extremely boring. refuses to speak up. too much reading. hard exams. ambiguous term paper instructions.
interesting course
No Comments
Lots of information, long lectures, droning/monotonous voice. Only 1 midterm, which covers a LOT of material, so very time consuming studying. No study guide.
Lots of info, but he lectures really well and you can tell he knows his stuff. lots of reading though
Monotonous voice, very hard, boring, no study guide, 1 midterm worth 30% of grade and a final that is worth 50%. Immense amounts of reading. Tells you to study everything for the exams.
Nincic is undoubtedly one of the top dogs in the polsci dept and is very knowledgeable in foreign policy. Class consists of a midterm, a final, and a paper.
Nincic is a little intimidating but a great professor. There's a lot of reading, but you can skim most of it. He's one of the best.
Excellent prof. Class was interesting, clear, and relevant. There is reading, but it is really interesting. I would recommend him to anyone who is interested in intl. rel.
Challenging, not impossible. I put off reading until tests, often fell asleep during lecture (powerpoint! always posted on web), and got A. Good TA helps too. Emailed him with trivial question and he replied next day. hee he's like...funny foreign guy.
Nincic and Goldman are the best in the Political Science dept. He knows his stuff. Lectures are interesting, but seem to go on forever. Tests were very easy. If you have to you can either read or go to class. However, it is well worth it to do both.
Very organized, smart man. Course is pretty easy, just make sure you pay attention in lecture, he tests on the minor detail. Be prepared to enjoy your lecture.
Awesome class! I looked forward to every lecture! Nincic's lectures are clear and concise. He really knows his material and loves teaching. He's very helpful and concerned about your well-being. POL 120 is challenging and interesting but not overwhelmin
He knows everything! This guy recites lecture from memory and is incredibly clear and helpful. His tests are not bad but you do have to study.
Wow, he knows what he's talking about! There's a lot to read, but if you understand the basic comments, you'll be fine without reading every word. Watch out for the TA's tho. They'll be the ones to test your reading.
He's fabulous. He's very collected, presents both sides to an argument, very clear and displays his knowledge in a non arrogant matter. There is a lot of reading, but what else do you expect? Keep up with the reading, hope you have a good TA like I di
Read the review below this one. It's spot on. Nincic is easily the best professor I've ever had. He is an awesome lecturer, and the TAs during this last quarter were fantastic. This guy deserves a raise!
very cool. he has great style.
i didn't like this guy. he said ummm about every 5 seconds. he was quite hard to follow because he does not write much on the board, and when he does, he scribbles. you pretty much have to attend every lecture so u don't miss anything. i don't recommend.
Nincic is by far the best Professor I've had in Davis. His lectures are very clear, interesting and easy to understand. I always looked forward to going to class. He is extremely knowledgeable in the field of International Relations.
Incredible instructor. Learned so much and never drifted off in class. No powerpoint, not much chalk board writing, but I managed to stay enthralled in his lecture for the entire class. Everybody must take Nincic.
Unapologetic Europhile who can't stand the u.s. Extremist political views are voiced in class, which have absolutely nothing to do with international relations. Spent half the class on environmentalism. Oh and in class he insisted that the nile runs south
He's ok.. Sort of full of himself though.
He knows his stuff!!and even though he doesnt use power point or write on the board all that he says is important, interesting, and helpful. Nice guy too. Not boring at all. One of the best teachers i've had so far. I highly recomend him.
Very impressive. Great lectures. He needs a class on powerpoint to brush up his lecture skills. He knows the material and made attending his class a must. He is very knowledgable in 'IR'
This professor definetely knows his stuff. Lectures are clear and organized and supplements the reading. Oh yeah and he's hot
He's tight! I love twincic
Most of the lectures interesting, he's gotta a good sense of humor so that definetely helps to pass time during boring lectures. Exams are hard, and you really have to do all the reading, he tends to just pick random questions for exams. TA's are helpful in explaining the readings.
Cheerleaders for democracy and clowns are easy to find in his propagandistic agenda>
Dr. Nincic started off the quarter not so well, but as the subject matter got more interesting over the course of the term, he did too. he has a sense of humor, and occasionally cracks up the entire class. tests can be challenging simply because they are based on a 30pt scale=little room for error.
very cool lecturer, truly!! humor is great. he really works on his lectures, i can tell. even if youre not interested in poli sci, you can learn to love it. he's one of the best.
nincic is a good lecturer, he is clear, his information is up to date and relevant, he is also interesting, but the beginning of the quarter was very boring subject matter fortunately it gets better at the end
Nincic makes lectures interesting and is well prepared. However he manages to throw a lot of curveballs on the midterm. Overall the class is good though.
great and prepared professor.
