Doesn't seem to like teaching anymore. She is rude and condescending and rips apart your opinions and tells you they are wrong. She made me feel stupid if I asked a question. When I reached out to her to find out what I did wrong on one of our assignments she was rude in her response. Do not take her class, it was not worth the stress!

Her feedback on assignments are not helpful at all. She comments on about 20-30 things but all she says is “why?”. I’ve taken many ECE classes with other professors and have never had trouble writing or with grades, but with this professor it seems I can’t do anything right. If you can please do not take this professor!!

Harsh grader. Does not like your opinions. Makes you second guess your work. Weekly discussions are not bad as long as you post each on a different day. Rude feedback and does not explain it. I get anxiety when doing work for her class because I know she will find something wrong in anything!! Does not use good grammar in her books either.

I’ve never had a worse teacher than her. She doesn’t even teach anything just assigns random links for you to research then grades ridiculously tough even though she doesn’t put any effort on her end. Do not take her class I am going to contact the dean about her performance. She also doesn’t like replying to students when they reach out.

This class is all about weekly reading, answer general questions like "What do you get from this weekly reading? " "what are the 3 things you get from this week's material?" whole semester I felt I was lost and wasn't good enough for the class (I had more than 10 ECE classes with a straight-A record in my pocket before taking this elective course)

Lacks teacher communication with students. Does not give clear instructions for homework. Posted office hours but never showed up to respond messages. Whenever she did she would make you feel dumb. Simple as that. 0/10000

Nightmare of a teacher. I cannot believe she teaches in the ECE department. She shouldn't be a teacher at all let alone one who works with/teaches about children. I will NEVER take her class again or trust her around a child. Save yourself from bouts of verbal and psychological abuse. She is a liar and doesn't care about anyone but herself! BEWARE!

Left this class within the first two weeks b/c I knew it was going to be a ** show. I think she delayed responding to emails about an upcoming report in order to secure deposits on the class, her emails within the first week were rude and demeaning. Poor instructions and the class still struggles-about 15/40 students left. Rude and unhelpful.

There is minimal effort put into setting up the class.. She would just pull random articles from the internet and have you write 1-2 pages on it. APA citation matters more than the context of the paper. Her instructions are confusing and vague. The syllabus mentioned that no textbooks would be used, however, most assignments refer to the textbook.
