this teacher is very sweet and almost laid back. she is a good math teacher and presents notes and lectures clearly. her tests are subwhat easy as long as you know the material she has taught and do most of the homework. I would strongly recommend her!
This is the best and sweetest GMS teacher at state.. she gives extra work for you to understand things better and heyy the best part is you don't have to turn it in.. everything helps and she even gives everyone an extra 100 points for credit.. take her!
She is so funny! All of her manerisms and everything! She is so nice and very helpful, she makes me laugh everytime I am in her class. She thoroughly explains all of the concepts so that you understand them. I recommend her highly!
She knows what she's talking about but she does all the work for you even when she asks for volunteers. She doesn't have you turn homework in so most people don't do it which for some isn't good. I don't excel in math and I found this more hurtful for me in understanding it

i went to her class even though i was enrolled in a different section. she explains the concepts very clearly and i felt confident about the material i had learned from her class. if you want to feel better about math, take her. she's a sweetheart.
It's like your kindergarten teacher has returned ot teach you algebra. Yeah, it's nice that it's a not so involved class but you really don't learn much unless you take the time to do the work.
She is the nicest lady in the world...she reminds me of that really sweet grandma everyone has. She likes to talk to the class like we're little kids, but she really does have a good heart and loves what she does. I hate math, but I loved her class!

Korny Keesey is the sweetest person on Earth...seroiusly! BUT she doesn't explain herself clearly, she skips steps and over explains which just confuses people. You can chose to do your work or not doesn't matter BUT he teaching styles and techniques need some great improvement BUT she is soooooo freakin nice.
mrs. keesey makes it REALLY easy to pass her class.. you do some homework from the textbook that she never collects but she makes sure that you did it. there are 2 mid terms and the final. and they are REALLY easy. shes such an aresome teacher. she greats the calss every morning and says that she is thankful for us. i highly recommend her!
She was really sweet person! Her emotional sides take you off gard. She never graded the hw, and she never forced anyone up to the front to solve a problem which was nice. but she was big on attendance. She taught way to fast and not clear on solving the problem. really hard
She is a sweetheart, and she cares about everyone, although her lectures are a little fast, but it's only because she has a lot to cover, but if you have any questions or concerns she will help you regardless. Overall a great teacher, I would take her again, not a hard class to pass esp. when you know the material.

Shes a cool old lady although she may skip some stuff. Although She knows her stuff just make sure to ask and she'll be happy to help. She wants all her students to pass and she is like a comedian always making the class laugh. HAHAHA
MY BEST TEACHER DURING MY FIRST SEM AT COLLEGE! I dreaded doing remedial classes before I met her. She is so sweet and understanding and really knows her math! She is also very helpful when you ask for assistance. She doesn't make you feel stupid when you don't know the answer to the simplest question. Very motherly! TAKE HER

don't take this teacher if you plan on passing. i'm horrible at math and her teaching style consists of writing problems on the board without explaining the concepts first, so needless to say i didn't pass. also goes off on tangents A LOT. go to class cuz she teaches wayyy different than how the book explains.
GREAT proff. She actually teaches and lets students do problems on their own in order to for them to learn. She is a really sweet woman. She is helpful. I highly recommend her.

Very sweet teacher who cares about her students. She calls all of her students her friends :|. Class is kind of boring. She doesn't really check the homework(she gives you credit even if you don't have it). This class is basically review, it was very easy. 2 tests and the final, do good on the tests and you will most likely pass the class!

To be honest, I think she's a nice person but not a clear teacher. She tries to make things simple but ends up screwing them up even more! I recognize some of the topics from 8th grade and they were explained much better back then. I had absolutely no trouble passing but that's because it's not a hard class. Don't expect complete clarifaction!
Very sweet lady who loves math and her students. This class goes by fast with a chapter a day so be in class so u dont fall behind. She recommends homework, but doesnt check it so we get full credit anyway. Hardly opened my text book once. Exams are somewhat easy, but class is a lil dull

REALLY NICE LADY, BUT DOESN'T REALLY EXPLAIN THINGS WELL. THE CLASS IS EASY, MOSTLY MATH FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL. MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR TEXTBOOK, AND MAKE SURE U GO TO CLASS (SHE TAKES ATTENDANCE).
This teacher is crazy! you pretty much have to self teach yourself the whole class. she means well but she's just very very hyper and energetic and rushes through everything.