BEST TEACHER IN DAVIS. knows his stuff and makes lecture VERY VERY interesting. TAKE THIS CLASS!!! he is the best. tests are a piece of cake if u make a study guide and read and go to lecture. I LOVE THIS GUY!
He's funny, he's informative, and his TA's are the coolest people ever. I wish I could take more classes taught by him. I feel like I've learned volumes.
Has a wealth of international knowledge and experiance. Brought-in a few guest lecturers. Slight European accent slipped some students up, but a great teacher overall.
Professor is intelligent and well-informed. His lectures are organized and clear in purpose. He presents the material in a relatively unbiased manner unlike a lot of professors. The material itself seems a little redundant ie complex explanations for simple things.
A very excellent professor, his lectures incorporate current events (those lectures are really interesting- the final and midterm are very fair... and yes the TA were all awesome and helpful.
Very good lecture. Knows what hes talking about. Has vast amount of knowledge about international politics. TAs are great and his class is really easy if you just pay attention. Lectures are clearly easily divided up.
The level of intriguing matter goes from boring to extremely interesting as time goes on. He has no notes. He only puts up outlines on powerpoint, so you have to go to class and take your own notes. There's a lot of reading, but I just went over the bold in the chapters and did fair on the tests.
One of the best lecturers you're likely to have at UCD. Extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter, and very fair to students. The attendance rate was solid all quarter long, which says a lot.
This is a great professor. His lectures were really interesting but you have to pay close attention because the exams are mostly on in class material and sometimes even on briefly mentioned topics. The tests were fair and the workload was managable.
Very clear and knowledgeable, but be ready to do a lot of readings for the discussions and tests.
Very engaging lecturer.
Brilliant professor, his classes were some of the best lectures I've attended. Lots of information, but is explained clearly. You have to attend lectures, because he does test on details. Your exam grades depend largely on which TA you have, they grade the exams from their own sections.
great lecturer. covers a lot of material though, and anything can appear on the test. very interesting class.
Good lecturer, throws some real curveballs on his exams though.
AWESOME TEACHER!!!!Essay tests were VERY reasonable. Read the text, go to class and you'll do well.
Nincic is a great professor. If I could take every class with him I would. His lectures are very interesting. His exams are not all that easy, you have to go to class and read, but it is worth it. You will learn a lot from this guy.
great lecturer! sometimes began to drag, but for the most part i enjoyed him. tests are TOTALLY REASONABLE. just read what you're supposed to and you can ace them. Justin is the BEST TA!
Awesome lecturer; very knowledgeable. He makes every theory he teaches sound plausible. Tests ask for big concepts as well as details (e.g. Roussou came up with the Stag and Hare game). He brings in lots of interesting ideas from lots of sources. Highly recommend.
i've had prof. nincic twice already and recommend him to anyone. it's true that he sometimes asks the most random, obscure questions on his short answer, but if you take good notes and comb through them, u should be fine. u do need to do most but not all of the reading to get by on the essay part.
Nincic was a great professor. Lecturers were well organized and POWERPOINT! Take good notes and hope you have Jennifer as a TA. She was very helpful on the paper during office hours. also, she gave out questions for the reading that were very helpful. Fair exams!
He is by far the best professor at UC Davis. I wish I could have taken him more. He is very knowledgeable and doesn't bullsh*t some of his answers like a lot of profs do. Prof. Nincic's lecture are immensely informative. By far the best professor I had I UCD, and I graduate in 3 months.
great professor. lectures are straightforward and structured. tests on small details so be attentive to what you hear in lecture/what you read.
Coolest professor in the poli sci dept.
Too much information on power point slides and not very friendly but knows what he's talking about.
Next to Spyro, best teacher at UCD. He has such a passion for his subject, that even if you aren't interested in the class you can't help but pay attention. He has TONS of material he lectures on, so you have to write very quickly, but if you do the reading, you will be fine even if you miss some of the lecture notes. TAKE HIS CLASS.
