I love this professor! she's pretty close to being our age, so she still understands that just because you're an ungrad doesn't mean you have nothing to do! Her stories are hilarious and her classes are always interesting!

AWESOME PROF. VERY entergetic...but most of all its her willingness to help students understand psychology that I find most appealing. Her dedication to her students is unmatched. Has the best lectures :-)

GREAT teacher. i wish all of my teachers were this enthused about what they do. she loves the material and makes the class very interesting and lively. the tests are very fair if you study from the study list she gives you.

very loveable. So much energy. She loves what she does and you can tell. The classes aren't boring. The tests are fair, not incredibly easy so don't BS your way through tempting as it is. Definitely take her to get your Goal thingie done.

YAAY for Dr. Liss!!!! She made me want to become a psych major! She's tons of fun, and you'll never realize that you're learning as much as you are until you take the test. More professors should make the same effort. She's amazing!

She is awesome, she makes a class that has the potential to be incredibly hard become easy through sheer energy and will.

Hard as $hit tests. She is like she drank 10 gallons of coffee right before the class. I found the class becoming less interresting as the semester went by.

She is one of the best professors I have had, she tries hard to make sure her students understand the material. It is obvious she wants students to succeed. Her tests are difficult, but the class is worth it.

Absolutely insane amount of energy, it takes a while to get used to. She's very knowledgable about Grad School and psych in general. Take her for the experiance and the education.

She's crazy and very energetic, but she's passionate about the subject matter. Her tests can be kind of hard, but you'll do fine if you put in the effort. She's one of the friendliest and most approachable people you'll ever meet.

great intro class, take it for the gen ed, half the fun is the spectacle that is dr liss, seriously though, you'll learn a lot and the tests are easy as long as you put in some effort...take the class, she offers extra credit too

Oh man... there's no way to describe her. She's so motivated about what she's teaching that it really makes you want to learn it. Plus she's really funny... best class so far.

This class is a lot of fun to go to because Dr. Liss gets so into the material it makes it interesting. Her tests are pretty difficult though because all of the terms are very similar.

I absolutely loved this class. No matter what you're learning, you'll love it because she's such a great teacher. Lots of extra credit! Tests can be challenging, look at the study guides. Read the book, it really helps.

I really enjoyed her class...her passion for the material is very evident. However, it is easy to miss some important info because she talks really fast some times.

Okay, she is all over the place! Very bouncy, loves the material. Relatively easy, can miss class though tests cover lecture material not found in book. Make sure to read and attend class as much as poss. Tests focus on concepts, not bolded topics and words. Fun class overall. She uses games sometimes to help with material. Videos as well.

omg yes she is the most adorable teacher ever. i loved her class because she is so excited about what she is teaching. she loves it and will make you love it too. whatever is in that Fiji bottles water she always drinks...i want some.

Very cute! I am not a morning person, but by the time I get to her class at 9am she wakes me up. Very good, enthusiastic teacher. Attendance is key, and she uses visuals and interactive activities to keep everyone awake. Tests are all multiple choice--not bad. Know the concepts, not the terms. She posts a study guide online too, use that!

She is a GREAT teacher!!! Her class is interesting and it's easy to pay attention. She has alot of enthusiasm and is easy to follow. Participation is counted by little index card quizzes where you write down 1 thing u learned in class. I would DEFINITELY take more classes with her.

Liss is crazy hyper but in a good way! Very fun and interesting class! Tests are kind of hard, you feel do did better than you actually did. Study a fair amount and your fine. If you want to take psych, start with her! She makes it awesome!

Dr. Liss is awesome! She loves the subject and it shows in class. Her lectures are interesting which made class pass quickly. Her tests are not that bad, especially if you use the study guide she puts on blackboard. She has a good sense of humor, and I would definitely take another one of her classes! Great teacher and class!

This is a great intro class that will definitely get you interested in psychology and keep you awake! Put effort into the homeworks, come to class, and study for the exams and you should do well. Prof. Liss is so entertaining and very knowledgeable.

Great teacher!! very energetic, she breaks everything down so its easy to understand and almost kind of fun.. notecard questions are all she does for attendance.. the study guides are kind of useless cuz their is ALOT of info on there, but take alot of notes and you'll get a good grade

awesome class. she has "pop" note cards, so make sure you go to class. energetic and fun. study hard for exams. there's a lot of information. take good notes. grading is based on total point score. so no worries with weights of certain assignments. papers are tedious and it's difficult to get a perfect score.

I love Dr. Liss! Taking her class confirmed for me that I wanted to be a psych major. She can get really excited and go all over the place, but hey, it's better than a class you sleep through. The fifty minutes went by fast. Take her! Multiple choice tests with short answer and (for me) non-cumulative final.

Great teacher! She is very enthusiastic about the material and always willing to clarify anything you are unsure about. Tests are not too too hard and if you go to class you can easily get a B without studying at all. :)

Dr. Liss is loud and all over the place. But I can't help to love it. She's so fun and I really enjoyed her intro to clinical class. I gain substantial knowledge and the interviewing assignment was amazing! A little tedious but really helpful for psych majors. The exams are hair and quite manageable, just pay attention during lecture and read.

She's really pumped about what she teaches and is always energetic in her lectures. She is always there if you have questions and though a bit scatter brained can be really genius in her explanations of tough concepts.

Dr. Liss can be a little loud and overwhelming, but it's clear that she loves what she does and has a lot of interest in the material she teaches. If you pay attention and follow along with her study guides, then you should have no problem passing!! She's really nice and very helpful!