worst teacher i've had at state yet. COMPLETELY useless. i can't believe she's the head of the GMS classes. even though the math is easy, it's stuff that you haven't done since like freshman year of high school and she just rushes through it like everyone knows what she's talking about and she doesn't give instructions. She is a very sweet and kind lady but she a HORRID teacher. The material this class covers is stuff i personally learned in 8th and 9th grade. So naturally I forgot it all. She has her own complicated way of solving problems, she lacks the ability to clarify how she got to point A to B. You'll hear math lab more times than you can stand. AVOID her
For those of you coming in as freshmens or transferring, do yourselves a favor and take GMS91 at a junior college, just not SDCC, she teaches there too. Her teaching style assumes you know the material being covered. She lacks coherency and clarity and has a tendency to rush through stuff.she also blocks the whiteboard half the time.

Teacher is just not home. She allows a guy who is coughing through a test to enable others to cheat on the test and pass and also distracts me, the guy who is not cheating. She will work problems out but allows no input from students. She does not engage the students or refer to the text book in order to give clarity of the subject to the class.

She is a teacher who cares about her students. She is really nice. Her class is very fast paced. Kind of hard to understand what's going on but I would still recommend her as a teacher. This class is extremely easy and she is willing to help when needed. I passed (credit/no credit class) and pretty much slept through class.
She's wonderful, explains everything really good (but you get confused sometimes because she explains too much), other than that really good professor!
She does rush through the material pretty quickly but if you go to her office hours she explains it much better. You don't have much homework plus it's super easy.

If you're good at math and need GMS 91 then take this class. Otherwise search for another professor. Unclear instructions and rushes through material. Senseless humor is also something to watch out for as well. Take at own risk!
As a person she is a very sweet lady, cares about her students. As a teacher, not the greatest. Took many shortcuts, did the material in her head, made many mistakes on the board. If you struggle in math, it will not be an easy pass.
Mrs. Keesey is one of those rare instructors that cares about what her students learn AND she cares about her students lives.

Try to avoid this professor. She is very nice and easy to talk to but no where near ideal. She has a little bit too much fun doing problems as quickly as she can and doesn't bother to explain how things are done. She often goes by her own wacky methods of solving problems instead of teaching the class the best way to approach a problem.

She is a very nice lady and all, but she goes REALLY FAST. she skips a lot of the simple steps, but it always raises questions from a handful of students. She isn't detailed in explaining at all, hence why i did not pass it. She is a great person, just not a great explainer. I regret taking her class

She offers optional study methods. You can use MyMathLab or the Trig book. She add 100 base points to you overall grade if you completed online HW. However, she rushes through required material in class. It's hard to copy material and ask for specific explanations. When she does explain it is quick and complex. Not my style. I would not recommend
Keesey is a nice woman, but goes through the work SO fast. And she teaches to the smartest kid in the class, so if you don't already know the basics, (which was my case), you're screwed and will need extra help. Her style of teaching is confusing and I eventually gave up and had a friend tutor me.
She teaches math the way she understands it. She approaches problems however she thinks is best and does not give much explanation for why she chose that method except it is just for-sight that she can see. My recommendation for this class is learn the material as it comes and don't try to play the catchup game. GO TO THE MATH LAB

Keesey isn't the world's greatest math teacher when it comes to explaining because she moves really fast BUT if you need help, she will be there to help you out. She likes to connect to students on a personal level which is cool and she's a really sweet lady. Don't skip class because you think it'll be easy, class is where you learn all the work.

Had a difficult time understanding what was being taught because she was unclear. Sweet lady but NOT a good teacher. Would not recommend to someone who was trying to learn something in class. Uses online textbook which I had problems with, and wasn't efficient.
Very nice lady, but really does not help understand the material. I have never failed a class in my academic career and this was the first class I failed because I literally never understood what was happening! Not very helpful either!
She does not teach clearly. She only does the work in the blackboard and I never got anything out of her "explanations". I did not pass it and I will take it again, the few things I understood were because I went for help with tutors after each class. I would not recommend to anyone who needs to learn, only to those who already know everything.
Great lady but went too fast. She is there if you need help but you are better off going to tutoring in the GMS lab, thats how I passed this class. She assigns homework but never checked it so she gave us all the 100 participation points.
I loved this professor so much when I connected with her intrapersonally! She is always there to help when you do not understand a concept that is covered in class!! You just have to ask for the help that you need in order to pass this class. She is a very nurturing, understanding, and kind-hearted professor!
Cares about her students but definitely goes over the material too fast and if you have any questions she usually sends you to the lab.