Midterm wasn't too bad. Lectures are pretty interesting. Over all a good course - one of the best professors I've had!
Class Act!!! incredibly knowledgeable yet very modest, great instructor ,good Person, and very friendly.
You've gotta take Nincic if you need IRE 1. You might be a little tempted to sleep in his lecture but if you listen, not reading the books and getting and A is pretty easy. Watch out for the paper; there's a 10-12 page paper in this class, which is pretty long for an introductory class.
He is really passionate about the subject. When I first attended his lectures I felt drowsy at times, but as time passed by the things he talk about got more interesting and thus I've been attending every lecture ever since. For his tests, study is a must. There's no multiple choice, all answers are to be written out.
This is the best class I've taken at UCD by far. I learned so much and everything Prof. Nincic lectured on was so applicable and intelligent. Tests were fairly graded and straightforward as long as you read the texts, GO TO LECTURE!!!, and study your notes. The TAs were also great for this class. TAKE IT! Incredible...I'm a different person now.
He is the best professor i have ever taken in Davis. This man is a scholar. all hes material is very interesting and clear.
One of the best professors at davis. period.
He's a brilliant man. He talks a bit quietly so sometimes I fall asleep (it's early!), but resist your urges to nap. His lecture is way more important than the reading when it comes to tests. Great teacher overall.
Professor often goes on tangents and doesn't come back; very off topic lectures. Hard to take notes off of. Talks too quietly and hard to understand. Monotoned voice and lectures are dull. Hard to stay awake in class. TA was not helpful at all either. Made the subject too dull to learn. TAKE ANOTHER CLASS!
This class is everything you'd expect an International Relations class to be. If you're interested in politics and IR, Nincic adds to his lectures very intriguing analysis of situations- that you dont want to miss. Brilliant, enthusiastic, and engaging.
very nice and energetic professor. definately knows what he's talking about. the tests were difficult to prepare for since there's so many possibilities. the 5of7 short answer questions were random and VERY hard to prepare for. some of the q's werent stuff from the book. if you are use to getting A's, preparing for the final is STRESSFUL= not clear
nincic is awesome! he's an intelligent man, funny, & obviously very interested about his subject. you have to go to lecture cuz his lectures are different from the reading, & both sets of material is fair game on midterms/final. a lot of reading but its not boring or hard. interesting class, excellent professor =]
Let's just say everyone clapped on his last lecture! Take this class its great for those people who wants to know how our world works!
Is an amazing lecture if you're interested in the subject.
Never attended class but got an A on the final. The midterm was picky. Get a good grade by talking to kids from other discussions because certain TAs quiz the students information that will be on the midterm. Other than that, study the powerpoint and notes will be provided.
Professor Nencic is excellent, his lectures are interesting and easy to follow. He starts every class by re-capping the material on the previous lecture so you don't get lost. Exams are very fair, if you study, you get a good grade. The TAs are only there to help the professor grade exams and papers, they were completely absent from the class.
I took his pol123 class and 130 class at the same time. His lectures are very interesting and he definitely made me love political science. 1 midterm, 1 final and 1 paper. A lot of the grading depends on your TA, if you have a good TA your going to get a very good grade. =)
Professor Nincic is extremely knowledgeable, and is one of the better professors at UCD. In order to get a good grade, make sure you attend most of the lectures and take very good notes. I also recommend doing most or all of the reading, as a lot of the questions on his tests deal with the reading. Study a LOT for exams.
great lecturer. need to attend every class for lectures are way different than readings. grades completely dependent upon the TA, he doesn't grade paper or tests, doesn't show up on test days. IDs can be tricky, he pulls out obscure theorists for testing on. very interesting material and doesn't validate stupid theories. basically, good class.
the professor is a genious...
UC Davis' Jack Bristow. Great lecturer, very fair exams and grading. Take this class for your EASY A!
Great lecturer. Exams are essays and IDs, but TAs grade them very generously.
Such a nice guy... EZ A.
I didn't used to be good with IR but Nincic made it really interesting and very easy to understand by breaking up the topics appropriately. No papers and a fairly easy midterm and final if you take notes in class. The TAs were really chill too.