Amazing and fun professor! She really LOVES what she teaches. Not a hard professor, but must study for exams. Only grades in the class are the four exams, index cards for attendance, and extra credit points. If you come to class and follow along with "questions to consider" worksheets you will do just fine. Overall, fun class and you learn a lot!

Good class for a gen ed requirement or for a psych major. Very bubbly which isn't usually my thing but kept the class interesting. I looked forward to going to class. Offers a lot of extra credit and preps you for what is on the test. There were "pop" notecards days for attendance. I would recommend her!

Wonderful Professor!!! Professor Liss is the most energetic teacher I have ever had. She is very passionate about the subject, and that brings a positive feel to the classroom. She is very lively and entertaining. I learned a lot from her, and hope to take another one of her classes soon.

Dr. Liss is extremely outgoing and very willing to help a student understand the material. Her class is very discussion-based, so keep up with the reading and answer her questions for discussion before each class and you should do well - both in the class and on the tests.

Very nice, has very strong opinions but for the most part lets us talk (it is a lecture based class). She is very conscerned about what we want to learn about, and will drop readings if she feels that they are too much.

I had almost no interest in personality before I took this class with Dr. Liss, but she makes lecture so interesting it's hard not to enjoy lectures and think about the material. She's so smart and makes connections between theories that you wouldn't think of! She wants you to do well and explains assignments clearly and always has a review day!

Liss is one of the most enthusiastic teachers I have ever had. Her eagerness to teach makes this class worth coming to even if you aren't sure you are interested in the material. She uses powerpoints during class and posts them on canvas at the beginning of the semester. Her tests are not hard as long as you study what she put on the powerpoint.

She was so passionate about the class and so energetic. Best psych professor I've had.

Wonderful Teacher! If you show up and follow along with the readings and lecture you will pass with no problem. She is very engaging and the more a class interacts and participates the better she gets. I would sign up for another one of her classes in a heartbeat. By far my favorite professor...

Dr. Liss is my favorite professor on campus at least the best out of the 19 ones I've had. She is so enthusiastic about the material and loves talking about things she is interested as well as her students. Open-minded, caring, hilarious. She is a ball of energy and I left class everyday hype and ready to discuss anything and everything.

A wonderful Professor. Her lectures are easy to understand and follow. Definitely would recommend her. The only thing is you DON'T have to show up, but iclicker points matter. So don't get in the habit of skipping. Also the tests are APPLICATION so you need to know the material. There is plenty of extra credit. Just pay attention and you're good!

Dr. Liss is an amazing professor. She lectures clearly and she's pretty funny too. Gives many opportunities for extra credit, and attendance is not necessary as long as you get your 50 clicker points (3 per day). The tests are easy if you do the online work, and she's easy to talk to if you have questions. Your grade is under your complete control!

Dr. Liss is very enthusiastic about her job. She obviously loves what she does and is always excited about the topic we are talking about. She gives extra credit on all exams. iClicker is vital, though. Make sure to come to class and get those points, because the will have an impact on your grade if you don't. I can't wait to take another class!

Dr. Liss is absolutely phenomenal. She has such a clear and fathomable passion for psychology and teaching and her enthusiasm carries through all of her lessons. She truly cares about her students and gives many opportunities for extra-credit. I would take any class by her. She's hilarious and personable and is just perfect for teaching psychology.

The textbook is online and the quizzes online you can use your notes etc. She is funny and full of energy! Gives a lot of extra credit to bring grade up. Counts REEF points for attendance. Amazing and so helpful! If you can take a class with her do it! I took Psych 100 with her!

Attendance is mandatory because of REEF questions but if you miss a few classes it won't hurt your grade that much. She gives a huge amount of extra credit opportunities and her lectures are easy to listen to. Everything is online (text book questions and readings). She is goofy but such great woman. Highly recommend talking this class.

I had Dr. Liss for my FSEM which was a class based on happiness. Her work is well detailed and comprehensible. There are a lot of grades so it helps if you don't do so well on a couple of assignments. She is very energetic, makes class interesting and wants you to pass. She was also my advisor. Very organized and on top of things.

I have always dreaded seminar because I knew it would be very hard, as a research class. Dr. Liss makes it not only easy, but fun! Gives us lots of time in our groups to work on our projects and does not make this class a burden on everyone

I really enjoyed Liss' class very much. More discussion-based than lecture heavy - a whole lot of reading! We would do Jeopardy the class before an exam and then would basically tell you what was on it. One paper due at the end of the semester, but she gives clear criteria. Make sure to start this ASAP because she rarely gives out As on them!!

Not a particularly difficult class, just has lots of weekly deadlines and a strict attendance grade like most 100 level classes do. Professor Liss is super nice, helpful, and will definitely try to help you pass.

Dr. Liss give THE BEST lectures! Even when the subject matter is a little boring her personality makes the lectures incredibly fun to watch.

Dr. Liss is an amazing advisor who really cares about her students. She is extremely energetic and clearly passionate about what she talks about. I grew to have a close connection with Liss over the semester and she was someone I trusted to come to about some personal things going on in my life. She is extremely understanding and helpful!

I love Dr. Liss. She is high energy and very fun to talk with. She does have high standards, but will do everything in her power to support you. Big fan of self-advocacy. Can talk around the point and get off topic, but usually you come to adore her. If you go into it knowing conversations with her can be confusing, you'll have a better time.

PSYC 211 w/ Dr. Liss is a team-based class, so there are no exams at all. There are quizzes every 2ish weeks that you take by yourself and then in your assigned groups, and then 2 presentations. I adore Dr. Liss and her teaching style helped me actually retain information. Very accessible outside of class and also very accommodating.