He is an amzing professor! He is one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met... he knows his**** for sure! I love this class, he is funny, intelligent, interesting and seems so nice. Plus he has this little voice you just can't help but love!
i took his pol 03 class last fall, and it's still the best class i've taken so far at this university! Nincic is so passionate about IR that you find yourself engaged in it as well. Keep up with the reading, but it's pretty interesting so its not hard. And go to lecture, you learn so much! Nincic is an amazing prof!
Lectures are interesting, intriguing, and engaging. TA's are really helpful and nice. Reading is not that bad, the material is interesting. Professor has a nice voice that does not put you to sleep. Midterm's are not too bad, not based on specific examples. The professor is really really really nice and laid back. Take this class! You'll love it.
Really interesting class! Nincic knows his stuff.
He really knows his stuff. SHOULD attend lecture since the slides online don't tell you everything that addresses it. The class can get a little boring sometimes, probably depending on the curriculum of the lecture. No curve on the midterm. Cumulative for midterm/final. Be specific on tests because TA's mark down if you aren't. A LOT of reading
Very biased. I really don't understand all the high ratings on here... the class was not interesting, and the format for the midterm/final makes it easy to fail. NOT a good prof.
The class was average easiness and interestingness, if you can get to class-go, if you cant make it youll be OK with online pwrpts. One 6 page paper assignment, not bad - grade just depends on your TA. Final was cumulative. Midterm and final were 1 short essay, 1 long essay, and around 5 ID's so you better know what they cover. Try to read the book
class is okay on interesting level. really try to read the book because the id's seem to come from there, also use real world examples from his lectures and textbook for the exams. attendance is important since his powerpoints don't really explain the material--and the essay portion for the exams can be from any lecture.
hes got a voice he puts on when he lectures....i dont know if anyone else has noticed it...its a monotone voice through all lectures which can be intense at some points especially after less sleep so energy of any form is necessary it would turn out that the major grading and such is all done by the TA so get on your TAs good side and it can hel
He has this monotone voice when he lectures in class, but he gets the message through if you pay attention. You have to read the book inside and out, so don't expect this to be an "easy A" if you don't like reading textbooks. Exams are doable, but you have to study hard for them.

Nincic is an amazing professor who has so much passion for what he teaches and it comes through in his lectures. There is a lot of reading but if you are interested in Interational Relations that it isn't bad. The Midterms and Final were doable, you just need to do some studying. He's a great professor and PoliSci 3 was one of my favorite classes
I've taken 2 classes with him now and both have been great. Loves what he does and it shows. Very interesting and engaging. Exams are reasonable, but you need to do your work. Truly a great professor!
my second class with him, I would take more if he taught more classes!!! simply the best professor ive had in Davis...and probably the only one that could even make a 730am lectures interesting!!!! Goooo to the lectures!!!!
If you want a class that takes 3 days to explain global warming while falling behind and neglecting other topics, this is the class for you! He skipped the EU in an IR class!!! Voice is whiny. He wanders off topic in the middle of an idea. Abuses 3 power point slides per day and often repeats the previous day's lecture. 3 honors students agree!
Awesome. Nincic sure knows his stuff. Lectures are very clear and generally to the point. Encourages students to think beyond the text when applying the concepts of IR to real situations. Still, in addition to going to lecture, it's highly recommended that you keep up with the reading. He's mostly there for the sake of lecturing on specific topics.
A genius when it comes to I.R. One of the best poli sci professors in Davis!
Prof. Nincic is the best professor in the whole wide world. He takes his teaching very seriously, is extremely helpful and passionate about what he does. Most importantly, he is just a wonderful person.
Prof Nincic is excellent -- he is the reason that I'm an IR major now. I took him for POL 3 my freshman year and took him for POL 130 again this year. He's brilliant -- so passionate about the subject and incredibly knowledgable. I'd recommend him to everyone! One thing is his TA's are pretty useless, go to Nincic's OH if you have questions.
Really hard class, boring.Do not take it as G.E
Course was challenging. I would recommend going to class as much as possible, even though I missed my fair share. Just keep up with the reading in the textbook, the other 2 books are not that important. I got by without reading either one. keep on top of the work and it is fine.
Great professor. He is very knowledgeable and loves the subject. I took the class at 7:30 a.m. but it was still really interesting (then again I love politics), just be prepared to take a lot of notes very quickly. If you take good notes and go to lecture you'll pass.
He knows so much! This professor made international relations so interesting. One o the most respected POL teachers on campus. I highly recommend you take his class, even though he seems to prefer early morning classes.
If you want to actually learn interesting things about IR/polisci, take him. He probably one of the best prof i have ever had. midterm, final, and term paper. structure pick 5 of 7 short answers then an essay. great class and prof!
The most intellectually charged man I have ever encountered, he knows the dynamics of international relations and political science like...actually, he is not even comparable to any human being on this planet. Simply amazing. Words cannot even describe how incredible this man is.
One of the best teachers, let alone professors, I've had in my entire life. Professor Nincic's infinite knowledge of the international political landscape provides for lecture-rollercoaster rides, except you're strapped in of your own accord because of how interesting he is. Amazing lecturer. Makes a large class feel tiny by promoting participation
Amazing teacher!
Potentially the most brilliant man on this planet. Prepare yourself for a quarter rich in intriguing lectures and interesting material if you plan on taking this class.
Extremely intelligent man, however, he throws a number of curve balls on the tests. He is usually not specific as to what you need to know, because everything is fair game. Be prepared, do your reading, go to class... seeing as it is not an easy A.
He is a very intelligent professor. His lectures are presented by slides but you need to go to class and do all the readings. His midterm and final are hard. There are no study guides or specific facts you need to know for the test, you just need to understand the material, go to lectures, and do the readings.
Great teacher, very interested in his subject. VERY specific midterm/final. It is nothing like a typical intro poly sci final. Short answer/ID' have answers that he barely talks about. Must attend lecture to do well, must pay attention to every single detail.
Very good professor when it comes to lecture. But based on the previous comments, It seems that this quarter he went out of his way to make the class difficult. Very specific and obscure terms on the midterm and final. Take the class if your up for a challenge.
Smart guy, interesting class. Relies heavily on TAs. Midterm (30%) and final (40%) have really obscure IDs. Textbook is mediocre, he doesn't use it much; lectures are not mandatory, but will really help with the final - that's where the obscure IDs and essay prompts come from. Sections (15%) are mandatory. 1 paper (15%) on a topic of your choice.
He is a great professor and lecture was always interesting, but only take this class if you are able to get up early and make it to class. He doesn't really use the text, so most of the midterm and final is based off of his lecture. The paper is pretty easy, but really depends on how tough your ta is.
Amazing teacher, who definatly made the 7:30a class worth getting up for. (I'm sure I wouldn't have for any other class.) Definatly go to lectures because they are amazing and do the reading (ON TIME!!!) otherwise it's hard to catch up.
Good lectures and I recommend to go to them because his final and midterms include his lectures and textbook. Textbook is thick to read so focus on the main points. Horrible TA who grades hard on papers, midterms, and final.
Gave really good lectures and the textbook he choose to use wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Nincic is very knowledgable about the subject. The only downside was the exams were really hard and basically required you to know every little detail from the book.
Great class, great professor, but very hard. It gives a false sense of security, and as the class progresses, everyone does increasingly worse. The lecture is interesting and I learned a lot, but my GPA did take a strong hit.
AMAZING lecturer, very interesting, especially if you're actually interested in International Relations. However, this class is HARD. I read every reading and attended every lecturer, with good note taking, and only ended up with a D+. He is an expert, and expects you to be one too. However, its worth the GPA hit bc he's such a great teacher.
Great lecturer, a MASTER of material. Greatest part about Nincic is Office hours. His insights on international arms trades and the wealth of information he provided helped me get a 29/30 on my Paper. I cannot wait to take his class again. Slackers: don't bother taking this class. Nincic is for those who really want to learn.
Professor Nincic is one of the best professors I have had at Davis. After 4 years and some pretty bad professors, Nincic remains one of my favorites. First off, HE IS SO SMART. Its so interesting just listening to him lecture. He also manages to explain concepts and theories in a way that makes them clearer then the textbook did. Highly recommended
He's so intelligent! If you're interested in international relations, take the class because you'll learn a ton. I took his 130 class and getting an A or B is achievable if you do the reading- he bases the midterm and final almost entirely on the readings. I'm taking his 120 class right now and it's also very interesting.
He knows a lot about the subject matter. Lectures are highly recommended to attend. Readings are thick but helpful. Class and grading is extremely challenging. His grading structure for the midterm and final offers very little points so every point counts a lot! I learned a lot from his lectures. Very knowledgeable about the global society
Very smart, very intelligent lecturer who gives you everything you need to succeed. Tests were based 50/50 on lectures & readings, and every point counts. 1 midterm, final, and a 10-12 page essay. Learned a lot, and really enjoyed the material. Overall great class & great professor.
Nincic is very knowledgeable but at times this leads him to give an over abundance of information. If he provided a study guide this class would be awesome but the shear amount of material between lectures and readings made it very hard to study. Midterms and the Final had very random ID terms making it a very frustrating class to study for.
Best professor at Davis. He's just a great lecturer. He's very interesting and entertaining and he uses great examples to explain the concepts. Make sure to keep up with reading because it will be on the test for sure. You should also go to office hours because he gives great advice. He doesn't give study guides so start studying early.
He is so informative and effective a lecturer, as good as Spyridakis. Exams were easy, just covering main ideas and a few facts from lecture. His theory about how terrorism is less dangerous than every day accidents- you have to take this class.
Lectures are interesting and Professor Nincic is very knowledgable. Grade was based on a midterm, a final, and the grade you get in your discussion section (which is based on attendance, in-class assignments and a final paper). The midterm and final aren't too hard if you study; reading is a good way to reinforce concepts he discusses in lecture.
He is a great lecturer, I was always intrigued on what he had to say. Although at times he did speak in a monotone which sometimes made you really sleepy. In my opinion, if you take really good notes during his lectures and pay very close attention, you don't have to do any of the readings. You should be warned though, his exams are very specific!
Teacher is intelligent and passionate about his subject which made the class very interesting. Material is useful to know. Midterms and finals are tricky because IDs are random so you have to study everything. Had to write paper for section. Challenging class but worth it!
This class was hard, no study guides and you really have to do all the reading. It was worth it though, Nincic is a really intelligent guy and I gained a lot of valuable and interesting information from his class. You don't have to go to lecture, but he tests on what he says so it's important to go.
Professor Nincic is so smart. He speaks so eloquently and is just an amazing professor. One of the best professors I have had at UCD. If you take POL 120 with him, do the readings and take notes on the readings. He brings them up in exams. Go to lecture and take notes beyond the slides, he has a lot to offer and teach.
Miko, thank you for everything. You are the best professor on the face of the planet. You taught me do much.
I somehow did alright in the class without doing any of the readings, but I would advise against that as a good chunk of the midterm and final were on the books. Prof Nincic's lectures are dense and a definite must. Gave us a study guide for the midterm but not for the final, which was a nightmare studying for. Also a 10-12 pg paper
This guys is brilliant and you'll learn a ton. It's a challenging class but 100% worth taking. Get your money's worth out of college and take it. Also do the readings
Interesting class. Midterm was relatively easy, but his final was completely on things from the first half of the class. MUST DO READINGS... He pulled passage he never talked about for a mandatory question on the final... I found this odd, but thank god I did all the readings. Very dependent on TA for paper grade. DOREADINGS! Wont take him again.
Professor Nincic, is the cutest guy! He's super helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. But make sure to take NOTES, the stuff he posts on smartsite is very doesn't cover half of what he says in lecture. Attendance isn't mandatory but miss one lecture and it will be hard to catch up! Cool guy, interesting class!
An interesting class. Essential for you to read the books. One thing I dislike are his lectures. Questions he asks seem rhetorical. I put my hand up for a question for 15 MINUTES. My arm was about to fall off. He made eye contact with me 3 TIMES but still didn't call on me. He didn't want me to interrupt his lecture. VERY DISRESPECTFUL I think.
Don't get what all the hype's about. He rambles, is disorganized, clearly resuses old lectures. Doesn't stick to syllabus. Only looks at the part of the class that sits to his left. Other half gets ignored. Weird irrelevant questions on final and midterm about things only mentioned in passing. TA Konrad was nice. TA Roi extremely rude.
Worst Teacher I ever had. Purposely mislead the class on what to study for the test. Avoid at all costs
Good teacher, rift between lectures and what is expected for the tests. Assigns a lot of reading, which is fair but expects small details to be rembered in 100+ page theory papers
Nincic is an amazing lecturer and is extremely knowledgeable. When it comes to the lectures themselves, he's the best professor I've had at Davis. However, he is horrible at preparing us for exams. He gives no indication of what will be on them. Make sure to take a lot of notes, and do ALL of the readings while taking extensive notes.
